Completing a Slideshow

I created a slide show in Photoshop Elements 10 using my photos in Organizer. When I finished for the day, the program instructed me to Save it if I wanted to return to the slideshow at another time. When I tried to return I found no way of doing so.
How do I retrieve my preliminary slide show  from yesterday to add music and do some editing??

Hi,
In the oranizer the slideshow project has the following icon.
If you are using windows following are the location where the slideshow projects get stored:
Windows Xp; C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\<Your catalog name>\Projects
Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\catalogs\<Your catalog name>\Projects
file extension is .psess

  • Completing a slideshow and reporting the result

    Hi all
I have a imported my ppt slideshow, added the narration etc.,
but I want a way to stop the users from jumping or moving the
slidebar straight to the end of the show. And at the sametime when
they have completed viewing all the slides, captivate has to report
back that they have viewed it all. We have an LMS here.
    Thanks for the advice.
    Drew

    Welcome to our community, Drew
To prevent users from proceeding, choose not to include the
playback control. (Project > Skin > Playback Control) If you
choose to do that, you would also probably want to remove the
bottom border. (Project > Skin > Border)
For the reporting, insert a Button object and configure it to
    report back to the LMS.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Slideshow stops running before completion

I am attempting to run a slideshow for a client but before its completion the slideshow cuts out.  I remain in the slideshow module and if I click on the play button again it will run the slide show to its completion.  This is a slideshow of 190 photos (all small jpg files) and it gets about half way through when it cuts out.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks.

    hi Kimjobaby!
unfortunately, it sounds like you've got a malware problem that has been going around. let's just doublecheck that.
use the following technique to see if you can identify start-up items that are suppressing itunes:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302538
if you do find any, do they include weird items (typically with four-letter names) that don't return any hits when you Google on the name?

  • How do I have photos pop-open... not a slideshow?

    Hello,
I am trying to create a photo page without a slideshow. I removed the slideshow button from the layout, but when I click a photo in the published page, an enormous slideshow window always opens.
I just want to be able to click each image and have them open larger in a separate window.
How do I disable the slideshow?
    Thank You,
    Aaron (and new to iWeb)

    Heavies, James?
    You know, Cyclosaurus....Heavies....as in heavy
hitters? Surely you didn't take offense to
    that....certainly none was intended.
    I was just kidding
I think the OP talks about different things...
I don't know, the OP states his question quite
clearly: "How do I disable the slideshow?" which I
think is the topic of the thread I directed him to.
    Just my opinion, though.
You can't completely disable slideshow, iWeb ALWAYS generates slideshow no matter you like it or not. Even if you delete the 'Start Slideshow' button, it still makes slideshow.html (either in Photo_files or Slideshow_assets folder), that how the thumbnails get displayed.

  • Is there a way to reduce the pixel size of multiple photos in a slideshow?

I have a Windows 7 computer and use Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9.  I recently completed a slideshow that contains about 360 photos, many or all of which exceed the maximum size of 1000 x 750 pixels.  Is there any way that I can easily reduce the pixel size of each of the photos?  If upgrading to the most recent versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements would help me accomplish this I would be willing to do this.  Thanks very much in advance for any advice or suggestions.

You can batch process your images to re-size them in the editor using the menu:
    File >> Process Multiple Files
Place your chosen photos in a separate folder and then choose a separate destination folder; so as not to overwrite the originals.

  • Why can't I import .jpg files into PRE 9 slideshow project?

I have a Windows 7 computer and use Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9.  I recently completed a slideshow for my father's 90th birthday in Photoshop Elements that contains about 360 photos, 12 songs/partial songs, and lasts 24 minutes.  My intention is to burn it to a DVD so that it can play on Windows and Mac computers, as well as on televisions in DVD players.
When I tried to import the project into Premiere Elements I got an error message: "Adobe Photoshop Elements Slideshow Import Error: Following file formats could not be imported in Adobe Premiere Elements - .jpg."
From a little digging I have done I saw a post that said that my photo files have to be: 1) 24-bit RGB color, and 2) no larger than 1000 x 750 pixels.  If this is true, then many of my photos have too many pixels, which must be causing the error message.  Does anyone know if this is correct?  If so, is there any way that I can fix my problem without going in to each photo file and reducing the size of the pixels/file?  I am also wondering if upgrading to the most recent versions of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements could help me.  Thanks very much in advance for any advice or suggestions.

welcome HarleyQ to the  boards ...
avi and mov are socalled containers, some say "wrapper"; inside such a container are all kind of "codecs" (formats...)
iM is meant to work with miniDV camcorders; these use a codec called dv..
so, iM prefers a dv (inside a mov.. or an avi, if the file is made on a PC...)
QTpro allows you, to look inside an avi (or mov), and looking for the used codec; QTpro also allows the conversion of many codecs into dv.. but not all; you can teach QT new tricks, by installing plug-ins, codecs for divx, wmv, ...
goto www.perian.org, and install that plug-in.. probably, it helps to handle your avi................

  • Burn slideshow to dvd

Found out Elements 12 can not burn a slideshow of still pictures with music to a DVD that can then be played on a DVD player.   Appears I have to buy Premiere as well.  Please confirm.

When you've completed your slideshow, click the Output button at the top of the slideshow editor and you should see this window:
Choose to make a wmv file rather than a pdf, and that's the file you send to your burning software.

  • Iphoto slideshow questions

I am running iphoto 9.5.1 with OSX 10.9.3 I am making a slideshow that I will eventually export to an external HD. When I make a title for the first picture it does not save for some reason...I have to constantly redue it. Why?
I don't see an option to save the slideshow and it seems to be auto-saving which is great, but that first picture's title won't save.
Last question...when I have completed the slideshow can I just drag and drop it into my external HD?
    thanks

, but it only works on my computer!
Where do you want to play it?  If you want to create a video DVD that will play on TV sets with DVD players you need to use a video DVD authoring applicaiton like iDVD. Here's how:
Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar.  For iPhoto 9.4.3 and earlier select Size = Medium or Large. For iPhoto 9.5 and later selct 480p.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
The following is important only if you don't already have iDVD on your Mac:
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com.  Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides  themes from iDVD 5-7.  The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:
This shows the iDVD contents in the iLife 09 disc via Pacifist:
You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.

  • Unable to share slideshows in iPhoto, share option all greyed out except for email and iCloud

    iPhoto version 9.6
    OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
Completed a slideshow share 11/28 via iPhoto to Facebook
Created a new slideshow to upload to fb msg users however all fields in Share were greyed out except for email.
While working with Apple support and waiting on them I went into iCloud preferences and unchecked a share with selected users and found then that under share iCloud now appears along with email however all other options for sharing are still greyed out.
Please help as support is saying that is the way iPhoto now works
    Thank You, Theresa

Export the slideshow and that makes a movie of it.
    Upload that to Facebook.

  • What happened to slideshow adjustments in elements 13?

what happened to slideshow adjustments in elements 13?
I can't control effects, time or movement.  can't belive adobe took all these adjustments away

Adobe is starting over with a completely different slideshow in PSE 13. Unfortunately, for now it's a lot more basic than the old slide show editor.

  • How to Port Slideshow from PSE9 to PRE11

I currently have installed and successfully used PSE9 for a number of years. I recently purchased and installed PRE11 in order to do some video editing however I first created a slideshow in PSE9 with the intent to burn it to a DVD. The completed slideshow includes 140 still photos (all resized to 1000X750 maximum), transitions, text and music but no video) and when I tried to port it to my PRE11 using the "Edit with Premiere Elements" command, I received the following message "The feature you selected requires Adobe Premiere Elements" and then an option to download a 30-day trial. I did some research online and have read that different versions of PSE and PRE are not compatible and therefore I have the following four related questions.
    1. is it correct that my PSE9 will be unable to port to my PRE11? And, if that is not correct, then how do I get past the above error message in order to burn my completed PSE9 slideshow to a DVD via my PRE11? I do not want to convert the slideshow to a WMV to created a CD due to the lower quality.
    2. If it is correct that I cannot port between different versions of PSE and PRE then does anyone know of a program I can use to take my completed PSE9 slideshow out of PSE9 and burn a high quality DVD of the slideshow?
    3. If I have to upgrade my PSE9 to PSE11 in order to port my slideshow to PRE11 and thus burn a DVD of my slideshow, is there any way to move/copy/cut&paste my existing PSE9 slideshow to the new PSE11 or will I need to totally recreate it in the new PSE11?
    4. If I must purchase and install PSE11 in order to do the above, is there any guarentee that the new PSE11 will allow me to port the slideshow to my existing PRE11?
Seems like an awful lot of work just to produce a slideshow DVD but I'm willing to do whatever it takes since I've already spent quite a few hours getting the PSE9 slideshow exactly the way I want it.
My system is Windows 7 Home Premium, DualCore CPU, 64 bit operating system and 4 GB RAM.
I'd be very grateful for any advice or suggestions.
    MJK

It all depends whether the PSE11 Organizer will convert your existing PSE9 catalog. I would suggest downloading the free trial of PSE11 using the link below.

  • Can't Open Slideshow that's in Progress - iPhoto 11

I am not able to open a slideshow I have been working on in iPhoto 11. When I click to open, I get the spinning wheel of death and it does not stop. When I open the Activity Monitor, it says iPhoto is not responding and I have to Force Close in order to close iPhoto. I don't have any problems opening any photos in my library so the photos aren't corrupt.
Any ideas on how to resolve this? I need to complete the slideshow and burn to DVDs for an event on Saturday.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Backup the library and try the fixes below in order as necessary:
    Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in the User/Library/Application Support/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select options #1, #2 and #6.

  • Slideshow in pse8 for mac

Um. I'm trying to create a sldeshow that I can upload to youtube.  When I click create/create pdf slideshow it opens bridge and allows selection of some pictures, but never does anything else.  I read the threads here about this whih described the slideshow ccreator as "lame."   I can't get it to work at all.
    What am I missing here?
After looking through comments and tutorials, I found that that bridge has a create slideshow option on the output icon on the toolbar.  ok, so how do iI get it to enable?  I select pictures; I open them into elements,,,   nothing.
As a general comment, a friend of mine convinced me that mac and photoshop was the way to go. I decided not to spring for a full photoshop, so I can't comment on that.   But so far my experience of the upgrade from windows elements 5 to elements 8 for mac overall has been lame.  I had trouble with the install (I got a font missing or corrupted error);  the blending dropdown on the layers menu has to be clicked for each change unlike the windows version and really slows my workflow.   Bridge in general seems behind organizer.   Now this, the slideshow maker, which worked just fine in windows, doesn't appear to work at all.    I just viewed the elements 9 video on slideshows, which said that this was a windows only feature.  Duh.
A comment by Barbara suggested that Adobe thought iphoto, iwhatever was enough. It would be nice if Adobe said that upfront, and showed at the beginning how to integrate elements into iphoto.  I've wasted two days searching the forums and the tutorials to figure that out.
I recently bought a drawing tablet and got a free Elements 7,   I think I may install it on my laptop.
The only real advantage of the mac has been the screen.
At this point, call me a dissatisfied customer of elements for mac

    Thanks fo rthe response.
Concretely, I still don't have any idea of what the create/pdf slideshow button does besides take you to bridge,
The windows version is a wizard that allows you to select pictures from organizer and then arrange the pics, choose transitions etc
In bridge I see no further steps to complete the slideshow.
Except...   there's an output/pdf menu in bridge.  If that's it, how do you get that to enable?
There really is no documentation that says in one place how to handle this.  It was only by finding your comment in the forums,
and then the demo on making pe the iphoto editor, that I was able to infer that this was the likely way to go.
    That is not adequate.

  • Slideshow has glitch in burned disc

I am having a problem with idvd. I prepared a slideshow with music and menus. It plays beautifully within idvd. I burn a disc and at a certain point in the replay, it either shuts down or stops for a minute and then restarts. (depends on which dvd player I am using.) I can play it on the computer and it just hesitates a moment and then goes on but one player actually stops and will not complete that portion of the menu. I have tried changing the music to no avail. Also tried removing the slide that is showing when it happens. Is it possible to have a problem with the burner that would show up at the exact same spot each time? I am trying to complete a slideshow for some friends 50th anniversary and am getting very frustrated. Have wasted about six discs so far. Not sure what else to try.
    Help!

OMG....it makes sense when you say that! It is happening right at the 99-100 slide. And I noticed that when I play it on the computer, the timer sets back to 0 at the glitch. I have three slideshows, two with less than 100 that work fine and the other with 153. I knew it had to be something simple. Most of the players that I play it on just pause and go on. Just the cheapie that I have in one room kicks the whole thing out.
Thank you so very very much. I will try arranging the slideshow in Lightroom and import it into idvd and hopefully that will work.

  • Doesn't return to main menu after slideshow

I put together some photos in iPhoto and then used the export to iDVD command to create a DVD of the slide show. I watched the slideshow all the way through in the preview mode in the iDVD app, and when the slideshow was finished, it went back to the main menu. Then I burned a DVD of it and put it in my home DVD player, and when it gets to the end of the slideshow it just stops and shows the screen on my TV like there is no DVD in the player - the blue screen with the DVD logo. I tried putting the DVD in my other computer and it returned to the main menu after the slideshow from the DVD, so the problem seems to just be with my Panasonic home DVD player.
I also have a movie on there that I created in iMovie. When that plays on my home DVD player it returns to the main menu when it is finished.
Any reason why this is doing this and what I can do about it? Since my internal DVD burner went bust, I'm using an external DVD burner, but I can't imagine that would have anything to do with it.
    Thanks.

Okay, I figured it out. After much heartache and frustration I finally figured it out. I couldn't quite accept the fact that it may have been due to the type of DVD I was using - especially when you can't go out and buy just one blank DVD.
Anyhow, after getting frustrated with iDVD, I decided to try putting the project together using DVD Studio Pro 3. What I noticed is that, when trying to build a slideshow, I couldn't use more than 99 photos. I actually had 101 photos in my slideshow. So, I went back to iDVD and took out 2 photos so that I had a total of 99 in the project. Then, when I played it in my home DVD player, it worked fine. It went back to the main menu after completing the slideshow.
So, moral of the story is, in iDVD 6, you can't use more than 99 photos in your slideshow.
