Completely stuck

Hey everyone, so I can't find any help elsewhere on the internet so I am coming here. I bought lbp 1, 2, and racing and absolutely loved them all. So lbp 3 came and and it was a no brainer, right?  I bought this game, played it for 30 minutes or so and was loving all the cool new stuff, thinking it'd be another fantastic game, and them came the glitches.
I literally have so many glitches I can't play this game. My girlfriend and I were played past the prologe and onto the first world. We beat 2/3 on that one and it let us go ahead, i was a little out of it at the time and didn't even thin we haden't finished. We moved on to the second world, beat all of the levels and it wasn't showing any marbles at all. At this point we realised the glitch. We went back to level one to see 2/3 marbles and went to go searching for the 3rd. Unfortunately, the floor no longer worked when traveling right. Yes, the floor is not working. It shows up but if you try to step onto it, or jump past it you fall strait through as if there were nothing. I was actually able to get around this by using a bounce pad to get to a climbing surface and climb to the 3rd world. We did this, beat it, and it told us we won our marble. We went back out to see only 2/3 marbles.
I spent quite a bit of time looking it up online, and eventually found something very slightly similar and ended up wiping all lbp3 data from my system to try and help. After doing that re-installing everything, going through the prologe, and ending up at the first world again. The floor is still not walkable. We played through regardless, gathering all 3 marbles before continuing, and the same on world 2 again. Still no marbles show up on world 2, 2/3 show up on world 1.
As it sites right now and for the past few weeks,
world 1 - 2/3 marbles can't get third no matter what, can't walk right without dying.
world 2 - 0/3 marbles showing, can't get any.  Any help would be appricated, this is quite ridiculous. I would have taken it back the next day had i not bought it new...

AEpress Completely Stuck Due to Firmware Rollback

Right off the bat, the symptoms I am having is an Airport Express (wireless-N) that is completely stuck in one state. I can't change any settings on it. When I try to access the Airport Express from the Airport Utility, I get error -6722 ("An error occurred while trying to access the apple wireless device"). It happens on wireless, and directly connected with Ethernet. It happens on windows, and on macs, and across all Airport utilities staring with 5.3.1. When I try to perform a hard reset (Hold down reset button while plugging in, leaving it plugged in, waiting for the rapid amber light and then letting go), the Airport Express restarts, but then comes back to its previously configured state.
In brief:
I can't log in to the manual setup to change any settings
Hard resetting appears to work, but then on restart all settings are retained.
The airport works as configured before it was put in this state.
I was troubleshooting some network issues (which turned out to be completely unrelated) when I tried reverting the APExpress back to firmware 7.3 from 7.5.2. After this completed, I lost my ability to configure the device, hard reset it, or re-update the firmware.
So as a warning to you all, do not revert back to 7.3 from 7.5.2 or else you may find your self in the situation I am in. It still works as I had it configured before the revert, but I cant update it in any way. Totally frustrating!

Aaaaaaand as I was writing that, I managed to fix it. Not sure how exactly. The variables that were used that worked:
On windows, running AU 5.5.2, right clicking upload firmware in the device list, choosing other, selecting a random firmware other than 7.3 (I think i ended up using 7.4.2) and clicking upload. Instead of trying to communicate with the APExpress, it directly uploaded the firmware and then it restarted, I got a crazy amber blink cycle I have never seen before (Three fast long blinks, and the three short fast blinks, repeat). Then it restarted and it was back to normal. Woohoo! There goes 5 hours of my life.

Setting jdbc classpath in xp, completely stuck

I must be going crazy cause i could swear i posted my msg but it never showed up later on, on the forum so here i go again

I am trying to add a classpath to a jdbc drvier (lets calls it jdbcdriver.jar in d:\temp). I set it in environment variable. I create a classpath variable and set the value to d:\temp\jdbcdriver.jar
java is already set in Path, so that part work. Now when i go to run my code, i get an error Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: ConTest
now if i remove the classpath, i offcourse get "no suitable driver found" exception
I've tested and made sure that my code works. It works fine and gets a db connection when i run in eclipse, since you can tell eclipse where the jdbc driver and eclipse creates its own classpath and stuff. so the code is fine, just a problem with setting the path
I am completely stuck on this and i've spent past 3-4 hours on just trying to fix this stupid problem rather then working on my project.
I'll really really appreciate if any of you kind :) people can help me on this. I am totally stuck on this and can't move on until i get this working

When you set your classpath you need to set ALL the classpath including in your case your working directory where your program is. You include the directory you launch your progam from with a .
so something like...
java -cp .;d:\temp\jdbcdriver ConTestshould work for you...

It would not turn on seeing as how I could not push the top button to reset it to turn back on and then also it would not respond to a charge. 100% complete, stuck @ Processing:merging distributed MPEG segments

I have a 3 machine (proper) cluster and have a 14 hr job stuck in this "100% completer' condition. It's been like that for over 8 hours now.
All machines are up and running and connected to the network. One machine showing a green blob in QCluster icon and QAdministrator shows it's cpatured and processing - I assume it's the one merging segments.
Is there any way to diagnose or recover my job?
I'd hate to have to re-submit a 14hr compressor render :-/

Going to reply to myself and mark this is answered in case anyone else has similar problem.
For whatever reason, QMaster decided not to merge my 4 video segments back together - it was working on it then suddenly stopped for no reason I could find.
I found the job (by date) in /private/var/spool/qmaster/string of digits/shared/ had all of the four complete video segments marked m2v-1 , m2v-2 etc. so I used ffmpegX Tools to Join them together and seems like I have a complete MPEG2 file.

IBook pdf preview unable to complete, stuck, beachball

I've successfully done 3 prior iBooks. I always preview in PDF to check for typos, errors. This current project doesn't complete the pdf process, gets stuck on page 24 or 25 with spinning beach ball. I reviewed the http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040. Have changed the offending pages to try different photo, text or no text, blank, still gets stuck, same 2 pages, ie. one or the other. I need to hold down the power button to quit, no other quit works. Same problem on start up again. Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks for your help! I learned something new, which is always a good thing, how to duplicate a book. I had already tried removing the offending pages, and/or leaving them blank, didn’t help. The broken pages seemed to be the back inside flap and back cover. Your suggestions reminded me, though, that the numbering of the pages is different on the “creating” side, than the pdf side. The pdf has 2 extra pages which might be the paper cover and the hard cover? Anyway, the problem stuck pages were not 24 and/or 25, but only 23. I had made this page a map page. When I deleted the map page, the pdf worked fine. Soooo, I can now proof the book in pdf format. May try adding the map page in a different location. Anything special about map pages that might have caused it not to load properly as pdf?

HT201210 I have loaded IOS 6 but when it says I have just a few more steps to complete and asks me to sign in with my apple id, it says it cannot connect to server.   Now my ipad won't function at all and it is completely stuck even after turning it off a

I was having trouble purchasing candy crush updates (for no apparent reason, as it has been fine previously).   I thought perhpas I needed to download some new software and promptly started the IOS 6 update.   It installed and then asked me to complete the final few steps by signing in with my apple id.   When I try to do that it says "it cannot connect to the server".   I have tried turing it off and on and over riding it, but it won't let me do anything at all now on my ipad mini.
Can anyone help?   I literally can't function!!!!

You can't override it no matter what you do. The device has to connect to the server to complete the iOS update. You could try rebooting the iPad and see if that lets you connect to the server after it starts up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that will not work, you can try connecting to iTunes on your computer and see if the activation will complete. Sometimes when thes activation issues arise, you end up having to restore the device again, but first things first. Reboot and see what happens.

V570 Won't Start. Completely Stuck. Please help!

This is my first post so please forgive my ignorance. I hope I am in the right place. Let me first say I'm not great with computers, so if anyone can help, please try to speak in layman's terms as much as possible. Thank you.
When I press the start button on my one week old Lenovo V570 it gets hung up on the initial page that says Lenovo in large white letters in the middle of the screen. In the lower left corner it says "Press F2 for enter setup, F12 for enter MultiBoot Menu". In the lower right corner there is a bar that gets hung up immediately at about the half way point.
This is different, I believe, than the posts describing the computer hanging up at the "please wait" point that I've read about on this forum. I can't start the computer in SAFE mode (which I read on the Microsoft website was to press the F8 key prior to the logo...I never get to that point). I can't enter set up by pressing F2 or F8 at any point. The suggestions in the other posts haven't worked (i.e. turn off, plug out, battery out, power button exercises, etc.) I've tried the one touch also.
I'll try the other suggetions if I could get past this screen. Suggestions?
One more thing: prior to this problem Windows said, "Windows has detected a problem and must shut down", or something to that effect. I can't remember if it shut down automatically or I clicked an "OK", but the result was the same. The system shut down and is stuck as previously described. Just in case that was important I thought I'd share.

No problem. Well on the phone the man said my OS was "slightly infected" and that reloading the OS and starting fresh was how they were going to fix it, for a price of $130. Which was insane because I am able to do that myself. When I went and picked it up he showed by the diagnostic, the hardware had no issues it passed all checks perfectly. The issue lies within the software. He showed my some malware that was of medium risk, but then showed me the real issues. The scans showed issues with the WLAN, DHCP-Client, and mainly an issues with Bonjour (which is related to iTunes). I removed Bonjour and have attempted to update the WLAN (however it would not install due to an error which I cannot figure out). And the computer still has had boot-up issues despite removing the Bonjour (which is only for sharing of iTunes media). So, my next step is to make sure my computer is entirely backed up and wipe the HDD and reload the OS (which for me will be Windows 7 Pro) and then watch what programs get installed and make sure all devices and drivers are up to date before I start putting any programs on it. Hopefully this will work.....

Outlook 2013 completely stuck!

I installed Outlook 2013 as part of Office 2013 Pro on 10 computers recently for a charity.
There was a powercut 2 days ago and since on one of them they can no longer get Outlook to work at all. Emails open but no new ones can come in or go out. Send and Recieve no longer works.
I cannot seem to post a screen dump on here but when you go into to the FILE option you get the following messages.
The first one is a "Metered Connection warning" stating that the that we are on a metered connection and there may be charges if Outlook has to go online. This is rubbish of course. Its on a LAN with ADSL broadband.
The second one in Red below that states UPGRADE IN PROGRESS. Your mailbox is currently being optimized as part of upgrading to Outlook 2013. This one time process may take more than 15 min.
If I try and go into Account settings it doesnt open anything.
I have tried the following
An office repair from control panel (no change)
Sytem restore (this failed as it always does in Windows 7)
Restore the outlook PST file from a backup prior to the crash. (just the same error)
I dont know what to try next apart from completely re-install everything. The computer is only a couple of month old running Windows 7 Pro and Office 2013 Pro. AV is MS Security Essentials.

Have you tried starting Outlook in safe mode to check if this problem persists? Press Windows key + R, type
outlook.exe /safe in the Run command and press Enter.
Did Outlook create a new mail profile after you perform a system restore? If not, please try to create a new mail profile to check the result:

Newbie Completely Stuck With The Connections. HE

I have received the USB SoundBlaster Li've! 24 bit equipment for my birthday with the sole aim of converting my vinyl to mp3. Already I am stuck with conecting my turntable to the box. From my turntable I have one cable which forks into two leads - one is white and the other is red. The only socket they will fit into is the SPDIF Out but of course I have one socket and 2 heads. I am not very technically minded and all I want to know is how to connect my turntable up so I can start sorting out my vinyl. Can anyone help? Normally my turntable is connected to my stereo system so can I conect via this and how?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need a stereo phono to mini-plug adapter which'll let you connect the input to the line-in on your soundcard. I'm not sure whether that will work though as normally a record player's output need to go to a pre-amplifier before the signals can be processed.

Completely stuck with provisioning profiles which have expired - any ideas?

My various certs and provisioning profiles seem to have expired, so I tried recreating them and so on, but I can't build anything now for the following error:
Checking Dependencies
CodeSign error: a valid provisioning profile is required for product type 'Application' in SDK 'Device - iPhone OS 2.0'
I cleaned out all the old provisioning profiles from the Xcode organizer.
In the dev portal, I created new certs for myself for distribution and for app store distribution and installed them in my keychain. And I made sure the provisioning profiles contained the app id. (So many terms I am getting mixed up, but trying to keep them all straight.)
In the Xcode organizer I installed the developers provisioning profile in my iPhone.
Also in the Xcode organizer I installed the developers provisioning profile and the app store distribution profile under "provisioning profiles". Neither show any warnings or errors. And I can select either one in the app target's "Code Signing Identity". Both show up in the popup menu and look fine there.
But when I try to build for app store distribution or for my device I get that error above.
I am stuck as to what I might check next. Any ideas?

I've spent all day on this and haven't progressed an iota. I am in provisioning profile h*ll.
It's not like I'm a rank beginner - my friend and I have 8 apps up at the app store already and have been doing this since September. But since these certs expired, I just haven't been able to get moving again.
Everything works just fine in the simulator, but I can't generate a build for the iPhone or the app store without the error mentioned in my first message occurring.
Nobody else is having problems after their certs or developer provisioning profiles expire when they try to generate and install new ones?
I downloaded the most recent iPhone Developer Program User Guide v2.4 and went page-by-page, step-by-step doing everything from scratch, but it just doesn't seem to work anymore.

Deleted Utilties and CD problems - Completly stuck

I writing this from my girlfriend who uses an Apple MacBook, OS X 10.4.11 Intel Core Duo.
She once deleted the the "Utilties" folder and seems also to have problems with her CD drive.
As I am "PC" I have no glue how to fix those kind of issues in the Apple world. I created a Linux (Knoppix) bootable CD which works perfect on my Windows machine. I tried to use the same CD to boot from it on the MacBook.
I read in several forums to boot from CD you need to press "C", when you hear the start up sound. I realize that the mac tries to read the cd, but drops out the CD after a while. As my girlfriend said, that CD is not working in general anylonger (she thinks it is realted with the deletion of the utilties folder), I thought I will install Linux (Knoppix 6.2) on a USB-stick and boot from USB (holding the ALT key, when starting up)
When booting up with alt key, it only shows the hard disc to boot from...
... so i googled for a solution for this, and I found in a mac forum people where talking about rEFIt (http://refit.sourceforge.net/). So we downloaded that.
There they say you need to run that "rEFIt.mpkg" file. But the Mac does not recognize mpkg files anylonger as it seams that Apple Installer is missing.
So I googled for that - I found a guy who said to install Apple Installer, you need to have Apple Installer?
It looks like that we are stuck now...
... any ideas what we could do now??

Do you have an External CD/DVD reader you could use on the Mac?
Without another Mac around, I think you could try these things...
MacDrive for your PCs... allows them to Read/Write & Format HFS+...

Copy/image the Install Disc to a USB drive or stick.
Get Pacifist, the ZIP version...

then extract/install what you need from her Install Disc/USB Pen copy.

HT1657 Rental downloads do not complete - stuck on 'Processing'

I've rented a movie, and the download of data finishes - but the down load will not finish. It just sais 'Processing'. It's been stuck on this step for 3 days.

Completely stuck on ArrayCollection

I am completely bogged down in getting anywhere with my script because I cant seem to get my information out of an ArrayCollection so I can perform my conditionals and matematics.
I used the built in php connector generator to access a mysql database. It generated the php and then with help from the lynda.com videos I created an HTTP service to read the xml and put the information into an ArrayCollection.
Now I want to get the information OUT of the collection in an item by item form so I can do conditional statements and matematics.
ie.
if (bills_01 > 2000) {
trace("alert")
or
currency05 = bills_05 * 5
etc etc. where bills_01 and bills_05 correspond to columns in the DB and individual data points in the arraycollection.
Any help is soo sooo appreciated.

Thanks for the great references everyone. I have read up on the ArrayCollection for a while now and am familiar with most of the concepts. The problem is when I try them I dont get the expected result.
for instance
trace(omArray);
displays: [object Object] [object Object][object Object][object Object][object Object][object Object] etc. for all items
and for example if I try
trace(omArray.getItemAt(4);
dispalys: [object Object]
So obviously it is not finding the items where it thinks they are, because giving an item location doest reveal an actual record.
