Completely unable to use iTunes in Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit

hello, i have a grave situation here:
i've installed iTunes on my laptop HP 6735b running under microsoft Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit
after trying to use program nothing happens in reliability monitor i get "program stopped" next to iTunes and quicktime i personally think the issue is strictly related to quicktime as the same issue appears to affect it as well clean re-install does no good, compatibility mode also does not solves the issue
i've followed all guidelines from http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ -no effect
microsoft remains extremely unhelpful
i am really desperate -please advise

Here is a solution that worked for a user who also had a problem with iTunes Software Support. This thread was for a win32 version, but Maybe this is the problem for both of you?:
IT appears that AppleApplicationSupport.msi, is not opening and installing properly.
Download and SAVE iTunesSetup.exe, where you can find it.
    Then:
    1. Download and install WinRAR.
    2. Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe icon and choose "Open with WinRAR".
    3. Once the EXE is opened in WinRAR, double-click AppleApplicationSupport.msi and when the installer window is open choose "Repair".
    4. Done! You can now run iTunes normally.

  • Unable to install iTunes on Windows 7 64 Bit

When I try to install iTunes 64 bit on my Windows 7 computer using the latest installer from Apple's website, I get the following error:

The installation finishes, but when I run iTunes it says:
*Apple Application Support was not found.*
*Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.*
    *Error 2 (Windows error 2)*
    I have tried:
    * Uninstall all Apple-related software, including Bonjour, Quicktime, and Automatic Updater.
    * Clear out temp folder
    * Running the install as administrator
    * Extracting the .msi files and running them separately
    Any ideas?

I have Window 64 bit installed on my HP laptop. It came with Vista but I upgraded to Windows 7. Firefox will not work properly now. I have installed the right version from the Mozzilla website and disabled all add-ons. Still wont display any pages properly when I open the browser. Any ideas? • Unable to use iTunes Match

Hello everybody! Being Italian I apologise in advance for my english, if something isn't clear feel free to ask!
Now, to the problem: since two days I'm unable to use iTunes Match at all.
In the past days I was organising my library in playlists, when yesterday I noticed that some songs weren't in the playlists they were supposed to be in. I noticed also that near the Music tab there wasn't the usual empty cloud icon, but instead there was a cloud with a lightning bolt in it.
I searched and discovered that I had a connection problem. I restarted my PC and my router, only to notice that everything was the same as before I restarted the PC. I then tried to click the cloud, it became filled with the usual "barbershop pole" pattern, and then it seemed to work. When I tried to put a song in a random playlist, again the lightning bolt.
I tried to turn off iTunes Match (both with or without the Shift key), I unauthorized the PC, I logged out of my account, but to no avail. The iTunes Match "Add this computer" procedure works fine, but afterwards I cannot update any of my playlists.
Thinking that all this could be Windows-related, I tried the same with my MacBook Pro, but everything wasn't working as well. I couldn't use iTunes Match on my iPhone and on my iPod touch either.
Yesterday night, at around 11.30PM GMT+1, everything seemed to work, but having to go to university the day after I turned off the PC and went to sleep, only to find out that today we're back to square one. Nothing works on any device, when I click the lightning bolt the cloud becomes empty, but when I do something on my playlists the bolt appears again. Having said that, I don't think I have a network problem. I can connect to the internet as usual, i can use the iTunes store and the App Store and (from time to time) I can even download songs from my iTunes Match on my main PC. The playlists changes and the whole music library still don't appear on the iPhone/iPod touch and the Mac though.
I just entered in the second year of subscription to iTunes Match. Almost no problems at all for more than a year, and less than two months after I paid for the second year all this happens... I'm not very happy. I just hope someone of you has an answer, because I searched in every corner of this community but I didn't find any solutions.
Thanks in advance for your answers,
    Alessandro

Just to let everybody know, the problem disappeared totally on friday. Now everythiing works again, I lost nothing and I still can access all of my songs.
I waited a bit because you never count your chicken before they're hatched, but after three days I can cry "victory".
Thanks anyway to anybody who viewed my question and thought a possible solution for my problem!
    Alessandro

  • Unable to install Itunes in Windows XP

I am unable to Install Itunes oin Windows xp professional SP2, it gives below error: Let me know how to get it installed

OK, there is still not much to go there.
I assume you are using 32 bit XP Pro, iTunes will not install on 64 bit XP but you should get a different error.
Lets try installing the components of iTunes separately.
Download the iTunes installer and save it in your downloads folder.
The files will be either itunessetup.exe or itunes64setup.exe for a 64 bit system.
Open notepad and copy the following 3 lines into it.
    md temp
    itunes64setup /extract temp
    pause
Remove 64 for 32 bit itunes.
Save the file as extract.bat into the same folder that contains the itunes installer.
Open the downloads folder and you should find the extract file that you saved. Double click on it and a black window will open telling you what it is doing. When its finished, press any key to continue.
You should find that a folder called temp has been created containing all the itunes msi files.
Install by double clicking on them  in this order:
    Apple Application Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Apple Software Update
    iTunes
Make a note of any error messages and which component it relates to.
Also use the Windows Event viewer to see if there are error messages at the time you attempted the installs.
The following article gives information about using the Event Viewer:

Unable to install Itunes on Windows 8.
It states Errors occured during installation. Your system has not been modified, and does not fully down load.
    I have tried :-
    Uninstall Itunes and then reinstall
Uninstalled Itunes then connect Iphone to computer and tried to source relevant Itunes package.
ininstalled Itunes then tried to install a later version
Even tried an Itunes 64 bit installer then tried to download Itunes.
All the above have been unsucessful. I have a 64 bit operationg system, x64 based processer laptop computer.
I have spoken to the staff at apple store who were all really nice but could not offer any help unless I had an apple computer.
Please help as I have two Iphones and an Ipad which are limited without Itunes.

See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
If you still have problems installing iTunes download and install 7-Zip (free) and a fresh copy of the current installer from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ or use these direct links (which will go out of date at some point):
    iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-02-25)
    iTunes 11.1.5 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-02-25)
Then unpack the installer into its components using 7-Zip and install them individually in alphabetical order (don't try to install SetupAdmin.exe or iCloud.msi). If any of the components still fail to install you may get more useful error messages as to why not.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)
