    How do you get the Data Access tab to show up with the Swing and
    AWT components? I am trying to create applets that access
    databases other then Oracle and am having difficulty getting it
    connected. I do create a connection, but can't access it?

  • Without providing access of mass storage,allow access of data card or local printer ,

    Hello,
    Pls assist in exploring the possibility to allow access of data card or local printer  without providing access of mass storage.
    Balwan Singh

    Hello Balwan Singh,
    You can use two methods on is using Administrative Template and the other is using Preferences, both are available within the GPO in Domain Controllers with 2008 and later.
    Option 1: Administrative Template.
    This setting can be configured either at Computer or User level.
    You need to go to:
    Computer or User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\System\Removable Storage Access
    In here you can Enable the setting "Removable Disks: Deny read access" or "Removable Disks: Deny write access"
    Just be aware that this settings does not apply to a servers at a "User Configuration" level.
    Option 2: Preferences.
    This setting can be configured either at Computer or User level.
    You need to go to:
    Computer or User Configuration\Preferences\Control Panel\Devices
    In here you need to create a new item as follows:
    - Right click and select new --> Device
    - On General Tab you can select two "Action" options "Use this device (enable)" or "Do not use this device (disable)" in this case you should use the second option "Do
    not use this device (disable)"
    - On "Device class:" you can browse the devices attached to the computer from where you are configuring this GPO.
    In this list yo need to choose the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" node and among the options listed in here you should choose the "USB Mass Storage Device" which is the class used for USB drives.
    Remember that if you are configuring the GPO from a domain controller probably you do not see the "USB Mass Storage Device" in the "Universal
    Serial Bus controllers" node since there does not exists a USB drive directly attached to your domain controller.
    You can workaround this by either connect a USB drive to your Domain Controller or connect with the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC.msc) from a workstation on which you can safely plug a USB drive just to be able to visualize it and configure your GPO.

    How can I migrate data from an old MBA to a new one without having access to the screen of the old one? The screen of the old MBA is damaged !

    If your "older" MBA has a Thunderbolt port then it isn't that old. See Target Disk Mode about how it's used. Note that without a monitor you won't be able to tell from the screen when it has fully started, and if it succeeded in starting in TDM. If it did, then the hard drive should appear on the Desktop of your new computer. You can then access it to transfer your files. You can even use Migration Assistant or any backup utility to transfer data. Just don't try to transfer system files.

  • Direct database data access without data level authorization check

    Hello,
    My customer raised issue about direct database data access. Due to the customeru2019s strong security policy, it shouldnu2019t be allowed.
    To prevent this kind of illegal data access, customer ask me to list up all the possibilities to display data without data level authorization check.
    The things in my mind are
    SQL Command Editor (for Oracle based system) : ORASPACE, DB02, ST04
    Query Based : SQVI (Quick Viewer), SQ01/SQ02/SQ03 (SAP Query)
    Data Browser : SE11, SE12, SE16, SE16N, SE17
    Table Maintenance : SM30
    Function Module : RFC_READ_TABLE
    Function Module : DB_EXECUTE_SQL (DML)
    Anyone knows anything which is not listed above?
    Thanks

    HI,
        Generally in production user's should not be given all these authorizations.

  • ADF Data Visualizations group not showing up in Component Palette

    I apologize for my ignorance, but I cannot find how to solve this problem. I am trying to use the data visualization components such as graphs but my component palette does not show this. It does show ADF Faces, JSF, and some others, but not this. I tried adding more libraries to my project's properties, but it does not show up. I am using:
    JDeveloper
    Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.2.0
    Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.2.0_GENERIC_091029.2229.5536
    Any ideas?
    thanks,
    Kerry

    Go into project properties -> JSP libraries and make sure you add the data visualization tag library.

  • Problems in using Gplus Data Access Component to invoke SAP-RFCs

    Hello integration-gurus!
    We need to make RFCalls out of routing strategies within Genesys Universal Routing Server (URS).
    We learned that we need to install the Gplus Data Access Component (DAC) in order to do so. After copying the rfc32lib.dll into installation directory of DAC the DAC establishes a valid RFC-connection to ourer SAP-CRM 5.0 system. But if the URS requests the definition of the specific remotefunction (the DAC provides this information as a WSDL for URS) it gets a timeout. Now we think that we need special files (perhaps XML-schemata provided by SAP) to transform the DDIC-types provided by the RFC into SOAP-specific datatypes communicated from DAC to URS.
    Where can we get these files?
    Has anyone experiences with such an integration scenario?
    Kind regards
    Michael

    My carrier is Straight Talk (using ATT network) and they require the user to enter the APN settings in order to access their data network. My Iphone 4s is factory unlocked but I can not get to the Cellular Data Network tab to enter the settings?

    Yes ATT hides the APN settings so when you try to use a st sim it automatically reads on AT&T network so the APN settings are hidden and cannot be accessed however you can go to apn.straighttalk.com on you'r phone and select APN/data settings then select AT&T then iPhone and a screen will pop up asking if you would like to install the profile for whatever reason it's not verified but works fine. You can also go to www.unlockit.co.nz and set up a straight talk APN profile that is verified not sure exactly what that means but both work to get the data working on the phone for straight talk but it does not make the MMS work. There are a couple other methods I have read about one is on howardforums using ibackupbot to manually change the files on the phone I haven't been able to get mine to stick using that method but other people have and there is a sim swap method to trick the phone to reveal APN settings using a tmobile sim I have not tried this but other people have with success. The last two methods mentioned will make both data and MMS work

  • SQL Developer 4.0.0.13.80 only Access tab is visible in Connections

    I have installed this release carefully using the instructions provided, migrated my 4.0.0.12.84 setting, and it seems to work correctly.  However, when I go to add a Connection, only the Access tab is visible.  My existing connections which extensively use tnsnames.ora all work as expected but I cannot add or modify an existing Oracle DB connection (or anything other than Access).  I removed and repeated the install with the same results.  I have then completely removed the existing install, removed the settings folder in my roaming folder, uninstalled/reinstalled JDK 1.7.0_51, reinstalled 4.0.0.13.80 and NOT migrated settings to get to a virgin install; unfortunately, the same situation exists (even after mapping the tnsnames.ora file in the Database>Advanced setting location.  This is the eleventh release I have installed/used without this error, so I am looking for guidance in removing this roadblock from the community...any suggestions?

    I can reproduce my problem even after I switched SQL-Developer to English language by setting  "AddVMOption -Duser.language=en" in sqldeveloper.conf
    I'm using the 64-bit Version of SQL-Developer with JAVA 1.7.0_40. My OS is Windows 7, standard date format in SQL-Developer is "DD.MM.YYYY hh24:mi". I opened a simple table in an Oracle 11.2.0.3 database and tried to change a date value with the date picker from '01.01.2012 00:00' to '10.01.1975 00:00' but the result, that I got is '10.01.1974 00:00'!

  • Xml report output in excel format without using options tab in EBS

    How to get xml publisher report output in excel format without using options tab in EBS?
    I am getting XML Publisher report output in excel format by using options tab while submitting the concurrent request .
    But i want to get excel output automatically.
    Can anyone give idea to get XML publisher Report output in excel without selecting options tab.
    Thanks in advance
    Sandeep V

    Hey Sandeep,
    I am working on a similar format for a report and if possible can you please give me some guidelines. I have initially created reports using XML Publisher, but for those , the output preview format was PDF. So, if I select the preview format as EXCEL will it give me output in Excel and for this to happen, how do I define the rtf template. I believe the working will be same as for PDF, create a rdf report, get output in XML and apply the template to get the data in Excel or there is something different to this.
    Thanks,
    Sunil

  • How to get Current Log in BO user name in data access driver

    In universe, to get the current log in user is via @Variable('BOUSER').
    Right now, I need to be able to get the user name in the data access driver. I am writing a customized data access driver because we need to patch some where clause on the the query generated by the universe based on the logged-in user info. I only think of using end_sql parameter or adding an universe level filter to patch the @Variable('BOUSER') to the query, which would not work if user want to use customized query.
    Can anyone tell me how to get currentBO user name from connection server ? or how @Variable('BOUSER') is translated into the logged-in user name in the universe?

    Shweta,
    The link you provided was the Auditor guide for BO 6.x, I'm not sure it that is going to help Karen or not.
    Karen,
    There is function called connection
    (usage:  =connection([Query Name]), where [Query Name]
    denotes the name of the tab for the query under Edit Query)
    Here is some of the output from connection:
    4;ODBC18;MS SQL Server 2000166; VERSION=7; USER=xxxxx;
    PASSWORD=; DBTYPE=Relational; DATABASE=xxx_xxxx;
    ODBC_USER=xxxxxx; ODBC_PASSWORD=; BO_DSN=xxxx_xxxx;
    BO_DRV_CONNECT_MODE=0; 224; VERSION=6; Name=xxxxx; Shared=4;
    LoginTimeout=600; Timeout=600; Pool Time=60; Array Fetch Size=10;
    Array Bind Size=5; RecommendedLenTransfert=1000; Password_Encryption=x;
    AliasTable=; MeasureDimension=; Hint=; ConnectInit=; ArrayFetch=1;
    I'm not sure if this info helps out either, being that connection provides info on a post-processing basis and it sounds like you need to get out ahead of the SQL generation.  The @variable('bouser') would seem like the place to be, however, in allowing custom SQL to take place you loose the bouser due to an individual could customize the SQL to the point that it gets unwantingly yanked out.  The end_sql might be your answer...
    Thanks,
    John

  • Issue with Enterprise Library's Data Access Application

    I do not know if I have the correct forum for this post. I hve put it in what I believe is the most likely best forum, but please move this if there is a more germane forum for it.
    I have inherited a solution (C#) which uses the reference Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data. The reference was included with the codebase I inherited, there are no missing references.
    When the library is called with:
    Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data.ExecuteDataSet("configConfigurationKeysSelect", parameterValues);
    It complains with the runtime error:
    [InvalidOperationException: The stored procedure 'configConfigurationKeysSelect' doesn't exist.] (I have put the full trace below)
    This is true, there IS no stored procedure  'configConfigurationKeysSelect'  but there is a table named  'configConfigurationKeys.'
    I assumed this stored procedure is built on the fly to select from that table? Must I do something regarding  Enterprise Library's Data Access Application so that this works on the system I am running it on? (I am simply accessing the references
    included with the sourced for this, nothing else). I am looking for some guidance here, and thanks in advance.

    Why do you assume that a stored procedure is create on the fly?  Looking at the documentation for this component, I don't see a mention of such.

  • Creation of field without data element

    Hi all,
    i want to create a field SLNO without data element, i.e. by assigning direct data type NUMC.
    by doing so while activating it is giving the below message.
    "The table must be adjusted by unloading and reloading
    it in the database. This function has a long runtime and should
    not be performed while the table is being used for production."
    "If you want to start the adjustment nevertheless,
    select a processing type and choose 'Adjust'.
    Otherwise choose 'Terminate'."
    pls let me know which is better i.e. by assingning direct data type, or else can i create a data element with type as 'NUMC'.
    Regards,
    venkat

    hi venkat,
    when creating the db table in se 11 ,if u want to use predefined data type ie char,numc,date etc ... With in se14,in fields tab, click predefined type button which is placed in the first row along with cut ,delete icons.
    When u click predefinedtype button, the field named data type will be enabled and its there ready for editing.Choose the data type u need and data length etc.
    If u r creating the db for the first time, there is no need for , adjusting the db table using se14.
    But if u r trying to edit a db ,that is already been created , then make neccessary changes in the db and go to se14. There give ur edited db name, and click "activate and adjust database " button...Ensure that "save data " option button is selected.
    Note:
    If u r making any structural  changes in already existing db ,then use se14 to adjust ,save and activate the db.
    Hope the content is usefull
    please change the problem  status if its resolved .Thank you.
