Computer authorized, purchased songs won't sync...

I just recently reinstalled iTunes back on to my computer (Windows Vista) and now the purchased songs will not transfer to my iPod. I keep getting asked to authorized my computer. It says I have successfully authrized it but the songs still will not sync. Please help

Levin,
It is my understanding that iTunes stores a file on your computer that helps to 'unlock' your purchased music. It seems like I've read also that the location of this file has gone through some changes with updated versions of iTunes. I think that it's possible that you may have upgraded, you had problems, you uninstalled, and then installed an earlier version of iTunes. And it is this earlier version that may be expecting this particular file to be in a particular place. I am really not sure, however.
So, I would send a note or call Apple to get a fix. iTunes probably has a record of your purchases.

  • After switching to the iPhone 6, half of my purchased songs won't sync over.

I Have managed to sync over half of the songs backed up on my Mac to my new iPhone 6, but the other half of the songs show they are on the computer but are faded with dashed circles next to them. Every time I hit sync it will popup saying I'm syncing my 500 songs then end with only having half of the songs in the memory. They are all checked, backed up to the computer, and are showing they are in my Mac iTunes Library with no problem; its just getting it over to my new phone and iPad. I have the new IOS 8, and iPhone 6 with 64GB. I have tried everything I know how from doing it manually to trying to take all the songs off and putting them back on. I have just never had this trouble before.
    Thank You,
    Alex

I have the exact same issue. Tried restoring, tried syncing, managing music manually, reset network settings. Everything.
I think it might be an icloud issue with authentication because everytime i plug my iphone to my computer it asks me to Trust.

  • New purchased song won't sync to itunes.

i just purchased six songs from the itunes store.
i synced my ipod and five out of the six songs synced to the ipod.
how can i get the sixth song to sync to my ipod?
    its being very stubborn.
    thank you.

I have noticed that it seems to be a bit rate size problem. My iPhone only adds songs or vids less than 127bps. Now, it's possible that it could be slightly higher, but that seems to be the limit of the stuff I have. Nothing 158bps or 160bps or 192bps or 256bps syncs over, though it did last week! Is it possible this limit was inadvertently imposed in the last update? Problem only appeared after last iTunes update. Could have been with 3.0 update but I don't think so. However I have noticed when they do sync, after I play them or partially play them they disappear from the playlist on the iPhone, should I go to another app and them come back to it.
I don't want to reduce the bit rate, I want iTunes to fix itself, gol-darnit!
Anyone know of a solution or heard of this?

  • HT1349 Transferred songs from old iPod to new computer and now songs won't sync to my iPhone 5

What should I do? To get them to sync to my phone?o

What computer OS are you using? Do you have the latest version of iTunes (v11.1)? There has got to be a reason for the disconnect in the music syncing. I would recommend resetting the sync history. If you are in Windows, go to Edit, Preferences, Devices, and there is a button there. Now, with the phone connected to iTunes and the phone selected in the Device pane, you go to the Summary page and down towards the bottom of the page, there is a Reset Warnings box. After doing that, try to sync music again. If there is a problem, with the warnings reset, it should show up if there is one.

  • I was trying to sync my itouch with my new mac, and some songs won't download because they are not authorized for this computer. But even after my computer was authorized they still won't sync. How do I fix this?

I was trying to sync my itouch with my new mac, and some songs won't download because they are not authorized for this computer. But even after my computer was authorized they still won't sync. How do I fix this?

I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.
No answers here, but you are definitely not alone with this issue.

  • ITunes purchased movie won't sync to iPod or iPad "not authorized"

I purchased a movie today and can watch it on my AppleTV and on my computer. However it won't sync to my iPod or my iPad because it says "this computer is not authorized." I have:
    1. Checked that Home Share is on.
    2. Authorized my computer.
    3. Deauthorized and authorized my computer.
    4. Looked for the movie directly from the Purchased tab on iTunes within the iPod and can't see any movie purchases there at all.
HELP, this is going to drive me batty!

Exact same problem with a brand new ipad 3.

  • All of a sudden selected songs won't sync to iphone

I've never had a problem syncing my itunes library to my iphone but today when i synced, about 100 songs won't sync and it says "Some of the items in the iTunes library, including 'Song name', were not copied to the iphone "iPhone" because you're not authorized to play them on this computer." What went wrong? How can I fix this?

Sounds like you may have deauthorized your account. Just play one of the problem songs in iTunes, or reauthorize your computer for your iTunes account. Should fix the problem.

  • I bought a song on my itunes account on my computer but the song is not syncing to my ipod

I bought a song on my itunes account on my computer but the song will not sync to my ipod. How do I fix this?

You might try downloading it directly to your iPod from your iTunes purchased list (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519).

  • My songs won't sync, next to the name on my ipad there is a stop like it stopped syncing

My songs won't sync, next to the name on my ipad there is a stop like it stopped syncing. Someone please help!

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :
Even organize your photos in albums — right on your device
2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad

  • My songs won't sync to my iPhone. Please help.

So I transfered all my songs from my PC to my MacBook via HomeSharing. I hook up my iPhone to my Mac and all my songs won't sync. Only 100 songs have synced. This is a really frustrating situation. I have tried everything. I have made sure that "Sync entire library" is checked, I have rebooted my phone, restarted my computer, everything! This really needs to be fixed. It's impossible how there is a problem like this.

hey I got one too and I was able to get throught he first part by shutting down the firewall. make sure you're offline.

I installed itunes on a different computer now my ipod won't sync. What do I do?

    Itunes recognizes your ipod?
    You select sync music?

    You sync?
    What happens?

  • TS1389 Need to authorize this computer already purchased songs

Need an authorization for this computer already purchased songs?

You can authorise your account via the Store > Authorise This Computer menu option - if you are using a PC and the menus aren't showing at the top of iTunes then control-B should get them to show.

  • HT1351 some of my newly purchased music won't sync

Some of my newly purchased music won't sync, even though I converted it to the proper format.

Music purchased from the iTunes Store does not need to be converted before being used on iPods.  Music from most other sources, such as Amazon, is in MP3 format and does not need to be converted.  So, can you explain "even though I converted it to the proper format"?

  • I have a new desktop computer and my IPod won't sync?
