Compressor is "Waiting".

Question

Can't give any real info.
I exported a 20 second DV-PAL clip to Compressor as I have done numerous times before, selected the usual DVD setting plus Dolby audio, clicked submit and waited.
After a while when nothing seemed to be happening I opened Batch Monitor and was greeted with the job status of "Waiting".
As there are no other jobs and the computer is doing nothing else, has anyone got any idea why it should be "waiting"?
It has always worked flawlessly for the past year ........ and no, I have not updated anything recently.

I don't know whether your message telepathically helped!
I had submitted several identical clips in order to try and get them to work.
I had also deleted them from the job list in disgust and put the computer to sleep.
A short while later my wife asked me to check the emails. As I was starting to read the first one, I could see FCP and Compressor pop up in the background and when I hid Mail I could see that the apparently deleted jobs were being processed!!!!!!!!!!
This must have been happening whilst you typed your response!
I checked that the Compressor produced files worked in DVDSP and did another test just to verify that everything was back to normal.
The only problem I have now is that an attachment in the email won't open!
So it could have been the dodgy email attachment that cured Compressor ......... or maybe I'm just going completely insane!
Somehow I have a feeling that this is one of those cases which will forever remain a mystery.
