Complex roll up aggregation in Webi

Hi all,
I have one client’s requirement, I have the table as like below. Here Whenever any issue happens in the product comes as Returns Quan, Del Quan is nothing but total Del Quantities in that particular month.
Return Month
Return Year
Return Quan
Del Quan
Delyear
DelMonth

Client wanted to analyze the report on return month wise, Let us take For Jan 2012 return date he wanted to aggregate for last 6 months delivery Quantity. The same way for Issue Quantity we should consider the current month also.
Output for Jan 2012 row the out should be as like below
Return Month
Return Year
Return Quan
Del Quan
Jan
2012
4
2959
In another words if you are looking for return date Jan 2012, we should check the same previous month i.e. Dec 2011 in Delivery Year Moth columns, once find from that Delivery Year Month we should go previous 6 months and aggregated for Del Quan Column.
So based on return Year Month we should go and check the year and month in Del columns and get the values and aggregate it.
So the final output for this requirement is as like below.
Return Month
Return Year
Return Quan
Del Quan

Please let me know if you any confusion on my explanation.
Can someone please guide me how to achieve this requirement? I am struggling a lot to achieve this requirement.
Thank you much in advance for your kind help on this.
Thanks&Regards
Sree

Hi Sree,
Use the following variables...
1) Previous_Return_Quan = previous([return_quan];1)
2) Return_Quan_Total = sum([Return_Quan];[Prev_return_Quan]) // Now use this object instead of [Return_Quan] object.
3) Previous_Del_Quan = previous([Del_Quan];1)
4) Del_Quan_Total = sum([Del_Quan];[Prev_Del_Quan]) // Replace this object with [Del_Quan] object.
Or Instead of PREVIOUS function you can also use LAG function.

G Sujitha

• Complex xml types in a web service request

Hello,
I'm a newcomer to APEX and wondered how to create complex data types in a web service reference, and how to address these fields from a page item type. I have a wsdl containing nested lists of strings and don't know how to solve this in APEX, can anyone help me?

hi Jonjeao,
i too searching the steps and refrerences for my project.
i found the solution from
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/pdf/Using_Oracle_Application_Express_to_Interact_with_XML-RPC_Style_Web_Services.pdf
please try your url with xml to web service.

• How to deal with complex SOAP responses when calling web services ???

Hi all,
I have an issue when calling a web service that returns a complex
SOAP response message. With simple responses (e. g. array of strings) it
worked.
I created the PDF as an Interactive form with Livecycle Designer 8.2.
The Javascript looks like this:
var cURL = "http://blabla";
var cTestString = "too";
SOAP.wireDump=true;
var response = SOAP.request(
cURL: cURL,
oRequest: {
"http://blabla.com/:complete" : {
arg0: cTestString
cAction: "http://bla.com:50000/"
var resp = response["http://blabla.com:serviceResponse"];
console.println("lenght:"+resp.length);
var myns = "http://blabla.com/namespace";
for (var nItem in resp.return)
console.println("" + nItem + " " + resp.return[nItem] );
for (var ConceptView in resp.return[nItem])
console.println("  "+resp.return[nItem].length);
console.println("  "+ConceptView+" "+resp.return[nItem][ConceptView] );
if (ConceptView == myns + ":Response")
for (var item2 in resp.return[nItem][ConceptView]){
console.println("    "+item2+" "+resp.return[nItem][ConceptView][item2] );
I call the service and when I realized that I do not find out the type of the object returned, I used the nested for-in-loops to iterate through it. But it seems that there is just one item in the Javascript object returned, although the SOAP message clearly shows that there are more than one item.
Can you help me?
One key problem when analyzing this issue is that I do not know at all
the Javascript type of response. We suspected it might be an array, but it is not
because the method .length returns "undefined". It would already be
helpful to know at least the type of this object and to know callable
methods and so on ...
Best regards
Christoph
P.S. As mentioned I used Livecycle Designer 8.2 and displayed and
debugged the document using Acrobat 9.

Christoph,
Firstly LiveCycle Designer 8.2 is still not supported to develop forms as per my knowledge. The latest version compatible for SAP Interactive Forms is ALD 8.0.
There is a difference between Acrobat based forms and LiveCycle forms and based on your coding it looks to me that you are trying to create a LiveCycle based form with coding of Acrobat which is not supported in LiveCycle Desginer, which is why you may be getting the error.
I hope that does not confuse you, so may check this [link|http://www.acrobatusers.com/articles/2006/08/designer_or_forms/index.php] for some clear information on what point I was trying to make.

• Is complex type request supported by web service data set?

I just installed OBIEE 11g and tried to create data models with web services. It works fine for web services that takes simple data types and returns complex data types. But if the request to the web service is a complex type, it doesn't work. On the Edit Data Set page, I selected "true" for Complex Type. After I entered WSDL url, it populated the Web Service dropdown, but not the Method dropdown. Any ideas?
The other problem I am having with web service data set is that it seems to ignore the attributes in the xml response. Only xml element is recognized.
e.g. in <trigger priority="0" font_size="0"/>, priority and font_size are ignored in the data set. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,
In this usecase , you can DnD the <serviceOperationName>_parameters as an ADF from. Then DnD the operation as a method. The methods input arg value is automatically set to the parameterIterator.currentRow.DataProvider. This works fine.

• How to bind complex input/output types in web service data control

Hi,
I have created data control using external web service for simple input & output data type and its working fine.
But I don't know how it can be done for complex data types.
My external Web services have complex input & output types. Such as java object which contains another java object again it contains another java object or arry or java collection etc.
Each my service has one complex input data type and for this no user input is require so how I can do it without using any component for it.
I want to bind my page components with this input & output type.
What is the best approach to do this and how to bind screen component.

• How to reference complex data type when consuming web services in WAS 620?

In WAS 620, I tried to consume a web service in ABAP. I was successful when the web service returned one or more simple data type. But when the web service is changed to return a complex data type (eg. a structure with 3 elements), the call to the web service did not return anything.
Do any of you know how to reference the individual element in the structure of an output parameter in a web service? I use the add_parameter method of the CSoapDocument class to identify the output parameters.

• What is Default Aggregation in Web Intelligence ?

In WebI, when I click on the Sigma (Sum) icon, the last option is "Default aggregation". What are the uses of this function?Also, what is the difference between Sum and Default Aggregation?

I am using BEx.
My problem is col1 is showing 85.5 in BEx.
In Webi, when i select "Sum" it is showing 13.5, but when i select "Default Aggregation" it is showing 85.5
When is checked "Duplicate Row Aggregation" there are only 8 records in col1 which sum upto 13.5. I dont know how 85.5 is arrived while using "Default Aggregation" ?

• Complex schemas using Document Literal Web Services

I am trying to use document style web services and top down approach. I prepared a request, response and fault schema. In those schemas i have attributes defined. When i use WSCOMPILE, it does not generate proper classes, if the schema is too complex. It has worked only for simple schemas. Is there any other way of doing it?

Hi!
If you are using jwsdp 1.6 or earlier and I remember correctly this uses JAXB 1.0 for databinding, which doesnt support all schema constructs.. Even if I'm wrong on that, you could use the -f:nodatabinding option with wscompile and do your own databinding with for example xmlbeans, which supports all schema constructs and is far more flexible than jaxb 1.0 (= personal opinion ;-)
good luck!

• Complex Sap text variable in WEBI with replacement path

Hi Gurus,
Variables in Bex
Present Fiscal Qtr : 2012Q4
Fiscal Qtr-8    :        2010Q4
My Output header(TEXT) in Bex as follows.
2010Q4_ ACT     2011Q1_ ACT     2011Q2_ ACT     2011Q3_ ACT     2011Q4_ ACT
2012Q1_ ACT     2012Q2_ ACT     2012Q3_ ACT     2012Q4 BOQ     2012Q4CONS
2012Q4_ACT      2013Q1 BOQ     2013Q1CONS
It's Completly working in Bex. I have used text variable and used replacement path to calculate the above texts.
WEBI : Even though the document from SAP says that the variables will work when it's derived through replacement path,
it's not working.
Question1 :
How can i achive this in webi . I saw some of the posts in SDN . They suggested to use 'USER RESPONSE' command.
Question 2 :
Assume we are using USER RESPONCE , when the current QTR = 2013Q1 . How can we derive the previous 8 Qtr 's , because
every Qtr the values are changing .

Hi,
In which way is it not working? What's your SP and Patch level ?
the webi pre-defined cell you are enquiring about is either =PromptSummary() or =UserResponse()

Obviously, as seen above, I'm doing something wrong or Live View does not do all the functions that Design View use to do. I realize I can still access Design View in non-Fluid Grid Layout documents and that is my current work-around. I copy from my Word file into Design View available in non-Fluid, then copy that code into my Fluid Grid Layout document, not real efficient use of my time. And, even that work-around may not be available after the next upgrade.

Hans thank you for your reply and attention to this matter. Moreover, with your steeped expertise I do not, in any fashion, intend to be flippant or capricious.
However, I do not believe the reply is on point since I'm not discussing the insertion of an HTML tag/element; but rather, the placing of complex formatted text into my various web pages.
Design View and 2014.1 Live View seem to serve different functions. That is, Design View, for us, serves as a highly sophisticated HTML5 code generator that allows us to properly display complex formatted text that originally is created as a Word docx file. As I noted in my original post, the complex formatted text from the Word file is then pasted into Design View and thus properly renders on the web page. I invite you to try this yourself. Simply copy my properly formatted text in my original post (that can be found at "Using Design View the web page rendered this way:") to a Word file, and it will retain the complex formatting, then copy that Word file text to both Design View and 2014.1 Live View files. Please apprise me of your results.
Discussion has been had in at least two separate threads on the Design View disappearance in Fluid Grid. In https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1597260 staff member Lalita wrote "It would be helpful for us if you list the issues you are seeing with fluid grid live view editing." And in https://forums.adobe.com/message/6807088#6807088 staff member Subhadeep wrote "If you can list down the workflows you are trying while editing in Live View & the issues you are facing in doing so, it will help us understand what is amiss & suggest alternative workflows to do the same." I believe I've pointed out issues when attempting to use Live View for functions or work flow that customarily had been done in Design View.
Being a CC subscriber, if someone can provide me with a workflow using other additional Adobe products to get my complex formatted text from Word ultimately to my Dreamweaver web page, be it an image insert or whatever, I would take the suggestions.
The difference in the coding of my example in my original post is as follows.
Code when using Design View is:

Research & Analytics Director
It is readily apparent that Design View is a much needed code generator in the Dreamweaver product. Live View serves completely other, and needed, purposes. Therefore, I still, after all the forum discussions, do not understand why Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid.
Again Hans thank you for your reply. But unless I'm missing something, citation to the links you provided does not solve my problem. And that problem is this: If Design View is on its way out and thus will be completely removed from Dreamweaver at some point, then how do I provide my information (i.e. complex executive job descriptions) on my website?
Apparently a vote is taking place https://forums.adobe.com/ideas/3922 on the issue of placing Design View back into Fluid Grid. I do not understand why the need for two rather disjunctive functionalities are at the mercy of the democratic process. These are matters of engineering principles not "town hall gatherings".

I am trying to set this map data using java code ,
HashMap procADMap1 = new HashMap(5);
PropertyTypeWS pType = new PropertyTypeWS();
pType.setTypeIndex(2);

appData1.setLOB(false);
appData1.setDefaultValue("Project Default value");
procADMap1.put(appData1.getName(), appData1);
setVariableData("request","createNs","/createNs/namespaceData/appdataDef",procADMap1);
Then I am passing request object to the method which I want to invoke from bpel process.
I am able to deploy the application but when I do post message I am getting following exception,
NamespaceWithMap (createNamespace) (faulted)

Is there any other way to handle Map type in bpel process?
Thanks in advance,
Sanjay

Thanks for the quick reply.Actually the web service is already deployed on the server.What I want to do is use existing wsdl file of the deployed web service and invoke the method of the same using oracle PM.
If I remove element which uses apachesoap:Map type it just works fine also I am getting the complex object returned by the web service method.But when I try to set appDataDef which is of type apachesoap:Map(Axis conversion for java.util.Map and it uses namespace xmlns:apachesoap="http://xml.apache.org/xml-soap") I am getting the error.
Can you give me some direction to use this exising wsdl file to set map object or it is not possible.

• Web Service Complex Datatypes

Does ColdFusion support nested complex data types when building Web Services? See example CFCs below. I keep getting a ServiceMethodNotFoundException. In my SubmitNoticeOfAppt.cfc, the cfargument data type is NoticeOfAppointment.CFC which references other CFCs that define complex data types. The complex types are needed to support a really complex XML document that must be NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) compliant. Originally tried passing the NIEM XML doument as a string, but receive deserialization errors, encounter child element. Could get around the error by wrapping the XML string in ... , but this convention is not NIEM compliant.

Coldfusion should be able to nest complex data types in your web service (after all, that's what the cfproperty tag was designed for). Unfortunately, I have more experience consuming complex web services than designing them in CF. My Recommendation - inspect your web service WSDL using a tool that will generate the sample SOAP XML that will be needed to consume your web service. You should be able to tell from that XML what the issue is - could be a missing namespace in your XML or strange nesting, etc.
We use SOAPSonar from Crosscheck networks - they have a feww personal version that will allow you to inspect your web service interface and it will even generate the sample XML needed to call it via SOAP.
Hope that helps.

• Some data is missing while returning complex datatype from a web service

Hi
I am returning a complex data type from a web service. complex data type has a super class and some(not all) values from this super class are not being returned to the client. Strange part is that it giving some fields from super class and some values are not returned.
I saw the soap response also it does not show any tag for those fields. but while creating a response i am setting some string values to those fields but i am not getting at client side.
all the serailiastion and deseialization classes where created using ANT tasks and i have checked that all the cedec classes have been created.

for what it's worth, the same problem was reported by one of our developers, although the string size was considerably smaller (probably less then 1 MB). According to him, soap clients generated from apache tools could connect fine and process the XML records. JDev hung. We simply changed our use case to return smaller results sets, but perhaps you could also generate your clients with WSDL2Java rather then JDev (if it is a truly a bug in JDev SOAP)? Can you add record parameters to the payload, in order to limit the results and scroll between remaining rows?

• Complex types returned from web services

I'm having problems getting values from a complex type from a

I have tried everything I know, which is not a lot I must

• Pl Help......Web services with complex types

Hi,
I have deployed a web service on OC4J (9.02) having a complex type input and a complex type return. The web service is implemented as a stateless session bean and
the relevant web.xml for the deployment is:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>ZipLookupManager</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>oracle.j2ee.ws.SessionBeanWebService</servlet-class>
<init-param>
<param-name>jndi-name</param-name>
<param-value>ZipLookupManagerBean</param-value>
</init-param>
<init-param>
<param-name>class-name</param-name>
<param-value>com.indus.banner.components.cdyne.ZipLookupManagerBean</param-va
lue>
</init-param>
<init-param>
<param-name>interface-name</param-name>
<param-value>com.indus.banner.components.cdyne.IZipLookupManager</param-value
>
</init-param>
<init-param>
<param-name>custom-bean-qname</param-name>
<param-value>
com.indus.banner.components.cdyne.LatLongReturn,
http://cdyne.components.banner.indus.com,
LatLongReturn,
org.apache.soap.encoding.soapenc.BeanSerializer,
org.apache.soap.encoding.soapenc.BeanSerializer
</param-value>
</init-param>
<init-param>
<param-name>custom-bean-qname</param-name>
<param-value>
com.indus.banner.components.cdyne.ZipState,
http://cdyne.components.banner.indus.com,
ZipState,
org.apache.soap.encoding.soapenc.BeanSerializer,
org.apache.soap.encoding.soapenc.BeanSerializer
</param-value>
</init-param>
</servlet>
The web service deploys correct. I have all the relevant jars in the %J2EE_HOME%\lib folder. However, when I call the web service from a standalone client I get the following error:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:

Please advise!

Hi all,
I haven't heard back from anyone. Is this forum alive still? I have entered a TAR on metalink on this issue but they say that apparently this was a defect under 9.02 and has been fixed under 9.04.
Please help.
Many thanks in advance.
