  • Composite SAP Note containing important Workflow transactions

    Hello all,
I am trying to create a "Workflow Administrator" role, while simultaneously limiting some existing roles that incorrectly contain workflow t-codes.  Is there a SAP Note or other documentation that contain a list of the most relevant t-codes for SAP Business Workflow?  Such as SWU3, etc?
I checked the FAQ and wiki for workflow and didn't find anything concerning this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Found this link in SAP Help document.

  • Questions about 1003051 - TDMS 3.0 corrections - Composite SAP Note

    Experts:
We, from a big SAP shop, want to set up TDMS for ERP,  BI, HCM and CRM.
We have some questions about note 1003051:
    1) Is this note about ERP (and HCM)  only?  If so, what are the notes for TDMS on BI and CRM?
    2) Should we apply this note to all systems involved: sender, controller (SM7.0 in our case) and receiver?
    3) We have enhp1...enhp4 in our ERP (and HCM), enhp1 on BI and perhaps enhp1 on CRM (not sure yet).
        a)  What is the impact of enhp on TDMS?
        b) should we install TDMS before applying enhp OR the sequence does not matter?
    Thanks for your help!

    1) Is this note about ERP (and HCM) only? If so, what are the notes for TDMS on BI and CRM?
    >This is a composite note, and contains information about various other notes related to TDMS. Refer to each note mentioned in this note individually to assess the same.
    2) Should we apply this note to all systems involved: sender, controller (SM7.0 in our case) and receiver?
    >Depends from note to note, Each note contains the necessary information about the system it has to be installed on.
    3) We have enhp1...enhp4 in our ERP (and HCM), enhp1 on BI and perhaps enhp1 on CRM (not sure yet).
    a) What is the impact of enhp on TDMS?
    >TDMS in standard supports Basis 7.0 systems. However it generally works fine with 7.01 too.
    b) should we install TDMS before applying enhp OR the sequence does not matter?
    >As TDMS 3.0 is only available for systems with basis 4.6C to 7.0. So install TDMS first and then the EHP.
    I hope these answers help.
    Regards
    Pankaj.

The only difference is the addition of more languages not supported by EP 5.0.
EP 5.0 documentation is also valid for these Business Packages.

Business Package for Sales Analysis 60.1 (based on 50.2.1) (see SAP Note 569584)
    2 Prerequisites for Installation
    2.1 EP Platform Release
You can find information about the required platform release, including Support Package and Patch Level, in package documentation or in the notes listed above if they are available.
2.2 JCo-Release (not relevant for EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04 installations on WebAS 6.4 and above)
Download the latest JCO version from http://service.sap.com/connectors.
    3 Preparation for Migration
General information about the migration process:
For EP 6.0 SP 2 and SAP NetWeaver '04 and earlier, see
    http://help.sap.com/ep  > EP 6.0 SP2 >
HTML (English) > Administration Guide > Portal Platform > System
Administration > Transport of Content Objects > Transport Scenarios >
Migrating and Importing EP 5.0 Contents Objects.
From EP 6.0 SP 2 SP3 (including NetWeaver '04), see
    http://help.sap.com/nw4/ > Netweaver '04 > English > SAP Library >
SAP Netweaver > People Integration > Portal > Administration Guide >
Portal Platform > System Administration > Transport of Portal Objects >
Transport Scenarios > Import and Deployment > Importing EP 5.0 Packages
The following information is crucial for preparing the migration process of EP 5.0 Business Packages to EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04.
    3.1 EP 5.0 Business Packages
If you are planning to migrate Business Packages from EP 5.0 to EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04, take into account that in most cases only a lower release of an EP 5.0 Business Package is released on EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04 - for example Release 50.3 is released, but not 50.2.
You find the Business Package release and the required minimum support package release to be able to use the EP 5.0 Business Package on EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04 in this note. You can also see which Business Package release has been released for EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04 using SDN PCP.
Before migrating content make sure that you upgrade your Business Package to the lowest release (50.x) that is released on EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04.
Some Business Packages are not released on EP 6.0 or SAP NetWeaver '04. Others will be replaced by native EP 6.0 releases in the future. For details see "4: A list of EP 5.0 Business Packages which are not released for EP 6.0 or SAP NetWeaver '04".
3.2 EP 5.0 Business Packages with additional language versions
If you want to make use of the EP 5.0 Business Packages with additional language versions mentioned in 1.3, follow this process:
    - Upgrade the Business Package in your EP 5.0 installation to the
release which is released on EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04.
    - Execute Content Migration on EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04.
    - Import the Business Package with additional languages into EP
      6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04.
Personalizing and customizing data is saved in this way.
4 List of EP 5.0 Business Packages that will not be released for EP 6.0 or SAP NetWeaver '04
The following EP 5.0 Business Packages will not be released for EP 6.0 or SAP NetWeaver '04. Supplementary comments are included in brackets:
Business Package for Strategic Enterprise Management (runs in EP 5.0 only, until a native SAP NetWeaver '04 Package is available)
Business Package for Portal Users (see SAP Note 642827)
Business Package for Communication (see SAP Note 640678)
SAP Collaboration Room - general template (see SAP Note 639773)

SAP Collaboration Room - project template (see SAP Note 639773)
SAP Collaboration Room - session template (see SAP Note 639773)
5 EP 6.0 and SAP NetWeaver '04 Business Packages

  • SAP Note 1304803(Security Note : Changing a transport w/o authorization)

    Hi experts,
I have this SAP note downloaded and saved in a local folder on my PC.. I just would like to know if there is any technical procedure on how to implement this patch on our SAP system.
    Thanks,
    Deo Pasion

    Hi
First of all this is a note implementation and not patch.
You have to apply this note using transaction SNOTE.
For doing this, find the procedure at:

  • Performance tuning in XI, (SAP Note 857530 )

Could any one pls tell me where to find sap notes.
I am looking for "SAP Note 857530 "
    Integration process performance(in sap XI).
or how can I view the performance of the integration process ? or exactly how performance tuning is done.
    pls help,
    Best regards,
    verma.

    Hi,
    SAP Note:
    Symptom
Performance bottlenecks when executing integration processes.
    Other terms
    ccBPM
    BPE
    Performance
    Integration Processes
    Solution
This note refers to all notes that are concerned with improving the performance of the ccBPM runtime.
This note will be continually updated as improvements are made.
Also read the document "Checklist: Making Correct Use of Integration Processes" in the SAP Library documentation, on SAP Service Marketplace, and in SDN; it contains information about performance issues to bear in mind when you model integration processes.
Refer to the appended notes and maintain the default code changes by using SNOTE, or by importing the relevant service packs. Note that some performance improvements cannot be implemented by using SNOTE and are instead only available in service packs.

  • SAP BW 7.0 Authorization problem

    HI,
we have the following problem on our project and I hope someone can help us!
    First some input:
We are working with Net weaver 2004s (SAP BW 7.0) and my user has the following profiles S_A.SYSTEM and SAP_ALL. We have loaded the following data model from BC: C0-OM-CCA and are working with info cube 0CCA_C11 (Costs and Allocation. It was possible to load data records from R/3 without errors.
    Now the problem:
If we want to see the content of our info cube (without any selection) we get the following error messages:
Message no. EYE007: You do not have sufficient authorization
Diagnosis: You do not have sufficient authorization for the requested data records.
Procedure: Either select other data records or get the required authorizations from your administrator.
Message no. RS_EXECPETION251: User XX does not have authorization for Info Provider 0CCA_C11
    No further Information.
Does someone know this problem and can help us? Maybe it is really a bug or it has something to do with the new authorization concept of SAP BW 7.0
Thanks for your help and support!
    Jessica

    Hi Jessica,
I would start standard authority tracing for your user in transaction ST01. But the authorization concept changed a lot. You should check
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/61/8c3842bb58f83ae10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Analysis authorization</a> and <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/61/8c3842bb58f83ae10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">New authorization objects</a>.
Personally I would add SAP_NEW to your authorization that contains all new authorization objects or even better switch first back to the old authorization concept via SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP NetWeaver -> Business Intelligence -> Reporting-Relevant Settings -> General Reporting Settings -> Analysis Authorizations: Select Concept.
    Best regards
    Dirk

As itu2019s possible to read in the noteu2019s text, u201Cthis modification is not a function in the standard SAP system. SAP takes no responsibility and provides no maintenance for problems that may occur as a result of this modificationu201D.
So Iu2019d like to know if someone, after having installed this note, encountered any problem.

    Hello,
As you know data and log entries of a MaxDB database instance are stored on so called volumes which are either files or, where this is possible, raw devices.
The benefits of a RAW device is a faster write performance. Also, a RAW device is much more secure because of the direct write to disks instead of caching the writes.  The caching of writes could  cause inconsistencies if a crash occurs.
    Please go at :
    http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/ -> MaxDB Library
-> Concepts of the Database System -> Creating and Configuring a Database Instance
-> Planning the Database Instance < & Technical Restrictions >
At the 'Planning the Database Instance' section in the paragraph 'Database Size and Configuration of Volumes' you will find more information.
And you could see in more details, why we recommend to use raw devices for
data and log volumes in MAXDB on UNIX systems.
Please also review the information at link - MaxDB FAQ (frequently asked questions) on the MySQL site (target audience: Open Source) :
    http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/maxdb_faq.html
< '5.2. How do I configure the database files?' >
SAP customers can find more information in SAP Note 820824.
And if you are SAP customer please review the SAP notes for additional
    information:
628131 SAP DB / MaxDB operating system parameters on Unix
    767598 Available documentation
    748225 Measurement IO times on liveCache/SAP DB/MaxDB DATA/LOG

Hi All have the SAP Notes for executing a equerry in background.
I am not able to analyses the Note. Can any one please help me on this. It is really urgent.
    Following is the Note details.
*Note 537735* - SAP Query: save to file in the background
Note Language: English Version: 3 Validity: Valid from 06.07.2005
    Summary
    Symptom
You want to schedule an SAP Query for background processing and you want to
write the list to a file. You cannot use the save to file provided on the
query selection screen because this type of storage requires a connection
to a front end. However, this type of connection does not always exist
    during background processing.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi again.
    Remember 2 things:
1 - first, you have to go to tcode CMOD, create project Zproject and include there the ampliation. After that you have to activate the project.
2 - second, I think that exit will only be called in background, so I don't think it will stop in a break point.
To test it quickly, create a simple one line file in OS, with OPEN/CLOSE dataset, and then check the target directory.
    Regards.

    Hi Sylvain,
As you told that in the standard webcomponent is HRRCF_C_SEARCH_UI.
There is a view named VW_REG_SRCH...
In this view, there is a ViewContainerUIElement named VC_SRCH_CRITERIA.
You are not able to find the layout inside this ViewContainerUIElement.
For your information the ViewContainerUIElement is used to embed a view , so within this you will not able to view the layout.
When You look in the Tab WINDOWS,you see that for VC_SRCH_CRITERIA, there is
an embed view(or view use) named VW_SRCH_CRITERIA_USAGE_3.
So to find the View - VC_SRCH_CRITERIA, you have to go to the view section within this View - VC_SRCH_CRITERIA is exists there in the component and there you can also see the layout there in the view editor

  • LSMW - cannot be run in background since recent SAP Notes

    Hi
Sorry if this needs to be moved as not really S&A.
We are on a 4.6C R3 system and are in the process of importing Basis Support Package 61 SAPKB46C61 and I now seem to have lost the ability to run an LSMW in background - the thing runs but does nothing and the logs shows errors on a one to one.
I can run in foreground and also 'Display errors only' but that means my laptop becomes a dedicated LSMW machine for the duration of the process (the screen refreshes and locks you into watching a static screen...
There's plenty about LSMW in SAP Notes but I haven't found anything relevant (611 notes on 'LSMW' and 31 notes on LSMW Background. I remember this happening at a prvious client after they applied some SAP notes but they were on a much later release
    Cheers
    David
(Next to Derived and composite roles and custom tables and PID's, LSMW isn't one of my favorites...)
Been looking on Google and found a thread shown below on SDN which may help but I can't check until the LSMW running on my works laptop either completes or fails (86,917 entries)
Run the Lsmw in Background or Jobschedule

    Hi Martin
Looks like it's either me or the table I'm trying to update which is the cause as I can still create a user or a user group in background fine...
I'm not aware of any changes to SUKRI in SM30 - bit out of my depth when it comes to this area unfortunately.
THis is the recording for two tcodes in SUKRI
    Cheers
    David

  • Need SAP Note Explanation

    Hi Experts,
While up grading company db from SAP 8.8 to 9.0 PL10. I got 4 warning messages. I am having little confusion in two messages (SAP Notes: 1729457 and 1934378).
    1) SAP Note 1729457 tells about inventory tracking. Need explanation how it impacts on stock and accounts (if we do/don't reconsile). And what is the      role of consultant here in this stage.
    2) SAP Note 1934378 tells about Fixed Asset. But there is nothing like fixed asset in company db nor depreciation. Please let me know what is role of consultant in this stage.
    With Regards

    Hi,
    1.  SAP Note 1729457
    Reason:
The inventory taking process is changed in SAP Business One 9.0, and therefore the in-process inventory tracking records in SAP Business One 8.82 or earlier cannot be upgraded to SAP Business One 9.0 or later. When ongoing inventory tracking is identified, a warning message appears to warn you against potential loss of data and propose to finalize the counting prior to upgrade.
    2. SAP Note 1934378
    Reason:
If the warning message "Transaction created by the SAP Business One Fixed Asset AddOn for the current fiscal year have been detected” is displayed, it means that in company database, transaction actions are detected which need to be reversed according to the documentation prior to the upgrade.
This is general note for customer. In this case it may not be applicable for your upgrade.
    Hope helpful.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nagarajan

  • Which SAP Notes are included in EHP4 SPS 05?

We are applying Enhancement Package 4 SPS 05 to our ECC 6.0 system -- ABAP only.  According to the documentation, this Package includes Support Package Stack 16.  We are currently on Support Package Stack 13.  Is there a way to get a list of all the SAP Notes that are being applied by SPS 16?  I thought that at one time there was a way to get the list of all the SAP Notes that were part of a Support Package Stack, but I cannot find any links to that information.

You can click on the support package description in the download center to get a list of notes for a specific package but that may be of no use since there are too many (more than 1000 per SP).
I'd rather generate a "side effect" report:
    http://service.sap.com/swdc-addinfo
--> Report on Side-Effects of SAP Notes
