Component Qty Stored where?

Hello all
I am looking to run a report to show all the component quantities for a particular component. I see in the BOM where this field is displayed but I am having a hard time finding where that data is stored.
I have data element KMPMG
Domain MENGV13
Ref. field RC29P & MEINS
Field name MENGE
But I still cannot seem to find the correct table name. I tried a where used any then put those table names in SE16 but none allow me to enter one particular component.
Any ideas?

It probably calculated dynamically based on diffirent parameters..
Debug the program and have a look how he has populated the Structure

  • Po quantity and Component qty should be same Whildoing Subcontracting PO.

    Hello friends
I need to do the following setting.
While doing Subcontracting Purchase Order the Ordered Quantity  entered is to be reflect  Component Quantity.  ( Without entering component qty, automatically ordered qty should come in component qty). The reason is that user should not commit any mistake while doing po.
Where can i control this. Is there any customization setting or Material Master setting.
    Please give me suggesition. Urgent.
    Thanks and Regards
    Sitaram

    Hi Sitaram,
As you have maintained the BOM for that material/Plant.
The finished material and components are maintained with the quantities,
When you creating  the Subcontracting PO you enter the Material number in the item level
in the material data tab you have 2 options Components and Explode BOM,
If you click the Components the system will ask you to enter the components and their quantity.
If you click the Explode BOM system will pick the components and their quantity from the BOM which is already maintained for that finishing material.
So no need to maintain the quantity manually by Users, if you use explode BOM options.

  • How to get the Calculated Component Qty  of BOM in BI

    Hi Gurus,
I am working on a requirement where I need to get the BOM Calculated Component Qty which we see in CS11.
The way it is getting calculated in ECC is :- If a Component has an Assembly then We take the Base quantity of that material from STKO table and Take the Component qty of its component and multiply the Component qty of The component and the component qty of the Material for which the assembly exist and divide it by the base qty of the component  of the Assembly.
We need to put the same logic in BI. can anyone please help me how i can accomplish this.
    Thanks!

  • Full BOM component qty when follow-up material is effected.

    Dear Experts,
How to ensure discontinuation / follow-up is implemented on FULL BOM's
             component qty, and not partial.
              Example : A requires 3B, and B is follow-up with C upon discontinuation.
Planned order of A should only contain 3B or 3C, not mixture eg. 1B
                             and 2C etc.
How can the control be implemented ?

    Dear Pradeep, Rajesha & all,
Assume BOM of "A" indicates component B qty 10 is follow-up with component C qty 10.
Material B (say, balance 1 qty) is received into Store Y (MRP Relevant). Thus to exclude material B from MRP, we have to manually transfer stock to store X (Not MRP Relevant).
This would mean, we have to perform manual tracking such that this store transfer is done, to force SAP to direct to material C, so that we either accept 10B or 10C in planned order and nothing else.
Not forgetting, I could have another follow-up in another bom such that 1B = 1C. Thus, the material 1B I transfered to store X (Not MRP relevant) can actually be use in this case.
<b>    Thus, from BOM explosion, is there a way to control discontontinuation to follow-up, based on full component qty specified in BOM ?</b>
    <u><b>My Setting as follows :</b></u>
    <b>(1)</b> Material Master of "B" : MRP4 specify (a) Discontinuation Indicator "1", (b) effective-out date, (c) Follow-up material "C"
    <b>(2)</b> In Bom of "A" (parent of "B") :
    - Item "B", indicate discontinuation group "A1"
    - Create item "C" and indicate follow-up group "A1" and qty to be follow-up upon B discontinuation.
Thank you for your guidance !

  • Data entry- bom component qty in decimals

Hi, We need to enter bom component qty with 4 decimal places like 9.0001 mm etc. as the table field structure is set as 3 for decimal places, it is not allowing to enter. Also tried with su01 as well as cuni settings. Please advise is there any way to set the bom component qty in more than 3 decimal places?

    Hi
System will allow only upto 3 places after decimal.check in CUNI
can u plz tell me wat is the relevance of 9.0001 mm if your planning is in Metres.it doesnt matter after 3 places of decimal.as per business process.even simple mathematics round off it to 9.0 mm

  • ITunes Artwork stored WHERE?!

I've amassed a large body of downloaded artwork in my iTunes library over the past few months, and am keen to preserve it whilst I reinstall my XP Service Pack 1 operating system in order to upgrade it to SP2.
However, I cannot for the life of me find out where it is stored on my PC!
And now I learn that iTunes will no longer allow access to artwork for tunes that you haven't bought from the iTunes Store!
The artwork is clearly downloaded into my computer, but stored where..?
There's nothing in the Preferences and nothing in the iTunes folder.
Can anyone tell me where iTunes stores downloaded artwork, and how I can save all previously downloaded artwork and reinstate it once my HDD has been blanked and the OS has been reinstalled.
I await your collective learned insights.
    Thank you all.
    Regards,
    Dave G.

    P.S. Everyone:
    I DON'T USE MP3 files!
I find they are very noisy and give me a splitting headache!
Plus, they cannot be edited without further aural loss.
They seem to be the modern replacement for compact cassette
(i.e. NOT for the discerning listener!)
I use only AIFF, WAV or BWF files.
    Nice!

  • Bom Component qty & WIP Quantity differ at Trget cost calculation

    Dear gurus,
i am facing the problem with WIP at target cost calculation in REM.
    My issue is
BOM Component qantity is 9.524 TO  and price is 2000 then total cost is  9.521*2000=19048.
but in WIP Report kkas in WIP explation it takes input qty 9.52 T0 and price 2000 then total price is 19040.
    Difference is 19048 - 19040 =8
and also when i am issuing actual qty i.e 9.524 in BOM then my price is 19048.00 ant at time of variance calculaton then quantaty variance as   9.52.0-9.524.0=-0.04  then 0.004*2000 =-8
    Please suggest solution for this.

    Hi
Rounding differences between target and actual values and quantities are not unlikely to occur and cannot always be avoided but can be minimized.
Small prices and price unit of 1 are likely to cause more of these rounding differences..
The actual credit is simply calculated as price * quantity. The target credit however is calculated during the variance calculation
and based on the sum of all items in the itemization/cost components of the cost estimate and therefore more accurate.
To avoid this I suggest to store the material price with a larger price unit, i.e. 1000
Std cost release stores price upto 2 decimals and target cost calculation goes upto 3 decimals...
Please check also the note 1265918 for more information to this topic.

  • Fetching open component qty against production order

    Hi
The requirement is to fetch component 'open quantity' for a production order. [ Open quantity = requirement - withdrawn qty of the component ]
Can we get it through /SAPAPO/OM_ORDER_GET_DATA ? I could see the requirement quantity but not the quantity required.
    Thanks in advance...
    Yogesh

    Hi PP_HKV,
I did as you told me  about use MB1A/261 against production order and you rigth, This not up date any quantity in production order for component only I can see this movoment in option   GOTO --> Documented goods movements, but not in component overview in field Qty withdrawn, It is the same case when I use MB1A/262 transation allow me to do the movment but the quantity in production order for component is not up date only it is show in GOTO --> Documented goods movements
I see in standard process it is not work as I expect. Is there some way for to do that any bapi o customization?

  • Definitive Word On ID3 Tags, Library Files & Which Data Is Stored Where...

I have spent a few hours just now (and have read the discussions a lot previously) on various iTunes issues, namely ones pertaining to organization and storage of data & info. I still have quite a few questions I would like the definitive answers for. If anyone knows for sure, thanks in advance for your response!
    1) Is there any difference between how and where iTunes stores data for audio (mp3, m4a, aif, etc.) files vs. movie (mpg, mp4, mov) files, and if so, what are they?
    2) In the info tabs/panes of tracks in iTunes, is the entered data stored in separate places? i.e., the info under the INFO pane stored in the individual media file itself while that in the OPTIONS pane stored in the main library file? Also, did I read correctly that Convert ID3 Tags causes more of the library file data to be embedded in the media file itself? (Not desirable of course, because each play would in effect "modify" the file as if it had changed and needed to be resynched, since play count is part of the data).
    3) Is there a difference between where editable data (artist, title, equalizer setting, genre, rating, etc.) is stored vs uneditable data such as play count, date added, last played, etc.?
    4) Is there a list somewhere online that shows what data is stored in the library file (settings unique to the iTunes) and what is universally in the standard ID3 tag in the media file itself?
    5) Is it safe to assume that rating, equalizer, volume, remember position and start/stop time settings for each individual track are not in the ID3 tag but only in the library file? If so, one can then assume that merely copying the library file will preserve these settings?
    6) Are ID3 tags applied and applicable to movie and audio files similarly, and do they further differ how & if they are used among each file type (mp3, m4a, aif, wav, mpg, mp4, mov, etc.)? I know with movies you cannot set or change the poster frame in mpg (muxed) files, for example.
    7) I do all my iTunes importing, editing, managment, etc. on my PowerMac desktop, with the prefs, library and xml files stored in my home folder on the PowerMac's OS drive and the large media files store on an attached ext. 500 GB FW drive. If I use a synching program to continuously keep the library/xml files the same on my iBook laptop's home folder and the media files the same on another ext. 160 GB FW drive, then when I use the iBook with the 160 GB at different events it should operate exactly the same a when using my PowerMac at home with the 500 GB? The only thing I should have to change is the location of the iTunes folder in the Prefs on the iBook to point to the 160 GB, right?
    8) Finally, now that iTunes 7 allows you to indicate sort order ("The Beatles" can now appear under "B" without writing "Beatles, The" as I have been) would it retain that sort when importing the song list into other database programs or even an iPod, or would it default back to "T"? (AppleWorks database has a similar feature where you can specify an ARTIST field which sorts by first letter of last word, but won't stay that way in other programs).
PHEW! ...long post I know, but I spent a lot of time reading and hopefully over time I can get the answers to most (or even all) of these questions. Thanks!!!
PowerMac G4/500 MHz (1 GB); iBook G4/1.33 GHz (1.5 GB)   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   (still using 10.3.9 Panther on PowerMac)

I read this on the ID3 site:
ID3 tags were designed with the MP3 file format in mind. ID3v2 tags will break formats which are container-based such as Ogg Vorbis and WMA. Here is some information on specific formats:
ID3 tags work in MP3 and MP3pro files
    WAV has no tags
WMA has its own tagging format, which is specified in the wma spec, available in the MSDN (which unfortunately, basically does not allow Open Source implementations)
Ogg Vorbis uses "Xiph Comments" (same as later versions of FLAC and Speex), which are embedded into the Ogg container. You can find information on these in the comment and container specs on www.xiph.org
AAC uses yet another tagging format, which does not at present have a published spec as of 3/1/2006.
So since I rip in AAC, does that mean the tags work differently, are stored differently or offer different editable info? Also, I found nothing regarding tags for video files as I mentioned in my question. Within iTunes I am assuming all the information you may edit or view when you Get Info for each file is not all stored together: some is in the file's ID3 tag and others in the iTunes Library file. I guess you are always safe if you keep back-ups of your media files and library files, even if you don't always know which info resides where.
I found a complete list of frames (fields) that are available in ID3v2 at the following link, many not available in iTunes, but the site lists other apps that allow you to edit tags for both Mac & Windows.
    http://www.id3.org/Frames
I am curious, if you use another app to edit the tag with a frame not offered in iTunes, will it still work in iTunes (like if you use the frame for synchronized lyrics; since it is part of the tag itself will they show up when played in iTunes even though not editable in iTunes)?

  • BOM component Qty is getting rounded to next value in Process Order and BOM

We are in ECC 6.0, and maintaining BOM where Item quantities are decimal places e.g 0.3lb with respect to Hader qty. Now when we are craeting process order or exploding in CS11, we are seein that item quantities are getting rounded to next full integer e.g 1, 2 or 3.
What could be the reason for this behaviour.

In standard  "lb' doesn't have decimal point
    If you want decimal point
    go to CUNI
    select the mass
    you can find the lb
maintain the decimal point  as 3, & decimal point rounding as as 3, system will show 3 decimal point in process order and in CS11

  • Component Qty in PO for Subcontracting is greater than available in stock

    Dear Gurus,
i have an issue regarding Subcontracting. When i create a Purchase Order, i use Item Category L. In the Compoenent i specify the material and the Requirement Quantity. Req Qty which i specify in PO is greater than the Qty available in Stock.
How do i restrict the user to enter only the Quantity that is available in Stock for the Component provided to the Vendor.
    Thanks,
    Johi.

the next MRP run will create a requisition or planned order  to get more quantity for the component., if you are short of material.
do you just plan to produce as much as you have components for, or do you plan to satisfy a customers need?

  • How to handle frequent change of component qty to attain diff spec

    Dear all,
My client maniufacture a product (process industry) in different specification ( i.e the components qty  used for the process orders vil vary often but components in the BOM will be the same) so wats is the std. way to map this process in sap taking consideration of the product costing part too.
    Regards,
    Joseph

yes for such scenarios variant configuration is to be used.
you will define Spice A as your product and it will have BCD as your component
Now depending on the order given by customer you will prepare the sales order.
In sales order you will enter the values of the composition (characteristics).
Based on the composition given in Sales Order BOM of Spice A will be exploded and
quantities will be as per the composition.
For this you need to define
    Material master (material type- configurable)
    Characteristics (Composition)
Classses holding the characteristics.(class type 300)
Dependancies to pull the values in order BOM
    config profile.
This will reduce your material codes like Spice A to very considerable Extent.

    Mandar.

  • BOM Component Qty.

    Hi
In Casting Industries the consumption of rawmaterials for furnace is vary for every production. The Consumption is based on availablity of meatal scraps and also cost. How to Craete BOM for this Scenario.

    Dear,
Consider the furnace capacity as base quqntity for the BOM. Then define the other components as per requirement in BOM. For the fix componenets and their qty mark that component as fixed quantity in item details. I think maximun variation will be in scrap and rement consumption. For different capacity of furnace you can define different production versions. If you are using REM then this process will work properly in casting production process. Let me know for further requirement.
    Thanks and Regards,
