Computer breaks networks whenever it is turned off

Every time my computer loses charge and turns off or I shut it down, there are problems when I turn the laptop on.
First off I cant seem to figure out how to have the Airport save the network passwords I use so I don't have to re enter all certificates and passwords whenever I restart.
Also when I turn my computer from being off and automatically reverts to thinking its 1969 and I have to manually set the clock and then tell it to set it automatically. Otherwise several things go haywire. Any suggestions?

Hi Liorax: It sounds like the battery on the Logic Board is dead/dying which isn't unusual. Check out the Apple Article below for information on testing.

After I connect my iPhone (3GS 5.0.1) to any Ad-hoc wireless Network then walk away out of the reach of my wifi network, my iPhone can't find any wifi Network afterwards, only by turning off the iPhone completely and turning on again.
switching off wifi and on again or going into airplane mode did't help!
This problem happens only with ad-hoc wifi networks not with normal ones.
(Ad-Hoc network was created on XP Computer)

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Sorry, but the 169.x.x.x IP address is internally generated by the iPod (and iPhone) and indicates that a network has been detected but no IP address has been issued. Your friends iPhone was not connected to your ad hoc network either - it connected to the internet through the 3G network.
You should read through the Vista help screens on ad hoc networking for some insight how this works. You should be able to get some ideas there.
In the mean time, $40 or less will buy you a very capable wireless router with four Ethernet ports and will simplify your network tremendously. Having used Windows ICS for a long time, the addition of a router and a real network simplified things so much.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

As far as I know you don't need to turn off home sharing as such, however you will have lost one of the 5 "authorizations". You can't release these individually unless you are running iTunes on the authorized operating system you want to deauthorize.
You will have to wait until you have 5 authorizations, at which point you can clear them all and start over, reauthorizing the machines you want to.

my mac and iPhone 6  has been hacked! foresure! Antivirus sentinel pro from apple store detected apr or arp spoofing, thereafter Antivirus protection also got hacked, I turn network monitoring on they turn off everytime then they close Antivirus for good, also Google.com is being imitated and not showing a true certificate (apr spoofing)?.these guys r good! I erased and reinstall Yosemite changed all passwords even on the wifi...could be wifi sniffing? I got Kaspersky hoping to use virtual keyboard for passwords and Kaspersky is comprised too..the virtual keyboard doesn't work it freezes up not allowing me to enter password. So I Uninstall and reinstall Kaspersky, so now I have problem with reinstall that doesn't work, then way later that day it is reinstalled..not over yet..that virtual keyboard now pops up randomly wanting me to use password? seems like they can copy anything real fast for i have to enter info like 2 or 3 times, never had that problem before. I'm thinking about going old school with paper docs and checks..yes technology ***...too vulnerable. .on the news they said 97% of businesses are hacked! can someone help me to counter this attack? thx

You have not been hacked. Get rid of all that antivirus. It is just making your life harder.

  • When sharing screen from work with my home computer, is there any way to turn off the display at home?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question, but when I'm viewing my desktop on the home computer from work (as in I've connected by finding my computer in the finder and hit the "Share Screen" button - is there any way to turn off the display at home? It seems a bit of a waste of power to have the screen on when I'm not actually there - I just need to be able to see all my programs etc on the remote screen in order to use them. My home computer is a 2011 iMac running latest Mountain Lion, work is a 2010 MacBook Pro.
    Thanks in advance!
    Matt

I've set up another user on my home Mac and left that one logged in. Now when I connect from work it asks me if I want to share the screen or log on virtually as my user. I think choosing the second option doesn't power up the screen.

  • My wifi wasn't working for more than 10 minutes at a time after updating to IOS8 and resetting network settings. I turned off google drive, turned off Bluetooth, reset network settings and rebooted my iPad4. So far so good.

I have an ipad4.  Wifi keeps cutting out after the upgrade even after I forget the network and resign on or reset all network settings. I deleted iCloud drive from my iPad, turned off Bluetooth, reset network settings, and rebooted my iPad. Since I upgraded to IOS8 this is the longest wifi has consistently been working for me. Which is approximately an hour now. Anyone else find that this worked or have figured out if this or anything out there is a permanent fix?

    Hi CollinGCC78,
It sounds like you have been on the right track in troubleshooting this issue. If you are still having issues, you may want to double-check the steps outlined in the following article, in order if possible (apologies for replicating any steps you have already taken):

  • Computer tries to boot but then turns off

I had to force shut down my computer, now it won't come back on. It comes on, and gives me a spinning wheel and a progress bar across the bottom.  The bar doesn't get very far and then the computer just turns off.  Tried to start in safe mofe and it did the same thing.  Was on for a while and then just turned off.  Not sure what to do.  Please help!

The automatic fsck is trying to repair a corruption problem with the drive and failing.
Good news, it sounds like a software problem and less likely a hardware one, however I suspect the Macintsh HD partiton which holds OS X, programs and your files will have to be erased.
If you don't have a couple of backups of your data off the machine (don't only trust TimeMachine because you can't verify it and it can restore crap) then you may need to do this first.
.Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
Then run through these steps and depending how far you get...depends if you do the above or if it will boot enough you can grab files manually to a storage drive before further action.
..Step by Step to fix your Mac
    Most commonly used backup methods
If this is too much for you, then there are local PC/Mac software repair shops that also do data recovery as long as you didn't use Filevault or encryption.

  • Whenever my PC turns off, all tabs are gone

Whenever I turn off my PC (restart or shutdown). All the tabs in my browser up and vanish and I am back at the homepage. There is no Restore session button at the bottom. In History, the "Restore previous session" is greyed out. I have "show my windows and tabs from last time selected" and the "Don't load tabs until selected" is not ticked. I deleted the Sessionstore files like some suggested and still not results. This started when I updated to Firefox 13. Does Firefox 13 not support session restore? Please Help

  • Why won't network require password to turn off/on?

After updating my os to 10.8, I cannot lock network.

    Update.
The only way I can get the wifi connection to ask for a password (when turning on and off)  is by making a non-admin account and of course logging into it.  I am required to use admin credentials to turn wifi on or off.  However the logic seems off for this not to work as an admin if the admin requires these credntial to turn wifi on and off, and as an admin it has worked before.   LOL nevermind.  I jsut tried again... and no password required.  Brand new user.  Only keychain access is for the airport base station itself..  OK EDit again... just tried to disconnect and it asked for a password.  I wonder how long an admin password is good for... AND EDIT AGAIN.  Turned it off and on with no password again. ..... I guess the wifi service asks for a password when it feels like it. LOL

  • Saving network login details after turn off - B110a

Just bought a Photosmart B110a. Followed procedure to connect printer into my wireless network and working ok - I am able to print. However, if I turn printer off, when I next switch on, I am asked to select network name and then have to input the WPA key again. I would expect the printer to save the details of the wireless network that it last connected to and automatically connect. Am I missing something or is this the way it has to be?

I think there is a firmware bug, so keep your firmware updated (Setup > Preferences > Update Product). In the mean time, just keep your printer on.

  • Why do I have to reconnect to my Network manually every time I turn off my laptop? But yet it stores my password.

Why do I have to reconnect to my network every time I turn off my laptop? But yet it stores my password. It has been happening ever since I upgraded to OS X Lion. I have two default wireless routers I connect to (my home and work) and yet everytime I turn on my computer I have to manually select which network I want to join from the drop down menu at the top of my desktop. Any suggestions? I dont want to have to manually choose, it should just look for those two networks automatically and connnect to whichever one is available.

It was already set to Automatic......and still it doesnt connect to my network.
