as per my knowledge
Project Foundation(Free module)

Project Contracts?? is it a module??
Portfolio analysis?? is it a module?? do oracle ve dis module??
Project DBI??
whatelse in project suite??? Please some1 help me who has firm knowledge on it....
thanks a lot in advance.....

Hi
Project Suite includes:
Project Foundation
Project Costing
Project Billing
Project Management
Project Collaboration
Project Resource Management
Project Portfolio Management
In addition project oriented companies may use -
Project Contracts (it is part of Contracts suite)
Project Manufacturing (it is part of Manufacturing or Supply Chain)
Projects OBIA (pre configured reporting solution which is part of OBIEE).
What goes with what?
You must have Project Foundation as basis for any project related application.
Project Costing is a must if you want to track the project cost. It is also essential for managing capital projects. You can also budget using that product.
Project Billing is an addition needed for contract project, if you want to generate and account for revenue, and for generating invoices for customer.
All other modules are felxible and you can add each one of them separatlly.
However, Project Collaboration is uaually used on top of Project Management.
Project Contracts can be used as stand alone, but it is usually implemented on top of Project Billing.
Project Manufacturing is integrated with Proejct Costing.
DBI and Project Inteligence are "old" reporting applications, but it is not recomended to start any new implementation with those, since strategically, Oracle will not continue to invest in those.

  • C project Suite

    Hi ,
If anybody has worked on C-project suite. Please let me know the relatonship between table "DPR_PROJECT" and "DPR_PHASE". Its not on field "GUID" that is sure.
Is there any BAPI which relates these tables??
Actually I want to get the "Name of the Phase( which is released)" for a project.
The name of the phase I can get from the table "CGPL_TEXT". The field "GUID" of CGPL_TEXT and field "GUID" of table "DPR_PHASE" are equal. But the problem is only that How can I get the name of the Phase for a project which is in table "DPR_PROJECT"  (Field GUID).
    Its urgent .Please reply.

    Hi Le
    Integration with Collaboration Projects (cProjects)
You can use this process to integrate SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) with cProjects. This enables you to handle your entire purchasing process for materials and services from sourcing to time and expense recording using cProjects and SAP SRM.
The process is used in the business scenario Service Procurement External Staffing.
    Prerequisites
*To integrate SAP SRM with cProjects, you have made the necessary configuration settings as described in
*SAP Solution Manager under  >Scenarios> Service Procurement-> External Staffing->  Business Processes --> Requesting External Staff .
    Process
You send an external requirement from cProjects to the SAP SRM sourcing application.
The SAP SRM system creates a requirement and sends a confirmation to cProjects.
As a purchaser, you process this requirement in the sourcing application and create a purchase order. Alternatively, you create an RFx using SAP Bidding Engine. The system sends the purchase order number and the item number to cProjects.
SAP SRM records the times worked and the expenses incurred and sends them to cProjects. The time recording in SAP SRM is a prerequisite for the complete mapping of the RFx in cProjects. The time recording in supplier self-services (SUS) cannot be mapped.
    More Information
For more information about Collaboration Projects, see SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/ SAP ERP  SAP cProject Suite  Project and Portfolio Management  Collaboration Projects  Integration with Supplier Relationship Management .
1.you may need to connect with cproject server by sm59 via rfc connections
2.in spro define backend system - you must define cproject system names
    3.cprojects url -definition-if any
    4.users with cproject roles

  • Do I Really Need To Uninstall IMovie '11 to Access Completed Projects from IMovie '09?

    Hi everyone:
    What's Happening
I would like to uninstall IMovie '11 so I can complete a project I spent hours (and hours) creating in IMovie '09.
I am frustrated that IMovie '11 has deleted the project I had previously in IMovie '09, after I upgraded to IMovie '11.
Immediately after I upgraded to IMovie '11 recently, I DID see my previous '09 projects still reflected, although I also noticed my IMovie '11 removed weird, random features (titles, mostly) during the transition. And it was very random - i.e., some of my titles were reflected; some HALVES of my titles weren't, etc. Just random.
Noticing this and not wanting to miss anything I did with my completed project (which was already good to go, before the upgrade), I then tried uploading the last fully complete version of my project, as edited in IMovie '09. I went into my Time Capsule and just went back by a few hours and restored those project files. However, IMovie '11 not only did not recognize any of my '09 projects, it actually DELETED all of the projects it originally showed me when I upgraded. So now I was totally out of my project files!
Therefore, if I want to edit that and publish them ASAP, it seems I have to literally:
    Uninstall iMovie '11.
    Reinstall '09.
Restore my last completed '09 project file.
    Upgrade again to IMovie '11.
This time, if I notice some titles are weird, don't try to bring any of my old files with me again. Just let them naturally show up as they did before, and literally fix and comb through literally every. single. quirk. or new error I see.
    My Question
Is this really what I have to do in order to retrieve a project I already spent hours completing in '09? Or is there some shorter way to retrieve those files that IMovie '11 has dismissed and deleted?
Also, does Apple know about this bug? Are they doing anything about it? Does anyone know?
Any answers would be HUGELY appreciated!
    Thank you,
    DRS.

Thanks for your reply, Klaus1.  I'm currently running Snow Leopard.  I'd considered upgrading to Lion but was told, even by Apple, that I wouldn't be satisfied with its slow performance on my iMac 24.
I have plenty of hard drive space with 160 GB available on my internal hard drive, but I've been storing the archived video clips and the iMovie projects on a fire-wired, external 2 TB drive.  Could it be that using an external hard drive for the iMovie project is part of the performance problem?
A quick check on the Apple website shows that my iMac 24, which was manufactured in mid-2007, can support up to 4 GB of RAM.  I wonder if I should consider a RAM upgrade before upgrading the entire computer.  How big a deal is it to replace RAM in the iMacs?

  • Validate profit center in complete Project Structure

    Hi PS gurus,
I want to validate profit center in (complete Project Structure) Project definition, WBS elements, N/W Header and N/W Activities.
    •     Presently in the WBS Element there is a possibility to check (Project definition and WBS elements)
    PROJ-PRCTR = PRPS-PRCTR
However I couldn’t able extend the same to N/W Header and N/W Activities (as shown below)
    PROJ-PRCTR = PRPS-PRCTR
    AND
    ACT01-PRCTR = PROJ-PRCTR
    AND
    AUFK-PRCTR = PROJ-PRCTR
    •     Also there is a validation for checking the “Consistency Check Project Structure” here I can able make the above customization. But I don’t know how to activate this (this cannot be used in Project Profile OR in Network Profile)
So pls. through some light on this and suggestions will be rewarded.
    Regards,
    Harisha

    Hi,
The validation rules customised to the project defination & the WBS elements can be activated in the project profile by entering the name of the rule & checking the auto validation button.. similarly the rules for the network and network activities has to be maintained in the network profile & this network profile needs to got assigned to the project profile.
    Hope this helps you.

  • How to export completed project to DVD?

I've recently returned to the Mac world based on jobs and have compiled a birthday video for my father in law.  We are supposed to give him this video as a gift tomorrow night but I did the recent update to my iMovie and now am having trouble using the program.
Can anyone help me figure out how to burn my completed project to DVD?  Under my Share command, the options listed are Theater, Email, iTunes, YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, CNN iReport and File.  Any suggestions?  I tried saving it under the "File" option and then importing it to iDVD but it looks like the file saves as an mp4, which doesn't want to import to iDVD.
Would love any help that can be provided!

First enter the DVD into the computer. Then go into "Share", click "Export Movie", and then find the DVD on the desktop or wherever it is on your computer and it'll export.
    BUT
As I see it - there are two KIND's of DVDs
_ Data-DVD - to store files - Can not be played in any Standard DVD-player - and this is done on desktop/finder
_ Video-DVD - for movies to be played on standard DVD-Players - and to structure and en-code this one NEED a DVD-authoring program as iDVD, DVD Studio Pro, Roxio Toast™, Burn etc.
So What kind of DVD do You need ?
And if iMovie'13 (ver. 10.0.x) has NOT changed this. The Share to DVD will result in a Data-DVD (I do not have last version of iMovie to test - hench why I make this remark) but this goes for all iMovie till iMovie'11 (ver. 9.0.x).

  • Can I blend 2 completed projects into one?

How can I tie a completed project onto the tail end of another completed project for export to you tube an easy way?
I know the youtube export function; it's the idea of publishing back to back in one vid.

I haven't tried this myself within iDvd alone since iDvd is not really a utility whereas Toast is. Not sure if iDvd alone allows for such a feature. My guess is that it does not.
However, here's what is possible provided one also uses Toast 9 or 10. Simply use the merge feature within Roxio Toast 9 or 10 for two separate Video_TS folders (found within your iDvd) onto a single dvd. Here's how:
    Making a VIDEO_TS Compilation
You can create a DVD by compiling multiple DVD-Video VIDEO_TS
folders onto one disc and play it on a set-top DVD player or in a Macintosh
or Windows computer with a DVD player.
Some VIDEO_TS folders may be too large to fit on a standard recordable
4.7 GB DVD. Toast can compress this video to fit on a standard DVD, or if
your recorder supports dual-layer recordable DVDs, you can create a duallayer
    DVD-Video from this folder.
This is the best choice if you have multiple VIDEO_TS folders that you
want to compress on one DVD-Video disc.

  • Deleting A Complete Project

When finished or when required, how do I delete a complete project from Motion . . . ?

For starters, make sure you really do not need the project.  Motion project files by themselves are generally pretty small, so i wouldn't worry about filling up a hard drive with them.  I'll say it repeatedly, be careful some steps delete media, make sure you have backups of video clips. Depending on how you've created and saved your project, here is how to delete them.
Project file only: Move it to the trash and empty the trash.
Projects saved with "Collect Media: Copy to Folder" : Drag the folder with the project and media to the trash and empty it. WARNING: make sure you have copies of your media.
Compositions/FCP Effects, Titles, etc.: In the file browser, right click on the Preview for the project. An option to Reveal in Finder will pop up, select this.  This will open the folder containing the project, media and previews.  Go up one level in the Finder and you will see the whole folder.  Drag and drop this into the trash and empty. Again...WARNING: make sure you have copies of your media.

  • Backing Up Completed Projects

I am using CS6 Premier Pro.
After finishing a project I copied the folder with all my files to an external hard drive. I deleted the original project folder on the internal hard drive. Then I verified the project would open on the external hard drive. Everything worked fine except it needed to render the transitions etc.
I'm curious why it needed to render the transitions etc again? My preferences in Premier are set to "Save Media Cache files next to originals when possible". I verified that the "Adobe Premiere Pro Preview Files" folder was indeed on the external hard drive in the project folder along with all the "Project Name.PRV" folder and all the rendered files for the project.
I'm probably missing how and where Premier keeps its rendered files for preview.
Any idea why Premier needed to render the preview files again after moving the project?

There has been a lot said about the"best practice" for backups.
In reality there is no right or wrong, but having all your backup eggs/Libraries in one basket can be risky.
I use your later suggested method as it suits my style of work.
I prefer to have each Project, Event/s in there own Library. Self contained unit.
When the Project is done the complete Library is copied to another drive, plus if it's important another drive is used for a second backup.
What you have to work through is what gear you have or need to aquire to make your backup method secure and easy to do.
Nowadays you need lots of drive space and thankfully Terabytes are cheaper than ever.

  • How does one export a completed project to archive media?

I just finished editing my first video with FCP-X.
I want to be able to archive the project, in its entirety, to another drive, complete with media.  That is that all media files are included so if the client wants me to go back and make changes, updates, etc., I can just move the archived project back to my Movies folder and everthing will be right there so I can get back to work.
Then I want to then be able to delete the finished project from my Movies folder and begin a whole new project.
I would really appreciate some help, or if I can get pointed to in the right direction to find the instructions.
Also, is it true that FCP-X can only work on one project at a time?

    Hi Tom,
I have the same wish copying a project with used clips only to another drive for storage that works as independent project.
So I executed the command “duplicate project + used clips only”  (i checked "include render files") creating a duplicate onto a second drive. When I wanted to check if the duplicated project would work independently all files were missing (I unplugged the first disk where the original project+events are stored).
It appears that FCPX creates alias files of your media referencing to the original event on the first disk. So it still needs the original event files to work properly!!??
My question: is there any way to really duplicate a project + really used clips (no alias) only that works INDEPENDENTLY of any other files in other locations?
(the reason I want this is that I don’t need to store the entire original event with transcoded media being 3 times bigger than the original media that comes from my DSLR)
    Thanx a stack in advance
    Cheers
    Caspar

  • Imovie complete project

After completing a iMovie or Idvd project can it be imported to Final Cut Express?

    iM08/09 offers you two options:
export a XML file, which is just a 'edit list', telling FCE which clips to import, how to arrange them and how to 'cut' them. no additional work, effects, titles, audio transferred.
2nd option: choos export with quciktime, for HiDef choose Apple Intermediate as codec = that 'consolidates' the project to one single, solid file, FCE can open as one clip.
consolidates means: you can not edit titles, tranitions etc.
so, BEFORE transfering, keep in mind, what you like to do in each app.
for instance, I used FCE as 'special effects machine' (=keyframing animations, multi tracj video etc) for some iM projects, so +vice versa+ in transfer direction.
or, you do a 'rough cut' in iM to reduce material, transfer the XML and do all post production eyecandy in FCE..
or, you use only the nice ready made Themes in iM, and do the whole capturing and edit in FCE...

  • Change aspect ratio in a nearly completed project

I need to change the aspect ratio of a nearly completed class project from 720x480 down to 720x418.  My source material is x418, but I started the project at x420, and I need to get rid of the black bars.  I thought the crop tool might do it, but it doesn't change the aspect ratio of the project.  Please help!

You can't do this in FCP. You need Compressor to create custom image sizes like this.

  • Making additional edits to completed project

    Hi,
I am currently working on a documentary for school. I finished the documentary and then made a new project and copied and pasted about one minute of the documentary into that new project (I had to have a sample of my project as part of a class presentation). Now that that is over and done with, I need to make further changes to my original project However, when I open up the project, I get the completed documentary in the viewer and a blank timeline and bin as part of an "untitled project."
How do I get the entire project back?
    Thanks

Well, that's your problem. You're trying to open an exported movie as your project. You need to find your Final Cut Pro Project File and open that one. It will show all your files and edits.
