Compute sum of two columns - display result in the third column

I have a report and I want to compute sum of two report columns and display the total in the third column.
For example: Sample_My_Report
Col1 Col2 Total (Col1+Col2)
3 7 10
can anyone help me out with this issue.

Two very different results using the same settings (H.264 / Quicktime Pro)
I’m a bit confused, I have used Quicktime Pro (v7.1) to encode DV into H.264 for iPod and this particular video is 18 minutes long and came out looking very good with the following settings;
VIDEO: H.264 at 200kbps, Baseline Profile, 25fps, Auto Key Frames, 320x240 or 640x480, Multipass Best quality encoding.
AUDIO: AAC Audio at 96kbps, 24kHz sampling freq, Stereo.
However here is the twist…
When I use the same exact settings to encode just the 30 second opener (from the 18 minute video) the encoded opener looks bad and blocky!
Why? Same settings would make you assume that you should get a same or similar result, or am I wrong?
The reason I have tried encoding this 30 second opener is that I am trying to work out which settings work best on the iPod (another issue) and I don’t want to spend hours test encoding the full 18 minute video, as you know H.264 is SLOW to encode!
So can anyone help in regard to two very different results using the same settings?

Is it a commercially-released or home-burned CD?
If it's commercially-released, try "encouraging" the recalcitrant computer by using the iTunes Advanced menu > Get CD Track Names command when it shows Audio CD.
If it's home-burned, you will find that only the computer that actually burned the disc will know what's on it. The information won't be transferred to another computer.
Let us know which, if either, of these situations applies to you. -

In Mac OS X 10.7, any applications left open when you shut down or restart are re-opened at startup, and any documents left open in an app when you quit are re-opened when you launch them again. The former can be controlled by unchecking the box in the restart/shutdown alert:
You will need to do this each time you shut down or restart, it won't remember that setting.
The latter can be deactivated by unchecking the box in System Preferences -> General:

That does not sound normal, but I don't use a mouse with my MBP, so I can't provide a solution, other than to try replacing the batteries in the mouse. -
I am setting up a Numbers table for gas milage using one column for miles and the next column for gallons, the two to be divided to produce the third column of miles per gallon and am unable to find out how to do that. Add and/or subtract, yes, but not to divide.

Yield signs must be different in Texas. Here (and in much of the rest of the world) they're white with a red border, and installed with an apex pointing down:
Some still include the word "Yield" (or in Quebec, "Cedez"in black letters.
Maybe you're thinking of the "Warning triangle", which is similar, but installed base down, and often including a symbol in the white space:
These are more common in Europe, with the exception of the portable version, which I've seen used at road construction sites or as 'flares' to warn of a disabled vehicle on the road.
Or maybe you were thinking of this
(Most of these 'slow moving vehicle' triangles have an orange center. This one looked a bit more 'Texas,' though.)

I have table with about 500 000 records. I typed followed SELECT and I receive the same result only after the third run (immediate after start of database). How is this possible?

Changing a datagrid column image according to the datagrid column value
Flash Builder 4.5 / SDK 4.5.1.
Fairly new to Flash Builder & Flex
Application targets tablets so it's a "mobile" project.
Been beating my head up against the wall on trying to figure out how to do this. Watched videos on Lynda.com. Read Adobe "docs" till my eyes glaze over. Takes me about 2 lines of code in my corresponding .NET project doing the same thing.....
Tried numerous examples. Inline rendering, external rendering files per the examples.
I have a response field in the database and corresponding column in the s:datagrid. If the "reportInfoResponse" field is null (not answered), show an image with a question mark. If yes show an image with "Yes" on it. Same for a no answer.
I get errors of:
1120:Access of undefined property negativeAnswer.
1120:Access of undefined property affirmativeAnswer
1120:Access of undefined property reportInfoResponse
1120:Access of undefined property showResponseImage
If I put this in an external rendering file I also get an error where it can't access the datafield (reportInfoResponse). I've tried data.reportInfoResponse, {data.reportInfoResponse}, {reportInfoResponse} and just plain reportInfoResponse the external rendering file with no luck. I've tried single and double quotes around Y and N. According to all the examples (not to say there aren't more!), I should be able to reference data.reportInfoResponse in the external file and things should be fine. Of course, the examples are bare bones code and I don't have a clue if any importing of classes or other items need to take place. I never see any references of such. The examples also show the image embedding and changing the image by using imageID.source=... In my code it tells me it can't find it.
I have put (ERROR HERE...) on the lines where I'm getting the error messages. I've eliminated a lot of database scripting and such cause that's all working.
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated as I'm pulling out what little hair I have left.......and that's not much at my age........ And yes, I probably could do it by just show text in the column, but that's not what the customer wants... There are other columns I need to do this for so I figure if I can get 1 done and working, the rest are a snap. I CAN use inline or external rendering to show an image. It's the changing it that is the catch.........

Probably my previous explanation of the problem was a little incomplete. Let me give a better description.
The situation is something like this.
I have a requirement in which the customer wants the column header to reflect the 'keep filter value' restriction that he does dynamically in the query report.
i.e:
-- usually the kf column header shows 'sales volume'
-- column header with text variable of the Calender year / month variable -- 'sales volume for 2000 oct'
-- but when the report is run, if the user wants to go and change the filter: calender year / month > rt clk > keep filer value > select Jan 2003.
The kf column header still shows 'Sales Volume 2000 Oct'
How to make the column header change to 'sales volume for Jan 2003' ?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I purchased Docs to GO Premium as it was suppose to work on IPAD 3. On loading a spreadsheet the columns under the header columns (ABC etc) started to blled into the next column. It does not work on IPad 3.
I swithced to Quick Office Pro HD. Absolutely fantastic App. I would love to get my money back for Docs to Go Prem (Rubbish)Send your complaints to the developer. This is not the venue for them.

reading the component type documentation helps. Here is what it has to say:
Property: columnStretching
Indicates what kind of stretching you want applied to the columns. For optimal performance, use the "none" (default) option. If you want the last column to stretch to fill up any unused space inside of the viewport, use the "last" option. If you want to have an empty blank column be automatically inserted and have it stretch (so the row background colors will span the entire width of the table), use the "blank" option. If you want to have a specific leaf (non-group) column stretch to fill up any unused space inside of the viewport, use the option where you specify "column:" followed by the ID of the column that you want to have stretched, e.g. "column:myColId". Note that row headers and frozen columns will not be stretched because doing so could easily leave the user unable to access the scrollable data body of the table. Only a maximum of one column may be stretched at a time.

Two statements, get results from the first statement?
Ok maybe I made it sound a little harder than it is, but this is what I am trying to do. I have a result set from from a database call when I pass in the username and password . In the 1st call I get the Users info: User_ID, first_name, lastname, etc...
But I either need to get info from the first statement, and pass it to the 2nd statement or just do two statement calls calling the same info and passing it to my user object? I dont know which if any is faster, or better. The only thing I need from the first statement is the user_id. In the 2nd statement I need the user_id to find out the user permissions.

I have screen 2000 (Main tree) and 3000 (Sub tree). From main tree an item is double click the corresponding item id is to be taken and populate the data based on the id and display in second Sub tree. I did the process.
My problem is
1st time the data is populating.
2nd time fetching the 2nd id then process and creating the second tree data
But finally display the 1st data
I tried using Delete_all_node, cleared the table, free the container but no use
Please help me.

I notice in using the checkbook register template, you reach a certain point and the rows slide under the top row or two. I there a way to make that happen with the columns. I'm setting up a student attendence roster (is there a template for that?) and I want to be able to read the student name (1st column) and at the same time read the dates at the end of the month or year (subsequent columns)

Is there a way to display two links in a single column in a sql query report . I am able to specify one but I am not able to add links to the same column . I want to take the same column id and redirect the user to different pages based on the values selected .
ThanksThere is no way to this declaratively that I know of. Some alternatives...
1. Put the conditional branching logic in the report SQL itself. e.g. case when ... then '< a href=..' else '< a href=...' end and make sure the column display type is Standard Report column
2. Have the declarative column link go to a dummy/intermediate page and setup On Load: Before-Header branches on that page to redirect to the desired page based on the item value(s) passed in to the intermediate page. -
Populating a third column form the contents of lov result the first two

i have a form with three fields.
The first two fields are LOV. The third is a text field.
I would like to compile a third field concatenating the results of these two. I would also check that the third field does not exceed the 30 digit value.
e.g.
first field --> country

ITALY d, IT r
second field --> town

PARIS d, PRS r
MILAN d, MI r

PARIS FRANCE ( max 30 char)

Yes, you would extend your PL/SQL to use the LOV return values as your look-up to return your display values.
Looking back your original question; why doesn't your database yield Paris France just by selecting Paris with just one LOV? Maybe you need a table that relates a city to a country.
