Component Overview goes blank in Production Order

Hi,
All of a sudden the component over view in production orders goes blank after release. Have to read PP master data again/do material availability check. The components come back again just fine. Why does this happen? The production orders are converted from planned orders.
Thanks!

Dear Bilal,
While converting planned order to production order based on BOM / Routing validity system will capture the components in the production order component overview
if the BOM is not valid on the production order start date then system will not capture the components
then you have to ensure the validity of BOM through CS03 after that you have do the read PP Master data by putting the validity date as per BOM then system will capture the components same thing will happen for Routing case also
please add reward points if this thread is useful

Venkatesh..

  • How can read BOM component date before save the production order??

    Hi Experts,
In our company, we need to develop a program to read the BOM component data of the production order
before we save the production order.
That for example ,when we create and release a production order , before we save the production
order,we want a porgram to read the BOM component data. If some component data can meet our
requriement (may be if there is material requirement quantity>100 EA),then the system will pop up a
small dialog box to remind us.
There is user exit PPCO0007 and PPCO0007.But it seems they only can read the head data of the
production order before we save the production order. And the BOM component data of the production
order are saved in the RESB(Reservation Table). So if we do not save the production order, all the BOM
component data are not saved in the RESB table.
So how can slove the problem??
How can read component date before save the production order??
Are there any other user exit we can use???

Hi Just wanted to check am I right that you are trying to check if you have enough Materials Available before you release or Save the order right ? if this is your business objective then when you create order you have material availability tab which checks and gives error if shortage is there. Please let me know if is this wht you asking for ?

  • Not able to see material and operation overview as tab in production order

    Hello Friends,
While creating the production order by T.C CO01, after giving the material code , production plant and order type, system took me inside it.There i am not able to see component overview, operation overview as tab.Whereas in menu option Goto - overview - component , i can see there. But i want this things as tab in screen where we give qty and dates.
So guys do you know where to do configuration for it.
    Thanking you guys in ad

    Dear Jitendra,
In Production Order you will find Component and Operation screen under two different icons (not tab) production Header screen.
    - For Component Overview it is something like Balance or on pressing F6 you will branch to Component overview Screen. You will find it just after Hat icon
    - And for Operation over view it looks like ladder or on pressing F5 you will branch directly to operation screen.you will find this icon just after Component overview Icon.

  • Component Qty round off in production order

    Dear all Hi,
I have a ROH material maintained as TON in MM. For calculating the qty required of this component i have maintained the formula in BOM as X factor multiplied with Y factor & divided by 1000 to get the output componenet qty in ton.
Though the system is calculating & displaying the qty in in ton with three decimals but the problem is that system is not giving the EXACT first three digits after decimal.
    Example:
(16.08x0.22/1000x49 = 0.173 this should be the output in production order but it is displaying as 0.196
Kindly suggest a solution that system should display the actual first three didgits after decimal as it is.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shaiz,
Check is there any Component scrap is maintain in BOM or Material Master.
I think there is 10 to 15 % component scrap is maintain either it is in BOM or in Material Master (MRP 4)

  • Purchase Req on Component Overview

    Hi All,
I am having a doubt in product order component overview screen, could you please explain the same will be grateful.
I have a production order for Finished Material (FERT) # A10101010 and it has bill of materials (Externally Procured) # B20202020 and # C30303030. In the Component Overview screen, if you drag the screen RIGHT side you can see a CHECK BOX for (Indicator: Purchase order exists) and column for (Purchase requisition number) just after Requirements date for the component column.
    Here is my question:
Bill of materials # B20202020 and # C30303030 for my production orders are EXTERNALLY PROCURED and it has Purchase Requisition exist even though its not displayed in the component overview screen.
    Could you please explain:
Why Purchase Requisition number is not showing in the component overview?
What are the entire necessary steps do I need to do to get the Purchase Requisition Number on the component overview screen.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hello Friend,
The Purchase Requisition field in component overview screen of process/production order is for externally processed operations/ non stock items procured externally  and not for the externally procured materials which are stock items.
The reason behind it is that for non stock materials/externally processed operations system creates the purchase requisiton for each production order/ process orders and which gets directly consumed to the orders.
I hope above explained details were sufficient to explain. In case of any other doubts related to it, kindly let me know.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Storage Location in Production Order Component Overview

    Hi All,
When creating a Production Order using CO0, the Component Overview will list out the corresponding BOM for the Finished Good.  We have defined a number of plants and storage locations.  I see here that the plant and storage location is automatically determined in the components overview.  I would like to set defaults for these, may I ask where in SPRO is this configured?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello
Storage location in production order is pre-setting in bom component level/and MPR2 view,
First priority is Bom Component level, i will transfer Production order only this BOM if maintianed here.
second priorty is Material master date in MRP2 view, it will effected all components and all bom which used this components.

  • Functional module for component overview screen in production order

    Hi All,
    My requirement is,
If I am replacing component in BOM then same I need to replaced in existing production ordder. My input will be old item code(BOM component), new item code, plant, production order(If I do not give prdn order as input then system have to find out all possible enteriesl), order status.
Can you tell me any functional module or any logic which can serve this purpose. Here I am having two requirements,
    1. To find out all possible production orders in which old item is used
    2. To replace old item by new item

    Dear Chetan,
if QM recoeding & UD has not taken place, then
    1) Cancle the GR, Confirmation & GI of orders (if Auto GI & GR is activated)
    2) if both are activated, then just cancle the order in CO13
    3) then Go for READ PP MASTER DATA, it will work for You

  • Fetching open component qty against production order

    Hi
The requirement is to fetch component 'open quantity' for a production order. [ Open quantity = requirement - withdrawn qty of the component ]
Can we get it through /SAPAPO/OM_ORDER_GET_DATA ? I could see the requirement quantity but not the quantity required.
    Thanks in advance...
    Yogesh

    Hi PP_HKV,
I did as you told me  about use MB1A/261 against production order and you rigth, This not up date any quantity in production order for component only I can see this movoment in option   GOTO --> Documented goods movements, but not in component overview in field Qty withdrawn, It is the same case when I use MB1A/262 transation allow me to do the movment but the quantity in production order for component is not up date only it is show in GOTO --> Documented goods movements
I see in standard process it is not work as I expect. Is there some way for to do that any bapi o customization?

  • Mass reversal of one component issued  to many production orders

    Hello SAP GURUS
One of the common component is issued  to many production orders from wrong storage location ie instead of 0002  storage location it got issued from storage location0001,
Is there any way to mass reverse of this common component  that got issued to multiple production orders
    Thanks & Regards
    Himakar Raigir

    Dear Himakar,
In my understanding,There is no standard T Code to do this mass reversal.
But in MIGO/MB1A you can do 262 movement to the same storage location from which it was consumed for one single
production order if required or else you have to cancel all the documents using MBST.
    Check and revert

  • Tables for component batches used in production order

what are the tables where i can the look up the
Component Batches used on a Production Order?
I am developing a report, where i need to input the batch number, and it should give the production orders in which it is used.

one option is MSEG table. PrdOrd ID can be input into MSEG-AUFNR field and this way you get all the goods movements in connection with the order. If your confirmation and backflushing take place at the same time you can use the material document number and check the batches of the components.
Other option may be to use COOIS for components in connection with a PrdOrd / PrdOrds.
(I mean you check in connection with which PrdOrd that certain batch of FG was confirmed and you check the goods movement for thath PrdOrd using COOIS)

  • To issue the component to the Production Order

    Hello All,
I have assigned the component to the Operation of Production Order from Different plant(say 1100) of Same company code(1000).
I want to issue that material from that plant to this plant (say 1000) of Production Order.
So my question is the correct method of directly issuing the component to this Production Order of different plant.
    Shailendra

    Hi  HAdkar
    The correct procedure is .
You have to assign special procurement key 80 in material master for which you want to procure from plant 1100. The material master of procuring material should exist for the plant 1100. While running MPR the procurement proposal will be automatically created in the 1100 plant. From 1100 plant you do stock transfer to your storage location. Then finally do GI for the header prod order in you plant.
This is the procure in SAP. Eventhough both the plants exist in the same compound.

But all the workcenter have the same field name of ARBPL, if anyone have a idea plz help its urgent. Point will be sure.

    Dear Mr.Gowri Sankar,
As you have created a BDC for creating production order,
once after the order creation is over u can goto CO02 and change the work centre, routing details before release.
Please tell us when do u want to change the work centre & routing details?
If I'm wrong, please correct me.Also please share the concept of your BDC.
