Compressing Apple Store m4p to ac3

I'm wondering if there is any way to compress/convert music purchased through the ITunes music store to a Dolby ac3 file. I'm having a devil of a time using music purchased from ITunes as background music for slideshows/videoclips on a DVD that I'm doing, as I keep getting "video bitrate too high" errors when I try to build the disc. But I have yet to figure out a way to convert the file to something I can convert to ac3 short of burning the music on a CD and then extracting it to an .aif and converting it (which is a waste of a CD, but if that's the way I have to go...)
Any ideas on programs, methods, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

ITunes and Match not playing Apple Store purchases all the way through

Hi! I recently noticed that several (but not all) of the m4p songs on my computer will not play all the way through, with the music ending 30 seconds to 2 minutes before the end of the song. I decided to try Match thinking this would solve the problem (since they were purchased from Apple, Match is supposed to provide a clean copy, right?), but the songs cut off at the exact same point through Match as well. On my computer the song ends abruptly and switches to another. On my phone, with Match, the song either stays blank as it counts down the rest of the track or switches to another one while the information on the first song stays on screen until the point where it should have ended.
For a specific example: Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence off the album 1996 is a classical m4p. iTunes stops playing it 1:45 from the end. The stop and start times are listed correctly. It played correctly when I first purchased it from the Apple store in 2005.
Any help fixing this problem would be appreciated.

Can't boot into Windows 8.1 partition after apple store repair
I went to the apple store about a week ago to get my screen fixed, and when I get it back I don't have an option to boot into my windows partition. The bootcamp partition is still there, but I can't boot into it. I can still see all of the files on the drive. When I try to boot into windows from the startup disc setting I get "no bootable device — insert boot disk and press any key” on a black screen. I went in for a dead pixel, and the guy at the genius bar ran something on my computer and went into disk utility application. I’m not sure what he was doing, but obviously that’s what messed up my windows partition. How can I be able to boot back into windows? Here's what disk utility looks like on my computer.

Apple store downloads and MP3

Anyone know how to convert apple store downloads from M4p to MP3 format? This is really annoying and this is the only message board I could find that even resembles this topic...
Better yet, does anyone know how I can get in touch with apple to talk to them about this problem? I'm getting really annoyed with their lack of support for any of their products..

doesn't that just delay the widespread distribution of these files? anyone can just burn it to a CD and re-copy it in a new format... It seems like using this odd frormat provides an illusory sense of protection at the expense of people like me who can't afford a $200 ipod - my nice, cheap and trustworthy mp3 player doesn't seem to read that format...
sounds less like a method of protection and more like a marketing ploy to get people to buy ipods...
I love the computers, but am getting increasingly frustrated with the company.
needless to say, I don't think I'll be using the itunes store again, and I'll encourage my friends to do the same until Apple gets a sense of ethics and starts to respect its customers.

While going to the US for the summer, I went to the San Francisco Apple Store.
I saw the Apple Gift Cards, and I was wondering if they would work on my Taiwan Apple ID, so I bought a $25 gift card and a 4 cards bundle pack each with $10 inside.
But then now, coming back to Taiwan, I realised the gift cards was only valid for US users so I asked for support from Apple
and this is what they replied:

My new iPhone 5 is currently having problems with the wifi. I can't connect to my home network unless I am right next to the router. Even then there are only one or two bars. It might help to think of the Apple Store Genius Bar in the same way that you would think of an auto mechanic's service bay. Imagine that you have towed in a disabled car to have it fixed. When the repair is done, the mechanic hands you the keys to a different model with a different engine and different option package. Great deal right? As I'm sure you can imagine, real life does not work this way.
You will only drive out with the same model that you towed in. If you want a different model, your solution is not in the service department, but on the sales floor. The Apple store is no different.

That is just the most recent problem. Other problems are the screen freezes all the time, and it won't scroll or do anything. Another is my keyboard lags as I type. another problem, is with some of my apps are constantly crashing. And It is not the apps itself per se, because my friends can be using the same app, and they are fine. Another would be emails not pushing. I will have some emails that show up, some will say I have new emails, but open to check and nothing there. Then other times i will have like 17 emails all show up at once, with some being sent days before. Another problem is my Wifi turns itself off all the time. Even when I am sitting less than 10 feet away from the router. And When I add new contacts, they are visible for a few days, then all the sudden they are nowhere to be found. Sometimes it will at least save the number in my contacts, and no name or other info. And other times it doesn't save anything. These are just a few of the many problems.
Because I got this phone shortly after the new IOS7 update, I thought since I had read about problems others were having after updating, may have been the reason I was having some initial problems. But they have only grown to more problems, and not getting better.
Has anyone else had these same problems? Do I just have a bad phone? If you have had any of these problems, were you able to get a fix and how? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

There are three models of MacBook that comprise the 'macbook 4.1' category, and each of them a little different; however other than 'macbook 4.1' the other thing they have in common is they all are considered Early 2008. Two are white, one black, polycarbonate case, Core2Duo 2.1GHz, 2.4GHz white, 2.4GHz black.
So if you can determine which one, if any of these, is the model build year and spec you have, that would be handy. Did you tell whoever you spoke to the serial number of your computer, so they'd know by looking up the specs to see what the supported maximum RAM upgrade capacity was, and other minimum requirements to make any upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6.8 at all?
If you have the serial number you can do a lookup to 'indentify by serial number' online, and use that information to determine if the computer needs even more RAM to take it past the minimum for Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and then get it ready to upgrade (via paid download from App Store, Snow Leopard gets you that far) and see what the next supported OS X full upgrade would be for the hardware limitations on that old MacBook.
If your MacBook IS a 4.1 build, the highest OS X it could run if it has the 2.4GHz cpu, is Lion 10.7.5. That would be an upgrade from the App store, available to OS X 10.6.8+ computers that access it online. And I kind of doubt how supported a newest iphone etc may be in lion.

The Apple? store or whoever you talked, to may have been as accurate as they could be without further research. Could be you may have a newer or older MacBook, which would change whatever later OS X it could run past 10.6.8. And to go past Snow Leopard, you need to download the last bits for 10.6.x to be able to go and get any later upgrade. The ones that may let a newest iphone or ipad work with it, are past SL10.6.8
Anyway, as you further verify the model build year and configuration specifications, report back.

Is there any way to find out if an apple store can replace a macbook air battery whilst you are there before you go there?

My MacBook Air has come up with the Service Battery warning and isn't holding charge as well as it used to. I expect the battery needs replacing.
How do I find out if an applestore can replace it there and then?
I've been told I need to go online to book a genius appointment, and online the nearest apple store is one that can service macbook air laptops. However, when I go online and select book genius appointment for mac at this applestore it says "There are no available appointments at this store".
When I speak to apple on the phone, I am told, it is not possible to tell me on the phone whether apple stores have spare batteries or not for my macbook air.
On Tuesday I may have time to go to this apple store (Liverpool) without a genius appointment, but not to the next city (Manchester Trafford Centre). When I look for appointments at the Trafford Centre, the only available slot in the next 7 days is on Friday which I cannot do as I am not in the country. It is not possible to book further forward.
So, I really don't want to be going on a wild goose chase trying to find somewhere that can provide and fit a new battery.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated as to how I can get a new battery fitted for my macbook air as soon as possible.
As this is not a rant or complaint (my previous post was removed), I also would like to clearly provide the same constructive criticism as included in my previous post. When the problem "Service Battery" is highlighted by the laptop, in this "connected world" we live in, I think excellent customer service would be being able to book a genius appointment from your laptop with 1 or 2 clicks and also to be able to buy and reserve a battery to be fitted there and then.

call them, tell them you NEED a new battery installed, and they need to tell you when they can do it. That is their job to help you! Give pushback if necessary.

What if you can't sign in to your order from Apple Store?

I can't sign in to Apple Store with my Apple ID; I can sign in everywhere else except there.
I have a $1,151.00 order pending, and it's shown there when I enter order number, but then to make changes or correct the address (and many other things) it asks you to enter with your Apple ID. I try this but my order is not shown there.
And of course there's absolutely no email address where you can send questions for such a problem; in fact, there's not even a forum for Apple Store where you can POST a question like the one I'm posting here. (I just posted it here, in desperation, because it's iPads that are part of my order; no where else to ask such a question !!!)

Unless I misunderstand the question, you can't do what you're asking to do. Apple doesn't allow you to bypass their store and host public apps on a website. The exception is an enterprise app, which requires an Enterprise account with both Apple and Adobe. This type of enterprise app can be distributed only within the company. If that's what you want to do, you can learn more here:

Another option is to add the development app to several devices and use those for your demo.
