Composite repeator Not identified in Oracle B2B for EDIFACT

HI,
We are trying to parse an custom EDIFACT message through oracle B2B 11.g
B2B is successfully able to parse and convert the EDIFACT into XML; but, it is not able to recogonize the composite separator (group/segment separator are working fine)
ex: Group - Segment - Composite  - Element1, Element2
group and segment repeatations are fine but the composite is not repeating for the second iteration.
any help on this is much appreciated
please do update if any configuration needs to be updated.
Best Regards,
Novshad

Hi Guru's,
Please respond to my problem.

  • Evaluation of Oracle B2B for EDI

    Hi,
I'm evaluating Oracle B2B for EDI compared to other EDI tools. Did anyone use Oracle B2B for providing EDI solution? or did anyone migrate from EDI tools like Gentran to Oracle B2B.
    Please kindly share your experiences.
    Regards,
    Kesary Vanaja

    Hi Kesary
Yes we have sucessfully implemented oracle B2B for EDI. We have lot of EDI trx and flat files flowing through our oracle b2b system.
I can't say whether its better than gentran or not but you need to fine tune it ( in our case oracle dev team helped us a lot) to work it smoothly.

  • [Urgent] ORACLE B2B for Beginners

    Hi,
I am new to Oracle Integration products (Fusion Middlewares). I need to prepare some B2B components using ORACLE B2B. so can you please help me out in finding the following:
    1. From where can we download ORACLE B2B server?(Confused from Oracle website)
    2. What is the procedure for installing it. ? (Is it Stand alone or is there any prerequisties to install ? )
    3. Any user manual with real time examples for Oracle B2B?
    Thanks in Advance
    Balaji

    Hey Jagjit,
There is 2 types of installation
    1. Normal Plain B2B Installation
    2. OID based Installation
    1. Normal B2B Install
    a. For this type of install, you have to select “MetaData Repository” during 101202-infrastructure installation.
b.During B2B installation select only “OracleAS Metadata Repository” .
    2. OID based installation.
For this you have to install your 101202 infrastructures based on OID . i.e.,. During installation you have to select identity management and complete the installation.
During b2b installation choose “Identity Management Access” and provide necessary info like OID Port , OID host name etc.
Please refer above links provided by Ramesh or Narayanan for complete Installation

  • Keyboard repeating not working with latest update for mac?

I just updated my Macbook Pro with a new version of Yosemite and i have come to find that the keyboard repeating function is not working anymore, even with the command: defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false
    in terminal.
Is there anyway to resolve this? I find the other character extremely annoying that they always pop up
    thank you!

The repeating function you want has been off by default since 10.7 was released 3 years ago.  That terminal command should normally do the trick.  Did you logout and login again?

  • Where is partnerDefinedPIPPayloadBindingId value set in Oracle b2b 10g

Hi I am using custom documents to be exchanged over Rosettanet(RSIF). The TP expects the following tag in the service header of the Rosettanet Wire message which is being constructed by Oracle B2B :
    <partnerDefinedPIPPayloadBindingId>
    <ProprietaryReferenceIdentifier>PIDX</ProprietaryReferenceIdentifier>
    </partnerDefinedPIPPayloadBindingId>
This is a mandate parameter that is to be sent if documents are used on RSIF.
I am not able to find a way to set this up anywhere on the Oracle B2B screens. Can someone pls. help.

If I am not wrong then Oracle B2B does not set this header. PIDX implementation guide (http://www.pidx.org/standards/upload/PIDX%20XML%20Implementation%20Guideline%202002-02-14%20V1.0.doc) mentions about "partnerDefinedPIPPayloadBindingId" implementation as -
This data element is used to identify a proprietary binding ID that permits the RosettaNet based parts of a multipart message to bind to non-RosettaNet parts. This element is populated to cover where the trading partners wish to exchange messages based on proprietary document formats (non-RosettaNet Schema) using a RosettaNet PIP.
PIDX requirements support the use of the RNIF Framework but will not use existing RosettaNet PIPs. Given that this is the case, * Trading Partners will typically not populate this data element. *From above reference it does not seem to be mandatory parameter. Still if your requirements bound you to use this header, contact Oracle Support to get help on this.

I haven't see this error for any other client. I have got the following exception being reported from oracle.
Any ideas? I initially thought it was the service, but debugging it in Visual Studio has not shown any exception, MS Exception or buffer overruns.

i think you will need to check your tnsnames.ora file on your client machine. make sure the ip is same as that of one at the server.
also check the listener.ora has the correct ip (this should be same as the server machine run ipconfig/all) .
try to restart the listener on the server.

    Rakesh,
What version of the database are you running? Do you have the required patch installed for your version?

A target database system running one of the following:
Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.5) with required patch
Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.2) with required patch
    Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.3)
    Note:
To use Oracle Loader for Hadoop with Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.5) or Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.2), you must first apply a one-off patch that addresses bug number 11897896. To access this patch, go to http://support.oracle.com and search for the bug number.

  • SOA B2B adapter(send) - B2B console not identifying partners correctly

    Hi there,
    My case is like this.
Trading partner is sending a doc through custom http server which B2B cant reach.
So I wrote a SOA Composite to fetch this xml from remote & then send the document to B2B.(as if partner is sending to host)
I used B2B adapter & send operation for this.
The issue is, B2B is not correctly recognizing the sender trading partner.
B2B engine is assigning the same TP for both sender and receiver.
I am setting Generic Identifier to set the sender/receiver value.
(for example... am using Google as Host & Amazon as Partner.. )
    Properties Set in B2B Adapter:
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.toTradingPartnerId", value is "Google".Sending property "b2b.toTradingPartnerId", value is "Google".
    28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.documentProtocolVersion", value is "Amazon_1.50".Sending property "b2b.documentProtocolVersion", value is "Amazon_1.50".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.documentProtocolName", value is "Custom".Sending property "b2b.documentProtocolName", value is "Custom".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.fromTradingPartnerId", value is "Amazon".Sending property "b2b.fromTradingPartnerId", value is "Amazon".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.toTradingPartnerIdType", value is "Generic Identifier".Sending property "b2b.toTradingPartnerIdType", value is "Generic Identifier".
    28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.documentDefinitionName", value is "PO_Defn".Sending property "b2b.documentDefinitionName", value is "PO_Defn".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.fromTradingPartnerIdType", value is "Generic Identifier".Sending property "b2b.fromTradingPartnerIdType", value is "Generic Identifier".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Sending property "b2b.documentTypeName", value is "PURCHASEORDER".Sending property "b2b.documentTypeName", value is "PURCHASEORDER".
28-Apr-2011 10:43:20 Invoked 1-way operation "send" on partner "SendB2BOrder".Invoked 1-way operation "send" on partner "SendB2BOrder".
    As seen In B2B Console:
    Sender Type     Generic Identifier
    Sender Value     Amazon
    Receiver Type     Generic Identifier
    Receiver Value     Google
    Sender     Google (????)
    Receiver     Google
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ganesh
Edited by: Ganesh on Apr 28, 2011 6:13 PM

Not sure, What exactly are you trying to achieve.
Please check with your TP that url should be http://<url>:<port>/b2b/httpReceiver . "http://<url>:<port>/b2b/httpReceiver" or "http://<url>:<port>/b2b/transportServlet" URLs are used by B2B to receive the http request.
To send the message out from B2B, values should be like this:
    Sender Type Generic Identifier
    Sender Value Google
    Receiver Type Generic Identifier
    Receiver Value Amazon
    b2b.toTradingPartnerId = Amazon
    b2b.fromTradingPartnerId = Google
This means message to going from Google to Amazon.
If still the issue persist, Send the log to my mail.

  • Suggestion needed for processing Big Files in Oracle B2B

    Hi,
We are doing a feasibility study for Using Oracle AS Integration B2B over TIBCO. We are presently using TIBCO for our B2B transactions. Now since my client company planning to Implement Fusion Middleware (Oracle ESB and Oracle BPEL), we are also looking at Oracle AS Integration B2B for B2B transactions (On other words we are planning to replace TIBCO by Oracle Integration B2B if possible).
I am really concern about one thing that is receiving and processing any "BIG FILE" (15 MB of size) from trading partner.
Present Scenario: One of our trading partner is sending Invoice documents in a single file and that file size can grow upto 15 MB of size. In our existing scenario when we receive such big files from trading partner (through TIBCO Business Connect - BC), Tibco BC works fine for 1 or 2 files but it crashes once it received multiple files of such size. What exactly happening is Whatever Memory that TIBCO BC is consuming to receive one such big file, are not getting released after processing and as a result TIBCO BC throws "OUT OF MEMORY" error after processing some files.
    My questions:
         1. How robust the Oracle AS Integration B2B is, in terms of processing such big files?
         2. Is there any upper limit in terms of size that Oracle AS Integration B2B can handle for receiving and processing data?
         3. What is the average time required to receive and process such big file? (Lets say we are talking about 15MB of size).
         4. Is there any documentation availble that talks about any such big files through Oracle B2B?
Please let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Dispatcher count values for scheduling downtime in oracle b2b 11g

    Hi all,
I would like to know if anyone has implemented scheduling in oracle b2b. Please share your suggestions.
    1) What should be the value for 'Outbound Dispatcher Count' & 'Inbound Dispatcher Count' in case of outbound & inbound transactions for large transactions. How do we define this value? Can you give some ratio for this value to this number of transactions? Currently we expect around 8000 messages to flow in span of two hours.
    2) What could be the performance issues that we can come across if any after we are done with this setup ?
    Thanks

8000 messages in 2 hours is not a huge load. Please set the below values before configuring downtime -
    Outbound Dispatcher Count = 1
    Auto Stack Handler= true
    Auto Stack Handler Interval= 1
'Inbound Dispatcher Count' is not used for downtime feature.
There will be no impact on performance.

    Anuj
