Completed sales order continues to appear on Backlog reports

Hi All,
We are having one issue in BI production.
We have a sales order showing in backlog report but the status of the order is completed in R3.
We donu2019t know how this is possible? Because the ODS is getting loaded in delta method.
Can anyone help me on this?
Thanks
Shanba

Hi Shanba
Please discuss with your GL team, what are all conditions for backlog, generally SO documents gets processed lots of scenerios
Please pick SO documents that were showing in backlog status and check all of below
1) Check whether these SO docs were delivered or not for all SO items
2) Check whether SO Doc were billed or not for all SO items
3) Check with FI team whether invoices of these SO docs were process or do they have any credit terms
4) Check whether invoice amt is received from customer completely
If your SO doc were pending with any of the above, then this may be reason for SO doc showing in your backlog details
Please let me know if you need more clarifications

  • Sales order does not appear in MD04

    Hello,
One of my sales order is not appearing in MD04. I found out that in the sales order, the requirment type is missing. Is this could be te resaon for sales order not to appear in MD04.
2nd question) why requiremment type is not there in sales order. In my case, there is no entry in the item cat and mrp type table but in the strategy group in material master, the requirment type exists. so why the system is not showing requirment type in sales order by picking it up from the strategy group. in the item cat +mrp type table, the source is kept as "0", which means the system should pick the requirment type from strategy group . so why it is not picking if it is defined in straetegy group ?/
Question 3) or is it that the sales orders appear in MD04 only after MRP run but then why other sales orders are apearing before MRP run.
    regards
    sachin

    Hi sachin,
what planning strategy group is your are using.
I assume plan stg grop is 20.
Normal settings for 20 Paln stg grop in material master.
1.Item category group (such as NORM) on the Sales Organization screen
    2. Set Plan stg = 20 at Mrp View.
Requierment type fo customer requirement  = KE  assigned  for planning strategy 20 at customizing.
For 20 plg stg  requiremnt type is   customer requirement type only.
with above settingsif create sale order it will appear at Md04 before MRP run.
u can see the customer requ type at "procurement tab "of sale order.
For planning of material u have to maintain valid MRP type at Mrop view.
i am not clear about ur second question.
    please comeback

Anybody Please help me out on generating a Complete Sales Order Cycle using Business One GUI or theory by using Business One
Please help me out in this regard
      with regards
    Somaraju

    Somaraju,
You may want to look at the Sample Code example that is part of the 2005A Business One SDK that shows and external Business One interface written in VB.Net that shows how to create a Sales Order/Invoice in SAP Business One.  This example can be found at: Start > Programs > SAP Business One > SDK > Samples > COM DI > 05. OrderAndInvoice.  For complete training on the processes you are asking about from within the SAP Business One product, you can reveiw the SAP Business One eLearning product training if you are and SAP Business One partner in the areas that you have outlined at service.sap.com/smb.
    Hope that helps,

  • Completed sales order changed with the updated ship-to address

    Hi,
My client did the following test and found that:
    - Change the ship-to address of a customer
    - new sales order of this customer defauted to the update ship-to address (good!)
    - old/completed sales orders of this customer show the new ship-to address (bad!)
Data used in occurred transactions should not be affected by data maintenances that made after the transactions. So, is the finding a design flaw in OM or there is parameter that can be tuned?
Thanks in advance for any input!

    Hi,
Oracle will not store the entire Address in Sales Order tables. It will only store the internal id.
Now there could be two possible scenarios for which your client tried to chance the ship to address:
    1) There is a correction required in the address(e.g. change in street name). If this is the case then changing the address would be correct approach, and I think all the sales orders(old or new) should reflect correct address.
    2) If there is a relocation, then the correct approach would be to make the current customer site inactive and create a new site for the new address instead of changing the existing site. Changing the address of existing site for such a business scenario may not be a correct approach.
So based on what was the reason for changing the ship to address, I would say the system is functioning as expected.
    Hope this helps.

  • Restricting new line item of completed sales order in VA02

    Hi,
My requirement is to restrict the user to add new line items for Sales Order if the <b>Header status</b> is completed in VA02 transaction.

Popup message contains 2 buttons 'Continue' & ‘Exit’.
If user clicks ‘<b>Continue</b>’ it should be stay in same transaction (Va02) and if user clicks '<b>Exit</b>' it should exit the VA02 transaction.
But when I click the '<b>Continue</b>' button it is staying in the same transaction and newly entered line item values are not clearing. But these values should not appear after clicking '<b>Continue</b>' button.

  • Sales order Number not appearing in CO-PA report painter

    Hi
I have prepared profitability report through report painter through t-codes KE34 and KE31-
Characteristics I have chosen is Sales order No/Plant/sales organization/product and customer-
In the report Sales order Number is not appearing?
We are able to see plant number/sales organization no/product no and customer no-
    Where I have committed mistake
    Thanks in advance
    joseph david

    HI,
In order for you to see Characteristics in KE34 form definition, they have to be defined as 'Segment level' in KEQ3, as also metioned by Christian. However, it is not advisable to define 'Sales order #' as a Segment level, considering that 'Sales order #', changes frequently and also owing to performance issues with huge number of Segment level records which gets created in the course of time.
If you want to report based on Sales order, then please consider using line item form/report KE94/KE91 or check if KE24 is sufficient.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Lucky,

Thanks for your inputs on this issue.

  • Adding an extra line item in completed sales order

    Dear Friends
We have a requirement that a sales order say order no 1000 with material A qty 5 units
    This order is Delivered---Billed
The requirement 1 is no one should change the qty to more than 5 units
This i can control through OVAH message settings from warning to error
The requirement 2 is no one should add material B or material C in that order 1000
No other material should be added
This i think has to be done through some userexit
Expecting your valuable inputs on this issue mainly the requirement 2 the suitable exit
    Regards
    Raja

    HI,
Perhaps you can try with USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP in report MV45AFZB.
Other possibilty is the BADI BADI_SD_SALES_ITEM, where the method ITEM_CHECK.
Perhaps the most powerful is userexit_save_document in report MV45AFZZ, but it works when you save the document. Here you can compare XVBAP (with the new item will have the field UPDKZ = 'I') with YVBAP (you can compare the line items of both internal tables). Finally, you can use the status of deliveried and billed of XVBUP, YVBUP, XVBUK, YVBUK to do the final checks.
Perhaps you can fix warning messages in the first exits (in dialog) and in the saving event set the error message.
Set the break point and check the data in these structures, and think in the right algorithm.
    I hope this helps you

  • Complete sales order after creating proforma invoice

    Hi gurus,
I am having the following issue:
I need to generate a proforma invoice. So, I create a new sales order, and then create the invoice based on that same order. The problem is that this sales order keeps its status open, as I understand, because it is pending a delivery. However, I do not wish to create any delivery, only the proforma invoice.
I have created a new billing document type (based on standard F5), as well as a new sales order type and item category.
Can anyone give some pointers on what i need to configure in order to not need to create a delivery?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Joã

Your doc config seems to be okay for pro forma invoice..
Kindly check ur header copying control for Sales Doc to Billing Doc (proforma Invoice).
In general for this senario it is
0007-Header/ord.pro forma (E.g. Order related pro-forma invoices can be created to supply customs declarations for non-deliverable items such as services. If a customer has ordered a service, this requirement can be assigned to the header to permit the creation of the proforma invoice.)
And have look on Billing quantity indicator for copy control item. This specifies which quantity the system copies from the source document (a sales order, for example) into the target billing document (an invoice, for example). When you create an invoice for a standard sales order item, for example, the quantity that the system copies into the invoice is the delivery quantity less the quantity already invoiced. If you create a pro forma invoice, the system copies in the order quantity.
C and D for pro forma invoices
Make sure that control of the amount to be billed is directly related to the item category billing relevance.
As we know,  "relevant for Billing", indicates what the basis for billing should be.
"D:" Relevant for proforma - The billing relevance indicator must contain a value (not be blank) in order to be able to create pro forma invoices. Indicator "D" can also be used as follows for cross-company-code business processing. In the case of a free-of-charge outbound delivery, the company code that is responsible for the delivery should be granted an internal settlement. You can use indicator "D" to record free-of-charge outbound deliveries and grant internal settlements to the relevant company code.
One thing I like to point out, the sales order will be in open status, even though it has a pro forma invoice.
Till you have not create a confirmed invoice (in case of non deliverable item) or delivery for that sales order.
As you might be aware of, proforma invoice is abridged or estimated invoice sent by a seller to a buyer in advance of a shipment or delivery of goods. It notes the kind and quantity of goods, their value, and other important information such as weight and transportation charges.
Still, I have one doubt, is your sales order an indicative doc and is not going to have any relevant accounting entry?
If No, then just give a rethought on your business process & confirm with user?
    Thanks & Regards

  • Sale order before the regeneration of ABAP report: RSM13000

    Hi there,
I am just wondering about something.
After we installed support packages, users could not get any sales order without to get any error message and I we could only see  an error message via SM21 which says:
    Run-time error "LOAD_TYPEPOOL_VERSION_MISMATCH" occurred.
So after we regenerated the ABAP report: RSM13000 after that everythings seems to be ok.
Now the question is: When we try to find the order numbers which the users created  before the regeneration we find nothing.
What about this numbers? Did they have not been created at all or what hapened? They customer is asking now.
    Thanks in advance
    Hanseatik

I still do not know. We created them again

    Hi Sachin,
MD04 is the stock requirement listing.
Normally it would not list general sales order that is Make to STOCK scenarion. It would not list those sales order as that requirment is taken care by PIR (planned independant Requirment).
However in scenarios like MTO (Make to Order) or Plan to assemble to name a few. MD04 will list the sales order.
For that you need to change the STRATEGY GROUP in Material Master to Planning with Asembly or Make to Order in MRP3 Tab.
Once you save the sales order for such a material it will get listed in MD04.
    Hope it helps.

  • Transaction type of sales order under Account overview doesnt appear

    Hi Experts,
Need help, We are implementing the replciation of sales order from CRM 7 to ECC. Now i already manage to maintain the transaction types and created a link in navigation tool bar.
Now the problem is the assignment block of sales order and quotation under account information create new button doesnt appear the transaction types i maintained under CRM->transactions->settings for sales transactions->define profiles for ERP transactions. and the sales order created doesnt appear on that assignment block as well..
Any suggestion or ideas is welcome.. thanks in advance
    best regards,
    etrafanob

    Hi Etrafanob,
New button on sales order assignement block in account overview page shows the list of transaction types which are maintained via below customizing.
    Spro->Customer Relationship Management->Define Transaction Types..
All the transaction types which are active and defined in leading transaction category "BUS2000115 Sales" for the same Channel will be displayed.
Not sure if defining those transaction types under erp sales order will help in this scenario..
    Hope this helps..
