Completely Uninstall BlackBerry Link from Mac

How do you completely uninstall BlackBerry Link from Mac?

Hey wmatt,
Thanks for the post.
Open the BlackBerry Link setup file and choose Uninstall BlackBerry Link.  Then do a quick search for anything "BlackBerry" and drag it to your trash and empty the trash and restart the Mac.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Cheers.

  • How to uninstall Virtual PC from mac Lion?

    Hi,
I installed a Virtual PC (7 version) machine on my mac system yesterday but I found it cannot work because the compatible issue, my system is OS X mountain lion. It is always saying "Power PC applications are no longer supported". Now what I want is just uninstall Virtual PC from my mac and I do not want to bother using it. Because what bothers me is that the panel show in the Finder is not like previously shown. There are not the left favoraties column shown any more. I cannot go to the right folder to see files and it create so big trouble! I just want everything back. Another thing is that everytime when it starts up, there will be a box pop up saying like "the virtual machine cannot start up because the setting is not right" things like this. I guess the Virtual PC disorder some settings in OS X system.
So I only want to unistall this Virtual PC. I guess it can not be remove by just simpy delete the icon in applciations, am I right? I find the "Uninstal Virtual PC" icon in the dmg package, but when I dounble click it, it also shows "You can't open the application "Uninstal Virtual PC" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported"! which drives me crazy. Does anyone know about how to uninstall Virtual PC from mac for this situation? I appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Amanda

I just followed the instructions and clicked contunue.  I guess I just finished part 1, the installing part. The details are:
    section 1: installing virtual PC
section 2: setting up virtual PC
    section 3: setting up windows
In Section 1 you will install the Virtual PC for Mac application and supporting files. You will need to restart your computer at the end of Section 1.
Section 2 covers personalizing Virtual PC for Mac and the installation of Windows.
In Section 3, you will configure Windows."
I clicked continue to let it install (section 1). After that, Mac restarted and it never asked me to set up virtual PC. All the problems aboved mentioned came up afterwards.
    Did I do anything wrong?
    Thanks.

  • Can't uninstall blackberry link completely

Every time I try to play an MP3 file, or some other various forms of media, whether it be using a media player or whether it be through anything else, as long as there is an mp3 file somewhere on my computer trying to be played by anything at all, windows installer pops up with 'Please wait while windows configures blackberry link', 6 times. I have to cancel it, then another one will open, then i have to cancel that. 6 times. My dad did install this software on my laptop before but I have since uninstalled it, aswell as removing all registry relations and files I could possibly find. It's as if my hard drive is literally posessed by a blackberry link demon. Every time I try to let it go through with the installation, surprise surprise, it can't find the installation files, so it quits itself. I've tried looking for any remaining blackberry files on my computer but THERE ARE NONE. What do I do?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

First try this, it usually works but may not since you removed registry and Program items.
    http://support2.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall
If that does not work try this:    http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.html  this is one of the best.
If both fail then you will have to reinstall Link then uninstall with the Microsoft link.

  • Cannot completely uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.6

Whenever I try to uninstall the BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.6,
I get window that is looking for the BlackBerry Desktop Messenger.msi file in c:\Temp\<something>
I downloaded the latest 4.6 from the BlackBerry website, unzipped it and then point to the msi in there.
I get a message that says this is not the correct msi file for this application.
The latest version is B027 and I might have installed an earlier version.
Any thoughts on how to get this completely uninstalled.
Reason is I cannot install 4.6 or 4.7 because it first wants to complete the uninstall.
Further I cannot download the Webex client as it also is looking for this uninstall to complete.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Regards,
Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
It sounds like you've got some real PC-level problems there...with all that you've done, I honestly don't know what to advise you at this internet-distance. I do know that, in the past, others have gotten into the same situation you are in and have would up totally reloading their PC OS from scratch in order to clean things up. I hope you don't have to go to that extent. But, several of your statements cause me to have questions...

You can or cannot do the uninstall from the Control Panel? I cannot tell from what you've said. The clean uninstall is documented in the prior-linked KB.

Yup...you've created quite a problem there...you might try re-installing the software, in repair mode (if such is offered), and then perhaps you'll be able to uninstall.

Again, is it or is it not showing in add/remove programs? I cannot tell from what you've said...
    Good luck!

  • How uninstall Adobe Connect from Mac OS X?

    Hi!
I need to uninstall Adobe Connect from my computer with Mac OS X. I've found this instruction: http://blog.kevingoldsmith.com/2011/09/30/having-problems-with-the-adobe-connect-add-in-on -os-x-here-is-how-to-uninstall-it/
Unfortunatley it doesn't work. In my ~/Library/Preferences there is no Macromedia, no Flash Player and no www.macromedia.com/bin/connectaddin.
Can anyone please help me get rid of this add-in?
    Thank you in advance!
    Best regards, Amy

On my 10.7.5 machine, it is located Users/<profile name>/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/www.macromedia.com/bin/adobeconnectaddin/adobeconnectaddin.app
Please make sure all your browser windows are closed. You may also have to enable the hidden files.
    I hope this helps,

  • Firefox won't open links from Mac Mail

Like everyone else Apple Mail links will not open in Firefox if it is already open. Clicking a link brings FF to the front but no page loads. Links work if FF is not open. Links work if command is pressed whilst clicking the link (opens in new tab in background).
Problem occurred after 32.0.2 update, it appeared to briefly resolve itself after 32.0.3 update, but stopped (I think) on next reboot.
Have monkeyed around for ages with different combinations of default browser and rebooting.
Will abandon FF and go back to Safari if this isn't sorted soon - shame.

I just want to link to these earlier threads so you don't get a lot of duplicate suggestions that have already been covered there:
    * [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1018542 Firefox won't open email links after update to version 32]
    * [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1023202 No tab opens when I click on a link if any Firefox window is already open]
(There might be others, but those are the ones I've seen)
Work is proceeding on [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1017595 Bug #1017595 – Links from external applications sometimes fail to open when Firefox is hidden] but as you can tell from the title, this is focused on the problem of Firefox not coming out of hiding from the dock or coming out of hiding but not loading the page. If this also occurs when Firefox is not hidden at all, there may be a secondary issue. But hopefully solving the one will solve the other. Unfortunately, I don't know whether it will be in time for Firefox 33.

  • MySQL uninstall after upgrade from Mac OS X 10.6.8

    Hi,
I've upgraded my Mac Pro to Mac OS X 10.7 from 10.6.8.
So i've embedded PostgreSQL of Lion and embedded MySQL from 10.6.8.
I've migrated my web sites databases from the old MySQL to the new PostgreSQL.
Now, I would like to stop and uninstall the old MySQL server.
How can I uninstall it ?
    Thanks.

Because it's not the MySQL offcial package that is running, but the embedded one that was in 10.6.8, nothing is the same as in this forum.
Because Mysql binaries are in /usr/bin, it should be difficult to uninstall it. In fact it's not a problem if binaries are still there, cause it's not a great amount of data.
But, I would like to stop the MySQL server and actually, I don't know how to do that.
There is no files in /Library/StartupItems.
There is no MSQLCOM=-YES- or MSQLCOM=-NO- in /etc/hostconfig.
I tried to add MSQLCOM=-NO- in it, but after rebooted the server, mysql is still running ...
I don't know how to stop or start the MySQL service on Lion ?

  • How do I completely uninstall Firefox on a Mac?

Leaving position, must turn in laptop without added programs. Must completely remove Firefox.
Is there more to it than removing Firefox from the Applications folder?

    See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/uninstalling%20Firefox
*the page detects your OS automatically with the browser used to open the page.
    *To get the correct instructions:
**If you are un-installing from an OSX system, go to the page with a system using OSX.
**Open the page with a Windows system if un-installing from a Windows system.
Un-install your personal information also (bookmarks, passwords, etc.) as mentioned on that page.

Does anyone know how to do this?  I assumed the install process of the update would uninstall the older version.  It did not.  I cannot find how to uninstall Adobe 8 now.  Your help is appreciated.  I have a Mac OS X Version 10.4.11.

That's probably old-school thinking or PC thinking.
A little bit of both actually.
Most files that are used by applications are stored in their respective folders. With few exceptions, deleting them will delete 99% of the application. The only thing left over are very small files such as preferences...etc. that won't take up space or hurt anything.
If you want to get rid of them, check in the application folder before you delete it for an uninstaller. Some apps have it, some don't. I believe 8 may have one if I remember correctly. There will still be some folders that need to be manually deleted after you are done.

  • Uninstalling Photoshop 7 from Mac 10.5.4

    Hello,
I am using Photoshop CS3 and would like to uninstall PS v.7.
Instead of deleting the folder (adobe PS 7)... Is there an better way of doing this?
    Thank you in advance
    Carlos

    Hi sflocation,
Nope, that's pretty much it. If you want to go one step further look in your preference files for any Photoshop 7 or ImageReady 7 folders or files i.e. Settings, Paths and so forth. User > Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop 7
The only thing to watch out for is if you made any presets that you should save from PS7 for use in PS CS3... brushes, styles, patterns, that sort of thing.

  • Broken links from mac to Win

    Hi all
A client has supplied a bunch of files in a folder which represents a CD volume. The structure is that it has a top level 'menu' pdf with link tool buttons off to a series of nested folders containing other pdfs, Quicktime movies and jpeg image files.
She built (what is intended as) the cd volume on her mac in A8Pro.
The links all work as expected on OSX but break on Win with the error that it cannot find the file and lists the path of the 'non-existant' file.
I think this is something to do with the difference between OS in how they handle sub directories
    MAC volumename:folderlevel01:folderlevel02:filename.pdf
    WIN volumename\folderlevel01\folderlevel02\filename.pdf
I really want the disc to be a Custom Hybrid with a HFS+ (iow standard OSX) volume and an ISO9660 - Joliet Windows volume on the same disc. So mac users get a nice custom graphic window and pc users get an autorun and all is fine in the world.
Is there a fix or workaround for this other than creating two sets of PDF files, one for each volume ?
    tia
    - Dean

The problem should have nothing to do with the disk directory structure,
but possibly everything to do with the name used for the file name or
directories on the path. What are the names of the files and
directories. Do they satisfy the old 8.3 plain ascii conventions with no
    special characters in the names?
