Complex Logo - Help

Hey folks, a small challenge for you--

Ok, so there are many levels to this logo. All I want to do before I move on is get rid of the appended block to the left when I select it. This huge box is part of a masked image -- which I need to stay in that exact position. I need to do this so that I can align the image properly. Seems like I've tried almost everything. [Feel free to hack at it; I'm using CS5 btw]
Thoughts?

Basically....draw it
You could easily take the small portion you've got displaying and place it in a new file. Enlarge it 400% or more and lock it for use as a template. Then draw the shapes of the texture on a new layer and color appropriately. When done, reduce 25% and place back on the logo... then everything is 100% vector and there will never be any worry about scaling. Becuase it's just a distress texture you really don't have to be 100% accurate when recreating it. Getting the basic shapes would be enough.
I simply don't use raster elements in logos ever. It's one of the staples of solid logo design in my opinion — the ability to scale to any size without alteration.

Ipod touch 5th gen, gets stuck on apple logo.HELP!

I guess I will just start from the beginning. FIRST OF ALL I HAVE ALREADY TRIED RECOVERY AND RESETTING PLEASE DO NOT SAY THAT! My iPod touch 5th generation was dead and i left it dead for a day or so before recharging it, I just hadn't gotten around to it and left it in a bag from my trip. When i plugged it in it looked like it was going to turn on, but it just showed the usual apple logo and then shut off again. After letting it charge a while longer, i unplugged it and tried to turn it on, still nothing. I plugged it into my laptop, nothing. I tried a different charger, nothing helped. I even tried resetting it, where you hold both the home button and power button, each and every time i got the white apple logo, and then it shut off again. I kept reading the Apple forum and different things online and a common answer was to put it into recovery mode. Previously, Itunes would not recognize it, but when i held down the home button and connected it, it did and asked me if i wanted recover or update or whatever it asks. I did it, it took like an hour to finish and NOTHING happened. There was no change. I talked with an apple employee and she just gave me pretty much the same answer as everyone else. PLEASE HELP ME! IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO?

Try what you have not already tried:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I Phone Freezes with Mailbox and CD Logo-Help Please

My Iphone freezes with a Mailbox logo with an arrow pointing to an I-tunes CD logo. It will not allow me to re-set. It does allow me to turn on and off, but this same mailbox logo with an arrow pointing upward to the i-tunes logo is constant. I have tried resetting completely, but nothing.
any help would be appreciated.
Also, this occurs about once per week, but usually resolves with a re-charge. However, this is NOT the problem. Thanks again.

It sounds like your iPad is in recovery mode after an error in the update process that may have occurred. The solution to this would be to plug it into a computer running the latest version of iTunes and press the restore button. This will ease the iPad and reinstall iOS. Hopefully you setup an iCloud or iTunes backup for the device.

Macbook stuck on white screen with apple logo. help please

I have a macbook (black model) and while I was surfing on internet it is frozen. so I shut it down and restarted. When I restarted, it stuck on white screen with gray apple logo and seems like booting but nothing happens.
after that, I restarted again and put installation disc (leopard) without pressing any key and it opened normally. I backed up os with time machine but in one hour it is frozen again.
restarted again but this time it did not boot normally. so i tried booting from cd with c key, it opened installation screen. I have opened disk utility top repair disk, but when I click on disc image, repair / verify disk buttons are unavailable to click and S.M.A.R.T status is not supported.
After all, I tried to erase and install system several times, but after language section when I click agree to terms and conditions, mac freeze again.
So, I do not know what to do. Any help please?
Note: I already tried PRM and Safe Mode. (after safe mode it took me to installation screen again and nothing changed.)
Any help would be much appreciated!
Uptade: Also, opened system profiler and clicked on Serial-ATA, it seems loading but do not show any info. stucked again! help please

You need to select "MacintoshHD 10.5.8 not "disc image" in order to run Disk Utility and Verify and if necessary, Repair the disk.
That's why you are seeing this dialog.

I accepted iOS 8.3 upgrade last night on our iPad and now cannot turn it on - get as far as a black screen with the picture of the charger and itunes logo - help please!

I accepted the latest 8.3 iOS upgrade last night which resulted in my not being able to turn on the iPad.
Following the troubleshooting guidelines I can get as far as the black screen by forcing a restart (holding both buttons) all I can see is the diagrammatic picture of the charger and the iTunes red logo. I cannot move on from here and the instructions indicated that a message should show offering the iOS upgrade - but this is not happening for me!
If anyone can help it would be hugely appreciated - many thanks.

White box around my logo help

I designed a logo in FH 3.1 years ago and it is an
oval. Now in the PC I have Freehand MX and There is a white box
around the oval that is not really part of the design. Cant get rid
of it and need to use the logo

I have also been trying to solve the same problem. Where does one take an already created watermark and make it transparent? I have Photoshop on my old Mac and e-mailed my solid white background watermark to myself, opened it in Photoshop and "erased" the white background. Transfered it back to my Lightroom on my MacBookPro and exported the test photo w/ the "erased" background watermark. I had no idea if it would work….it did not. OR : How does one create a transparent watermark? I have a graphic I want to use w/ my name. Please HELP!!!

I have a search page that uses checkboxes allowing users to
search on keywords, that returns any photos which match the
selected keywords.
In the search page the checkboxes are created using an array,
and are displayed as :

Someone kindly helped me out some time ago to write a fairly
complex (for me!) query that counts the matches, so enabling the
results to be ordered by the number of matches, ie the most
relevant matches first.

The page I have is using Tom Muck's pages list and horizontal
looper behaviours to display the results.
Everything works fine except the pages list, where there is
more than one page of results. I've emailed the ever helpful Tom
who has advised me that the query may need to be constructed in DW,
as the Pages List behaviour relies on DW's code to manage the
paging.
So I've gotten as far as the basic query code :

I've been playing around with different things in the query's
variables, such as

Default value : 1
Run time value : $_GET['ckbox']
but to no avail.

Logo Help

I have a logo (picture below) that I need help with. My question is how do I get rid of the line between the F and the G. I realize that this is something that I should probably do in Illustrator but I have never used it and I am not used to it yet. Your help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Grey Screen with Apple Logo - HELP

First of all: I know there is another topic for this, but this is a different problem (i think?)
I was installing snow leopard... it came up with that green tick with restart below it. It shut down and when it booted up it went to the grey screen with apple logo and it hung there for 6 hours until I turned it off. The disc is still stuck in there (tried holding in the mouse button) and it won't come out. I also held in the C button which made the disc drive make a lot of noise.
Any help would be appreciated.

By any change, have you completed all upgrade that your mac asked you before installing 10.6?
If yes, you're in this situation: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2990 , you can try to install it again. Some people said that it took them 3 times to make it works.

Jagged Fonts - My First Logo -Help Plz

I've gotten my first freelance job, and I'm designing the logo.
It came out great, but I just noticed today that when I save it as an eps or a pdf, the fonts are extremely jagged.
I'm worried my client will be unable to successfully take this file to a printer.
I am using Illustrator CS2, and using fonts Impact and Times New Roman.
What could be causing this? I am getting flagged for "Only fonts with appropriate permission bits will be enabled." and "This document contains artwork that requires flattening."
Any help is appreciated.

I think there are settings when you go to print as a pdf where you can make it print in high resolution. I had a publication I did once and the initial pdf's were not clear for printing. NOTE - I did the publication in InDesign, NOT PhotoShop. In speaking with the printer he walked me through a way that made it come out crystal clear. Of course the file was huge (250 Megs) but not a problem because I ftp'd it up.
In InDesign I EXPORTED the pdf, but I don't see that feature in PhotoShop. However, there is a Export Paths to Illustrator. I have not done this but you might play with it. I usually create vector logos then export to a bitmap format and get better results...not that I'm a pro like so many others on these forums, but it works for me.
In the meantime you might want to contact a local commercial printer in your area and ask if they can help direct you. Some work with you and others shun you.

My iPod Touch 4g is stuck on the Apple logo. I have tried the home button and power button together and it keeps going back to the Apple Logo. And then it is stuck there. Please help!!!
