Computer Authorization For iPhone (6)

Whenever I try to sync my IPhone 6 onto my computer, it cancels the sync and asks me to authorize my computer. I do so and then attempt to sync again but once again do I see it ask again to "authorize this computer". Anyone know the solution?

  • I need to deauthorize three computers I no longer own, but keep my computer authorization for my current computer and add a new laptop. Is there a way of doing this without having to unauthorize my current desktop which is my main music storage devic

I just purchased a new Win 8.1 laptop and want to authorize it for my iTunes library. I operate this library on a Win 7 desktop. I have three other Windows computers that I no longer own which were authorized under my iTunes account, but I can't unauthorized them because they are broken or sold. I want to have Computer Authorization for just my current desktop running Win 7 and my new laptop operating Win 8.1. How can I selectively unauthorize a computer if I no longer have it in my possession, and if I have to unauthorize all of my computers, how do I get my iTunes library of music back onto my current desktop system?

Deauthorizing the computer will not remove the content from your library. You deauthorize all, then authorize the ones you want. See this support document. Deauthorize your computer using iTunes - Apple Support

  • Changing itunes authorizations for iphone

My daughter has iTunes on her PC. I also have it on my Mac. For years now, she's been accumulating songs but they were bought on my account and her iTunes uses one of my account's computer authorizations. But now that she's no longer a child, she's getting an iPhone. I assume she's going to need her own account to be able to sync the phone. But how will she be able to set it up to use her itunes if her itunes library of songs shares my account? I already have my own iphone that syncs to my Mac. So giving her the account isn't an option. Is there any way to convert her songs purchased before the higher rate unprotected versions were available so they will continue to play for her?
    Thanks

Sorry, I think my question may be better suited for the iphone forum.

  • ITunes repeatedly prompts for computer authorization for only one song

I already tried apple recommended resolutions but unfortunately they were not my resolution. Only one song after purchasing lots of others cannot be played because it asks computer authorization. I'm using windows 7 and itunes is the most recent. Now no one in apple is replying to my email. Did anyone have the similar case like this and solved,, please suggest the solution!

I just solved by myself. I signed on to another computer's itunes and downloaded the song. It looks like no better solution out there. I hope anyone else who encountered the same problem - for the first time and frustrated badly like me - get help from this.

  • Delete computer authorization for adobe digital editions

I bought a new computer and therefore I should delete the authorization for my old one. How can I manage this?

Thank you for your quick reply.  I already gave the computer away - therefore I think I have to wait until the authorizations run out.
If Adobe resets  all authorizations what happens to the files I saved in ADE? Are they  deleted then?

  • Computer Authorization for Multiple Songs

I recently had to reformat my hard disk due to spyware problems, and of course then had to re-install all my software, including I-Tunes. I have purchased several hundred songs from I-tunes, and now each time I try to play one of them on my computer, I get the "not authorized on this computer" message. I can do the authorization sequence individually, but is there a way of doing it for all my I-tunes purchased songs simultaneously? Taking the time for individual authorizations does not thrill me.

    hmmm.
did you deauthorise your PC prior to doing the HD format? if not, it's halfway-plausible that this might be a symptom of having multiple authorisations running on the same PC.
maybe let's try giving this a shot:
One computer using multiple iTunes Music Store authorizations
(i figure that it can do no harm ... but if anyone else has other suggestions, i'd go with them first.)

  • Computer authorization for itunes

i've read several post about this already and have tried different ways to authorize itunes for my mac pro. i have been getting an error code 42408 and read on another post to go to the itunes store , deauthorize, and reauthorize. this had worked for a few people, well not this guy. now i cant seem to authorize it again. i have quite the music library, and recently have added a bunch of music for my toddlers and their childcare. i really need to be able to get access again. can someone please help me out.

There is a limit as to how many can be authorized, if you no longer are using a computer you need to deauthorize it.  You can deauthorize all your devices.iTunes>store>then reauthorize the ones you want to have functional, if you want to add program to a deauthorized device and you are at your limit, deauthorize a device, then authorize the new one and download to it. You may have to repeat this process to "pass stuff around"  Hope this helps.   ATB

  • General Authorizations for Iphone User

I have only been able to make use of the Iphone IC for SBO 8.8 with superusers. Is it possible to use it with a profesional user but no superuser acces ?

    Hi Hector,
Mobile v1.1.1 and before require a superuser.
Upcoming mobile version should support both regular users and superusers, when the new version will be released it will be announced from the Service Marketplace.

  • One computer, 4 authorizations for same song on it: what's with that?

I have only used one computer and my iphone for the itunes I have purchased but when I went to play a purchased song iTunes said I had to authorize it on this same computer. Then iTunes said I only had one autorization left. This problem is likely due to the fact that I had to resore my itunes from a windows live onecare backup after reformatting the c drive. Is there a way I can always have the songs I originally inported or downloaded into this specific computer recognize themselves as authorized always on this computer one time? When I resored, iTunes set the songs up in a differnt iTunes directory than it was formerly in. All my other mp3s moved around ok. Can somebody help me with this? I'm not going to buy this stuff over and over again nad if I can't get it to work, I'll download elsewhere than from iStore.

    Hi madwulf;
WARNING I just received word from the IBM CERT Team that the security for Microsoft Live has been breached. Their recommendation is to have nothing to do with it until Microsoft is able to redo the security. At the present time the hackers are to defeat the Microsoft Live security one third of the time.

  • HT1206 I buy apps in my iPhone using different Apple IDs. Which Apple ID should I use to authorize the computer when synchronizing iPhone with iTunes?

I buy apps in my iPhone using different Apple ID. Which Apple ID should I use to authorize the computer when sync iPhone with iTunes?

    Hi again,
After a little further research, it appears that you would need to create separate iTunes libraries in order to be able to continue to purchase and download previously purchased items on the same computer, for two different Apple IDs. Sorry - but my husband and I have had the library we sync with authorized for so long, that we have not run into this issue, but it appears that you will get an warning when you try to authorize the second ID on the same computer, indicating that another ID is already associated with it.
So, you will probably have to set up separate iTunes libraries for each ID:

Sorry for any confusion - hope this helps!

  • How to authorize different computer to sync iphone and get itunes

how to authorize a different computer to sync iphone and get purchased itunes

FIRST, copy the iTunes folder from your old computer to the new one BEFORE YOU RUN ITUNES for the first time. Depending on your computer it will be in the Music or My Music folder. Copy the entire folder, including the iTunes Library file and the iTunes Media (or iTunes Music) folders.
Install iTunes and Authorize it to the same account as the old computer on the Store menu.
Connect the iPhone. Set up syncing with desktop apps on the Info tab.
    Sync the iPhone.
