Completed Warning in XML Report

Hi All,
I am doing XML Report.
I put page break in the Report.
I able to see the output in priew in template builder
when i register the report to oracle applications its giving warning unable to see the output.
If i remove the page break i am able to see the output in oracle applications also.
please help to solve the issue

Hi gurus,
I am having trouble our developer have made XML report and registered it when he is running the concurrent request is completing in warning (yellow color) and no output is generate and below is the log file for the concurrent request.
we never had any XML report in our environment this is the first time so do we need to do any setup for XML reports to generate fine ?
also where is OPP service log files location ?

Xml report completing in warning...

Hello
I am developing a new xml report with out using report builder and when i run the report it is completing in warning and log file of the reprot is as below. I observed that report is fetching the data becuase I am seeing the data/xml tags in "Diagnostics--->View XML" . Anybody faced these type of issues before?

Creating Pivot Table in XML Publisher having Completed Warning Status

Hi guys,
I really need you expertise on this. please help :(
- I created a Conc. Program that has XML ouput Named Sales Report.
- Then I connect that to my sales.RTF template.
this is always been what i'm doing and its fine but my case now is that.
- Creating my .RTF template in ms word, I used PIVOT table. It is okay when I loaded the xml there then view ouput.
but when I upload it in oracle and connect to my concurrent Program there report is 'Completed Warning Status'
Does anyone have any idea why? or is there anyway I can produce Pivot report with xls output?

XML Reports end with WARNING Status, Using Virtual Hostname by Veritas HA

Dear Experts,
We have upgraded our Application from 11.5.10.2 to R12, 12.1.3. Now in the Upgraded Application we are unable to open/view any of the XML based Concurrent Reports. All the XML Concurrent Reports are ending in Status WARNING.
When we click on the View Out put, we are just getting the XML code and not the XML based reports.
The log file of Out Put Postprocessor shows the following errors:

Hi,
The metalink note Output Post Processor Fails Due to java.sql.SQLException: Exhausted Resultset [ID 740529.1], is not related to us, we have already verified that. In our case the Application is running on Virtual Hostname and this virtual hostname is taken care by Veritas Library, ACC.
Secondly the FND_NODES also shows the Virtual hostname as the application is configured on Virtual Hostname. So in our case its not seems to be comming from the FND_NODES tables, rather it seems that some of the Java files/class is picking it by the OS command uname -a.
So if we can find that class or environment file of java, we can export the Virtual Hostname as we used it in configuration. Please note that the Concurrent Manager and Application listener are also working fine on the Virtual Hostname, by using the Veritas library.
Solaris:
LD_PRELOAD_32=/usr/lib/secure/libvuname.so
VHOSTNAME=<virtual hostname>

Oracle Apps.XML reports ending with warning when the report output contains

Hi I have XML reports. When we run these reports as concurrent program through Oracle Apps. window and if the report output contains special characters(like Chineese data) in between of English, then the concurrent program is ending with warning. If we remove special characters then it is working fine or when we run the report query directly from backend it is working fine.
We are importing this data from legacy system into oracle apps. and we can't control these characters or decode them with some other charactes.
Can any one guide me how to get the XML report output with special characters.

I ran the concurrent program and it ends in Completed - Warning.
I checked the Log File and it shows the following message:

This is not a valid XML.
When merging, the XML generated , and the RTF template the process causes failure due to that.
can you merge the xml from this request and template you have and see, if its fine or not. it will fail.
Solution could be :
if you'r using the RDF , then for each filed you have to setup the XML element name without spaces.
It should look like <APPLICATIONS_TEMPLATE_REPORT></APPLICATIONS_TEMPLATE_REPORT>
What is the concurrent program doing ? RDF based, pl-sql based ? sql based ?

Oracle XML report getting into warning

Hi,
I have an amazing error in my XML report its an Advice Print Report, when the inner group retrives 10 record it goes into warning. For any value it works fine other than 10
The problem is only for the 10 Records only.

Sometime Report show completed / Warning

Total projects to print in this report are 20. There are 2 criteria to print this report, which are Project Number and Output Format. As follow;
Project number from *1 to 20* and output in PDF format --- > Complete/Normal
Project number from *1 to 2*0 and output in EXCEL format --- > Complete/Warning
Project number from *1 to 18* and output in PDF format --- > Complete/Normal
Project number from *1 to 18* and output in EXCEL format --- > Complete/Normal
Project number from *18 to 20* and output in PDF format --- > Complete/Normal
Project number from *18 to 20* and output in EXCEL format --- > Complete/Normal

Overide XML Report Publisher renaming?

Anyone know if it is possible to prevent the XML Report Publisher report from renaming the concurrent request on completion. This makes it very difficult for users to understand what requests are, especially when they are automatically submitted from other concurrent programs.
For example in EBS 11.5.10+ I have a dunning letter custom where the standard "Dunning Letter Print from Dunning Letter Generate" process submits the bursting program and 2 instances of XML Report Publisher, one for the printed dunning letters and one for the summary report. We could live with the bursting report name but both the XML Report Publisher instances complete with the same name! How is the user supposed to know what is what?

I can see the reason behind what it does and it's fine for manually submitted "XML Report Publisher" requests but when you get to submitting it from another concurrent program the renaming is a pain, especially if you are submitting multiple reports from the same request (e.g. detail and summary reports). Users just don't know what they are supposed to be looking at!
Hopefully Tim will pick it up but I suspect it will have to be a future fix rather than something we can change right now. Roll on a new release for EBS!

XML Report Publisher program is erroring out

I've customized the AR Customer Statements.
I've created a data definition as "ARXSGP" and uploded the sample_output.xml of Statement Generation Program to it. Also I've created a Data template as "ARXSGPO" and attached the data definition "ARXSGP" to it and uploaded the customized rtf file "XXHCC_CLE_F_ARCUSBALSL.rtf" and set the default output type to PDF.
As I donot wish to call the XML Report Publisher program manually every time when I Print the Statements through Print Documents-->Statements.
So I've done the below customization in ARXSGP.rdf file ie; Print Statements Report which is an Oracle Report.
I've added the below code in After Report trigger.

After Printing the Statements through Print Documents-->Statements
Statement Generation Program is being called and later XML Report Publisher program is also being invoked.

Error In XML Report

Hi all,
We are getting this error while running the an XML Report.
the concurrent program is ending with compilation with WARNING and
the DIGNOSTICS of the concurrent program is not showing any XML data with the ERROR "A name was started with an invalid character. Error processing resource " .
When the log file is checked, it says that 'ONE OR MORE POST PROCESSING FAILED".
Can any one help us ?

Actually we are using a .rdf file but not the data template...
And we have changed the .rdf file....
does it affect the XML output?
and if it does then what is the solution to this problem?

Modify Header in XML report

There is an example in the users manual to modify the report header by using a callback, Chapter 10-12 Adding to a Report Using Callbacks. Will this work for xml reports in TS 3.1? I don't have any experience with xml, but need to add text and possibly an image to the header of a report. My attempts so far do not generate any errors, but do not output anything to the report. I can break on the statement in the callback so I know it is called as the report is generated.

XML is a language designed to contain data with no information on how to present it. You can open the XML report in notepad to see what the raw XML data looks like. You'll notice it is far different than how you view the report. To make the data more presentable, a style sheet (XSL) is used to translate the data. This converts XML data into a HTML document to present the data in a more user-friendly way. The style sheets are completely customizable. If you wish to display a picture, you would need to modify the style sheet. You also may need to modify the header of the XML document to describe what picture should be displayed. These tasks are not trivial for beginners in XML.
