Complete newbie needs help inserting flv file into DW

I'm having a challenge today. A client sent me two flv files.

installed CS4 I installed Flash for the first time so I'm

problem. But I'd never opened it before (never needed it

app won't open. I just spent a ton of time uninstalling and

and rebooting over and over and nothing...
So MAYBE, for now, I don't need it to work. I've also never

Flash into DW. But it looks easy enough. In my html page I

insert/media/flv. So far so good. I've ftp'd the flv file so
I'm able to =
complete the dialog box with the path and size etc. I've
uploaded the =
progressiveplayer.swf and the chosen skin swf. I've saved the
html file =
it's embedded in and uploaded it. Shouldn't I now be able to
see this =
flv file displayed on the page? What did I miss? Here's the

From my little knwledge, it is not possible to insert FLV
file in the HTML page directly.For this you have to made a player
with flash which plays the FLV.And this swf can emdded in the HTML
page.
You can also download free flash videoplayers like JW Player.

Need help uploading mp4 file into Muse

Help please!
I have a very nice quality, short animation I want to add to my Muse website's home page, but am stuck on putting the video file into the site. I have found that I need to change the mp4 into a swf (flash) file, but I couldn't get that to work either. (Flash gives me the error: "One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them." when trying to import the mp4 and mov file to convert to swf. I have tried HTML5 also, but can't seem to get the code right.
Can anyone help me get this video file into a Muse site? If that means I just copy a piece of code and put it into Muse that would be great. If it means I just have to drag and drop, that would be even better! (dreaming a little bit!)

NEED HELP - - Inputting data files into a table, Selecting from previous to put in new table, Saving new table

I am trying to import data characters from a tab delimited file into a table in labview. After I import the strings, I want to be able to select individual strings from the table and put into another table. I want the item that I am selecting to appear in a text box labeled 'selected step'. After I put all of the selected data in the new table, I want to be able to save that table in another tab delimited file (spreadsheet). This is what I have so far. Any help given will be GREATLY appreciated.

Here are modifications to your vi to do what you are describing. It helps, when trying to work through issues like these on this forum to not start a new thread with each iteration of your question. Those of us that are trying to help can follow it better if you just "Reply" to your previous thread with the new, related question. If the question is for a totally new issue then a new thread is best, but when you are working through the details of essentially the same problem it really helps us follow it if you stay in one thread, and that usually means faster answers.
We also like it if, when an answer helps, you give us a rating (the more stars the better) as it is about all we get out of it!

How to merge files into one PDF:
Within Acrobat XI, select File > Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF.
Click Add Files and select the files you want to add.
Click, drag, and drop to reorder the files and pages. Double-click on a file to expand and rearrange individual pages. Press the Delete key to remove unwanted content.
When finished arranging the files, click Combine Files.
Select File > Save As > PDF.
Name your PDF file and click Save.

Need help embedding FLV files on a page

I am working in apex 4.2 and am having trouble embedding a VLC player in an apex page. So far, I have been able to embed and play wmv or mpeg videos in apex. I am primarily testing in IE. Will worry about other browsers later (Sofari, Mozilla, etc).
I have downloaded and installed a vlc player. The source code is as follows:

My only other "hunch" is that I haven't added or mapped out a mime-type for video/x-flv to one of the config files on my server. Could this be the problem??? Either way, I'm still stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Update:
I removed the "iTunes Library" file from Home>>Music>>iTunes, which allowed me to get back into iTunes, but I don't know how to connect to the files without it locking up again in the event that the mount to her share on my iMac becomes unmounted again.

Need help inserting flash movie into article...

I inserted video into flash movie. I loaded the .swf & .fla files onto a server and went into the properties in the flash movie and pointed to the server to pull the .fla file & the movie controls .swf file. I can preview the movie in flash with no problem.
I am wanting to use the object code that was created as part of the .html file that was generated by flash and insert this into an article to display the video. I path the .swf file in the object code to point to where it resides on the server but the video will not play using just the object code. Is there a way to do this using just a object or embed code without the need for scripts?
(I am using CS4 version)

If the swf file does not reside in the same folder as the html page that loads it, then if the video is dynamically loaded into the Flash file, chances are the targeting in the swf needs to be adjusted. If the swf files just targets the video by its filename alone, try putting the video file in the same folder as the html file and see if it gets loaded.

Complete novice needs help getting SQL Query into Crystal Reports XI

So I was given an intro level web course and a monster reference guide in prep to format a report. One of our developers wrote me everything I need for the report into a SQL Query and now I'm supposed to format it in CR XII literally do not know what to do from here. I'm able to set up the correct server as a datasource, if that's useful, but I don't know how to make the querey into a bunch of formattable fields in CR. If anyone can walk me through this, I'd be so grateful. I've attempted to look up SQL query in both the help and the book but I keep hitting a wall. The help dialog says things like "press this button" with no reference to what "this button" is. I'm sure it's obvious to the knowledgeable but I'm in a complete fog. Thanks in advance

IF you're trying to get assistance with setting up a query as the source for a report, try posting your Crystal version and the database type.
Different software works differently.
In CR 9 and above, under the connection to the database you'll see Add Command. Select that and you can paste the query in.
As for not knowing how to generate a report, that requires experience, there's no generic solution of course..

Need help with flv file

I have a webinar file(flv)that I'm trying to open that said it needed Flashplayer. I downloaded flashplayer. It's in my add/remove programs window, but it doesn't show anything on the right side(file size). Does that mean that it isn't installed? I tried uninstalling and download/install. I tried to open with Swiff, but had no success. I'm about to delete the file because I'm wondering if the information is worth the time I have into it.

Need help with moving files into Itunes and syncing

Please help.
I have an external hard drive with my music on it. I created a new playlist in Itunes and did a drag and drop from my external hard drive into my newly created playlist.
Now that I go back and play the items I brought over, I get an error that says "original files not found" and it won't play and therefore does not seem to be syncing to the Ipod to be able to play.
Can you please give me guidance as to what I can do without recreating all the work I had already done?

Need help importing MOV files into iMovie

I am trying to import MOV files from a USB disk -- into iMovie's event library. When I click on the files on the USB -- they are grey and won't import. They will play in QuickTime. What could the problem be? I have the latest OS and am up to date.

Can you maybe try converting them? Download the free program called Miro Video Converter from the Mac App Store. Drag the video into the window and set the output format as mp4. iMovie should import that properly.

Newbie needs help with flv project

I have several small video clips, roughly 10-16, all
converted to FLV or in MOV formats, that I am looking to put
together into a single FLV that allows each of the videos to run in
a loop, on display at the same time. The effect is to create a grid
of videos that all play simultaneously, in a loop. They files have
no sound, so it's just video. Does anyone have a clue how I can do
this?

Sheilad83 it will depend on the program. Some plug-ins and features may still only be available in the 32-bit version of the application. NEWBIE: Need Help Sending Music Files

Everytime I try to send even a small music file (300 KB)... I get a "Message content exceeds size limit"
Do I need to change my settings someplace?

Unfortunately Patsfan, You cannot do anything to change this setting!
This is a limitation that was set by your phone services provider network!
MMS message are to only be allow to be sent over their network if the size is "LESS" than 300kb, you might be able to get away with "300kb exactly" but still it has to be within that size!
If you notice when you are in video mode on your phone and go to options it gives you two "video formats" to choose from
1 = normal mode
2 = mms mode
If you choose the first mode, you can record videos for as long as you want, granted you have a memory card that has the available space. But you most likely wont be able to send those videos using mms because they probably have gone over the 300kb size limitation for sending via MMS.
If you choose the second mode, the videos that you record will stop at about 40-50 seconds or before the video size goes over 300kb. And thats just the way it is. This mode assures that all your videos will be under 300kb, and in a format that can be sent by mms GUARUNTEED.
The only work around for this are mainly two things:
1 - Send the video by email and not MMS.
or
2 - find some third party software that will allow you to work around these size limitations.

Need Help Importing Video Files Into Premiere Pro 1.5

Hello,
I recently bought a JVC Everio with the built in hard drive so need for capturing anymore. Anyway, when I went to import the footage that I recorded on the camera, Premiere says "File Format Not Supported". When I dragged the clips off of the JVC's harddrive each clip had two files one type was a .MOI and the other type of clip said MOV and the clip number like MOV042 for clip number 42. Do I need some type of video converter to open these in Premiere? I can't even import them in Windows Movie Maker, they don't need to be great quality or anything just some music performance clips I wanted to throw on Youtube. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

After my "learning session," I also thought of another resource for you. Besides the PE forum (in the old days, I know that they had a FAQ on the JVC files, but I do not think that it has been restored yet), you might want to post to the "Community" area, basically their fora, over at Muvipix. I know that there has been much discussion on the JVC files there, and believe that several forum members use those cameras. Might be some easy steps to convert your files so that PrPro can use them properly.

Inserting a FLV file into CS5.5 project

Hello,
If anybody is able to help me with my question I would be forever grateful.
1. I use CS5.5 and I have published a captivate demonstration as a MP4 - then converted it to a FLV file using Adobe Media Encoder.
2. I have then inserted the FLV file into another captivate CS5.5 project and published the file as a flash file.
Problem - The FLV file plays when previewing in web browser, and also plays on a public file location. Problem occurs when I load the published file onto a web server I get a connection error when I get to the slide with the FLV file.
I am really stumped with this one. Has anybody any ideas?

Attached is a screen dump. I can understand why when I publish the final flash version to a web server that it does not recognise the path of the FLV file as it is on my local drive. However when I attempt to place the file name of the file sitting on the web server I get another error message (Refer to screen dump 2). Obviously I am missing something
