Component Palette in JDev not working/visible.

Hi! I cannot make the Component Palette to show at all. I make the file active and then click on Tools/Component Palette, but nothing happens. I even tried to configure it-'Tools/Configure Palette', but nothing shows up.
OS : Windows XP
JDK 1.3.1
JDev 9.0.2 Oracle9i JDeveloper.
Thank you.
Radhika.

Hi Matthew,
As all our community members say's scrap given in MRP view's or BOM's are all the rejections at the time of manufacturing of either component or final product itself in the shop floor.
But from your second scenario it is understood that, there can be a in-transit damage for the component procured externally. So to be on safer side, you wanted to procure 5% extra. I hope this can be handled using rounding profile(Quantity addition/subtraction profiles). Create a profile using transaction OWD1 or through IMG activity under CBP or MRP. In this profile it is possible to define the threshold value and corresponding percentage.  For example...
Threshold value
Percentage
1000
5
2000
2.5
5000
1
When ever the proposal quantity reaches the threshold value, MRP will add the percentage to it as defined in the profile, if the percentage value is in negative then MRP reduces the proposal quantity accordingly...
If you are trying this, then please let me know the results as well.

Chinna

  • Component and Application Configuration not working

    Dear Friends,
I want to disable the reject button in HCM Processes and Forms Webdynpro component HRASR00_PROCESS_EXECUTE and in application asr_process_execute only for some specific roles in Portal. So I tried to use the component configuration followed by the application configuration and passed this configuration id as a application parameter in the Portal, but its not working. Please find below the config steps which I did, let me know if I am missing anything.
    1. Created a new Component configuration ZTEST for the Webdynpro component HRASR00_PROCESS_EXECUTE  and changed the property of the Reject button to "Invisible".
    2. Created a new Application configuration ZTEST1 for the Webdynpro application ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE and included the component configuration in the application configuration.
    3. Created an Application Parameter WDCONFIGURATIONID for the Webdynpro application ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE and hard coded its value as ZTEST1(Application configuration ID) for testing purpose.
    4. Tried to test the application from Portal, but didn't work. I don't think the UWL customization is required at this point as we have hardcoded the WDCONFIGURATIONID in the Webdynpro Application.
    Regards,
    Sapient

    Hi,
We had a same issue....the work around we got was that we had to create an enhancement...we removed the standard button...and created our custom button in place of the standard button....of course...the action method for our custom button was the same as the standard button....now since it is a custom button we were able to control the visibility of it....
you can try to do it the same way....there is no coding involve in this...only removing the standard button and placing in your own button....SAP does not allow changing the properties of the standard ui elements.....just want to mention that by removing the standard button...you are not actually removing the button....it stays on the layout....but it will not show up when you run the application....but your own custom button will show up....
If you do not know the procedure of removing the standard ui...it is fairly easy...right click on the ui element under the ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER...and select remove element....as i said before do not worry you are not removing it completely...it stays on the layout...and if you want to put it back...just right click on it again and select "undo deletion"....that is all
once you have your custom button there...you can control it the way you want...depending on the role....
    Thanks..

  • SAPGUI scripting recording cause alv component drag and drop not work

    Hi all:
after I started recording, and the drap and drop behavior of ALV tree component not work at once,
any body has any idea or workround?
    Thanks
    Michael

This problem has been asked in a couple of threads without any response.
Similar to other folks, I have a page with a list orders. The list of the orders is displayed using the new basic Table component. User goes to a certain page. Then the user clicks the detail button column to lookup details of the order. When the user closes the details page he/she obviously needs to return to the same.
Each time the user clicks the details button I get the current first row number, let's call it currentFirst, by using tableRowGroup1.getFirst() and save it in the session bean.
When I return to the list of the order page, I am trying to use the suggested method tableRowGroup1.setFirst(currentFirst). I am using this method in the prerender() method. The problem is that when Creator displays the page the first time, the tableRowGroup1 does not seem to be bound to the respective provider yet. All attributes of the tableRowGroup1are equal either to zero or null. Therefore, as the debugger shows, tableRowGroup1.setFirst(currentFirst) does affect anything. Binding happens after the prerender method and I don't see anyway to intervene. Creator always displays the first page of the table on return from previous web page.
I was also trying to set provider's cursor. I've checked in the debugger that I've set the cursor to the required row, but Creator still displays the first page of the table on return from previous web page.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

  • F2 on Popups? (Or how to get the Component if F2 is not working)

    Hello Experts,
I wonder if somebody has a tip how to get the component of popups?
The F2 Help is not working there.
The Popup I'm actually looking at is called by a button. Is it possible to find out the called component by looking at the button Event? (I have tried - but the source does not tell me any component)
    Thanks for answers...
    Regards
    Chris

    Chris,
F2 should definitely work if it is a UI component.
You see pop ups on button clicks and F4 value helps. F2 should work in these cases.
For some attributes with F4 help, a DDIC search help is attached. Here F2 does not work.
Anyhow to find out which component it is calling, you use this method
check in the event handler(for button pop ups) or in the outbound plugs specifies in GET_V method(for F4 pop ups) if there is a code like
    CALL METHOD comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup etc.,
A Component Usage will be passed to the method. You can check for the component usage in the Run Time Repository.
You will get the component details.

  • IPod Classic, component cables, TV, does not work, help...

I just bought the nifty Apple component cables for my 160GB iPod Classic and it is not sending video properly to my TV. I plug my DVD player component inputs into the TV, it works. I plug the iPod Classic component inputs in and I get sound but a black & white, swirly, barely distinguishable image.... and yes, I have triple checked that the cords are correct, and tried changing them around.
Could someone shed some light on this? I plugged the component cable set directly into the iPod, so its not a dock issue, and I checked that the iPod is set to NTSC...

i figured it out a while ago

  • TextArea Component - a href will not work locally (on CDROM)

    Hi,
I have many products out there that use a TextArea Component
with an <a> tag that calls another url as in:
    <a href="anotherPage.html">Click Here</a>
This functionality stop working on Flash Player 9. My old
products are useless until Adobe fixes the bug, but now I have to
figure out how a way to get around this.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!!

Thanks! That helps although the simptoms are new.
This was working on Flash Player 8, the version in which they
decided to bring about this sandboxes ordeal.
And now in Flash Player 9 it still works if I tell the getURL
to target a "_blank" page. It only breaks when I target "_self".
Now, that's not very secure to me.
But I wish they come up with a better solution. With the
sandbox issue the power of Flash has been rendered useless in local
devices. I'm think of developing in a different language just
    because of this.

  • Solutions For "Could not initialize the application's security component..." NOT Working

When opening today Thunderbird the following message appeared: "Could not initialize the application's security component"
My computer has over 80Gb free space
I deleted Cert8 and restarted, that did not fix the issue
I ensured that the 'Read Only' option for Cert8 is unchecked, still the problem remained
I uninstalled Thunderbird and reloaded, that did not help either.
Could be a corrupted Cert8, well I do not wish to risk losing valuable non-Thunderbird data by creating a new profile (the only other suggested solution)
Please can someone get me out of this mess, as I'm unable to access my emails.

Delete the '''cert8.db''' file in the Thunderbird profile folder.
This will remove all intermediate certificates that Thunderbird has stored.
    Info on profile here:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird
Make sure Thunderbird is closed before deleting the '''cert8.db''' file.

  • Flex Component Kit publish SWC not working with Flex 4

I started this thread in the Flex forum and they are telling me that the SWC's I'm creating with Flash Professional CS5 and Flex Component Kit 2.0.0 are not linked with FCC for Flex 4.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/777789?tstart=0
That means the problem is with my Flash Professional CS5 setup instead of my Flash Builder 4 setup. Can someone here help me fix my Flash setup? As I described in that thread I can't find anything wrong with my setup but apparenty I'm generating SWC's for the wrong version of Flex.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

I unzipped my SWC and verified what Flex harUI in the Flex forum told me. My SWC seems to be linked with FCC 1 not FCC 2. I don't understand how this is possible. I am using Flash Professional CS5 and only FCC 2.0.0 is installed, FCC 1 is not even installed. Here are the contents of catalog.xml in my SWC file. How do I get Flash CS5 to generate an SWC for Flex 4?

  • HDMI and Component on Media Live not working - configurable?

I have a new Media Live and a Vizio VO42L TV. I plugged the PC into the TV via HDMI and component (not at the same time of course) but it does not display. Yes, I had it the TV on the correct inputs when testing. The only way I can get anything on the TV is to use the RGB connection. I certainly did not buy this PC to use RGB!!!
Anyone have any advice on what to do here? Is there any way to configure the outputs on the PC, to maybe turn the HDMI or component outputs "on"?

I have tried two TVs now and two HDMI cables - no go. The HDMI out on this Media Live PC appears to be broken. My test consisted of turning off the PC, disconnecting all cables, turning it on and letting it boot up then turning it off by quickly depressing the power button (so Vista initiates a shutdown). I then attached the HDMI cable(s) to the PC and plugged it into the TVs. Results:
Vizo LCD: I can see the MSI BIOS screen but it is flickery, green and has snow and lines all over it. As the boot progresses into Vista the TV switches off the display all together and displays "Not Support!"
Pani Plamsa: Same green screen on boot followed by the TV seemingly turning off the display all togehter (default Pani blue screen you get when nothing is connected to the line in).
I have tried all the HDMI inputs on both TVs with two HDMI cables in this manner - no go.
Is this something MSI support can help me with or do I need to RMA this back to Newegg? I have to postmark the RMA to Newegg by 12-16, so a reply from someone at MSI before then would be really great!!

    Hi,
the information that is missing in your question is "what release of Oracle JDeveloper" we are talking about. If you look at the new feature list for JDeveloper 11.1.2 then you see that @import is supported in that release (previously this has been filed as bug 10066954 that is fixed in the 11.1.2 release)

  • SDM Not working

    Hi All,
I am unable to deploy any webynpro component , Firstly SDM is not working properly it is showing "start with exit code 8", Can anyone please help me out.
    Cheers
    Sara

    Hi Sara ,
    Problem
If you try to start the SDM server and either:
    ·        It fails to start with exit code 8
    ·        Text such as the following exists in SDM:
SDM is currently detached from JStartupFramework. Forward this information to the JStartupFramework (disable SDM process).
This means that SDM is currently in what is called standalone mode.
    Solution
To start it using the JStartupFramework, you should set it to integrated mode. Open the command prompt in directory /usr/sap//SDM/program and execute:
    sdm jstartup mode=integrated
Note that depending on your command interpreter, the param name, equal sign and param value may be enclosed with quotation marks(").
After executing the command, try to start the SDM server again.

  • Component Palette - User Defined Functions not visible

I have created a simple class for a User Defined Function I want to add into a Transformation process in my BPEL process.
I followed this tutorial - https://blogs.oracle.com/bwb/resource/custom_xpath_functions/Creating_Custom_XPath_functions_with_JDeveloper_FullPost.ht…   to create the extension and add it in to JDeveloper
However when I open the Transformation editor I have no option in the component Palette for User Defined functions.
I am currently on 11.1.1.7. However this was working on 11.1.1.6 but this also has stopped.
Does anybody have any suggestions of where I should look.
    Any help much appreciated
    Cheers
    Owen

    Hi Raja,
Prior to trying Gordons option of unmarking and remarking them i would suggest you do a little more investigation as this can potentially change the field names in XL report and if you have any reports using them they may stop working (it can add a post fix of _1).
Firstly, what are the fields set as in the User Defined Fields window in XL reporter?  Light Dimensions, Dimension Attribute or Measure?  If its a Dimension Attribute for example on the Business Partner UDF, it will not be visible in the tab section but should be shown if you drag and drop the Business Partner dimension in the report, then right click and choose display more attributes (dimension attribute UDFs will be in this list).  Light Dimensions and Measures should appear in the tabs.
If they are set as a light dimension or measure and are not in the tab section, has this only just started happening or have they never been visible?  If its just started happening, having you recently upgraded to a new patch?  If so, in future you need to run a script on the Company and Common database prior to the patch upgrade.  If you did not run these scripts you will need to do Gordons solution but as I say, if any reports have UDFs in these may not work after and you will have to manually edit them.
    Regards,
    Adrian
