Compression failed message when downloading zip files. Any suggestions never had this issue before.

Hi using a site i always have used when downloading something it downloads then when it is about to open the zip file it says decompression failed. Any suggestions i googled many solutions nothing seemed to work.

A restart shouldn't do any harm at all, since you sync everything make sure you don't restore.

I was using IPhoto looking at creating a Book when I uploaded the book for purchasing the site froze. I stopped the upload turned off computer and when I restarted the computer IPhoto dissappeared. I called Apple and the lady talked me through restoring IPhoto. She found it in the trash.It worked fine for a day or two, I uploaded more photos from Nikon camera closed IPhoto and now it won't open. The App Store trys to open it but it times out and won't connect.

Try dragging a photo to the desk top, highlight it and press COMMAND I this will open the info window, in the drop down menu "open with" select either preview, or other, then select iPhoto. Preview is the default.
Then click "Change All"

For the past 20 months we have loved the 25/25 speeds that we have paid for. We always get 31/25 via the Verizon Speed Check web site. For the past week, speeds have dropped to 3-5mpbs. This means, that iPhoto cannot find your iPhoto library. You need to point iPhoto to the location of the library. Have you checked in the fInder, if your iPhoto library is still where it is supposed to be by default, in the Pictures folder, and called iPhoto Library.photolibrary? Or have you moved your library somewhere else and renamed it?

i can't think of anything else to add. i've always been able to use full screen mode in firefox, it still works on vimeo and it still works on NEtflix..

What happens when you try to use full screen mode -- button is ineffective, video doesn't display, etc.?

OK, after looking into the settings on "my account" on the Verizon website, it appears that "caller ID" was removed from my "features" on my line. The only reason I actually noticed this is because I have the same phone as someone else on our account, so I looked at their features and noticed mine was missing. Dave, same problem here. And I did go in as admin to Administrative Tools, Services, Apple Mobile Devices and tried restarting the service. It seems there is a bug with the newest update, period. All of the normal "easy" steps don't work. Before I remove all of Apple's programs, including Bonjour....I'm running a full system scan.
But the answer will be to remove all of the Apple stuff, then reboot, then use whatever utility you have to remove all temp files...then go download and install it again. This has worked for several people (I read the thread before posting). Win 7 64bit. It just seems that Apple did not thoroughly test this new version. Period.
If Apple reads this...I have many computers...and whenever Apple wants to update something...it just about stops everything else that is going on. Total memory hog, even with 16G RAM and dual quad core processors. It has to learn to play nice with others.
After the scan and I'm sure an hour or two of work...I'll re-post.
Of course if you do image back-ups, as I do, you can simply restore your drive to its previous state and run the previous version of iTunes, declining the update, until Apple gets it right. Depending on the size of your drive, this could take hours. It is a matter of choice, of course.

I had the same problem (freezing iphone when trying to unlock) today.
1) I made a backup of my iphone using itunes.
2) Went to my service provider and made a sim swap. So, I think there was a problem with the nano simcard.

I did not leave anything out from the error message. It doesn't point to a specific file, it just ends with "(x86)..." Every time I boot up my computer, this error message pops up on my desktop.
How do I repair this issue? I have found multiple suggested solutions but am unsure which one is the best, and I don't want to try a bunch of different things for fear I may make the problem worse. I would like to try and fix this myself if possible but I need to know if that is really possible or if I need to take my computer to someone for repairs.
