Comprehensive list of EP timeout parameters?

I'm looking to document and comparing timeout parameters across our landscape of 7.3 enterprise portals. However I cant find a list of relevant parameters to look for.  Other than the "session.invalidation.timeout" parameter, what other timeout controls come into play?  Any pointers/suggestions would be appreciated.   -Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to update this.
Because I use Business Objects OEM, I didn't have direct support with SAP/Business Objects.  However, because of this issue (and other issues) we purchased Business Objects Edge 3.0.
After getting BOE 3 installed/configured, I migrated those reports and underlying Business Views over.
And guess what?   The problem still occurred on the new platform.
I then created a support incident and the person that initially tried to help me couldn't figure out what was going on.
However, during that time, I did try re-creating the report using a newer version of Crystal (Crystal 2008) and the problem went away.  (note, I didn't recreate the business views.. just the reports).
So bottom line:
I created all reports from scratch instead of using the reports that I migrated from BO XI R2/CR XI and no longer had the problem.
The techs never figured out the exact cause of the issue.
So far, my experience with their support has been the same on all incidents.  They don't seem to be trained (at least at the 1st level) for actually using the debug/logs/etc to help quickly pinpoint/analyze issues.  They do basically like I do (the end user) and smartly poke around and do trail/error.  I have yet to get a support tech that knew the exact nature of my issue and could solve it without this kind of trial/error approach.

Where is there a comprehensive list of icons that shows what each stands for, represents, or means?
Specifically the small box near the pointing mouse or hand.

That small box is probably the tooltips box discussed in the following thread. See if '''cor-el''''s solution works for you as it did for the original poster in that thread.

  • Where is a comprehensive list of error codes?

I keep looking for a comprehensive list of all error codes sorted by number.  If, for example, something reports an error like "An error of type -1409 has occurred.", it seems there must be a list somewhere of descriptions of errors of type -1409.  Is there?  Does such a list exist?
If not, can you help me understand why not?

Thanks for the suggestions.  I sent Kevin a message...
    Hi, Kevin--
Thank you for compiling a very large list of Mac error codes.  I just got one that's not on your list, -1409.  I'm not sure what caused it.  I got it when I tried to run an AppleScript...
set aFileRef to open for access file "MBProHD:Users:gil:aPackage"
where aPackage was a package, instead of a file.  Not sure what it means.
    --Gil
I  tried Googling "An error of type -1409 has occurred."  It got a large number of hits; however most were of the form "Try this and see whether it goes away."  In other words, no definition.  Then I found one thread where a Senior Member posted a definition without attribution...
    Error: -1409
Macintosh system error (-1409) * Named fork does not exist */ error
The info we have on this error means that some part of the OS is damaged or missing, (assuming that the HD directories & such aren't messed up). Try reinstalling the last big combo update from Apple. It's possible that you will have to do an "Archive & Install" to repair your system files.
Now we're getting somewhere, but where did he get that definition?  The source seems to be a 2010 message on the Adobe Reader Bulletin Board.  The contributor's email is marked "private" and it's not obvious how to reach him or her.
Thanks, WZZZ, for your helpful suggestion.
Back to my original question -- Where's the list? -- I guess we're all disappointed to learn that none of us knows where some Apple employee keeps it.

P.S.-- I just got word back from Mail about my message to Kevin...

Ah, well.  Guess I'm ready to give up now.

  • ASM timeout parameters?

Oracle: 11.2.0.3 non-RAC (Oracle Restart grid home)
    OS: RHEL Server 5.8
Can timeout parameters be set for an ASM instance or for any downstream database instances dependent on an ASM instance? Our storage and sysadmins ran a test (failing over a controller). The Oracle database instance detected a problem reaching +FLASHREC on the NetApp device (it was trying to access a control file evidently). Approximately one second later the database instance decided to terminate itself. The ASM instance remained up. But subsequent checking with ASMCD showed no ASM Diskgroup available using an LS command. After bouncing the ASM instance all was well--the diskgroups reappeared and we were able to restart our database instance. A second seems a bit unforgiving. Can any timeout-related parameters be set on the ASM or ASM-client instance to provide more wiggle room during a controller failover?
Some errors we encountered from the database instance alert log. Further below are errors from the ASM instance's alert log

Thanks Dan. The server had been built recently but not yet released. Testing was uncoordinated but no permanent harm was done. Great group of people and NetApp is new to them. Glad they are testing things like controller failover. But it sounds like ASM may be a victim and not the culprit. If ASM remains suspect during continued failover testing I'll consider opening an SR like you suggested.

  • Comprehensive list of Visual C++ breaking changes in Visual Studio

Where can I find a comprehensive list of Visual C++ breaking changes in Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2010?
The list of breaking changes mentioned in MSDN is not exhaustive.
I would narrate a small incident where I felt the need of having such an exhaustive list.
A third party developer was using the older version of my application which is built in Visual Studio 2005. He was trying to build his own DLL using the API exposed by my application, but in Visual Studio 2010.
The API, unfortunately passes STL objects viz. std::string. We know this is
catastrophic and evidently the third party developer encountered run-time issues with his code- a crash during string manipulation.
After some digging I discovered that that the binary layout of Visual Studio 2005 std::string is different from the Visual Studio 2010 version.
For reasons best known to the third party developer, he was not able to move back to Visual Studio 2005 and insisted on using Visual Studio 2010. For the above issue I suggested him a workaround for std::string manipulations( create a new string class that
will emulate the memory layout of Visual Studio 2005 std::string).
Likewise, I would like to know all the changes (breaking changes) in Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2010 so that I can warn the third party developer about the use of the objects that have changed.

Of course it is even worse that what Mike said:  If you expose STL in your DLL interface, you have to impose a lot of other requirements on the consumer of your DLL (or provide many copies of your DLL each built a different way).  This includes
    things like:
    _HAS_ITERATOR_DEBUGGING
    _SECURE_SCL
    Debug versus Release
Static versus dynamic linking of the CRT
(Actually if the consumer is statically linking the CRT I don't know if you can make STL work at all unless you only use custom allocators as memory allocated by one instance of the CRT will be freed from the other instance of the CRT)

  • Comprehensive list of apps optimized for iOS 8

Does anyone know of a site that is keeping a comprehensive list of apps that are optimized for iOS 8 up to date? Apple's only featuring some of them in the App Store.
I would like to keep an eye on these lists:
    - Apps that use PhotoKit or have a photo editing extension
    - Apps that offer third-party keyboards
    - Apps written in Swift
    - Apps optimized for Retina HD displays
    - Or even just in general apps that take advantage of any iOS 8 technologies (notification center extensions, share extensions, etc)

The first thing to try is resetting your iPad. HOld down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and then try again.
Then you can try to force close the apps, forcing them to reboot and maybe fixing the issue. Double tap the home button. Flick the preview for all the apps up and off the screen until all you have left is the home page preview. Tap on that then try to reopen your apps again.
The last thing to do is a restore. You back up your device, then erase all content and settings, then restore from the backup you just made.  If you've backed everything up you won't lose any data but you give both the apps and the iOS a clean slate.

  • Comprehensive list on enterprise vs. standard features

Is there any sort of comprehensive list comparing features of Oracle standard 9i vs enterprise.
It is easy to find the high level add ons like partitioning. However I know that at one time bitmap indexes were only in enterprise, is this still the case. Also query re-write, all materialized view functionality, com automation etc. It is very difficult to make the decisions without the ability to compare the functionality.
    Thank you

No the Enterprise License is for a single server with up to
    two(2) CPUs.
Four(4) CPU's on a single box requires two licenses.
Enterprise has the ability to create multiple instances of
    ColdFusion
running on the same box. You could have seven instances on a
    physical
each doing their own thing, if you had a beefy enough box.
There is a difference between Standard and Enterprise on
    boxes with
virtualization as well, but I am not confidant enough in this
    aspect to
    offer a recommendation.

  • Comprehensive List of Oracle/OCS Portlets

    Hello,
I am looking for a comprehensive list of all prebuilt portlets available for Oracle portlet, particulary for OCS. I have seen it stated that there are 250-400 existing portlets, but haven't found them all listed in one place.

  • List view - filter with parameters

    Hi,
I need to define a list view to filter data with parameters.
I saw how to do it with the SPD in another post
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/92271aa4-6582-4ea5-a10f-deaf02d2b62c/filtering-the-list-view-by-passing-date-parameters-using-sharepoint-desginer-2010?forum=sharepointcustomizationprevious
But  need to do it in visual Studio (via definitins or Object Model).
How can I do that in Visual Studio?
    Help is really appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    DD

    Hi,
According to your description, you might want to create a list definition with the filter value from query string from URL. Then when you create a list instance with this list
definition, you will be able to filter the list view page by appending parameters to the URL in the address bar.
You can achieve this through modifying the Schema.xml file in the list definition project in Visual Studio like this:
How to create custom list definition
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/gg276355(v=office.14).aspx
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/412429/SharePoint-Create-List-Definition-and-Instanc
    CAML Query Schema
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ms467521(v=office.15).aspx
Then we can filter the list with such an URL:
    http://sp/Lists/List1/AllItems.aspx?Param1=2014-08-24&Param2=2014-08-28

  • Is there a comprehensive list of compatible cameras to connect via firewire?

is there a comprehensive and up-to-date list of compatible cameras to connect via firewire that will work with FMLE?
    I saw this -http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashmediaencoder/FME_DeviceMatrix.pdf
but it's out of date and limited in scope... any more information?
    thanks
    Josh

I'm in the process of trying to get this information for a client. Even with a paid AppleCare agreement, the only answer I'm getting is "look in the forums" and "look on the developer site" (although I have to give credit to the Tier-1 rep who's trying to help me.) The impression I'm getting is that they consider an exact list of header names to be proprietary information for some reason, and are going to great pains to try not to give out the information, but also to not create ill will amongst their customers by explicitly saying "that's proprietary".

  • Filtering sharepoint list data using report parameters

We are using xml to pull data from a custom sharepoint list into sql 2005. We have set a parameter that allows the user to filter the data by surname, however when the user tries to filter the list the drop down box brings up a list of every record, so there are duplicate entries for each surname.
Is there a way of filtering this so that there is only one instance of the users surname instead of it showing all the records?
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • List of all service parameters for Integrated ITS

    Hi,
I am looking for the complete list of service parameters for Integrated ITS, with explanation about each of them. Ex: ~command, ~sap-user etc. I have tried searching in help.sap.com and in this forum and SDN blogs. I could find only some of them. I am not looking for anything particular right now. If I have the complete list it would help me to refer the list if I need any one in particular.
I would really appreciate if anybody can help me in this search.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sudhakar.

    Hello Sudhakar,
The best location for ITS Parameter documentation is the online SAP Library at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/54/4d9993c6592941a407313a6763575c/frameset.htm
Here under "Configuration" you will find a list of parameters for developers and administrators.

  • Creating List of Values for Parameters in Crystal Report

    Dear All,
I have created a Report using Crystal Report XI and integrated that with VB Dot Net.  It uses a Stored Procedure (SQL 2000) to retrieve data.  The stored procedure has some parameters.  When I run the VB dot net exe, it prompts for the parameters.  However, I like to pass a List of Values to the Parameters, which the end user must select from the same.
How can I create a List of Values and attach to the Crystal Report.
Please help me in this regard,
    Naren.

Are you trying to set a bunch of default values (e.g.; 1st name, last name, address, order number, etc.), or an actual List of Values?
Also, remember to search the forums for possible solutions. When I enter "parameter" in the search box, I get over 7 pages of links...
The [notes|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_ossnotes&query=&adv=true] database and [articles|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessobjects-articles] are great information resources also.
Oh, and confirm exact version of CR used.
