hi, i've got a question.
what is the effect of the compilation process in java language:
a) program
b) library
c) mediate file
d) ...........?
i think that program, but i'm confused. thanks for any advice

AFAIK java compilers produce .class files when you feed them your
,java source files. Those .class files can be loaded by the JVM when
needed.

Return to Vendor for Credit process - HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are trying to find what Oracle considers a best practice for the Return to Vendor for Credit process. I have heard some options but I would like the system to be able to track the returns and unissued credits. Any help would be appreciated.

It is possible to create delivery for non stock return PO item - I created one w/o any problem.
The shipping tab should be there for the PO item. If it is missing you won't get the delivery.
If the shipping tab is missing for non stock item but you get it for stock items (and everything is the same) then you should check e.g.:
- whether the sales view (for suitable sales area (plant sales area)) exists for the material
- whether fields on sales view are maintained properly (loading group, item category group)
- whether item category determination for the return delivery is maintained (T184L) in relation to the itme category group in material master

BPM process help

Hi All,
I have a scenario to send six independent customized idocs which has the same structure. I am planning to use one BPM for the six idocs. When I put six receive blocks, i am forced to give correlation for each. I am not sure what kind of correlation can I give bcoz, each idoc is independent of other(ie,there is no correlation). Is it possible to send six idocs thru XI using one BPM?

Hi Deno,
1) The fork will not complete until u receive all the 6 IDoc's. But u told initially that the 6 IDocs are independent of each other. So u should not use a fork in this case.
Moreover u cannot put all the receive steps in a sequence ( u can use this type only when the messages are independent of eachother, since the process will not get started until u get the message ( Rx step with a tick mark "start process", that will trigger the BPM.
So after analyzing you scenario, i suggest you to have 6 different BPM's if the 6 IDoc's are independent.
So in your scenario, u will have 6 BPM's corresponding to each IDoc.
Corresponding to them you will have 6 receiver determinations and route them to the corresponding BPM's.
In a BPM u will have a
1) Rx step -- Rx IDOc
2) Transform -- Trasnsform IDOc into required message Type
3) send step -- Send the Message.
then u need to create 6

Retail Inter company Consignment process-Help

Hi Everybody,
We need to implement the Inter Company Consignment Processs Between DC & Store since they belong to different company codes. The Process would be Consignment articles will be received from Vendor to DC >; then Intercompany Consignment PO from DC To Store >,Outbound delivery > Goods issue from DC > GR at Store > Sale from Store .
Need help for setting this up so that settlement works correctly -
1) What way it should be configured or processes should be followed so that Vendor Consignmnet stock is available in Store under the same Consignment vendor no through which DC procures consignment.
In our current prototye when the Stocks are being issue against Inter company Consignment PO from DC to Store & received at Store ,consignment stocks are posted under vendor no (DC) . Now how the consignment settlement work in this case as we would like to settle against the external vendor from whom DC procured consignment articles?
Are we doing correctly ? Or what should be the correct process ( config & relevent data) to support the Intercompany Consignment process ? We have maintained the other setting with reference to stock determination, article master settings etc.
Any help on this will be highly rewared as its the critical need of business,.
Pls share useful guidance to support the Intercompany Consignment process & settlement through sale at store .
WE also need to make the return process from store > DC > Vendor for customer return of consignment articles.
Pls share your experience or guidance on this....will be rewarded..

Batch Image Loading & Processing Help!

I am a Retoucher and I have a new client that sends me 150 - 200 Real Estate photos per day. They shoot the photos so that I have 1 ambient exposure (Background Layer) and 1 flash exposure (Layer 1) which I then blend together with a recipe I designed for their look. I need to find a way to speed up the processing and although my action executes the look exactly how I need it in a very efficient manner the real time killer is the opening & layering steps.
I know this a long shot but my ideal solution would be to drag the folder of images which are sorted and/or labelled in the correct order in to a droplet and from there it processes the images one at a time but layering the files (ambient as "Background" and flash as "Layer 1"), running the action, has a stop-action on lens correction, asks me where to save, closes the image and continues to the next image.
Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've searched for countless hours and can't seem to find a solution.

Objective Setting processes help

Hi
When an employee forgets to complete his objective setting process ,then how he can re start the setting process !
What i thought was we can check the allow outside these dates while setting up objective setting process.But what happens for all the employees who has set their objectives already !
How we can set a dead line if allow the dates are allowed outside the period !!
How can we restric these activity only for the employees who hasn't initiated their process !
If we publish again this template ,then it would be notified to teh employees who has completed thier objective setting process !
what could be the best way to attain this scenario !! Can we allow objective Setting process out side the period dates ? If we do so how we can restrict the objective setting process to a perticular date !!!
If we republish the objective again which would allow the employees who has already completed the objectives.But anyway it would go for the approval to the manager !! cause it would be burdenfull activity for the manager to check and approve !! Is there a way to restrict this !! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated !!!

This is an area that causes a lot of problems!
To allow people to set objectives when they have missed the deadline, you have to extend the objective setting period. But, you can only do this if the appraisal task period is not open. So if you had objective setting 01/01/09 - 28/02/09, then appraisals 01/03/09 - 31/03/09, you could only reset the objective setting period to after 31/03/09.
I would have thought that resetting the score cards would reopen the objective setting tasks for all, but the other rules about what stage the objective setting is at would also apply. For example, if the employee had set the objectives and transferred them to the manager then that is the status still after the period is reopened.
However, there was a well documented bug about this. Rather than regurgitate the details here, take a look at MetaLink article *564305.1* entitled Modify Published Performance Management Plans and Extend the Objective Setting Deadline. It explains about a problem with the mass appraisal generation program which caused objectives to be lost!
Hope that helps, but you'll find that there are so many variables involved in this process that there can be many different answers to the question.

After customizing the direct material, there are additional steps necessary:

TRYING TO BURN A DVD FOR BACK UP PROCESS HELP

I ripped a DVD to my hard drive for back up use, but I accidently clicked on data and when I put it in the DVD player it said disk error, is this because I was suppose to click on copy (i use toast 7) instead of data? please, I need help.

if the dvd spat giving you an error, then it won't work on a dvd player (i assume it's a movie?)
in that case you should get a new blank dvd and start the copy process again, this time clicking on Copy.
that should work
HINT: when working with copy for dvds in particular, make sure that "buffer under-run prevention is selected in the "advanced" dialog (there should be General, Advanced and then another tab which is the name of your dvd burner)

Upconvert Process help

I am creating a documentary that was shot primarily in HDV (which I am bringing in Analog as 8 bit uncompressed), but there is a substantial amount of DV footage that I need to upconvert into a 1080i sequence at 29.97.
I have a Mac Pro quad 3.0 with 4 gigs of Ram running FCP 5.1.2. on a Kona LHe card.
Here is what I have done so far... after looking around in the forum and following lots of advice and tutorials put out there I found that the best results for me were to take the footage, digitize it as 525 8 bit uncompressed (analog via component) then de-interlace it using a JES de-interlacer then putting it into compressor and using the advanced presets to upconvert it to 1080i, setting best motion, and best across the board. This is a long process as well.
What I get is a pretty good image, but when the action is fast I get a lot of interlacing as one previous poster referred to as 'ghosting'.
A lot of the footage is action sports footage and needs to be substantiallly slo-mo'd. When it is, I get a ton of the interlacing and some jumpy motion. I also lose a little of the vibrancy because in the de-interlace process I am essentially removing the lower fiield.
Is this the best way to do this? I know any upconvert isn't going to be grand but I would love to get rid of as much interlacing and jumpiness as possible (and maybe speed up the process. Unfortunately I am not in the position to afford a Teranex Mini. Though I have thought that I might try out the Digital Anarchy re-sizer to see if that might help any, though it looks sort of like the compressor quality.
I would love any input anyone has. Is there a way to maybe dub the tapes over as HD? Maybe that's a way to go.

Composite design process - help!

Can anybody offer some guidance (any guidance). I have created several classes that I need to have communicate with each other. Therefore I created one called sessionData to kind of keep track of which class is doing what but it is not working. I get errors all over the place. Currently I have a JDesktopPane which has internal frames. Some of these internalframes call and make more internal frames. (as it is right now, they are created inside the new Internalframe) I need them to be created in the JDesktopPane instead. That is why I have the sessionData class. Any ideas? or point me to some code that already works. Or just answer, how do I instantiate ea. session in ea class?

I don't know if you want to use a session object. Session objects are an example of the Visitor pattern and have there advantages and disadvantages. Most of Swing uses an event notification process which is an example of the Observer pattern. You may want to read the sections in the design patterns book (Erich Gamma, et al) before deciding which will better serve your application. Most Swing apps I have worked on have used events.
You mentioned that you wanted your sessionData object to keep track of which class was doing what. That is kind of web programmers trick brought about because you have to keep track of what is happening on the client so you can respond appropriately. In Swing (or any other fat client), you can just wait for an event to happen and then deal with it appropriately. Much cleaner and elegant. Events are more object-oriented also because each class is more self contained. Your class doesn't care what someone else is doing, it only cares when someone sends an event to it.
As for your problem with JDesktopPane:
I don't understand what you are getting at. You have a JDesktopPane and you add a JInternalFrame to it, correct? Then something happens and you need to create a new JInternalFrame. You should add the second internal frame to the desktop pane not the first internal frame.
Here is a little example of what I am talking about. Say you have a little app that is opening files up and displaying them in a JInternalFrame. You might create an interface called FileListener that looks like this:

}The class which holds your JDesktopPane would then implement that interface and would create a new internal frame and add it to the desktop pane everytime the openFile method was called.

Intialization process help needed

Dear all,
I am trying to create an intialization process and I have stumbled upon an error which confuses me.
The scenario is to distribute business partners between B1 2007 A instances.
The B1iSN version is PL13.
Here is what I tried.
- I created a new scenario through Graphical Scenario Design.
- I modified (through Graphical Scenario Design) the newly created scenario to change ProcessType to "S" and to Classification="I".
- I manually modified the BizPackageMETA.xml to set isLastStep and isMandatory to "yes" for UIStep 5 in UIStepList.
- I created and activated an Initialization process in SAP B1iSN Admin Console.
- After clicking on Initial Load button I received the following error:

If the XSL file was wrong, I believe I would get a message in the Message Log in SAP B1iSN Admin Console, but I don't get any messages in the Message Log.
