COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW on MIRO. Any SAP NOTE?

Hi,
I'm getting a COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW dump with the  the CX_SY_ARITHMETIC_OVERFLOW exception when doing a MIRO process.
The user is using huge values in the PO and the error is related to a multiplication between this values. (EKTE table is hoding the huge value that is greater than 1 billion).
I see no ABAP solution at this moment. A friend said that we should have some SAP note to make the field greater.
Does someone knows about this note?
below we have more details related to the DUMP:

Thanks in advanced!

Hi Rob, Thanks for answer.
Unfortunately, I do not have access to do that. The MM functional asked for the ABAP leader of the project for look for it...
I asked here because maybe someone had a common problem and want to share the solution. I'm not lazy If I could look at the note sure I would did!
Does someone knows this error or something related on this?
Thanks in advanced!

  • How do remove commitment value in the PO ? any SAP note avl?

    Hi,
Project (WBS)releated service PO (Account assignment category P and Item category D), in which SES,GR,IR have been completed for entire Project services for the year 2005,PO history also updatd for SES, GR,IR in the 2005 only. But Now system is showing still commitment value in the PO for the year 2009?.
Henece how do remove the inconsistency of the  commitment value in the PO for the year 2009?. (i.e value is comming from COOI table entry). Is there any SAP NOTEs are available for this case?
    Note:
But this case no PR has been refered in the PO. PO has been directly created, and PO  QTY,Value changes have not been done after SES,GR,IR completion.
But still system  commitment value is showing in the PO for the year 2009, so HOW do remove the value?
    i am looking suitable answers.
    Regards,
    kumar

    Hi,
Pre-requisites for a commitment update are:
o  In transaction OKKP, the commitment management indicator must be
active for the given controlling area in the current fiscal year.
The controlling area is the highest organizational unit in Controlling,
however this area is missing from the accounting data of the PO.
o  The accounting objects must be active for commitments:
    -  Work orders: The commitment management indicator must be set
in transaction KOT2 for the given order type.
    -  Cost centers: In transaction KS02, in register "Control", the
commitment update indicator must NOT be set.
    -  Projects: see note 47992
o  In transaction CUNI, the unit of measurements used at item level
must be set to value based commitment.
Please check the following notes 152571, 634298, 459509 and
    772206 carefully and also 165823.
Please check also if the "delivery complete" indicator is set in the PO item (see note 735404).
Usually for service POs the "Delivery completed" indicator will be
hidden and this indicator is fully controlled by the "final entry
sheet" indicator in ML81N. You must allow to set this indicator trough a field selection customizing for your PO item.

  • Stack Dump while creating Write Optimized DSO on BW 7.3, MS SQL - any SAP Notes?

While attempting to create a Write Optimized DSO on BW 7.3, MS SQL, we had a stack dump - ABAP Program     CL_RSD_ODSO_VERS==============CP with short text " Access using NULL object reference is not possible. "
Has anyone seen any SAP Notes on this subject?

    Hi John,
Was any field deleted from the DSO, if yes, probably the system is not able to relate the pointer from the DSO table. Error like these come up very often when fields are deleted from DSO. Solution is to remove the field manually from the table also. However, the system is supposed to do but sometimes such ambiguity causes such issues.

  • How to read any sap note?

    Hi all,
i have a note number. can anybody tell me how can i read whats there in the note before applying i mean documentatin kind of thing.
    thanks

Go to www.service.sap.com and in SAP support portal click on SAP Notes search. enter your username and password. then you can search for  SAP Note.
You would require user id and password to access SAP support /market place.
If you are already in the project, check with the IT manager of the client to provide one
SAP Notes help you how to remove known errors from SAP Systems. They include a description of the symptoms, the cause of the error, and the SAP Release and Support Package level in which the error occurs.

  • SAP Note that verify if service sheet is created and block PO field changes

    Hi People,
I am an ABAP programmer and I got a MM requirement that I think you can help me.
    Here is whats happening:
1 - Buyer create PO with field GR-Based Invoice Verification (WEBRE) flagged. (ME21N).
    2 - Then user creates Service Sheet(ML81N)
3 - Because service sheet take a time to be aproved, the buyer changes PO, removing the flag of fields GR-Based Invoice Verification (WEBRE) and GR-Goods Receipt indicator(WEPOS) (ME22N) so he can execute MIRO and F110.
User can't reflag the fields (WEBRE) and (WEPOS). So the service sheet stay on "limbo"
What I want, is to know if there is any SAP NOTE that verify and block the change on fields (WEBRE) and (WEPOS). So the user can't remove the flag if already exists a service sheet for the PO.
    Tks,

    Hi Ajit,
Sorry for the "delay" ins responding.
The SAP Note you've  mentioned is just for 4.x systems, we are using the ECC 6.
Apparently this Note does what I needed... so already should be working on ECC.
My functional decided to simply block the field on customizing so User cannot edit it in any way...
    Tks again.
    bye

  • SAP Notes for installing ERP 6.0 EHP4 on NW 7.01 on IBM i 7.1

    Hello members
The last time I install SAP on IBM i was about 3 years ago with ECC 6 on NW 7.00 on IBM i V5R4.  Now, I have to install ERP 6.0 EHP4 on NW 7.01 on IBM i 7.1 for my new customer (only the ABAP ERP components - not CRM, SCM, SRM or Java stack).  I try to first gather all important SAP notes that would be useful for me in doing the installation.  By far, I identify note 1234455 (NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1/Business Suite 7 - IBM i) and 1432783 (Known Issued with IBM i 7.1). Is there any other notes I should be aware of for a successful installation?
I also need to identify the list of installation DVD that I need for this installation but, so far, I can identify DVD 51038620 (Install Master) and 51036902 (Install Export).  I know I need more DVD than these two but I could not find any SAP notes that list all the DVD number I need.
Any suggestion would be very much appreciated?
    Thanks.

    Hello Satid,
nice to hear from you )
As you already pointed out, it is always useful, to read and apply the notes ...
    What is special here ?
    - Installation runs similar to your ecc6 stuff from 3 years ago - we typically replace the kernel of the kernel CD with a new patch level on the CD already.
    - the big point is, that the system does NOT have EHP4 installed when you are done with SAPinst ;-(
you do have NW 7.01 and ERP6.00 => you have to start SAPEHPI immediately after that for all the components, that you require on EHP4. This is 95% of an complete upgrade => the installation is 2 . 3 times the effort of what wou would expect ...
If you do have questions, don't hesitate and contact us.

Hi there, gwinslo. You have come to the right place.
From what I have been reading from other posts on this forum, the issue may
be caused by the clear history settings.
Press the '''<Alt>''' or '''<F10>''' key to bring up the tool bar. Then '''Tools > Options > Privacy'''.
The button next to '''History''', select '''Use Custom Settings'''.
At the bottom of the page, turn on '''Clear History When Firefox Closes.'''
At the far right, press the '''Settings''' button. Turn on ONLY '''Cache''' and
'''Form And Search History''' leaving the others off.
    '''https://support.mozilla.org/questions/997866?esab=a&s=&r=1&as=s''' {web link}
This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox locks up.

  • SAP Note de-implementation process

    Hi ALL,
I just want to know the process of de-implementing an SAP Note, which might have several dependent SAP Notes installed as a pre-requisite. What I mean is; Say If  i implement an SAP Note A, before system implements the SAP Note A it will load SAP Note B as a pre-requisite. How can we de-implement all of them successfully ?
    BR
    Tanmoy

    Hi ALL,
I found the following extract in SDN wiki:
It may happen that you try to de-implement an SAP note via T-cd:SNOTE > u201CSAP Noteu201D > u201CReset SAP Note Implementationu201D, but finally you find that it does not work or fails with error.
It is not recommended to de-implement any SAP note which has been already implemented completely. The reason is that even you de-implemented it now, the corrections would be implemented sooner or later again by corresponding support package implementation in the future.
If you want to de-implement any SAP note, please donu2019t do it yourself. Please contact SAP support. SAP will judge whether it is really necessary to de-implement the SAP note or not, and de-implement it for you in necessary.
SAP is developing new tool to replace Note Assistant. De-implementation function is not to be integrated into this new tool, which means that it will be impossible to de-implement any already-implemented SAP note using the new tool.
