hitting completed will bring up a list of all completed fax jobs. since recently this list has gone corrupt. it would not let me scroll down further then the first ten or twenty jobs.

How To Get Internal Modem Set Up in the Fax List - G4 AGP
Recently installed OS 10.4.8 on my friend's upgraded G4 AGP (Sawtooth). Tried to set up his Mac's internal modem for faxing (no internet connection, he has cable modem for that). Got the fax set up to receive without problem. Tested it and it acknowledges incoming calls and will pick up and log the fax.
The problem is in setting up to send a fax. Although the internal modem shows up in the Apple Profiler and works to receive faxes, it just won't show up in the Fax List under the Printer Setup Utility and therefore isn't selectable under PDF on the Print window to allow sending a fax.
I've searched Mac Help in vain. The set up of modems isn't really addressed. What am I missing? On my MDD G4, once I had the modem installed and set up to receive, it just showed up in the Fax List. I didn't have to do anything else.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hide link to SAPguiDetails from completed task list in UWL

This works fine however when user selects drodrown in UWL to show completed tasks and open the completed taks, they can still see links to SAPGUIDETAILS. Appreciate if I can get any help how I can hide the link to SAPguidetails from completed tasks list.

BobbyThe simplest way to hide it from all the views in UWL is to put launchSAPDetails in the "List of UWL Actions to exclude" property of the UWL iview.
If you want item specific or view specific customization, you will need to identify which item and view configuration is used and include the above XML in each of those.

The little box, next to the reminder on the reminder page. Touch it, and it puts a check mark there, i suppose to mean completed. Leave the app. When you go back, the items are gone. ( at least on mine...)

Recovering "Internal Modem" on Fax List.
I accidentally deleted the "Internal Modem" from my Fax List in Printer Setup Utility (see "View" menu), and I can't get it back! Does anyone know how to do the equivalent of "Add Printer" for the internal modem in an iMac for faxing?

Network Port configs are OK. IN the Print window, there is still no "Fax" button. If I click on the PDF button, I have the option to "Fax PDF." (If I convert a word .doc to PDF, will it be received at other end as a black/white text doc? If so, this partially solves the problem.) I also see the option to 'fax with Efax MEssenger.' I used to use this while I was traveling a lot, and no longer use it. I guess it's possible it could be interfering with the Print/Fax option, but I'm really not sure how.

Fax list empty (internal modem gone)
The fax list on my imac is empty. I can still receive faxes manually but it won't automatically answer them.
The main problem about the fax list being empty though is that i need to share the fax modem to my pc but of course it no longer appears when i login to the imac from windows (\\imac).
Does anyone know how to put the modem back on the fax list???

AndyDoublecheck your settings in Sys Prefs | Sharing | Services and be sure your printer sharing is still enabled. Also check Sys Prefs | Print & Fax | Sharing, and be sure the "Let others FAX thru this computer" checkbox is still checked. And of course, make sure the Sys Prefs | Print & Fax | Faxing's "receive faxes on this computer" checkbox is still checked.
If still no joy, no guarantees that this will work, but I would try reapplying the 10.4.10 or 10.4.11 (wherever you were) COMBO update (not the incremental update) if I were you. Run Disk Utility's verify disk before you start and repair Permissions before and after. Then, reconfigure your fax stuff in Sys Prefs and recheck all the stuff in the previous paragraph. And lastly, launch a program like Print Preview and try sending a fax somewhere.
I haven't browsed through this web site recently, but know they have some stuff about sharing printers between Macs and Wintels in both directions, so might want to browse around there. -

I have an iMac g5 with OSX 10.4.9. I can send and receive faxes just fine using the built-in modem and my acrobat software BUT i cannot check to make sure my sent faxes were successfully sent. When I open my printer/fax preferences, and choose the "faxing" ,"setup fax modem" and then double-clik on "internal modem", I get the Internal Modem screen for my "active" jobs. However, when I click on "completed" the application just kind of freezes. I have to exit the screen, and then click on it again in the dock. Then I get a list of completed jobs, but none of my recent faxes are showing up! I can't tell if my jobs are faxing or not. What do you suppose the problem is??? THANKS!

Appropriate component with auto complete and list of values

I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6.0 with ADF BC and ADF Faces as technology stack.
I have a use-case and right now struggling to find the appropriate component/implementation for same. The requirement is:
1. User should be able to type and tab out to auto complete with perfect match.
2. Not all users are expert so they should be able search and select the items from list
3. Minimum key press should be there. E.g. auto complete should require only one tab press to complete and go to next field
inputComboboxListOfValues fits most of above except #3. One tab simply selects the item from list and second tab is needed to move out to next attribute. Is there a way to force one tab to auto-complete and move out to next attribute?
Tried simple inputBox with autoSuggest behavior but it lacks in opening of search and select feature that LOV component provides. Another drawback is that you need to wait for auto suggest list to appear and select before moving out to next attribute.
This is needed on a very highly frequent used screen, so no speed and key press compromise is expected. Most users are expert and they know the code, so just type and tab out is expected but at the same time if typo happens and code does not exist in valid list then pop-up should appear to search and select.
Is there a way to achieve this in ADF application (this is very well implemented in Oracle Forms application)?

I understand the single matching value and expecting move out in single tab for perfect match only. inputComboboxListOfValues selects the entry in one tab [even for single matching value] and user has to press another tab to go to next attribute.

The support site is missing many relevant keyboard shortcuts such as move to the address bar = C^l, move to the search bar = C^k and formerly C^e (the lack of this one is what set me on the search for shortcuts). Is there a way to expose the hotkeys in the application?

How to generate complete file list of hard drive and output to text file
I need to start backing things up to drives, which over time will be put in storage.
I would like to be able to create a complete file index and folder tree of every drive and have it output to a text file so that in the event I ever need to go back to a drive, I can search the text file to know what drive to pull from storage (rather than using spotlight to search through 25 drives).
Is there any way to do this with either OS X or with a third party software? Ideally, text file and not PDF.

Simply copy and and paste output text in terminal to a text file.
What I actually did there was use the "dry run option" (-n) - no files were actually transferred.
For more info on the rsync command type and run "man rsync" at the terminal command line.

How to retrieve complete Document list using RESTful webservice

I want to retrieve the complete list of documents from the CMS. When made the below call, I am getting only 10 documents(which is default). If included the parameter 'limit' I am getting a max of 50. How can I get the complete list if my CMS contains huge list (may be some thousands)?? Plz help.

As per my understanding, 'offset' is something which filters the first xx(offset value) documents in the result value. The result list starts from the (offset +1) th element.
'Offset' is helpful if I know the position of the desired document
Plz correct me.
My requirement is - to fetch a single docId based on the name of the document from the ENTIRE list.
I am not aware of the position of my document in the result list. In this scenario , how will the 'offset' help me?

Complete product list in ICSS catalog for Reference Objects:Products
In my current scenario, I have products that belong to different sales areas and while I create a catalog, I have created different variants for different sales area and assigned the products accordingly.
The problem is, in the catalog usage (SPRO->CRM->Web Channel->e-service->catalog usage), I can create 1 catalog indicator corresponding to only 1 catalog variant and the same indicator I am giving in the XCM for ICSS catalogs. The problem is, as different variants have different products, the user would never be able to see the complete list of products but can only see the products belonging to 1 variant (whose indicator I have given in the XCM). The expectation is that the user should be able to see all the products (irrespective of the sales area ) in the Reference Object field (ICSS catalog).
I tried different combinations like-
1.Creating catalog views and assigning BPs. There is no option though of assigning a view in ICSS catalog
2.Giving all the indicators in XCM separated by u2018,u2019. I was hoping that the string would be read with a delimiter in the code.
3.Only giving the catalog name while creating the indicator in SPRO (Variant is not a mandatory option there). This resulted in runtime errors on the UI when I tried to access the catalog

Checked the values in the Visual Admin -> Trex Service--> nameserver.address value is filled with the host name and port number
But no nameserver.backupserverlist is maintained . If it required should i give the same server details of the above property ei "namserver.add*"
And also i found that in the Tcode SES_ADMIN , everything is blank and also in the ICSS/B2C/ADMIN portal . the Catalog Cache Statistics is blank, there is no Key or Catalogue Guid is present
Please suggest me where to check now again .

Hp Laserjet P1102w Doesn't show up in Print and Fax list OS 10.5.8
Got an HP Laserjet 1102w and tried to install under Mac OS 10.5.8. I downloaded and sucessfully ran the HP drivers but when I go to add the printer under system preferences/printers and fax the list of available printers is blank. I've tried several routines suggested by a web search of the problem to no effect.
Anybody out there solved this?

The printer was connected by USB and I was also trying to get the wireless connection set. I had intermittent progress on both fronts but could not get a successful installation either as a USB connection or wireless connection. The printer would "disappear" off the list of available printers (using the "+" to add printer, OS 10.6.8) or not respond to setup commands. And I could not get the printer's wireless connection to my network to "take".
Printing the configuration page was of no use. If the printer is unable to connect to the wireless network it reports the printer IP address as 0.0.0.0.
TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM
(clicking + under "Print & Fax" the printer does not appear or the printer name disappears)
1) replace the USB cable - the original was susceptible to cutting out;
2) give up on wireless - to - wireless set up methods - no amount of factory resetting would clear the mystery connection block;
3) set up the wireless connection by way of a (good) USB cable;
3) switch the browser used to view the printer's setup page from Firefox (34.0.5 for Mac OS 10.6.8) to Safari
4) use WPA security mode (not WEP as suggested by HP's help files).
The primary troublemaker was the bad USB cable. Going thru a wireless set up presumes that the printer can connect to the network. As already noted, the wireless connection was not working. The blue network light would not come up steady. Some transmission option was blocking sucessfull handshaking between the printer and my wireless router. I tried the recommended factory reset methods without success.
I needed a good USB connection to get to the printer's setup options.
Don't know what was up with Firefox - a bad plugin or something? It just would not connect to the printer via IP addressing. Safari worked fine. (Now the printer is successfully setup Firefox has decided to work too.)
SO THE SOLUTION IS:
1) connect the printer and Mac via a (good) USB cable;
1) use Safari to get in to the printer's setup functions (via system preferences/print & fax/options & supplies/show printer web page);
2) follow the recommended setup options (HP support for Laserjet P1102w, OS 10.6, using a USB cable to set up a wireless connection);
3) select the proper wireless network from the list;
4) reset the security mode to WPA; and
5) give the printer the correct wireless network password.
