Complete My Albums disappeared

Just 3 days ago I had close to 80 albums that I had not completed and were not set to expire any time soon, yet when I logged in this morning I only had 7 albums to be completed. Is this an iTunes glitch or have they been removed for some reason?

  • Why has complete my album disappeared?

My complete my album link has gone missing this weekend. Is there some sort of backdoor to access this? I know I have eligible albums because when I go to an albums page,I still have a complete my album button and discounted price. I want to be able to see the whole list again.

    I found a link on http://blazingminds.co.uk/find-complete-album-itunes-v9/
    Complete my album:
    Complete My Album on iTunes
    translates to

  • Itunes 9 and where is complete my album gone?

    Hi
I'm sorry if this question has been answered before but where can I find the complete my album section in the itunes store? or has it been got rid of?
    Thanks for your help
    Fortissimo

I'm having the exact same problem. Ever since "upgrading" to iTunes 9 most of my Quick Links such as "My Alerts" "Complete My Album" and "Upgrade to iTunes Plus" have disappeared.
I started one topic on this myself and have seen several others and have yet to see any solution. The problem persists whether I am logged in or not.

  • Complete my Album Link

The Complete my Album Link that normally appears under "quick links" has mysteriously gone missing, as of roughly two months ago. At first I thought it was a glitch in my system, or with the then-current version of iTunes. I've updated to new versions of both MacOS and iTunes since, and the link is still nowhere to be found. While I can still complete any eligible album by manually searching for it, it would be really great, Apple, if you can get on this. Anyone with identical trouble, a reply and any advice you could give is greatly appreciated!

Same problem here in Austria. It showed me the 'complete Album' after buying a song, but the function disappeared the next day. I tried to buy the same song again and didn't even get the message that I had bought the song already. It even doesn't show I bought one song already when viewing the album page.
I wrote to support, but didn't get yet any answer regarding the missing function.
    I had a look at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1849?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
The page has been updated on January 15, 2012. There is no mention of discontinuing  the service. They write:
"When you buy individual songs from any qualifying album, you can complete the album at any time, as long as the album is available for sale on the iTunes Store."

  • "Complete My Album" link missing

"Complete My Album" is currently missing under Quick Links. Prior to this disappearance, I had actually been unable to complete my albums at all--the reduced price wasn't showing. I am currently running iTunes 9. Is anyone else having the same issue?

  • Complete my album complications

When I selected to complete my album on my iPod Touch its downloaded the rest of the album but shows up as a seperate album from the ones I purchased previously. Is there anyway I can get them album into one rather than seperate to help the quality because the songs actually flow into the next.

  • TS1702 Hi, I bought The Truth About Love album on itunes as a complete my album from my Iphone4S.  I can see the name of the album as a purchase on my Mac Notebook 2004, however I am not unable to add the music to my itouch and is doesn't show up in music

    Hi,
I bought the Truth About Love/Pink's album on itunes as a complete my album purchase as I had bought a song from the album previously. I bought it via my Iphone 4S.  When I turn on itunes on my Mac Notebook 2004 (IOS X 10.4.11) I can see the album as a purchase but it is not listed in my library music nor can I add it to my Itouch 2nd generation.  Do you know why?  I can access the songs on my iphone but nowhere else.

They will only be on your computer's iTunes if you put them there. If you are in a country where you can re-download music then they should show under the Purchased Link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes. If they don't show there then you can connect your phone to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over.

  • To complete the album.

I have bought a hits album
and then I want to buy the album, but I see that some of the songs. Already been purchased.
If I buy just the songs that have not been purchased. To complete the album.

    Hi,
Try going into Itunes store > quicklinks > Complete My Album. Is this album list here? If not, you only need to the three remaining tracks as you already have the rest from the Hits album.

  • ITunes offering a complete my album offer when I go to purchase an album, but won't show the discounted price.

I bought a song off an album a few weeks ago.
So today I was going to purchase the album.  Instead of showing the Complete My Album discounted price, it shows the full album's original price.
I click purchase, and it gives me the option to purchase the album at a discounted price (doesn't say what it is).
I select that option, and it redirects me to the same page, same album, same original price with no discount.
I've checked on the ipod app in my iPhone, and it has the complete my album option, same as the original price.
I remember it being a lower price before when I went to check the album, several weeks ago.
So, I went to that Complete My Albums page in itunes, for the full list; I know there's several albums that should still be there.   Nothing.
Is this happening to anyone else?

This has happended to me. Emailed Apple and have gotten no response.

  • Complete My Album isn't showing up as an option?

I purchased five songs off of an album because I didn't have the funds to buy the full album but now I do and iTunes isn't showing the option to complete my album. Help?

  • HT1849 a single album I already bought can work with the whole album using 'Complete my album'?

I already bought a single album of MUSE (Survival - Single)
and I wanted to buy the whole album of MUSE (The 2nd Law)
then I realized that I could buy other songs except for 'Survival' for $10.7 using 'Complete My Album' (Original price is $11.9)
so I bought 'The 2nd Law' album for $10.7. but there isn't 'Survival' on the 'The 2nd Law' album playlist.
single album and whole album are seperated on the playlist. how I get the whole album playlist??
Do I have to buy 'Survival' in the whole album's list to make perfect 'The 2nd Law' album playlist??
    plase help me.

I have this exact same question / issue too and it is definitely something I would LOVE to see Apple fix ASAP.  It is especially important to me because so many popular artists release Singles (as Single Albums) weeks or even months in advance of their full album coming out.  When I have the choice, I ALWAYS prefer to buy a single song from the album it is on (in case I like the song a lot and want to check out more from that artist) - however, this is often not possible due to the "Single Album" phenomenon.  Sidenote: could you just freakin' get rid of Single Albums altogether (when there is an associated real album)?  They clutter up the See All Albums view horribly - at least give us a filter or something for the real-deal studio albums vs all the junk.
While it is great that I get "credit" for my purchase from the Single Album towards the real Album (thanks for that Apple), I personally have a strong preference to then see the original single as part of the album instead of as a stand-alone.  It's just cleaner organization-wise, easier from a usability standpoint (you can actually listen to the whole album you bought using the album filter!), etc.  It would at least be nice to have the choice to "convert" the original single to the Album version, if Apple is concerned about forcing the change (I personally would be happy with a forced change, but if given a choice would always convert).
    Please fix this!!!
    My example:
-Bought Calvin Harris, "Feel So Close (Radio Edit)" back in March '12 (I think it was released in August '11) for $1.29
-Completed My Album by buying "18 Months" album for $8.70 recently (released Oct 30, 2012)
-Was happy to pay $8.70 instead of $9.99 (got full credit for the $1.29 I spent on the single) - good job Apple
-Am now frustrated that "Feel So Close (Radio Edit)" has different Album info, different Album cover art etc - BAD job Apple
Would love to hear that this is going to be addressed soon - hopefully with a retroactive converter tool too??
PS  I realize I could manually adjust the metadata for the track to make it match, but I HATE the idea of doing that.  Very clunky solve and I personally would be worried that I missed something or didn't "fully" change everything, the underlying file is not exactly what I would have gotten from the full album version, etc.

  • Photos and photo albums disappeared, but iPhoto library still has 60 GB.

Photos and photo albums disappeared, web gallery titles remain but show (0). iPhoto library still has 60 GB size. How do I retrieve photos, events and albums. Thanks in advance.

Are you getting an "!" in the window when you try to edit a photo. The "!" means that the library has lost the file path to the original file. This happens when there has been an interruption to iPhoto while it is writing to it's database file, Library6.iPhoto. Moving, renaming files or folder inside the library package while in the Finder is another way you can get that indication. Try the three fixes below in order as needed:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options.
2 - rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: It may take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. Report back on how long it took and how many photos you have in the library so we can give other users an idea of how long it may take.
3 - start over with a new library and import the Originals folder from your original library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Open the library package like this.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Complete My Album and older purchases no longer showing as purchased

I have noticed that on many of my older single song purchases, I do not have the option to complete the album (but on others I do so it isnt some account issue).
It seems that for whatever reason, some albums get re encoded and re uploaded. When that happens they delete the old version from the store but leave it on their servers and your previously purchased songs are still attached to the old no longer available for purchase version. They dont migrate your purchases over to their new replaced version (were talking same exact album here, not a newer extended version or something)
You can re download them from the cloud no problem, but when you view the album in the store, it doesnt show any purchased tracks. If you re purchase one of those tracks it now shows in the cloud that you own it twice. (the album are will usually have slightly different coloring from being rescanned) I downloaded them both and the size was a bit different, the newer one even had a slightly higher bitrate.
Just figured id post this here for anyone not able to complete an album and thinking there is an issue. You can test it by deleting the item from the cloud (it just hides it) then going into the itunes store account area and going to the manage your hidden tracks area. If you sort by songs and click the album name, it will either take you to the album page or tell you that this album is not available in the US store (or whatever region you bought it in). If it says the latter, then you purchases are from an older encoding of that album.
I have no idea why they do it like this, its pretty rediculous and leads to a bunch of issues like the endless threads by confused people not knowing why they cant complete an album. Its because the album you bought a song from isnt for sale anymore, even though one with the same name and songs is.

  • I can't find the "Complete My Album" button in iTunes.

Hi I'm new to itunes and hope someone can help me.
I was in the process of buying an album and a window poped up telling me I already have 2 of the songs on this album and this was making me eligible to buy the album at a reduced price. In order to check the songs I already had and to buy the album at a reduced price I had to click the "Complet My Album" tab or to continue and buy the album at full price, it said to click "buy album". When I clicked "Complet My Album" nothing happened.
What am I supposed to do to buy the album at a reduced price?
Where or when does the "Complete My Album" apear? I can't find it anywhere?
By the way, both songs I have from that album where only bought yesterday and today. I just didn't know they were on this album.
Thank you for your attention to my problem.

The link should be in the upper-right of the iTunes Store window, under the Quick Links header, below Browse, Power Search, Account, et. al.

  • Complete my Album doesn't play the single download as a whole album

I had purchaser the single of the Payphone from iTunes and when the album was released I did a "Complete my Album" purchase of the same Album. iTunes won't play the single when palying the album. It is not shown as being in the album at all, even the track number is omited. How can I get that single to play in order when selecting the Album without creating a special playlist just for this album. I thought when you did a "Complee my album"  it would do just that not omit it from the album and keep the single as a seperate track. Any Ideas or did I do it wrong?

Often, a single released in advance of an album will not have the album title associated with it.  Instead it is listed as a single.  When purchasing the rest of the album, the single is not downloaded again.  To fix it, select the single and type command+I to open the song's information window.  Select the "Info" tab and edit the album name to reflect the actual album title and enter the correct  track number and total number of tracks.  Click "OK" at the bottom right of the window to save your changes.
