Component Hierarchy RSA9 and DataSources RSA5

Hi Gurus,
I'm a little confused about configuration of source system...
In development ERP I have activated Component Hierarchy using RSA9 and also installed Business Content Extractors - RSA5 - All works fine.
But Now I want to transfer this settings to the Quality Assurance ERP system and I do not know how... ?
When transferring component hierarchy and installing datasource in dev system didn't ask me about transport request, I did not defined any requests for this operations... how can I transfer now all this settings to the other QA system??
Looking forward for reply.
I don't hesitate adding points

I called the RSA9 again  - system asked "Transfer Component Hierarchy" i clicked "YES" and message appeared "The application component hierarchy was transferred from the Content". There was no chance to defined transport request.
I rsa6 i have choosen exactly one datasource and then the button "Object directory". Window appeared with the package name and I pushed the button "Save" and also no chance to define TR. The window just disapeared

  • Updates to NW Java Component Hierarchy in Service Marketplace

    Dear Forum Members,
    In SAP Active Global Support, we are underway with a project to simplify the component selection process for our customers. From our analysis of customer feedback and usability studies, we have found that customers have difficulty in navigating through the component hierarchy tree, and as such, often end up choosing incorrect components. We will therefore be reducing the number of NW Java components visible to customers.
    Goal
    Based on an analysis of incoming message volume, 112 components have been selected for hiding because of a lack of usage, or because they could be easily absorbed by other areas or parent components. see the list below which shows the components which will be hidden.
    Benefit
    The reduction of components will assist us in Support as less component granularity leads to swifter and easier dispatching. Secondly, the reduction will pay dividends on the SMP Message Wizard as fewer components being proposed to the customer in the SMP means easier component selection and increased satisfaction.
    We plan to introduce component hiding from Thursday, the 26th of January 2012.
    The affected components which will be removed from the SMP Message Wizard list are listed in [this Wiki page|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/-Ia1Dw].
    Furthermore, we will use this thread and the mentioned [Wiki page|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/-Ia1Dw] to inform you, our customers, of any updates to the NW Java component hierarchy as and when we have such details.
    Please feel free to post any comments or queries related to this topic and we will respond at our earliest convenience.
    Kind Regards,
    SAP NW Java Moderators

    Hi Gurus,
    We have recently installed SAP R/3 for BW. when i get in to RSA5 i am getting error message "no valid application component hierarchy exists" .  Do i need to do any settings here. When click enter later on, i can see all the data sources under new_hier_root.
    And under new_hier_root i have unassinged notes
    New_Hier_root -> unassigned notes -> application components.
    Thanks in Advance,

    Jameel,
    first we need to transfer application hierarchy.
    try this one SBIW>Business Content DS>Transfer Application Component Hierarchy or RSA9.
    Hope this help.

  • Unable to view complete Application Component Hierarchy.( Its Urgent)

    Hi,
      While creating Datasources with RSO2, I am selecting Application components, In the Application Component Hierarchy, I am unable to view the complete Hierarchy, ie subtrees are not available .
        Say Under PA-> PA-PA-IO is visible . ie All  subtrees are missing  under this application component, Including transaction data sources  under PA   and also Master Datasources  under PA-PA-IO. Like this all subtrees under  each application components are not visible.
        I have checked the Datasources delivered by SAP ie using RSA5 . Here all Application components are available including subtrees.
      I  have tried with RSA9 tried to transfer the Application component hierarchy but invain.
      Please help me in this regard. Its very Urgent.
    Thanks,

    I 've activated appln comp hier from sbiw,n activated datasourses as well in R/3
    when i want replicate data sourses in BI, there is no appln comp hier in BI
    if i double click on sourse system in rsa1,it should display data sourse tree,but this is not happening,
    My ques is whatis the problem, do i need to check any other settings,
    please provide me right solution,

    Note: i "ve searched the forum but i could not get the right ans for my prblm
    Thanks n Regards
    Gagan

    Use the transaction code RSA9 in R/3 inorder to transfer application component hierarchy this step needs to perform first.
    Use tcode RSA5 to activate the data sources then do the set up necessary in r/3 and after wards replicate.
    check this link

  • Application component Hierarchy Transfer from Dev to QA

    HI,
    We need to transport the application Component Hierarchy from r/3 dev to r/3 qa .
    when we select the datasources and click the transport button it does not show up a transport request.
    when i tried to run RSA9 transaction in r/3qa it does not get executed and says " no changes allowed" as the system is locked . Our r/3 qa is locked so that no changes are allowed in the system as testing is under progress. our application component hierarchy looks blank with no data sources .
    Is there any work around so that i can transfer the application component hierarchy in r/3 qa so that i can replicate the datasources on the bw side or should we open the client and run the RSA9 transaction so that the application component hierarchy is visble and replication can be done on the bw side.
    I can only transfer Data sources from Dev to QA. Since I am not able to transfer the "Application component hierarchy"  I cann't replicate the Data Sources into BW.
    Thanks in advance for your advise.
    Regards,
    Mani

    I believe the problem is that your app comp hier is not assigned to a package.  You need to change this from $TMP to some other package.  You can do this using the transport organizer tools transaction SE03(Change Obj Directory Entries).  The object type is dsaa.  If you search RSA9 in OSS I think you'll find some mention of this.
    good Luck

  • Missing Application Component Hierarchy for source system

    Hi
    I have a problem I hope you can help me with.
    We have created a sandbox as a copy of an existing APO/BW production system. On this system we have created 2 source systems: 1) R/3, 2) The system itself (EAX).
    The R/3 source system seems to work fine, but there is a problem with EAX. First time i opened the system I was met with the message "Application component hierarchy does not exist, Create?". Nothing happened when choosing create.
    After reading through similar topics on this forum, I went into RSA6. The view in here is similar to that on production, so I saved and tried again. Now it does come up with a tree, but it only has one node (NEW_HIER_ROOT(No Text Found)) and no datasources.
    I then tried to transport the Application component hierarchy" from the production system. That didn't solve it either (still looks the same).
    Does anyone know how to fix this? It would be much appreciated.
    Br Karsten

    Dear Karsten, Use transaction RSA9 for transfering appln. component hierarchy in source system.
    let me know if you have any issue.

  • How to transport Application Component Hierarchy of source system

    Hi,
    Our BW pulls data from CRM.
    In CRM Development, all content/generic datasources are placed under specific nodes in Application Hierarchy which I can see in RSA6.
    But all these datasources exist under NODESNOTCONNECTED node in CRM-Quality !!! How can I transport application component hierarchy ??
    Any idea?
    Regards,
    Vikrant.

    If your application component hierarchy is assigned to local object then first you need to change the package.
    Go to TCode: SE03
    For Object Type Selection use: DSAA
    Object: APCO
    Now change object directory from $TMP to the one being used in your porject.
    Also check OSS notes:
    542454
    382471
    For changing the paackage:
    Go to TCode: SE03
    Select option Change Object Directory entries (Under Folder Object Directory)
    In the next screen you box Selection by Object you look for the 1st emptly line
    Or you can also click on create object directory button
    In the Object type box (Small box for 4 chars) type in DSAA or you can also do F4 and find it..
    Then in the box next to it you put in the Object Name
    In this case it should be APCO (if this does not work try apco_merged)
    Select it and hit execute...
    OR
    try se09 - choose workbench request - cursor position on request, menu - request/task->object list->include object->freely selected objects
    under 'selection by type and name' choose 'selected', mark the checkbox on last blank line, and give 'dsaa' and *
    in next screen, cursor on 'apco' and click icon 'in request' (include in request), do the same for 'apco_merged'.
    release the request and transport.

  • Can we dynamically modify the Component Hierarchy?

    Is it possible to modify the component hierarchy in JSF when making an Ajax call to the server for information?
    I am interested in using Ajax with JSF to update the UI incrementally as needed.
    As an example, imagine a phone book which starts with a list of names. When one clicks on a name, Ajax is used to get the data for that name (i.e., address, phone numbers, etc), and the data is then returned to the client and inserted into the DOM in the client browser under the approprtiate user. This information could be editable. Clearly, as part of this process, I would like the component hierarchy in JSF updated with the new data, also.
    I konw that we could do a complete postback of the entire page plus the new data, and then diff it out on the client (as per the methods outlined by Jacobi and Fallows in Pro JSF and Ajax: Building Rich Internet Components). However, I am wondering if it is possible to update the Component Hierarchy with the new components associated with the new data during the Ajax call, so that we can focus our Ajax request on the needed data only, rather than having to regenerate the entire page.

    Hi wua22,
    For my case, I found that if an attribute called "userPassword" is added in the Schema Manager, after running the above codes which I quoted, it seems that nothing changes since next time when you log on, it can only be authenticated using the old password. However, in this case, actually, the change was made in the ADDED attribute, "userPassword". You'll find where the change made if you have the admin right to check the properties of the users' account using ConsoleOne (or similar tools).
    In addtion, for the exception I encountered in my case, I found that everythings go normally if that ADDED attribute "userPassword" is deleted. So, this time, it's the setting in my LDAP server which caused the problem, but not the programming error.
    BTW, someone suggested that using UnicodePwd attribute, instead of the userPassword for updating one's password. This UnicodePwd attribute is unicode converted. I've not tried on that actually, but will at a later time.
    Hope that helps to you.

    Mercury

  • Allocation of Info sources to Application Component Hierarchy

    Hi Friends,
    I have to allocate Info sources zo other nodes of application component hierarchy as they are allocated now.
    Is there a way to do this benath 'Drag and Drop' in RSA1 ?
    Or can someone tell me the name of the table where this relation is stored ?
    Thanks and regards
    Joe

    Hi,
    U just drag and drop the required ISs to the rquired application component hierarchy. I have no idea about the Table where it maintains the relation between the ISs and the application componet hierarchies.
    Hope this helps u....

  • How do I pass an event up the component hierarchy?

    I have a child component which has a mouse listener and a parent component with a mouse listener. However the child component consumes all the mouse events so the parent doesn't get them.
    Is there a way for a child component to receive mouse events, then decided to pass them back up the component hierarchy so the parent can still receive them too?
    I've spent the last two hours on Google and can't seem to find anything relevant.
    Cheers, Eric

    Unfortunately, you cannot
    override this method since it ispackage-private.
    That was wrong of mine. Package-private members are
    visible to subclasses too (the package access is a
    complete superset of protected access). So you CAN
    override dispatchEventImpl and do your stuff there.
    When I try that the compiler gives me the following warning
    The method SheetElementPlacementComponent.dispatchEventImpl(AWTEvent) does not override the inherited method from Container since it is private to a different package.
    It lets me define the method, but does not let me override it.
    I just wonder why they made dispatchEvent() final,
    when it just calls dispatchEventImpl(), and it is
    not final...
    Another useful method is Component.enableEvents()
    and disableEvents() (which are both protected). You
    can use them to modify the so called event mask of a
    component, which is used to signify which events a
    Component is interested in. Disabled events (= not
    on the event mask) are not delivered to the
    component and the dispatcher skips it, looking for
    parent components which have enabled the event. For
    example, if you have a JButton in a scroll pane and
    you scroll the mouse wheel on the button, the event
    is dispatched to the scroll pane, even though it
    occurs over the surface of the button. That's
    because a button is not interested in mouse wheel
    events.
    You can use that hack the following way: In the
    mouse listener for your child component, after you
    have done your work, disable mouse events for the
    component and then post the event again (invoke
    dispatchEvent(theEvent)). That way, the event should
    be delivered to the closest parent that is
    interested in mouse events. This is done
    synchronously, so after all listeners for the parent
    components have finished, the dispatchEvent() method
    returns in your listener for the child component.
    Then you re-enable mouse events on the child
    component in order to receive the next mouse event.
    I don't know if this works or if it has any side
    effects, but it's worth a try...I can't call dispatchEvent() because it creates an infinite loop resulting in a stack overflow. It tried calling((JComponent) getParent()).dispatchEvent(e); but this does not help either, the parent never gets the event.
    Hope this helps you more :).
    Greets,
    MikeSorry, I still can't find a way around it other than to redesign my UI.
    FYI I created a bug report and Sun have assigned it Bug Id: 6571453. Everyone please vote on this if you think it's a cool feature request.

  • Illegal component hierarchy detected

    Any ideas on what to look for to fix that issue:
    <MenuBarRenderer> <encodeAll> illegal component hierarchy detected
    <HtmlResponseWriter> <endElement> Element End name:div does not match start name:tr
    <HtmlResponseWriter> <endElement> Element End name:div does not match start name:tbody

    <HtmlResponseWriter> <endElement> Element End name:body does not match start name:div
    <HtmlResponseWriter> <endElement> Element End name:html does not match start name:div
    My page rendering is messed up but I don't know why JDev 11gR2

    I found out what's causing the issue. I have a Common workspace where I defined a page template with a menu:
            <af:gridRow marginTop="6px" marginBottom="15px" height="auto" id="menuGridRow">
                <af:gridCell marginStart="5px" marginEnd="5px" width="100%" id="pt_gc3"
                             inlineStyle="background-color:#9D1A1A;">
                    <af:menuBar id="menuBar" value="#{root_menu}" var="item" binding="#{components.menuBar}">
                        <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
                            <af:commandNavigationItem text="#{item.label}" action="#{item.doAction}" id="cni1"
                                                      rendered="#{item.rendered}" disabled="#{item.disabled}"></af:commandNavigationItem>
                        </f:facet>
                    </af:menuBar>
                </af:gridCell>
            </af:gridRow>
    The issue comes from the binding attribute, if I remove it I have no rendering issue. Let me explain what I want to do and how I did it, I am sure I did it wrong:
    I want to get the reference to the menuBar so I can refresh it programmatically. I have an applet that calls a Javascript function which calls the refreshMenu in the managed bean.
        private void refreshMenu() {
            FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
            RichMenuBar menuBar =
                (RichMenuBar)context.getApplication().evaluateExpressionGet(context, "#{components.menuBar}",
                                                                            RichMenuBar.class);
            AdfFacesContext adfFacesContext = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
            adfFacesContext.addPartialTarget(menuBar);
    The components is defined in faces-config.xml:
        <managed-bean>
            <description>Holder of all component bindings.</description>
            <managed-bean-name>components</managed-bean-name>
            <managed-bean-class>java.util.HashMap</managed-bean-class>
            <managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope>
        </managed-bean>
    I also have another workspace that depends on that Common workspace. This is in that workspace that the rendered page based on the Common template is messed up.

  • WebI issue with hierarchy display and aggregation

    Trying to wrangle what looks like a defect in WebI's handling of hierarchy display and aggregation. We just completed an update cycle and are running BOBJ 4.1 SP4.
    The hierarchy is a standard FM Commitment Item hierarchy in which both the nodes and leaves are Commitment Items (i.e. it uses InfoObject nodes, not text nodes). An example of one of these nodes looks like this in BW:
    Cmmt_Item A - Node
        Cmmt_Item B - Leaf
        Cmmt_Item C - Leaf
    Let's pretend Commitment Item A has $50 posted to it, B has $20 and C has $30. Analysis for OLAP handles this by adding a virtual leaf line to distinguish postings that are on the parent node like so:
    Cmmt_Item A - Node       $100
        Cmmt_Item A - Leaf    $50
        Cmmt_Item B - Leaf    $20
        Cmmt_Item C - Leaf    $30
    So you see both the total for the node ($100) and a line for each Commitment Items with KFs posted to them. Our users like this. They can easily see the aggregation and the breakdown.
    WebI, on the other hand, will display it like this:
    Cmmt_Item A - Node       $150
        Cmmt_Item B - Leaf    $20
        Cmmt_Item C - Leaf    $30
    It doesn't create a separate line for the value of the parent node, but it does add it's value into the aggregate. Twice. Modifying the table with the 'avoid duplicate row aggregation' checkbox yields output like this:
    Cmmt_Item A - Node       $100
    Cmmt_Item A - Node        $50
        Cmmt_Item B - Leaf    $20
        Cmmt_Item C - Leaf    $30
    We're about halfway there. While the top row now shows the correct aggregation and it creates a new line to show the distinct amount on the parent node, that new line appears on the same level as the parent. It's no longer clear that there's an aggregate and a breakdown. And attempting to expand or contract a node will now crash the report with one of those 'Error 16' messages.
    Has anyone encountered this issue with hierarchies in WebI? This report was built from scratch in 4.1, so I'm not sure if this affects older versions or not. Or if it would affect any hierarchy that uses InfoObject nodes instead of text nodes.

    Without a fix, the simplest workaround I can think of would be to restructure the hierarchy. It can't use postable nodes, so Cmmt_Item A  - Node from my example would need to be converted into a text node and the postable characteristic added as a child on the same level as the B and C leaves.
    This looks like it would affect anyone using hierarchies with postable nodes in a WebI report.
    Another oddity in WebI's behavior here - even though the postable nodes show incorrect sums the sum at the root node is correct. So extending my examples from the original post:
    Root Node                    $100
        Cmmt_Item A - Node       $150
            Cmmt_Item B - Leaf    $20
            Cmmt_Item C - Leaf    $30
