Compose Email from iAd Producer iBooks Widget

I am looking for a simple way to email the content of my text fields/forms from my widget I am creating from the new iAd Producer. I've read that there is a "compose email" action, however, in the iBooks Author Widget creator I can't seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

I've since found that the compose email action is available for the iOS but not for the iBooks author?

Firefox diverts most new windows to tabs, but there is an exception when a website uses a script to specify the window's dimensions or removes some toolbars. To remove the exception, you can make a change under the covers. This could be awkward for genuine dialog windows that don't make sense to view in a separate tab, but if you find it more annoying than useful, you can easily switch back.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(3) Confirm that the '''browser.link.open_newwindow''' preference is set to its default value of 3 (divert new windows to a tab instead), or right-click > Reset to get that value
(4) Double-click the '''browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction''' preference and change the value from 2 to 0 (that's a zero) and click OK

For future reference, the possible values for the window/tab preferences are:
(A) browser.link.open_newwindow
3 = divert new window to a new tab (default) (checked*)
2 = allow link to open a new window (unchecked*)
1 = force new window into same tab
* First checkbox in Options > Tabs
(B) browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction - for links in Firefox tabs
0 = apply the setting under (A) to ALL new windows (even script windows)
2 = apply the setting under (A) to normal windows, but NOT to script windows with features (default)
1 = override the setting under (A) and always use new windows
(C) browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external - for links in other programs
-1 = apply the setting under (A) to external links (default)
3 = open external links in a new tab in the last active window
2 = open external links in a new window
1 = open external links in the last active tab replacing the current page

I'm trying to upload my ad from iAd producer but i get an error

I'm trying to upload my ad from iAd producer but i get that error "This account does not have access to the iAd server." why?
I also tried to access the website of iAd creative management but when i try to login, the page come back to the login page (so i can't access!)

Uploading is available for Advertisers and Agencies with an iAd Account Manager. If you've got an account manager, they can flip the switch for your Apple ID.
If you do not have an account manager, select the Contact Us link in the sign-in dialog.

In on premise Exchange server (Local Exchange) i want send the email using custom address like [FAX:name@/FN=333] from
Outlook Web App(OWA), while clicking on send button i got the error like "The message can't be sent because at least one recipient isn't valid." so i am unable to submit the email from OWA.
but i am able to send the email using custom address like [FAX:name@/FN=333] from Outlook Web App(OWA) of Office 365 exchange server.
what is difference b/w Local Exchange server OWA & Office 365 OWA?
is there any configuration changes needed for Local exchange server?

I created a custom address like Fax:Winnie@/FN=333 in my tab environment, it returned an error about “The address ‘Fax:Winnie@/FN=333’ is not a valid SMTP address”. Please update your Global Address List in Exchange server and if there is any error log,
please provide more information for further analysis.

I need to recover emails from trash; on iBook 21.5; latest OS

I accidentaly deleted all the emails from my wife's iMac. I can see the mails but can't get them back in Mail. HELP!

Worked perfectly...I was not aware the trash for Mail was for only Mail. Learn something new every day!

Upload from iAd Producer fails with error "The Ad contains an invalid banner type".

I worked half a day on an ad in iAd Producer, only to see it fails right after the upload with this error:
"The Ad contains an invalid banner type"
"iAd Workbench currently accepts standard banners. Remove all other banner types and try upload your banner again."
The error and the documentation give no hints on what these "standard banners" are exactly. My project is based on the Tap - Web iAd Blueprint, which requires a bunch of images to be created. I created all of these, regular images as jpeg, transparent images as png. At first the png's were normal (24-bit), but then I read in the help that 8-bit is required. Downgrading the png's to 8-bit didn't help to fix the error though. I also tried recreating the whole project, but it didn't help: same error.
Before the upload, I get this vague warning:
"Are you sure you want to upload your project with assets missing? There are 0 assets you haven't provided yet."
Sounds like a bug. This warning was there in my 1st and in my 2nd project, the 2nd one being the exact copy.
Finally I want to say that simulating in the simulator or Safari, or uploading to the sandbox works fine.
I'm using version 4.2 of iAd Producer on OS X 10.9.2.
Can anyone help me?
Has anyone been successful with the Tap - Web iAd Blueprint?

The Tap to Web blueprint for iPad contains banner types currently not supported in iAd Workbench. Delete the MRec and Full Page banners and you should be able to upload.

How to compose email from forwarded address in iOS/ OS X

I have recently registered a new domain through Wordpress and signed up for e-mail forwarding. While Wordpress does not host e-mail, I have created a custom alias for my existing .me e-mail address. I am properly receiving e-mails to my custom e-mail address that go to my existing .me but cannot figure out how to SEND e-mails given there are no SMTP credentials from Wordpress.
What SMTP server settings do I use to send from a forwarded e-mail address?
My current server settings on iOS/ Thunderbird:
Outgoing: smtp.mail.me.com
Incoming: imap.mail.me.com

Email contacts don't show up when composing email

Hi,
I recently got an iPad2 and added a couple of email accounts including gmail and yahoo mail. However, i noticed a key difference when composing email from an iPad rather than on an Iphone.
On my iPhone4 when I compose an email and in the 'To:' address field I start typing the name of my contact iphone is able to search from my contact list from my gmail account, however this does not happen on the Ipad.
Any idea how to fix this?
I have set-up my email accounts in the same way as I did on my phone.

It also work on the iPad, so try to turn off/on your iPad or a reset, keep the On/off button and the Home button pressed at the same time till you see the Apple logo in your screen.

How can I use WebGLview in the iBook widget template in iAd producer?

Recently I am trying to use iAd producer to create a iBook Author widget. What I need is to show a 3D .obj file in it. How can I do that? Is WebGL supported in the iBook Author template?

It was noted during an iBooks Author / iAd Producer seminar I attended that iBooks had not enabled WebGL content, so I encourage you to request support from Apple:

Alternatively, iBooks Author can present .obj files natively in their own widget:

Obviously, the presentation is limited to the object and not any of the other interesting things you might be able to do with HTML and a WebGL object.

IAd Producer and iBooks widget help

Hello!
I'm trying to use iAd Producer to create a drawing widget for an iBooks project. So far, I've been able to customize the standard drawing object and it works flawlessly on the iAd Producer Preview and in Safari, but not on the iOS Simulator nor the iPad.
In the widget, there are 2 brush sizes available (small and large) and I'm trying to give visual feedback to the user, letting them know which one they selected. Initially I started with buttons but that didn't work because buttons don't have a style for on/off to let the user know that that button is selected.
I switched to radio buttons, which works great on the preview but not the actual device. Here's the code I'm using:

Basically, the brush should become transparent when the user selects it and because it's a radio button, it will stay transparent until the user selects the other brush. The iOS Simulator and iPad are able to render all the CSS correctly, except for when the radio button is ":checked". Background: This is my first widget and I'm very comfortable with CSS but not JavaScript.
How can I make this work?

I have managed to resolve the problem as follows:
All of my iAd content was originally on the Background layer. Placing the content on Page1 has resolved the problem.
I'm not certain as to why the project worked in iAd producer preview/Safari/Widget preview but not in iBooks but no matter, switching to Page 1 solves it completely.
I notice from a few of the problems people have posted that they have a similar situation and wonder if this might be something that would help them. I've not posted replies but wonder if someone more experienced might offer a view.

Creating a youtube widget in iAd Producer for Ibooks Author

Hello,
I am trying to create a widget in iAd Producer to add to my iBooks Author template featuring a youtube video.
I am able to create and save the widget but when I place it into iBooks Author template I get a large gray box with a small black box in the center (the video).
Is there a way to correct this?
How can I eliminate the outer frame?
Any other suggestions on adding a youtube video to iBooks Author?

Sliders for iBook's widget built in iAd producer

I am attempting to build a widget that features sliders (general object) for iBooks in iAd producer. I added sliders in iAd Producer; have a minimum setting of 0.0, maximum of 10, and moving at increments of 0.5. I tested them in the preview funciton in iAd and the knobs on the sliders can be dragged up and down (at increments 0.5 becuase that is what I set it at), but when I export to a widget and drop it into an iBook and preview it, I lose the funciotnality of the knobs in the sliders. I can't drag the knobs back and forth anymore. Does anyone know why? Perhaps I missing an action...?

Works for me. Have you hooked in any code that may be causing a problem?
I dropped a slider and a label on a page then selected the slider and clicked the code button then selected to overrride the Did Change Value event handler and added the follwoing code:

I can slide the knob and the label updates as expected. I did need to tap the widget before I could intereact with it in an iBook but otherwise it works the same for me in an iBook on the device as it does in preview.

How to create an "exit widget" button on iAd producer.

I am creating a widget for a children's book and would like to create a simple "exit button" (an X the reader can touch to close the widget). Thus far I have created the object, but i can't seem to find an an 'action' to associate with the "activated" event that will close the widget and return to the iBook. I realise that a widget can alternatively be closed with a two-finger gesture, but for simplicity in view of my target audience prefer to have the "exit button". Note: I am relatively new to iBooks Author, and totally new to iAd producer. Unfortunately I don't know how to script in Java or HTML yet, but am willing to learn. Can anyone please give me some pointers?

How to save my emails and adressbook files from an old ibook?

How to save my emails and adressbook files from an old ibook (bought around 2002) ?
The screen from the old ibook doesn´t work anymore (logicboard problem I guess).
I saved everything else with starting it in target modus. That worked fine.
I want to delete the files after that as well, because I wanna give away the old ibook and don´t want anyone to read my emails!
Little helpers I have:
A running MacBook
External Screen (and cables to connect)
Fire Wire Cable

Don't know how helpful this will be but I often copy mail from one computer to another, I drag the mail from the mail window to the other computers drop box, then from the other computer double click it and mail asks me what I want to do with it, of course without a screen you'd need to use back to my mac.
If you don't have back to my mac running, you could set up a second user account on the newer mac, import everything via target mode as suggested by c above, and then drag the mail to the first user account drop box.

I have download an iAd Producer 4.1 . and when I trying to make some widgets for iBook Author (or any choices) the work space is disapear and I cant add any objects to it , and there is an error massage shown when trying to go back to overview that says : " there is an unexpected error occured " and it was closed from itself .
I reinstall it again and again and same problem happened . and there is no older version of this app to try it.
