Computer all of a sudden quit playing videos.

Sometimes just looks like endless buffering and other times hear a sharp squealing noise. Was playing You Tube videos just fine but then played a video from another site and have problems every since then. This is really frustrating and so far have found no solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi my 4s has all of a sudden stopped playing sound. I have a ringtone but no sound for music/movies etc. tried turning on and of and letting bat go flat then recharging. Sound came back for a while then went again. I noticed this started soon after I upgraded to 5.1.1 . Ive also looked at the error reports the phone generates for apple and there are a few memory low notes. Any help would be appreciated.

I did some googling and found alot of topics from you on this issue, to me it simply seems like on of the connectors is broken or loose.

Youtube suddenly stopped playing videos

My iMac OSX 10.6.8 suddenly stopped playing youtube videos.
I haven't installed any new software or changed anything that coincided with the loss.
The youtube screen says blocked plug in.
I read the existing discussions and:
I opted out of the HTML5 pilot, restarted Safari (5.1.8). Still won't play videos.
In the past, videos played on Quick Time Player so I'm reluctant to install Flash Player.
Any ideas??

You cannot watch YouTube w/o flashplayer. You will need to install the latest version from Adobe's website. Also, regarding QT install Perian (AVI and FLV support)
After doing the above installations, make sure you repair permissions and restart your computer.

Computer completely freezes when trying to play video

When I double-click on the thumbnail of a video to play it, the computer completely freezes, and sometimes the display will get corrupted with noise. I tried exporting a video file to disk, then opening it with Quicktime instead of iPhoto, and the same thing happens. I have cross-posted this question to the Quicktime forum also but I see more people talking about this problem here in iPhoto.

I have since posting this question looked at the OS X Console, and have seen these errors, which sound correlated to my problem of playing video from a variety of cameras, including iPHone 4. I also tested playback on my newer Mac laptop and have no trouble at all.

All of a sudden, browsing my videos is crashing aperture!

I have the latest version of aperture on a 27" iMac running Lion. All of a sudden, when I try and look at my videos, I get a bouncing ball and can't do anything except force quit aperture ... please help! ??

not everyone is having this issue, and verizon won't exchange your phone, they'll only give you a refund if you're within their grace period. you might want to try restoring it through itunes to see if that resolves the issue. you might just need a fresh version of the operating system

Make sure the iPod touch is connected straight into the computer, not into a hub. Also, make sure there aren't any other iPods connected while you're testing it.

Messages and facetime all of a sudden quit working

I had the same problem too. For some reason the phone settings turned them off. For iMessage you have to go to Settings>iMessage and turn it back on. Same for FaceTime, go to Settings>Facetime and turn it back on. Don't know why some peoples stayed on and others, like ours, turned off. Hope this helps

Apple TV shows all menus but won't play videos

Hello. I have a 3rd generation Apple TV, and it has the latest software update...in fact I just reset it because of my problem. I travel through all the menus, including iTunes, Netflix, and HBOGo (Yes, I have accounts on both). When I get to the movie I want I can see the description and all the buttons. When I try to play a video, I get the circle for a second, then the load bar, and then it reverts back to the menu. It does it in iTunes, Netflix, and HBOGO. I have hooked it to two different ISPs and through two different modem/routers, and the same problem happens. This is very new. Did an update just happen? Is anyone else having this problem, and even better, did you figure out how to get around it? Thanks.

My apologies. It turned out that the new system that was on my iMac was responding to the apple remote together with the apple tv. Somehow the iMac was overriding the play of the video by a split second and continually starting airplay and trying to play a nonexistent song. Perhaps this will help someone.

- The iPod got erased since it sounds iTunes identified that the iPod has been synced with another computer and she said yes to making this computer her syncing computer. It could also she restored the iPod from the backup of another iPod, iPhone or iPad that was in iTunes. If in iTunes you go to Preferences>Devices is there a backup listed for her iPod with a date/time when she first connected the iPod to the computer. If so then restore the iPod from that backup.

- Regarding the App store. The App store is not in Safari. It is a separate app. Also, could the Apple store be hidden by Restrictions? Settings>General>Restrictions. Further, can you find the App store via the Spotlight search on the iPod?

My canon rebel T3i isnt being recognized by my computer all of a sudden

I cant figure out why my camera isnt being recognized by my computer. And my EOS Utilitysoftware only has the Monitor folder and Picture Style Editor highlighted--- all ther others are greyed out as in not available. I have used this for 2 years already with no problems

Iphone4 suddenly not playing videos

I updated to IOS6 last week and it has been great until a couple of days ago I could not play back videos I took and now I can't even use the record videos!

I don't know if this is going to be of any help (even though the problem is now solved, thanks to the change made in the Pref tab to select GDI only mentioned in this thread), but in my case what caused Quicktime to misbehave was the update of the Nvidia drivers from version 9x.xx to version 15x.xx - I've tried it a few times now and this happens every single time.
I contacted Nvidia on this but they're yet to post a reply.
When I reverted to the previous version, Quicktime resumed it's normal functioning.

Why, after using Firefox for years, can I all of a sudden not get videos on many print articles that have them, when, if I go to Internet Explorer, I can?

On many web pages, videos that are included in an article, are just large spaces of white with nothing (no video to click on whatsoever) in them. If I open an IE browser, and go to the same article, it displays and plays the video perfectly. I know many people who are experiencing this.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
