Compression type: None

I always choose "Compression Type: None" when exporting my animations in Anime Studio -- but in OS X Lion, that option is gone. What gives? Surely it's not up to OS X Lion to decide how I export my stuff?
Does anyone else have the same problem?

sorry for any confusion, i probably have some terminology mixed up.
lemme try more details
1. 1080 none-compressed video plays back full speed inside of FCP on the canvas. the drive and system speed is fine (i have a 3-drive striped internal raid and a fourth drive for my system)
2. if i have my "Video Playback" set to "Digital Cinema Desktop Preview" and then go to "External Video-All Frames" (or command+F12) it wil only show the current frame and does not update on playback
3. if i change the sequence compressor to Apple ProRes and render down and repeat step 2, it plays back to the second monitor fine.
nothing on the uncompressed sequence needs to be rendered, so i don't think that is the issue. spark any new thoughts?
thanks!

  • TIFF unsupported compression type

    Dear all
I want to get the RGB values of every pixel of a TIFF-File. Therefore I use JAI. My first steps are...
    PlanarImage image = JAI.create("fileload", in_path);
    BufferedImage bufferedImage = image.getAsBufferedImage();
...because in other cases (JPEG, PNG, BMP) I used a BufferedImage to get the RGBValues.
But when I execute this code I get the Exception below. I founded that the 'unsupported compression type' perhaps means that the tiff file has non-bilevel data.
    Can you help me?

When I try to import mxf files into premiere, it comes up with the message unsupported compression type.
These files originally came from d5 tape and I'm not sure what the process is from there, but adobe usually supports mfx files.
Is there another step I need to take because the footage originates from film?
you probably have the same problem i am, i have some avid DNxHD mxf files from a cinedeck recorder that are not loading into premiere for me either.

  • Error message: 'Codec not found. You may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card' - then - 'Error. Out of memory'

Hi all. This is a new error I've never seen before.
It's stopping me doing anything at all really.
As soon as I start up FCP and click on a sequence I get this message: 'Codec not found. You may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card.'
Then I click on OK and it says 'Error - Out of memory.'
I've heard rumours that it could be the fact I'm using a strange type of JPEG, but it still happens with PNGs.
I've made sure my scratch disks are all going to the right place. I also have 100gb of free space.
The version of FCP I'm using is 6.0.5. I'm using an iMac with OSX 10.4.11 (yes, I know it's old!) and I've downloaded the latest version of Quicktime.
Help, anyone? I have an assignment due in tomorrow.
    Many thanks...

p.s. having looked at other posts, perhaps I am missing some (or all) of the relevant codecs?
In the folder Macintosh HD > Library > Quicktime
there is basically nothing. Do you think this is the problem?
If so, where do I download FCP codecs from?
    Many thanks..

  • Problems started with 'Corrupted Project' and has led to 'Unsupported Compression Type" for certain .mts files

Had to revisit several projects that were working this past January, but now several are reporting as being 'corrupted'. After trying all of the usual recommended remedies, and failing, I attempted what is always my 'last resort' - Trashing Preferences. Last resort because it has always in recent versions, led to other problems. This time was no exception. Now, not only did trashing them NOT solve my corrupt project issue, but it added a couple more. Now, MB Looks plugin can't be seen, which has happened nearly every time I've trashed preferences, and certain .mts files are showing as being the dreaded 'Unsupported compression type', while many in the same folder are working just fine. This almost always seems to be a license issue of some sort. I have signed out of CC, then signed back in to no avail. My short term memory is nearly gone, but I seem to recall a similar set of occurrences a few months ago, and a uninstall/re-install was required to bring everything back to normal. This is getting quite old, as am I.

  • Incorrect results after compressing a non-cumulative InfoCube

    Hi Gurus,
In BI 7.0 After compressing the non cumulative InfoCube its showing the incorrect reference points .leis_03_bf (pintail stock moments)  showing as the reference points(opening Balance) after compressing  as no marker update. Due to this its showing in correct result in reporting.please suggest me .
    Thanks
    Naveen

    Hi Nirajan,
First of all as I undestood 2LIS_03_BX is the initial upload of stocks, so there is no need of delta load for this datasource, it collects data from MARC, and MARD tables when running the stock setup in R3 and you ahve to load it just one time.
If between delta loads of 2LIS_03_BF you're loading full updates you are dupplicating material movements data, the idea of compression with marker update is that this movements affects to the stock value in the query, it's because of that when you load the delta init you do it without marker update because these movements are contained in the opening stock loaded with 2LIS_03_BX so you dont want to affect the stock calculation.
You can refer to the How to handle Inventory management scenarios in BW for more detail on the topic.
    I hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Carlos.

  • Which compression type should I use?

    Hello~
I'm saving Keynote presentations to QuickTime for viewing on the web. Under the Compression Type menu there are 14 different choices to choose from, Animation to PNG. Apple is big to push the H.264 codec, but I'm getting mixed results with it as it washes out and fades all of my slides. For the life of me I can't find the reference material that explains when its best to use a specific codec; does anyone know where I can find this info? I've googled, searched apple.com and can't find a direct answer to this rather direct question. Even generalized guidelines would work for me at this point....
    Anyone?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rich

  • Material type non valuated affected stock update?

    Hi expert,
i created PO by using account assignment "A" and material number with material type non valuated (just qty update). At the same time i processed GR, the result wasn't as like as i expected. The asset value was raised and the qty was updated in the warehouse.
Surprisingly, this result (qty update in warehouse) is also affected by using account assingment "K" & "F".
As i know, the business process by using account assignment means consumption and stock mustn't be updated  in warehouse. So how could the material type non valuated's stock can be updated at the time i m doing consumption purchase? is there any config i miss in order to make it doesn't update the stock?
    thanks & Regards,

  • BEST COMPRESSION TYPE THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE QT 7?

    Hi,
I'm trying to find the best Compression Type for Quicktime export - my aim being to get good picture/low file size.
H.264 seems brilliant for this but as Tom Wolsky has pointed out it needs Quicktime 7, the very latest Quicktime, to be viewed.
I've tried Sorenson Video 3 but can anyone recommend a Compression Type that's as good as H.264 and doesn't need the latest Quicktime?
    Many thanks,
    Mark

In my opinion, MPEG-4 is one of the best codecs in the QT suite. It was released several years ago, so compatibility is pretty high, but the quality is second only to H.264. Also, it's quite efficient; it encodes much faster than Sorenson 3, and it plays back very well on older computers. The latest version of QuickTime for pre-OS X computers included the codec, so you can be sure that it will work on older systems as well. The filesize and quality are not quite as good as H.264, but if you're looking for better compatibility, MPEG-4 is definitely the way to go.

  • AVCHD "unsupported compression type" ???

I just moved a large project from one system to another and all of a sudden all the AVCHD media shows up as offiline. Other media in the project that came in as .mov files shows up fine.
When I try to relink the missing clips, I keep getting a "the file has an unsupported compression type" dialog. I created a test project and can import the AVCHD media into it and work with it on this system. But my original project will not link to the same media on the system.
I also deleted the media cache and media data folders. But that doesn't help either.
Meanwhile I can go back to the original system and the project and AVCHD files will open fine.
Both systems are i7 iMacs and the media is accessed from a shared server which we've been using this way without a problem for 3 months.
Does anyone have any ideas on what might be going on?
Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
    Thanks!

    Thanks Vinay!
That works! I moved the .mts files into their own folder outside of the PRIVATE/AVCHD folder and they will now link to the clips in the timeline.
So for future reference I assume we should pull the media out of the AVCHD folder structure, correct?
The only thing is ... it appears that I have to relink them one clip at a time. I have the relink automatically button checked, but it doesn't seem to be working. It's going to be a long afternoon if that's the case. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks again for the help and rapid response!

  • PPro CC says "the file has an unsupported compression type" in one project only - .mts files

Had to re-install Ppro CC to alleviate some plugin issues. Now, one of my projects that is comprised mostly of AVCHD files(.mts) are offline, and when I attempt to relink, I get the "the file has an unsupported compression type" message. But, all other projects with the same file types are fine.
I can open another project, or start a new one, and import the .mts files from the errant project with no problem. I have also tried importing the errant project into a new project. I have trashed preferences. I have signed out of CC, then signed back in.
I'm at a loss of what else to try. Any ideas?

    Ah well...
This forum has the same effect that my father did when I was a kid. As soon as I posted the above, I tried to open the errant project again, and the .mts files are now online. Same as my Dad and my car - it would be broken, and all he'd have to do is climb in and crank it, and I'd look like an idiot.

  • Unkown TIFF compression Type

I just tried dropping a tiff from bridge into ai cs3 and got this message
"Unkown TIFF compression Type". I tried resaving the file from PS as LZW and then when I tried placing it again, I got this error
"Planar lzw cmyk tiff files not supported in this release"
All of the other tiffs I've placed from this same provider have been fine (so far anyways)

Save as again. Change pixel order to Interleaved.
Adobe Illustrator can't read Zip compressed TIFs or images saved using Per Chanel pixel order, even though Adobe's Bridge, InDesign, and Photoshop can. Illustrator is also alone in those programs for not being able to read LAB images or 16-bit TIFs. Weak.

  • THE FILE HAS AN UNSUPPORTED COMPRESSION TYPE

    Hello frnds,
I am having an issue here in Premiere pro CS5. In CS5 new features they said we can import DVD format files into premiere pro CS5 without converting into any format but when I import my DVD files it gives me an error message saying that: THE FILE HAS AN UNSUPPORTED COMPRESSION TYPE.
Is there anyway I can sort this problem? pls help me....

Are they on your hard drive(cause running from DVD is begging for trouble)? what size are they? and what was the source you got them from? If all else fails, just convert em over(I hate working outside of the standard formats).

  • Dbms_comp_advisor shows unknown compression type for "ARCHIVE LOW"

I am working on the compression advisor packages in exadata
    Sample:
    dbms_comp_advisor.getratio('TEST1','TEST2,'OLTP',10);
The output of the code is
    Sampling table: TEST1.TEST2
    Sampling percentage: 10%

    Estimated Compression Ratio: 3.48
But for Archive Low it says unknown compression type

    SQL> exec dbms_comp_advisor.getratio('TEST1','TEST2','ARCHIVE LOW',10);
    Unknown Compression type.

I believe you need to use the DBMS_COMPRESSION package.

  • File Import Failure; File has unsupported compression type!

I completed editing my movie about two weeks ago did all the colour correction audio etc last week, and aim to complete the sutitling tomorrow!
But now the problem is that my some of my files are now offline and can't be relinked because I get an error message which says "File Import Failure; File has unsupported compression type"
These files are .MTS which I believe are AVCHD.
So I don't know what has happenned here. Is it the recent update that has caused this or something else?

This have happend to me twice now.
If I remember correctly it have to do with Cloud membership in my case. Both times I have been away on work and when I get home I have a email stating that payment have failed. After I set it right I start up Premiere and I get this failure.
First time the solution was uninstall Everything Adobe and run clean script. Reinstalling did the trick.
That solution is not working in the long run.
Here Adobe needs to do something soon!
