Completed 1 of 2 items forever.

Safari is extremely slow sometimes. I'll load one page fine, then click a link and it will stall after completing 1 of 2 items. If I stop the page from loading and reload it sometimes it will load fine, other times remain stalled. This happens with one window open, with one tab open, and multiples. Right now I only have Safari open and this page took three tries to load. Problem is worse when running through an Airport Express which extends our network. Do these have random loss of wifi throughput?
Just reset Safari again and no difference.

From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset. Web pages now include a small icon or 'favicon' which is visible in the address bar and next to bookmarks. These icons take up disk space and slow Safari down. And make sure Safari is not running in Rosetta. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle so it faces down. Where you see Open using Rosetta... make sure that is NOT selected.
*Try a different Airport Channel*
Open AirPort Utility, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a computer using Mac OS X.
Select the device you’re setting up, and then click Manual Setup. Enter the base station password if necessary
Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
Choose a new channel from the Channel pop-up menu and click Update.

Get a USB drive of 2TB or more.. assuming your TC is 2TB. Either preformatted Mac or plug into your Mac and format it standard Mac OS Extended Journaled in disk utility.
Do a full archive of the TC. You do this using airport utility. Do not click the erase disk.. I marked in green.. just the archive.. that is to backup the internal disk to the USB disk. It is not fast.. take it that the process will go at around 40-50GB/hr.
Once you complete the archive .. it is a direct image of the data on your TC.. you can then plug it into your computer directly.. and then try and open the files you lost.. if you cannot open them.. open disk utility and fix the permissions.

It is possible to fix things on the USB drive because it is locally mounted.. but you cannot fix it on TC which is network drive.

Hi all.
I've been having this problem for a while. I have a file server on a windows xp system with multiple drives attached to that pc (internal and external).
When I try mounting one of them from the finder I get the message :
+*The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Movies” can’t be found.*+
Other drives on the pc mount just fine and actually the problematic one used to mount fine and then suddenly it seems that the mac lost the path to the disk and can no longer find it.
I tried reformating the drive, changing the drive letter, and naming. It worked for a while then the drive got lost again
Its a WD drive formatted to ntfs (Identical configs and brand to all the other working drives) Its not a drive defect either. Its happened more than once.
I'm quite knowledgable when it comes to computers but this has been a dead end for me and I'm sure for others as well.

I was about to post exactly this question. I have suddenly lost access to the folder on my shared network drive although the drive itself is still visible. I get the above error message when trying to open folders within. I have tried connecting through various routes such as Go - Connect to server ... but its the same.
A discussion thread elsewhere talked about deleting multiple share point entries ... over my head though.
Hope someone out there knows the answer - and how to explain it in plain english

Ok. This is my first and hopefully only discussion ever! Thanks in advance for all the help.
I had set up my network and this was all working fine for months. Time Machine did proper back ups and I could store files on the drive as well over the network. Not sure how, or exactly when this error began. It may have had something to do with the upgrade to Mavericks.
But I can see the drive when I open Finder (which I have named Airport) can then access the directories but will not load any of the files. If the Finder window is closed and I try to access the external drive again via the network, I am prompted with.."The operation can't be completed because the original item ".(Airport)." can't be found. Also of note...there is no "eject" option beside the name of the drive.
I have found only one solution that was dated in 2008 where someone was deleting volumes from their machine and the instructions were not quite clear, so I'm hoping for some new insight on this issue. Honestly, I just didn't understand how to do what he said...several have asked him to elaborate but no further explanations and all other links are now dead. It seems this is a common issue. I'm aware many people will read this and want to say..."i Have this problem too, when im doing something with windows and other computers..." There are many solutions for these situations that I have found....but no recent ones for those with ONLY one drive and an airport extreme running only Apple computers. So guys, lets try to keep this thread for one topic only. Hopefully a quick and helpful thread with a few replies and some step by step directions to solve everyones toubles.
I even had my router replaced and still the same issue. Also, the hard drive works perfectly when hardwired to my computer. So the issue must lay within the settings of my MacBook Pro, OS X 10.9.1. If you feel I should provide any other information I would be happy to do so!

Thanks for the input. I had to look up what SMB stood for, server message block? So I'm assuming this is not something I'm using.
Also, this is not a "sometimes" problem. This is a consistent and reproducible issue.
As far as an update...I dont see an OS update fixing my issue unless something is overwritten, but maybe not.
I think a good point to consider and open to discussion is why does logging in as a root user solve the issue? What can be done or manipulated to allow functionality with my regular login info versus a root user?

I hope someone can help. I am running 10.7.5 OSX currently on my Mac Book Pro. I recently got a new Windows 8 desktop. A ceap one running Windows 8. I currently have 5 drives shared over my home network. 3 are working just fine (the 3 I just put on the network today). The other 2, however, were previously on my old Windows Vista computer also shared over my network. My Mac Book Pro had access just fine (I set up sharing on my vista comp) and everything ran smooth. Today when I hooked up my new Windows 8 computer and put the 5 drives on and shared them via my network, same way as I done before, 3 are working fine but the two original drives give me an error when I try and access them from my Mac over my home network. They both show up with the correct names but when I try and access them it tells me:
The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “M&V” can’t be found.
M&V is the name of one of the drives. Here is the trouble shooting I have done:
- Renamed the drives multiple times
- Tripple checked my permissions
- Checked for updates and installed both on my PC and Mac
- Restarted my PC and Mac
- Tried Both of my dual frequencies on my netowork
- Tried hooking up with ethernet cable
- Changed the user name and password for my shared access on my PC multiple times and put in the correct info on my Mac
- Tried taking away all passwords (unsecured)
- My other Windows PS's can access all drives just fine
But still I get the above error. I have isolated it to an issue with my Mac. I was thinking maybe if there is a way to have my Mac forget the shared drives and I can re-add them and put in my password, I am not sure if that is even possible. I am at al loss on what to do. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

After upgrading to Mountain Lion I can no longer access my exFat formatted USB drive that is connected to my iMac from my MBP. I can connect to the iMac, but when I try to mount the USB drive I get an error message saying "The operation can't be completed because the original item for "EXTERNAL" can't be found."
I have enabled only 'SMB' in sharing preference on all of my machines, and all are running Mountain Lion.
*I have since tried connecting directly with the IP address, same result, and also reformatting the USB drive to just FAT32, same issue. I need the drive formatted in a windows format so my home theatre system can connect to it.

Update, So I disassembled the external hard drive case and pulled the bare drive out and connected the drive directly to my motherboard and without change any settings on the PC, the MacBook can now access it over the network. What is it about externals that the Mac can't access them over networks?

I've started to get this problem too. The only place I can't create a folder is on the desktop - other folders/locations are fine.
When I do "new folder' it first asks for the password and then fails with the "you do not have the necessary permission" message. I'm using the only user account that has been created on the Macbook Pro since it was installed. It is defined as an Admin account.
I've tried reseting the Permissions and ACL using the Terminal program after interupting a re-boot. That didn't have any affect though. I also tried changing the privileges by right clicking on the desktop and going in via Get Info...again. either I'm doing it wrong, or its not working.
Apols if this is an easy Question - the Macbook is for my son and I'm an OSX numpty (having used Windows more ;-)

Yosemite recognizes my BlackBerry Z30 on my Network. I see my Media Folder and my Removable_Sdcard.
Whenever I try to access them I get this message:
The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “media” can’t be found.

How to set delv. completed in 2nd line item which created in PO by default

When creating 1st line item by default the 2nd line item has been created. I understand that the 2nd line item is free because no net price has been stated but free good check box in not ticket. Further more the 2nd line is grayed out including all tab in item details. Meaning we can't do any changes in this line item.
User set delivery completed in 1st line item but couldn't set in 2nd line item. This caused to this PO show still pending for delievery when run the report. How we can set this 2nd line item has delivery completed eventhough GR haven't done fully.

The 2nd line is free good that assign with 1st line item. This has been set in purchasing info record under condition view. Thus when I create PO for 1st line item, system created 2nd line item as auto default. The issue here is the 2nd line item & all the field that in item details in PO become grayed out eventhough I go to ME22N. I cant do any changes on 2nd line item. I believe there would be some control maintain for free good. Please advice. Thank you.

I receive this error message "The operation cannot be completed because the original item for "backup" cannot be found.

I performed a clean install of Lion, then upgraded to Yosemite. Now, i am trying to restore files and programs from my backup in my time capsule but when i connect to the backup folder i receive this error message "The operation cannot be completed because the original item for "backup" cannot be found.
I previously had mavericks installed and was able to backup and restore just fine. I do believe that within the time since i last performed a backup or restore there was an update for the time capsule that i ran using my iPhone. I need a solution to this issue.

Yosemite can take a very long time to index the backup.. and it seems to be impossible in my own testing to get back beyond the latest one.
If you cannot manage a migration.. which I guess is what you are trying to do.. see if you can do a full restore to a USB drive plugged into your computer.

Update "Delivery Completed" Indicator in PO Item via EDI

We have another challenging task regarding purchase order confirmations that we would like to tackle (SAP Release is ERP 6.0).
The 2 partner in our scenario are distribution companies (= DC) which order goods and production companies (= PC) which deliver the goods:
(1) DC sends purchase oder via EDI (ORDERS IDoc)
    -> creates sales order in ERP of PC
(2) PC splits sales order into multiple deliveries.
   Each delivery is sent as outbound DESADV
   -> creates inbound delivery in ERP of DC.
(3) At some point the PC has completed the sales order
   yet it is possible that less was delivered than was ordered
      (i.e. we can have under-deliveries).
Now the question is:
How can the PC transmit the final information "SalesOrder completed" implying that the "Delivery Completed" indicator in the PO items should be updated (= 'X')?
My assumption is that we need to look at the sales order (ERP of PC) because this is the document which "collects" the information from all the split deliveries.
Any help related to understanding how the (standard) business process would look like and how to translate this into a technical solution (EDI / IDoc) is more than welcome.

As you mentioned, I tried to check with the Workflow solution by tracking the events through Business Object BUS2032 (Order) or LIKP (Outbound Delivery) but failed to get successful results.
Problem with BUS2032, event CHANGED is that it doesn't get triggered when the Header/Item level status changed during delivery Processing.
While using BO- LIKP (Outbound Delivery Processing), Events - Changed,Created, I am successful in triggering the event, but the problem with BO-LIKP is that, it does not have the item level details in the ATTRIBUTES list. To get the balance quantity available for order line item (mentioned in my earlier reply)Item details are necessary to findout the Reference Sales Order & Line item. With this, the Option of Triggering of Workflow using LIKP didn't give the required result.

Complete Delivery at Line item level in Sales Order

While creating a sales order for some customers (the sales area tab in the customer master data has complete delivery and full delivery at item level), the complete delivery flag should be enabled and partial delivery flag at item level shoulb be C.
We have a situation where this is not working in some cases. I need to know what user exits are copying the customer master data into the sales order fields. Please give me a lead how I can proceed with this.

Complete Deliv and Mixed Item cat and Availability Check

Not sure if this is problem is new, I have searched with no clues.
A SO has 2 item categories. ZTAN, ZTAS. ZTAN is stock item, ZTAS is back to back item where a PO will be created. Same material. There is a GR processing time of 10 days.
SO created on 12.05.2014.
Item 1: MatA     First Date: 15.05.2014     Item Cat: ZTAN Qty: 500     Confirmed Date = 15.05.2014 (Stock Available)
Item 2: MatA     First Date: 15.05.2014     Item Cat: ZTAS Qty: 1000     Confirmed Date = 29.05.2014 (Today + 10 GR Process)
Then tick Complete Deliv. Indicator in SO overview screen.
Item 1: MatA     First Date: 15.05.2014     Item Cat: ZTAN Qty: 500     Confirmed Date = 29.05.2014
Item 2: MatA     First Date: 15.05.2014     Item Cat: ZTAS Qty: 1000     Confirmed Date = 29.05.2014
Save SO.

You see the problem is after 2nd AB, confirmed date in SO does not change to earlier confirmed date. And even if we run the standard back order processing V_RA or V_V2, system still does not schedule earlier.

Can STOs be setup to create delivery if 'complete' i.e. all items in stock?

we use Stock transport orders to ship product cross company codes. Issue we have is that system created musltiple deliveries based on inventory availability. We would rather have the STO delivery created when all the items in the STO have stock. is thee a means to set that up either via config, user exit etc?
We would like to only trigger the delivery if the order is complete.
We are on SAP 47 extension set 1

You can try setting this up in the customer master created for the other company code in shipping tab input "c"-"Only complete delivery allowed" in the field "Partial delivery per item"

What is Completion Rule Setting for Item Category KBN?

In the standard SAP configuration, what is the setting of Completion Rule for
Item Category KBN? In our system, currently it's set to "B".

In Standard, item category KBN will have "A" as billing relevance.
"A" Indicates what the basis for billing should be.
Billing is based on the outbound delivery. Billing status is only updated in the outbound delivery.
For information, in standard, both KBN and KEN item categories will have "A" as Billing Relevance and in KEN, "W" will be maintained in the field "Special Stock".
