Component monitoring 403 fornidden error

Hi ,
In the runtime workbench when i try to send a test message from component monitoring with my user account i get a 403 forbidden error . But when i use other user credentials it goes through and other users doesn't have this problem. So i suspect that its some issue with my privileges or something, How can i debug this issue.
Thank you

Hi Sudheer
error code 403 stands for  Forbidden
This code indicates that the resource cannot be accessed, regardless of any authentication credentials. For example, this happens if a directory or file is unreadable due to file permissions.
for more details on error code follow the link
http://www.web-cache.com/Writings/http-status-codes.html
Check whether you have given the right credentials. If you are very sure that you have given right credentials then your problem will be solved by restarting J2EE engine
steps to restart J2EE engine
1) run transaction SMICM
2) then in the tab administration => J2EE instance(local) =>send soft shutdown with restart
by this java engine will restart and will be up in 5-10 minutes and your problem will be solved

  • Component monitoring - adapter engine error, but no channel in error actual

    Hi,
We have a problem in displaying a status of Adapter Engine in RWB. In component monitoring there's a red light and the status - "Are communication channels without errors?" says there's an communication channel in error. But when I click the Communication channel monitoring, everything's green there. Yes, there was an error before, but it's ok now. Why is the AE item in Component monitoring still red? How to make it to reflect the current status?
    Thank you,
    Olian

    Hi Olian,
i am saying to use the cache connectivity test button option from RWB -> compnent monitoring , so have you done cache test using this? if yes, click on refresh display to see the latest adapter engine status..............if it is green, then it is okay..............but if it is red here, it means some comm channel is erroring sometimes - i guess it can be a file adapter using ftp or some rfc adapter......................
if it is green here and compnent monitoring - adapter engine status is red because some comm channel errored in past.........then i think some cache is not getting refreshed - i do not know exactly how to rectify it...........but i can tell you some workaround for it..............the comm channel which was erroring just stop it from comm channel monitoring........then close RWB and again open it and see compnent monitoring - adapter engine status again in it - i think it should be green now.......or  try by changing any comm channel description data in ID and save and activate it.........then again check your compnent monitoring - adapter engine status..................but dont worry i think this is a temporary problem

    Hi,
it can be for some system configured on http destination or the sld system configured for this server.
take a look at tx sxmb_adm for the http destination to discover witch destination is been used. then, on sm59, find the server that is been called for this http destination and check on that server if this user is ok there.
to check sld, go to tx sld_apicust discover witch is the sld system configured for this server. After log on to sld system and check the user.
Maybe the user is ok on the destination system, so, check the password on sm59 (if the problem is with an http dest) or sld_apicust (if the problem is the connection to sld).

    Hi,
This solved this issue for me:
    Setting Maximum Database Connections
Perform this step only if you want to check or change the values.
           1.      Open the Visual Administrator tool.
    ○       j2ee admingo.bat if you also use SAP WAS ABAP.
           2.      Log on as an administrator.
           3.      Choose Server ® Services ® JDBC Connector.
           4.      Choose the Properties tab strip and select sysDS.maximumConnections.

    hi friend
If you have created the TS & BS correctly in SLD
    check the following points:
1)The JCO service might have been down...check it out....Sometimes it happens due to overloading of server...try to restart the server.....after clearing queue and cache  restarting the server
    2)check the RFC destinations AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER, AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER.

  • Error in RuntimeWorkBench - component monitoring- AdapterEngine

    Hi SapAll.
here i just want to test a Idoc To File Scenario but i dont have Idoc at sender side to trigger,so i just created a test data with all the required data in ESR(Message map, ping) and copied the test data from Message mapping and pasted into RuntimeWorkBench ->component monitoring->AdapterEngine ->test message (tab) by filling all the required fileds(       Sender Component: *,      Receiver Component:,Interface:Interface Namespace:,User,Password.
but when i tested by filling with all the above mentioned fields i have got an error as below
Error While Sending Message: Additional error text from response: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.ConfigException: ConfigException in XI protocol handler. can any body help on what the above  error mean.
will be waiting for quick answer.
    regards.

    Hi Varma,
I hope you have tested the configuration in the ID through test configuration table with the same test data.
try making some dummy changes in the Receiver and sender  agreement and see if correct channel is assigned,
try restarting the channel. Please do a CPA cache refresh.
can you try checking the option use  virtual receivers in  sender or receiver agreement  and don't give any values there ,just select that check box and save.
I remember once it did the trick for me.don't know if it applies to your scenario.

KM Admin -> KM Component Monitor -> Repository Managers the pcdrepository light is red.

    Hi Rick,
this is a known issue in SPS14. Please edit the PCD Repository Manager configuration. You'll have to change the Parameter "Property Search Manager" to "Not set" and restart the J2EE Engine.

  • File System repository error in component monitor

    Hi,
I created a file system repository in our portal server which will connect to windows file system and display the folder structure.
I created a File system repository manager with the following properties mentioned below
Prefix (must start with /): /FMICDelaers
    Lookup mode: caseless
    Root Directory:
    fendercorp\FMICDelaers
    Repository Services:
    Property Search Manager:
    Security Manager: W2kSecurityManager
    ACL Manager Cache:ca_rsrc_acl
    Windows Landscape System: B2B_Windows
I have given full acees to everyone for FMICDealers folder on fendercorp server.
We have created a networkpath called B2B_windows as mentioned below
    jCIFS Protocol: yes
    Description:
    Network Path:
    fendercorp\FMICDelaers
    Password:xxxxx
    User: insidefender\ssayneni
When i am checking the repository in component monitor i am getting the below error
Startup Error:  The localroot does not exist: /usr/sap/EPD/JC61/j2ee/cluster/server0/
    fendercorp\FMICDealers

    Hi
A general recommendation would be to use small letters in all ID's regardring network drives, repositories etc. See https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/002fb447-d670-2910-67a5-bfbbf0bb287d for advice on how to optimize performance of KM.
Other than that, you could check the documentation mentioned here:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/message?messageID=6398301#6398301
It seems as the root directory in your File System Repository Manager is not defined correctly. It should be forward slash instead of backslash.
Go through the settings again and see if the startup error changes or disappears. The startup error indecated that it is a configuration error.
    Best regards,
    Martin Søgaard
