Complete My Album Doesn't Work

I've been having this issue since December of last year and actually posted a discussion about it in March, and I was wondering if anyone had had any success at getting Complete My Album to work again. Basically, iTunes does not give me the option to complete any albums. The text is not grayed out as it should be. I'm wondering how to fix this, because I don't want to pay the full price for an album when I've bought most of the songs off of it. Thanks!

It's likely the exact version of the album that you
downloaded at the time has been altered or
reconfigured in some way, leaving the files mapped
improperly on the iTunes servers. Go to your
purchase history, click "Report a Problem" next to
Five for Fighting, and fill out the web form. iTunes
customer service will get back to you, typically
within a day. I have had nothing but excellent
results from this and usually have had my problems
solved to my satisfaction.
Doing this would be fine for an album here and there, but I have over 100 I can "Complete" and I'm getting this message on almost every one of them, and it's been going on for a couple weeks.
We shouldn't have to "Report a problem". We should be able to click the complete button, and get the rest of the album just like Apple is telling us we can. It's gotten real annoying clicking all the "Complete" links untill I find one that actually works.

"Complete My Album" isn't working on my computer

I can download singular songs, but when I try to download any album with the complete my album feature it doesn't connect. No error code pops up. It just doesn't work (accessing itunes store pops up at the top, but goes away after a few seconds). I can buy the album, but I already have four songs off of it, so I don't really want to pay for those too. I've checked my internet connection, cleared my browsing data, and even turned off my firewall for a little while to see if it was a connection/security problem, but nothing is working. Any help is really appreciated!!!

I can copy and paste the email responses if necessary or desired, and if it's fixed already this is a moot point anyway, but basically they kept asking me for the order numbers for the two songs I already bought from the specific album I was trying to complete, which I eventually gave them - along with telling them multiple times that the Complete My Album feature wasn't working for ANY album. They gave me two free song codes to compensate me for the two songs I bought, and then told me to go and buy the album at full price, but the ENTIRE TIME they COMPLETELY ignored that I was telling them that this wasn't an issue with one album but was a larger, seemingly systematic issue that other people were experiencing. Even after I got the song codes I emailed them back and said AGAIN that this wasn't an isolated feature, and they just sent me the link to the apple Feedback page (http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html) and told me to submit my complaint there. So, technically, my issue was never really "resolved," in that they never fixed the Complete My Album feature that I am aware of - or even acknowledged that anything needed fixing, but I haven't tested it since Sunday.
If it's working for you, then hopefully they fixed it! I've noticed they've updated to 10.4.1, but the notes don't indicate they're fixing anything about the Complete My Album feature, so I don't know.

Sort Albums Doesn't Work

I have a bunch of albums in iPhoto that I am trying to sort, and it just doesn't work.
When I select them, right-click, and choose "Sort Albums" from the context menu, either *nothing* happens, or else the order of the albums is altered in some seemingly random way but the results are not alphabetical order.
I don't see how the program could somehow not understand "alphabetical" so there must be something keeping it from actually doing the sort. Anybody have any clues?

When there is a selection, if "Sort Albums" will do nothing then the option should be greyed out. Otherwise, it should sort those items which are selected. Doing nothing and giving the user no feedback is not acceptible.
You are right, that is confusing. It is either a bug or a poor design.

The "Complete Percentage" box doesn't work

Can anyone tell me why the b0x remains "0% Complete" even though the form is filled out correctly?

Complete My Album feature not working

The “Complete My Album” feature on the iTunes store is not working when I get to the final step of actually trying to purchase the rest of the album at the reduced price. On the home page of the iTunes store, I click on the "Complete My Album" link and I can see all of the albums eligible for completion. However, when I click on one of them (no matter if I click the little arrow, the “Complete this album for $X.XX” link, the album picture, etc.), and it takes me through to the album page with the track list, etc., my previously purchased items are not grayed out or in any way labeled as "Previously Purchased", and the album is only listed at full price. Either way, I then click “Buy Album,” and it warns me that I have already purchased songs from the album, and it asks me to click either "complete my album" or to "purchase the full album."
HOWEVER, when I click “Complete My Album," it simply returns me back to the same album page as before - again nothing is grayed out, the album is listed at fullprice, etc.
P.S. – I have tried this with multiple albums, I’m using the most up-to-date version of iTunes, and it appears from these iTunes community forums that this problem is affecting people with both PCs and Macs.

Music album doesn't work on iPhone 4

I have an iPhone 4 and about a month ago I bought lil Wayne's new album on iTunes. Recently, I went to listen to the album and it doesn't work, it says the song is playing but no sound comes out.

I fixed my powerbutton easily with some
water repellent oil. I dont know what its called, it is that thing you use for locks and hinges anyway. My iphone powerbutton has been working for like 7 months now. There is no difference from when it was new! I can really recomend this. Just remember to turn of the phone and have it upside down when you spray. And dont use to much! Theres no need for more than a few drops.

Complete my Album doesn't play the single download as a whole album

I had purchaser the single of the Payphone from iTunes and when the album was released I did a "Complete my Album" purchase of the same Album. iTunes won't play the single when palying the album. It is not shown as being in the album at all, even the track number is omited. How can I get that single to play in order when selecting the Album without creating a special playlist just for this album. I thought when you did a "Complee my album" it would do just that not omit it from the album and keep the single as a seperate track. Any Ideas or did I do it wrong?

Often, a single released in advance of an album will not have the album title associated with it. Instead it is listed as a single. When purchasing the rest of the album, the single is not downloaded again. To fix it, select the single and type command+I to open the song's information window. Select the "Info" tab and edit the album name to reflect the actual album title and enter the correct track number and total number of tracks. Click "OK" at the bottom right of the window to save your changes.

Do you mean that you can't download it or that you've downloaded them but the tracks don't play ?
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

Shuffle by album doesn't work

Hi, i have a 5g ipod 60gb. I have about 15 different albums by the smashing pumpkins. I want it to play a random song from each album, like if i was to have the 15 discs in a 15 disc changer and put it on disc shuffle, it would play one song randomly off a random disc. How do you do this, its the main reason i got an ipod to begin with?

You could create a playlist containing just the albums you want to shuffle, then in the iPod, go to SETTINGS > SHUFFLE, and set it to SONGS. Then, go back and play that playlist & it will be shuffled.

Sorting albums doesn't work for some

Hi,
I added several files which have the same album name and same album sorting name, however, itunes add them under seperate albums?!?!

[SOLVED] iPhone not -completely- detected (ifuse doesn't work)

Hi All,
After following the wiki ( https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Iphone ) and looking for similar problems on the forum ( https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=133822 ), I still can not get my iPhone to be detected by ifuse, in order to be able to sync music.
The iPhone has iOS 5.1.1 and is not jailbroken.
The system has installed:
linux-lqx 3.4.2-1
ifuse 1.1.2-1
libimobiledevice-git 20120610-1
usbmuxd-git 20120610-1
libplist 1.8-2
I boot up the system (fuse module is loaded at startup), unlock the iPhone, and connect it to the system. I got:

But when running ifuse command to mount it:
No device found, is it connected?
If it is make sure that your user has permissions to access the raw usb device.
If you're still having issues try unplugging the device and reconnecting it.
On the other hand, Shotwell is able to see it, and import pictures. In case it's relevant, I'm using Gnome with gvfs-fuse-daemon. Any clue about what could be failing (apart form me )?

Yeah, you need to patch your libmobiledevice (not git). My istuff running 5.1.1 have the same problem. See dant's patch in this flyspray.

Complete my albums does not work

I downloaded 9 of 41 tracks from a cd (coca cola "free iTunes song" action). I now would like to buy the rest of the cd but that option is not available in the iTunes store.
Does anyone know a mail address where I can ask Apple for help on this one?

Album shuffle doesn't work

For some reason, selecting shuffle by album doesn't work for me. In fact, all of the three shuffle by options seem have the same effect; shuffling by song.
whats going on? shuffle worked fine in 4.9. what did apple do to mess up a perfectly working shuffle feature? Am I missing something, or are other people having this problem?
On a similar note, I'd like to be able to select what type of shuffle I want by playlist, so I don't need to go into preferences to switch that when I change playlists.

Album shuffle is currently only working if you have the smart shuffle slider exactly in the middle (ie, "random"). If you move the smart shuffle slider in either direction it causes album shuffle to instead become "song shuffle".
So, place the slider back in the middle and it should work just like it did in 4.9.

Complete My Album

I am trying to purchase the album Dick Diver - Calendar Days.
Track 2, Alice, already exists on an EP which I have previously downloaded.
iTunes is giving me the "Complete My Album" option, even though this would mean that the album would be missing a track.
I want the album and the EP to both contain all tracks, so changing the metadata is not an option.
How do I download the full album?

Here's an idea. Do the complete my album, doesn't the proper missing track show up with the rest then in the Cloud followoing this for re-downloads?

"Completing My Album" function doesn't work

I bought a song about 10 days ago and now want to buy the rest of the album. Several days ago, when, I checked on the album, iTunes offered me the reduced price after giving me credit for the song already purchased. But when I checked yesterday and this morning -- same computer, same iTunes account -- no reduced price is offered. Nor does the album appear when I click on the "Complete My Album" link on my iTunes store home page. Any suggestions?

This is so incredibly frustrating... I have bought 6 singles as they came out for an album, once the album came out, I only got credit for TWO songs. So now, iTunes wants to charge me 10.01 for something that should only cost 6.05!!
