Components panel Dreamweaver CS6
I am not seeing any components in the components panel. I've tried creating a new one as well as finding the existing components. Any clue on how to get this to work? Is there a place to define the existing components directory path?

I need the eyedropper tool in Dreamweaver CS6. In all other Adobe programs it is in a Tools Panel on the left of the screen. Where is it?
DW doesn't have one.
Keep in mind, DW's interface is still very Macromedia-esque since it was acquired by Adobe.

Business catalyst panel in dreamweaver cs6 for windows 8 issues
Hello everyone.
I am having some problems whith my business catalyst panel in dreamweaver cs6 for windosw8.This is not the first time i have this issue.
The panel doesnt open wen i click the loggin button as you can see in this video here:http://screencast.com/t/EMaCoMdxQ ,and it has nothing to do whith my bc payed subscription because if i reinstall dreamweaver i know its going to work again whith all the trial modules and everything, cause i did it before.
Before i reinstalled dreamweaver and sometimes it opened and sometimes it didnt.
Is there a fix for this issue.My dreamweaver is the 12.0.something and yesterday i updated it.i also tryed in times before instaling the dreamweaver cs5 businesscatalyst plugin wich i downloaded at the adobe portal but it does nothing, i did this many times too and followed all the instructions step by step.It only works if i reinstall dreamweaver i guess.
Does anyone also has this issue on theyr dreamweaver cs6 12.0 for windows?

Dreamweaver CS3 - components panel not working?
When I try to view the components panel I go through all the signing in for RDS and receive the following error: I have seen this error posted last year but no one responded to the poster? Is there a solution?

The packages and the CFCs within them cannot be listed. There are several reasons that this may occur.
1. The URL prefix (specified when you set up this Dreamweaver site) might be ill formed. Please check the URL prefix by using Define Sites on the Site menu.
2. The URL prefix might correspond to a website where CF MX is not running
3. The URL prefix might correspond to a website to a website that has no CF component. Press the plus button on this panel to create a CF component.I was having the same problem in Dreamweaver CS4/10. I found this article and low and behold it worked!

I had "Separate user name and password authentication (allows multiple users) " enabled in the CF administrator under "Security-Administrator" and "Security-RDS".
After I disabled it/set it to "Use a single password only (default)" for both, I could see all my CFC's.

Dreamweaver CS6 - Common panel has no Media/Shockwave selection
Dreamweaver CS6 - my Insert - Common panel does not have a Media selection. My Insert Media does not have a Shockwave choice. I cannot find any way to insert a shockwave .dcr file. I reinstalled Dreamweaver CS6 and it still is not there. All resources I checked indicate that for inserting Shockwave files to use Insert/Common/Media/Shockwave. This choice does not exist for me, and it is not in Insert/Media, or in the Insert Menu from the menu bar.

MarkIf you have that set-up in the Insert panel, you're using Dreamweaver CC (version 13), not Dreamweaver CS6 (version 12).
The Text category was removed from the Insert panel in Dreamweaver CC because it duplicated features that were available elsewhere. If you're looking for special characters, they're now at the bottom of the Common category in the Insert panel. -
Adobe business catalyst panel in dreamweaver cs6 doesnt open
Hello everyone.
I am having some problems whith my business catalyst panel in dreamweaver cs6 for windosw8.
The panel doesnt open wen i click the "get started" or "mport bc website" button ,just a blank pop up window apears for 2 seconds and then it disapears again.

Why does the reference panel not pop up in Dreamweaver CS6? Help!?
Every time I go to Window --> Results nothing pops up in Dreamweaver CS6 (non cloud member version). Is this not an option for those with a hard copy of the software???
It's there. On Windows, click F7. If you don't see the Results Panel immediately, you may need to resize or close your Properties Panel tab group to make room for it. See screenshot.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 has stopped working
Hello - I am attempting to download and install a trial version of Dreamweaver 6 on my PC running Win7 Pro 32 bit service pack 1 with 4GB RAM and an E6300 processor. I have managed to download and extract the application but once I attempt to launch the program, I get a Dreamweaver panel that says it is installing files, then after a few minutes I receive the error message below and the installation window goes blank.
I have attempted the installation 3 different times using ADA and the direct download methods described in the FAQ's but in every instance, I have been met with this same error. I have disabled my firewall and antivirus but I still get this error. Between installation attempts, I have removed DW6 via the remove programs function in the control panel and restarted my PC. I seem to be able to download the application fine but every time I attempt to run it, I get this error. Any words of wisdom. Thank you.Hey Mylenium I have an update for you. I got the application to start, here is what I did. Thinking the problem might be permissions related, I went to the application directory, C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, and gave full control to all users and cleared the "read only" for the application directory and all files in the subordinate file structure. Then using Windows Explorer, I navigated to a CSS file that I was working on with a text editor. I right clicked the CSS file and selected "Edit with Dreamweaver 6". To my surprise the file opened in Dreamweaver. Since then, I have used DW to create an HTML website with external JavaScript and CSS files. Dreamweaver now opens when I double click the application icon.
Even though I got it to work, I captured a related event from event viewer and the installation log for referrence and the benefit of others.

Creative Cloud pops up with trail will expire in 0 days when I run Dreamweaver CS6
When I click on the icon for Dreamweaver CS6 a panel for Dreamweaver CC pops up with the message “Your trial will expire in 0 days” “00 days remaining. It offers “Buy Now” and “Continue Trial”. When I click the red x to close out I am returned to Dreamweaver CS6.
I reinstalled Dreamweaver CS6 but the problem persists. I do not want Dreamweaver CDC.
I tried to follow the instructions In http://helpx.adobe.com/dreative-suite ... "Creative Cloud Help/Creative Cloud applications unexpectedly revert to trial mode | CS6, CC ..." but I lost the thread.
I am at a loss at to what to do now. Please help.Here are two additional items that may be helpful:
1. I reported that Under Step 3 “Check Your Host Files – Still Have Problems? Reset Host Files” I did not find entries that reference activate.adobe.com. On further checking I found the Notepad file. It contained the following information:

This is odd. What made them think I joined Creative Cloud? The Creative Cloud program is not installed on the computer and I have not downloaded Creative Cloud trial version or a paid version.
GOAL: My goal is to eliminate the CC pop up that occurs every time I access Dreamweaver CS6. I am satisfied with Dreamweaver CS6. I do not want to lose the CS6 capability. I do not want Creative Cloud trial version or the paid version.
So far I have been unable to remove the pop up and I can’t find a way to phone or e-mail Adobe Technical Support. When I received the CC Welcome message, I considered the following approach:
1. Accept the invitation to Get Started and install the 30-day trial version
2. Use the CC Cleaner Tool to uninstall Creative Cloud.
This approach might work. It is equally possible it would further complicate the problem.
Should I accept the CC invitation to Get Started with CC and then use CC Cleaner to uninstall the Creative Cloud program? Is there an alternative approach that will work?

Dreamweaver CS6 on Mac - Retina Display not being used properly.
Hello. I have just installed the CS6 Dreamweaver trial [which I intend on purchasing eventually] and supposedly it is Retina display compatible. However, the fonts and in-program graphics look like crap for lack of a better word. I have checked the "Get info" panel and the box that says "Open in low-resolution" is checked and grayed out so I cannot change the setting. How to I get the program to use Retina properly? It is a fresh install, fully updated, and I haven't changed a single setting, I literally installed it 20 minutes ago. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks!
Currently running OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2Dreamweaver CS6 is not retina ready. Dreamweaver CS6 Cloud version is. Depending on which version you get depends on what you see. If you are not trying the Cloud subscription then what you are seeing is what you will get until CS6.5 or 7 of the traditional licenses.

Dreamweaver cs6 Business Catalyst window
I am experiencing problems with dreamweaver logging into the bc window panel.
I have just upgraded to a cs6 subscription (not cloud).
I am woriking on a mac with osx 10.6.8
I have been working with catalyst for about 3 years using cs4 and the BC extension, but I cannot get it to work.
I can set up a new site, ftp backwards and forwards but I cannot get the bc window panel to display any modules.
It asks me to log in and then proceeds to display contacting server please wait for about 15 minutes until I have to log in again and again to try and get modules into the panel.
It displays the name of the site, admin and log out at the bottom of the panel but no modules.
BC can get it to work at their end with my username and password, I cannot.
I do not have any firewall etc apart from the mac system one and I have added dreamweaver cs6 to the exceptions allowing incoming conections.
The BC support team are as always helpful but it is still not resolved.

P.S When I chose to connect to the server in the files panel it stops the attempt at getting into the BC window panel and logs it out to let me view the remote server...I had a similar problem. I am on a Windows 7 machine and I am using the cloud. I would try to login to the BC Panel, but it would try to connect for about 20 seconds and then go back to asking me for the log in info. As a result, It would not display the modules. I determined, after much trial and error, that I had to run my copy of DW CS6 in the administrator mode. I now right-click the program icon and choose, "run as administrator". Since then, it has run flawlessly. I don't know if that will help your situation, but it's worth a try.

When I click the login button in the Business Catalyst panel in Dreamweaver CS6, I get no response. So I cannot login to access my BC sites via Dreamweaver. Also, when I tried to import a Business Catalyst site via the Manage Sites... Tab in Dreamweaver CS6 nothing happens. How can I correct this?

Please check which version of Dreamweaver CS6 you are using. In case this is Version 12 Build 5842, this should work fine. If this is some other version then please go to following link and download the patch:

The update should help, in case it does not work then you need to contact Dreamweaver support.

Import photos to Photoshop Elements 9 from Canon EOS 500D
