Composing Documents on iPhone

Hi All,
As I live in Canada, I have never seen a real iPhone before, nor do I know anyone who has, so I thought I'd look to some of you south of the border for some help with this...
Is it possible to compose Microsoft Word or Apple Pages documents on the iPhone? I know you can open and view them, but as far as composing them goes I am unsure. If this isn't possible, does anybody know if Apple has it in their plans to make this an available feature for upcoming software updates or hardware releases (maybe a new generation will be necessary)?

No to the composing question and no one here knows what Apple has planned in regards to what will be included with future updates but if someone here is privileged to such information ahead of time, they aren't allowed to say.

Can't open document on iPhone from Pages via iCloud

Trying to open a document on iPhone via iCloud only to get the following error messages from within Pages (iOS version): "Opening this document requires an internet connection". Am connected to internet using WiFi and the Documents and Data field is set to "Yes" in iClouds section of Settings. Document is present on iCloud.com. Tried deleting and reinstalling Pages; turning D&D field to No and back to Yes, rebooting iph00ne

It seems to be hit or miss if this works or not, but try opening Pages on the iPad, then before you select a document, on the very first screen, hit the "Edit" button, then select your document. Then click the arrow coming out of the box in the upper left corner & email the document to yourself. Try opening the email on a computer, selecting the file and adding the pages file type (.pages) to the end of the name. Then try reopening it in Pages.
I don't know if this is what happened in your case, but it seems like sometimes iWork documents lose that file type indicator & then Pages (numbers/ Keynote) won't open them.

You can email it to yourself, or if you have an app on the iPhone that can open Word documents, you can probably sync the document from your computer through iTunes:

Pages Won't Delete or Open Documents in iPhone 5

I have the Pages App on my iPhone. Haven't use it in over year. Launched it. Found two documents I no longer need. Went to edit to delete. Held down one documents I wanted to delete started to jiggle, but the trash can did not turn from ghost to alive, and no dialogue box came up asking me if I wanted to delete the documents. Works fine on my iPad. Can't find help because no document opens. Imported a document with my iphone attached to itunes. That opened, but not the two already on the interface from a year ago. Any help greatly appreciated.

1. I always update, backup, and everything else petaining to my iPhone via iTunes. I see the steps.
2. The Pages App might work, as indeed I imported, added, sync, whatever a document from from Documents.
3. It opened, and worked normally. Deleted normally. Trash can luminated.
4. My current problem is this: on the interface of Pages are two documents. I can't open them nor can I delete those documents when I press Edit. They giggle, but the trash basket does not illuminate. Since I can not delete one document I really want to open (called Acting Actions) I went back and did the add to sequence with the iPhone, highlighting the Pages App. and "adding to" the document Acting Actions I want to open, but can't delete. It did not make the transfer, because I think it realizes that document Acting Action is already on the interface or been imported, therefore
5. I really want to delete those documents, so I make a new transfer.
As to the App Store. I can't see updates in the lower right. If I open the App Store from my dock, I see Updates on top, and that's where it says I can't install Pages unless I upgrade to Maverick.
Lastly, remember Pages current works in the iPhone, via importing a new document. I just don't undersand why these two documents sitting on that interface won't open or delete. Thanks again.

PDF attachments sent from eFax open as a blank document on iPhone

I receive faxes from eFax to my email on a regular basis - I click the attachment, it downloads, displays normally as a PDF, I click it to open - I see a blank document instead of the fax. the pdfs open normally on my computer.
The iphone 3g seems to be opening other pdfs w/o a problem, but not PDF faxes from eFax. Any ideas on what would cause this? or any other ways to open these PDFs?

Have you tried to download the files (typically right click on the link) and open them in Acrobat that way, rather than the plugin to the browser. There may also be an issue with the browser. You did not mention the browser you are using, but might try FireFox or such (assuming you are currently using IE).

Then in VA02,VL02 (edit mode) You can attach the document to respective orders.
If the intermediate Coupling required then 2nd method for this is
CV01N Create the document and attach document to Document no and line NO.

Copying a document to iPhone

I have a Pages document on my iMac (Lion) that I want to copy to my iPhone4 (Verizon). I have the Pages App on my iPhone and want to edit the document on my iPhone. How do I get the document to the iPhone? I have tried moving the document to iTunes and then syncing, but the document won't move to iTunes.

and see if pages offer an add files there?

Saving a Word or excel document to iphone

I currently recieved a word document on my iphone that I want to save. Is there a way to save that document or spreadsheet somewhere on my iphone?

In a word, no.
It must be stored with the received email message, and viewed from there only - at the present time anyway. This may be different after firmware update 2.0 is released in June, but no way to know for certain.

Word and excel documents in iphone

I cannot use wireless connection to download documents to my iphone, as I am not allowed on the organization's network via iphone. Is there an application that I can use to make the iphone visable on the pc screen so I can drag and drop my documents? there are various apps that have integrated Microsoft Excel document viewing, such as AirSharing that was also mentioned above. The best app, however, to actually view and edit Excel-compatible documents (.xml files) on the iPhone is called Spreadsheet. Apple has a paid app called Pages. I have never used it but I guess it will open Word documents and might even allow you to store them on your phone maybe in ibooks or somewhere

Without purchasing the three iOS apps there is no up / download of files to icloud.com possible. The iwork section in the web-portal will stay locked and only show advertises until you own these apps. Then it will transform into a Folder-manager with upload options.

Dropbox won't open Pages 5.1 documents in iPhone or iPad

The only way I have been able to get Dropbox to open Pages 5.1 documents on my iPhone or iPad is to create a file in pages, then export it as a Word document and save it that way. Would love for it just open Pages and avoid the extra steps.

Does Dropbox claim to support Pages files?
If not, you'd have to ask the Dropbox developers to consider adding it to the list of supported filetypes.
