Complete reinstall help required

Hi and I hope that someone can help with this, I expect it is
covered somewhere else in here but I have looked and searched but
not found it.
My problem is very simple I think. I keep getting lots of
JavaScript errors when working with DW8 (installed as part of
Studio 8). I think this is down to a conflict of installed
extensions. I tried disabling and removing all extensions to cure
it but that didn't work.
So I then tried a full reinstall but when reinstalled DW
found and started using some extensions again without my asking it
to.
I assume that DW /Studio 8 has this info stored somewhere
that isn't removed completely when DW is uninstalled.
So what I want to do is eradicate anything on my hard drive
that might be causing the problem so that I can get a clean
reinstall from the discs and then add 8.02 on top and hoepfully
everything should be fine again.
If anyone can help by telling me what I need to remove it
would be much appreciated.

You can try this simple fix -
Quit DW.
Find this file -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
and delete it.
Restart DW. Does this work?

Hello everybody, Im trying to update my ITunes on my MAC (laptop) to the newer version so I can then be able to update the latest updates for my Iphone-3G. I don’t require a complete reinstall just need to be able to update my itunes.
What I have tried so far is I had my MAC search for update’s and it said that I should update to (ITunes version 10 . 6 . 3 ) So I asked it to do the update but after 2hrs of waiting for it to download/update it then puts up a message saying the following- (In order to continue installation, please close the following application: ITunes).
When I tried to do this another message comes up that says- (The update ITunes can’t be installed. The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for Apple mobile device support. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
I have also tried to run the update while having closed ITunes before I even start the update but the same problem happens after waiting about 2hrs.
Some one that had the same problem said this might be happening in the older operating systems. But that does not make sense because surely Apple want customers who own a MAC and i-phone to still buy from iTunes.
My MAC is about 4-5years old. I have a i-phone.3G,

My ios phobias began when I was gifted an iPod; terrified using "iTunes" on PC laptop, certain that syncing specific things would result in loss of data, cold sweats when a new "IOS Update" arrived, shock horror and awe at the entirely foreign & colourfully creative world of "Apple Language". Today my sadly underused iPad (4th Gen.) froze. The first go-to "reboot" wasn't working and the only thing on the device I had access to was Siri- and we really don't get along or talk very often... On June 10th 2012 (4:10am) you posted & responded to a query. (A "soft-reset"?!! Brilliant!) That post, saved me from pitching all my devices into the bin, today-three years later. After wasting hours fiddling w/o hope, I dipped a toe back in to Apple.com "support communities". I found your post quickly. Not at all the case (for me, with my ingrained "PC lingo") in the past. So, I thank you one thousand times, I've no idea why there exist tech angels such as yourself, why you do what they do for free, w/ no obvious benefits or profit-but I'm a "follower" now. I am trying to sequence SQL 2012 in 4.6 SP1 Sequencer ,with the following components selected in SQL.
1. Client Tools Backward Compatibility
2.Documentation Components
3. Management Tools - Basic
4. Management Tools -Complete
Sequencing Part goes fine. But in client when i launch the management studio it says that "Invalid
License Data,Reinstall is required"
requesting to you please help us to resolve the issue.!

There's a visual studio run time which needs to be installed locally.
Launch the install for SQL 2012, when it extracts the install media, it drops them into a randomly generated folder under C:\ grab the vssetup. Ensure that's installed locally on your machine
That was enough to get it to work for me BUT I believe, since I sequenced, something changed with an update and now there's some other steps required. Peter S, shared this with me. Try these steps:
Under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT there's a Licenses registry key. If there's a value remove the value, do not delete the key, leave it there, if it doesn't exist create it. Set the virtualization level as Overwrite in the.
Create a PRE-LAUNCH Script which runs:
“VFS\ProgramFilesX86\Microsoft Visual Studio
10.0\Common7\IDE\DDConfigCA.exe” inside the package*. This creates the
machine related license key inside the App-V environment.

Urgent help required: Query regarding LC Variables

Sometime earlier I was working on a performance issue raised by a customer. It was shell script that was taking almost 8-9 hrs to complete. During my research I came across a fact that there were some variables which were not set, the LC variables were impacting the sort funnel operations because of which the script was taking a long time to execute.
I asked them to export the following commands, after which the program went on smoothly and finished in a couple of mins:
export LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-1
export LC_MESSAGES=C
export LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-1
export LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-1
export HZ=100
export LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
Later I did recover that setting the LC_COLLATE to C, is not helping and the program was again taking a lot of time. Few questions that I want to ask are:
1. Can someone please tell me, what each of these variable mean and how these values make a difference.
2. When I exported LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-1, it worked fine, but when i tried with the defalut value LC_COLLATE=C, then why the program didnt work.
As this issue is still going on, hence I would request All to provide their valuable inputs and let me know as much as possible.

Hi All
A new development in this regard. The customer has send us a screen shot in which they were trying to export the locale variable using the commands which I have pasted above. I can see in the screen shot that while exporting LC_COLLATE and LC_TYPE, they get a message that ""ksh: export: couldn't set locale correctly"".
Request everyone to please give their inputs as it's a bit urgent.

Controls the behavior of character handling functions.
LC_TIME
Specifies date and time formats, including month names, days of the week, and common full and abbreviated representations.
LC_MONETARY
Specifies monetary formats, including the currency symbol for the locale, thousands separator, sign position, the number of fractional digits, and so forth.
LC_NUMERIC
Specifies the decimal delimiter (or radix character), the thousands separator, and the grouping.
LC_COLLATE
Specifies a collation order and regular expression definition for the locale.
LC_MESSAGES
Specifies the language in which the localized messages are written, and affirmative and negative responses of the locale (yes and no strings and expressions).
You can use command
# locale -k LC_CTYPE
to see more detail about each type.

I have successfully installed all of my creative cloud apps with the exception being acrobat.
I cannot print from Indesign to PDF.
I have unistalled, reinstalled and still no Adobe Acrobat.
I now have to go back to Windows 8 and create the PDF's there.
Any one know how to get around this issue?

OSX has effectively killed the ability to print to pdf, (print to pdf eliminates most of the "Rich features" of current pdf).
Export from InDesign, always, excpet for the 1% of the time where you know why print to pdf would produce a better result.

MBP stucks on blue screen on login, even after complete reinstall

Hi everyone!
This is REALLY driving me nuts. Three days ago, I found one of my MBP apparently on sleep but with fans running full speed and unable to wake up. As usual, when this happens I just force it to turn off but this time after the Apple logo (OS loading) I got stuck on a blue screen before the login window.
*What I already have DONE trying to solve this (please read)*
- PVRAM reset
- SMC reset
- Full check with Disk Utilities (no problems)
- Started on verbose and single-user mode and done almost everything there (fsck, checking console.log, etc…)
- FULL OSX REINSTALL, erasing every partition (even "zeroing" the disk) and installing from external drive (installing from DVD didn't seem to work, but the optical drive is fine). Still same problem.
*Other symptoms*
- After waiting like 5-10 minutes on the blue screen, it shows the login window just fine and I can login. From there everything seems to work OK. I can use my computer "fine"
- OSX loading (gray screen with the Apple logo) takes forever
- Mac doesn't wake up from sleep
- It runs quite hot
- I can boot in safe mode, but the auto-check at the start of that mode doesn't solve the problem
- When it is stuck on the blue screen, no cursor is shown. If sleep mode kicks in, the computer freezes on the login screen, can't do anything.
At the beginning I said that one of my MBP was affected. Well, one day after the EXACT SAME happen on my OTHER MBP, EXACT same symptoms. (MBP 4,1 and 3,1 both on 10.6.6)
I think this could be a corrupt firmware (remember this happens even with the complete reinstall) or a really weird hw failure or something beyond the OS.
As you can read, I can use my computer (both). I'm writing this on it in fact. But I can't fully fix it and I have spend almost entire days on backups, possible fixes, forum browsing… really this makes my days a living **** (not kidding!)

The reason I ask is because there have been a few cases here where the initial boot process was searching and searching for a FW port, but the port was dead, and it caused long delays similar to yours.
No, no new HD or RAM, but is not stock HW (upgraded RAM and HD several months ago, never a single problem on either computer).
RAM may be suspect. Have you updated software recently? Some RAM can be compatible with an earlier OS, but then out of spec after an update. If you have the original RAM, I would put it back in and see if that's the issue. If issue persists, try removing one of the modules and booting; if that doesn't work, swap the module into the other slot. Repeat with other RAM module. This will troubleshoot the RAM and both slots.
There also seem to be a growing number of issues with non-Apple-branded HDs, so I'm not sure that can be ruled out. If you have original HD, and the time to put it in, and you want to get to the bottom of this, you may want to give that a try.

It's best to start with figuring out your eMac model and OS in order to answer the question. This article will help you determine your model:
How to locate the serial number and identify your model
And to get the version of Mac OS that's installed:
From the Apple Menu at the left end of your menu bar, select "About this Mac..."
In the resulting Window, you can see the Mac OS version just under the big "Mac OS X":
If the eMac is older and you have never upgraded the system software, it's possible that your OS version is too old to run the current iTunes. The current version requires OS 10.5 (Leopard)or higher, which is a pay-for system upgrade.

Is there a way to completely reinstall my mail program?

I'm having serious problems with my Mail program and am thinking that maybe if I just completely reinstall Mail on my MacBook Pro, that might help. How would I go about this? (And is there a way to do it without using those discs you get when you buy your computer? Because I lost those when our basement flooded during Hurricane Irene!)

Your problem is more likely because of something in your User, the Mail program is a global item, meaning many users can use the same program.
You can try a simple fix first.
Use the Finder > Go to open:
~/Library/Preferences
and drop the
com.apple.mail.plist
file into the Trash, reboot the machine and launch Mail, reset your preferences. See if that fixs your issue. (the plist file is automatically recreated)
To find out if it's really something in your user or the mail program itself, create/log into a another user and use the Mall program there, if issues still occur, it's the Mail program.
(If it's not in the Mail program, reinstalling it will make no difference.)
The Mail program is reinstalled from the 10.6 disks as bundled programs, or part of a "OS X overwrite" that replaces your current OS X and bundled programs with the older version on the 10.6 disk, you need to immediately Software update afterwards to get OS X and bundled programs current again.
To perform the OS X overwrite, hold c boot off the 10.6 installer disk and simply install OS X, then reboot normally and apply Software update to get current. The Mail program itself will be replaced.
Some third party programs that have kext files and other "hooks" into OS X may not function again after performing the OS X overwrite, you just need to reinstall these programs again from fresh sources and it will replace those hooks/kext files back into OS X.
Please backup your files to a external storage drive and mainatin two seperate hardware copies of your data off the machine at ALL times.

Windows 7 upgrade or Complete reinstall

Looking for some advice. Currently have purchased a x200s with vista business and its the frikkin brill! although my little x30 still doing the business after years of abuse thought it time to upgrade , I will need the xp compatibility feature that windows 7 gives you for some software in work and I have done a bit of research and all I hear about are problems with the upgrade and that is is better to do a complete reinstall etc etc.
I have run the Windows 7 advisor and with the exception of a few lenovo software (wi fi) etc issues seems to be compatible, however I love the thinkvantage software and the lenovo/windows set up I have. I just don't want a blank install of windows.
Is there anything I should get in advance? Also is I upgrade will all traces of vista be removed as I have a 128GB SSD, and need to keep tabs on space, and I suppose upgrade or reinstall?

I intend doing this before doing anything. I think I'll try and get as many drivers for downloaded before i start. Ive no doubt there will be some issues there alway is. But I will try the upgrade and see where I end up (probably back here!).
I see lenovo reccommends removing some software such as fingerprint software etc before upgrade. I take it the system will do a auto check for updates via thinkvantage once windows 7 reinstalled?, assuming i have an internet connection and that wi fi will work after upgrade.

IOS7 Reinstall Help

I updated, with no problems.
But I have having quite a few issues:-
- iTunes Store is hanging (I know this has been reported by a few others)
- App Store wont let me accept T&C's so I can't update/download any aps.
- The Alarm wont respond to swiping on screen or tapping to snooze.
- The 'Today' tab is showing old info - like an Alarm already turned off and no up coming events that are upcoming.
I have rebooted, done a reset and then restored from my last back up to no avail.
Can any one advise on how I can completely reinstall iOS7 - I'm happy to try again, but I'm not sure how I can potentially roll back and then reinstall or just reinstall.
Any advice or words would be muchly appreciated - as not being able to download anything from the App Store my biggest issue.

What I would suggest for you if you ar up for a clean install to do a force restore as new.
What I mean?
You will basicly redownload the iOS and reinstall, and this is why you need the force restore.
So you put the device in restore mode and let iTunes do its job. When you and up to activate the device chose as new and don't restore from your backup.
So then you have a "clean" device. Now you go and login with your Apple ID and try downloading something. If issue persist them it's probably something with the iOS7 or server side. If issue dosn't appier then it mean's Backup is doing most probably the problem.
The idea is to isolate the issue. Would even recomend to test with other Apple ID.

I am getting this error message when I attempt to open a ".sln" file.
The window title is "Visual Studio 2010 Shell".
I purchased sql Server Developer 2014 60 days ago. Have never installed Visual Studio on this computer.
I have followed all of the uninstall / reinstall instructions and the problem is persisting
It appears to be a very common error message by the google search. This is a show stopper for me and I am surprised that the solution is apparently so elusive. Please Help!

Complete Reinstall

HELP!!
I have 2 hard drives and I was advised to do a complete reinstall. All my drivers/important information was copied to the other hard drive.
I insterted the WinXp disk went through the setup up
I got to were you need to select which partition to install, I pressed the D key to delete the selective partition but I deleted the wrong one(whoops!)
I realized my mistake and pressed the F3 key to Quit.
I have now done a complete format on the correct drive Xp recognizes the other drive but when I explore it it asks me to format the drive.
I have not formated the drive is there any way I can restore my files on the second drive.
CAN ANYBODY HELP!!!

In "the old days," unscrupulous techs and users used to FDISK to delete someone's partition(s). It was much quicker (and thusly effective) than reformatting their drive, and then, there was no possible recovery.
These days, out there in Data Recovery Land, there's a way to read and convert the raw data still on your drive, but that often costs MUCHO DINERO, and some companies make their living at it, so don't expect them to share their trade secrets for free.
If you can and want to pay for a possible, affordable solution, then you might try this link:

They have a demo version that might be able to tell you if your partition is recoverable. The commercial version, which purports to actually be able to FIX the problem, costs $29.99. You might possibly find it on some P2P servers, but I don't encourage ripping off software. You might "try before buying," and if it works, then officially purchase the software; this still isn't legal, but since it's more of a civil matter than criminal, you aren't likely to be prosecuted if you get caught after you fix then pay. If you DO go this route, use the "honor system" and pony up to the company that saved your data.

Item 1 confirmed qty 1 and delivered qty is 1
Item 2 confirmed qty 10 and delivered qty 10
Item 3 confirmed qty 1 and delivered qty is 1
Now the item3 still has open requirements of 11 to be delivered. But the item is GRAYED OUT already.
even if I do ATP the qty is not confirming for the remaining 11 pieces.
Why is that? How to make that item out from GRAY.
How to confirm the remaining 11 qty for that item.
Help required as early as possible.

     ---the partial deliveries in master data must have not been mentioned.
     ---the deliveries should be upto target quantity.
     ---check order type, item category and schedule line category.
     ---check unrestricted stock availability.
