Component selection in MRP

Dear all,
We have material BOM & order BOM for same material. But at the time of MRP run order BOM should be selected even setting is also made in OPPQ but components are not getting planned in MRP.
Please suggest the solution.

Dear,
1. Check the material having valid date BOM, ie BOM should be available on planned order basic start.
2. Check the BOM usage
3. check the BOM status ( Active or inactive)
4. Check material assigned with any prod version.
5. In MRP4 view check the BOM selection method. Lot size means check the lot size in BOM header.
And MRP type should PD please check and come back.

Hello Everyone ,
I am new to ADF and i have a ADF page developed with Select Many Choice as one of the component , this field can be multiple numbers , i would
like to capture each one the value being selected under each message choice and print them using sop .
Let me explain through example :
Application 1
: Role 1
: Role 2
Application 2
: Role 4
: Role 5
Where Application 1 , 2 are name of the Select Many choice component and Role 1 , 2 .. are values inside various Message choice .
Now if i select Role 1 in Application 1 and Role 5 in Application 2 , i would like to print each of these information on click of a button.
can some one help to achieve this .
Note : All the values like Application 1 , 2 and Role 1,2,3 etc are just hard coded , not using any data base .

Restriction to component selection in Service Order

Hi,
Scenario is a Repair Technician selects a Fault Code in the Notification. Component entry (Part consumption) in the Service Order is allowed only if the selected Fault Code requires a Part replacement.
Is it possible to restrict component selection in the Service Order based on Fault code in its corresponding Notification ?

Hi,
May be u can maintain BOM and while selecting component let him go to LIST and select the maintained component. This may reduce ur errors for selecting.

Service Marketplace Component Selection

Dear Forum Members,
In SAP Active Global Support, we are underway with a project to simplify the component selection process for our customers. From our analysis of customer feedback and usability studies, we have found that customers have difficulty in navigating through the component hierarchy tree and choosing the appropriate component. We will therefore be reducing the number of components visible to customers, and SRM has been chosen as a pilot component.
Goal
Of the 160 components in the SRM area, we will be hiding 35. Based on an analysis of incoming message volume, these components have been chosen because of a lack of usage, or because they could be easily absorbed by other areas or parent components. Please see the list below which shows the components which will be hidden.
Benefit
the reduction of components will assist us in Support as less component granularity leads to swifter and easier dispatching. Secondly, the reduction will pay dividends on the SMP Message Wizard as fewer components being proposed to the customer in the SMP means easier component selection and increased satisfaction.
We plan to introduce the component hiding from Monday, the 10th October 2011.
The affected components which will be removed from the SMP Wizard list as of 10th October are:

hi am in step 5 installing rcu (custom variable) am having this error

Value of Custom Variable Work Repository Type: (D) Development (Default) or (E) Execution is greater than maximum length of 1 characters. Value should be between 0 and 1 characters.

Component selection in maintenance order

Hi,
My client want to see unrestricted stock of material while creating maintenance order. In Component tab when we take input help to search components, we can able to see material no & descriprion. In addition I want is to display current unrestricted stock & plant for the material.
Stock data can be taken from table MARD. I want to know is there any user exit available for this ??
I know one exit IWO10011 Maint. order: Customer enhancement for component selection, but I am not sure whether this will work or not.
Any input would be appreciated.

Hello Hitesh,
If you want to see the unrestricted stock of the material entered in component tab then put your cursor on the storage location
field in the same component row and press F4. Here, you will get the unrestricted stock.

Produciton version selection in MRP

Dear all,
we have prepared alt bom scenario for MTS with two prod versions.
I am facing one problem of production version selection while MRP.
In MTS scenario, system is picking the prod version no. 1 by default while creating order.
1. How we can configure/change the selection of Prod version while MRP?
2. I need to select the prod version on my choice in MTS / MRP(depends on materail availability)?

Production Version in Material Master in tab page "MRP 04". If BOM or Routing changes then PV also change. In Selection method two options are available related to PV- Selection by order quant. 1 Selection by explosion date 2 Selection by production version 3 Selection only by production version 1)With Selection by order quantity, the system chooses the alternative BOM into whose lot size range the order quantity falls. The lot size range and area of validity of the BOM apply. 2)With Selection by explosion date, the system chooses the alternative BOM into whose area of validity the date falls according to the setting BOM via dates. 3)With Selection by production version, the system chooses the alternative BOM defined in the valid production version. The lot size range and area of validity of the production version apply. 4) With Selection only by production version, the system chooses the alternative BOM defined in the valid production version. The lot size range and area of validity of the production version apply.

In MD61 - You can set in User Parameter-Requirements type - LSF Make-to-stock production

After this u can change PV while converting Plan order to production order.

General task list: component selection from BOM - possible in batch input?

Hi experts,
for the assignment of non-stock material to general task lists I have followed the advice from message[6115684|Re: General Task List Components;.
So what I have done is:
- Include non-stock material in BOM
- Assign BOM to general task list header
When clicking on the "Component selection" button in the task list components, I can select a component.
When entering the material number of the component directly though, I get an error: "Material type X and line item type L not compatible" (CO135).
I would like to upload the general task lists with a batch input recording, but I can't figure out how to select components.
Any thoughts?

We have the same requirement to load tasklists (change & create). We are using the function modules EAM_TASKLIST_CREATE and EAM_TASKLIST_CHANGE. However, i cannot get a non-stock BOM item to process. Has anyone got this working?

EDIT: Found the answer - simply fill in the fields for BOM on the component (STLTY, STLNR, STLKN, and STLAL).

BOM selection during MRP running

Hi,
   I have a question about BOM selection during MRP running...
   I have three production version and all of them are valid at the same time..I get a problem "no BOM data seletion" during MRP
running..I suspect it is due to that I have three production version and MRP didn't know take which one..Can anyone tell me
where can i config it or what's wrong with it in my situation?
   btw,BOM usage and stats are correct .so is the router data..since MRP is running well if i only have one PV..thanks..

Hi Monst,
Looking at the screenshots you uploaded, it seems that the validity of each of the production version is from 7.12.2011 to 1.12.2012.
Please check whether for Planned order no. 36659 alternative BOM no. 1 is getting selected (Since BOM selection ID is 2).
For planned order nos. 36660, 36661 and 36662, the start date is perhaps before 7.12.2011 and end date as we can see lies in the validity period of production version. Hence, neither of the alternatives of the BOM is getting selected.
For verifying the above logic, please make the BOM selection method as 3 (selection only by production version) and run the MRP. I think MRP will get terminated in this case since no BOM will be chosen for first planned order.
Just in case u need to select the BOM for planned orders, you can manually enter the production version no. in the planned order change mode.
Please tell if this helps and revert back.

Go to smsy in solman and there select the groups and logical components and under SAP ECC or SAP ERP ..you can add your system...
before that you need to create the entries in logical components...

Problem in JSF addRemoveList component selection

Hi,
We are using JSF creator studio 2.0. In our project we are using addRemoveList component to display available and selected items.
We are able to display the selected value from available list to Selected list.
uisng Add and remove buttons of the AddremoveList component.
But we are facing the problem is, we are unable to get particular selected or highlighted value from the SelectedList .
However we are able to get all selected items in bakingBean.
This is very very important for us to move further in our development. I really appreciate for any sort of help.

I did it that way (JSC 2):
assuming the add remove component's id is arl and that the components' item-property is bound to a datatable (mysql). The value field is of type Long, the display field is of type String.
Get selected:
get an array of selected objects directly from the component, and then do what ever you like to with that array.
Object[] objSel = (Object[]) arl.getSelected();
int i;
int l = objSel.length;
String str;
for (i = 0; i < l ; i++) {
str = objSel.toString();
Set selected:
Just create an array of objects holding the selected values and pass it to the component. But, attention, you'll need to make sure you're feeding the object array with the correct types of values. In my sample the value is a Long as described above, so I also need to pass in a Long, else the component just does nothing at all.
Object[] selObj = new Object[] {new Long(5), new Long(8)};
arl.setSelected(selObj);
I found this the most easy option to get and set the add remove list selection.
An other quite easy option is to bind the selected-property of the component to any session-bean property of type object-array and then set this sessionbean-property to the approrpiate values. But here you need also to make sure the datatype is correct.

*URGENT -Alternate BOM selection in MRP*

Dear gurus
I have an urgent requirement regarding alternate bom selection.
our scenarion is complete subcontracting and no production versions are maintained and for suppose i have a product X which has 3 alternative boms during the sales order creation iam able to select the required alternative but during the mrp run the system is selecting the alternative "1" by default.I want that during the mrp run also the system should explode the bom which i have selected during the sales order creation not the alternate "1".

Hello Prashant Patil,
If you have more than one BOM (Alternative BOM) and all are meetings (i;e. BOM Lot Size , Bom Status, valid area and period of validity, priority for bom usage in define order of priority of Bom ), in the required settings then the first Alternative will be selected by defualt in the MRP planning run.

List Component Select

I've created a custom inline component to fit inside mx:List
in my mxml. I'm using skinned button controls in the component, and
therefore, want to turn off the selection color effects of the
surrounding list control. Can anyone tell me how to do this please?

Alternative component selection in prodn order based on stock availablity

Hi,
I have defined two components in BOM as ROH1 and ROH2 are alternate of each other with setting ROH1 is with priority 1 and strategy 2 -100% and ROH2 with priority 2 and strategy 2 . Stock of ROH 1 is 10 EA and ROH2 is 40 EA . When I create Production order for FG for 50 EA ,system calculates the requirement for ROH1 and ROH2 as "0" which is correct as per the alternative definition since no component is available 100% .Other way to use probability ,that also is not suitable for the scenario.
Here is it possible to select ROH1 ,10 EA and then ROH2 as 40 EA so that FG can be made in 50EA because components are available for required quantity.
Client wants to select the alternative component based on stock availability so that first it should select ROH1 for the available qty and then ROH2 for the remaining qty .
