Computer controlling my ipod touch
I don't want to jailbreak my ipod touch so is there another way I can use my computer to project my ipod touch. I have an app that I want to use in a presentation so I would like to project my ipod touch screen via my computer. Does anyone have a tutorial on this that doesn't involve jailbreaking my touch and using Veency.

I can't sync music already on my computer to my ipod touch; the ipod shows up under Devices in itunes but does not show buttons (Summary etc.) when I click on it. I've read through all the Help tutorials but none of them say what to do if the sync options don't pop up when you highlight the device. I've already spent way too much time trying to figure this out and it's driving me crazy! Thanks for any help you can offer.
This is correct. It will not show in finder. It is not an external storage device.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases. Open itunes connect ipod, do not sync, click File>Transfer Purchases -
My podcasts won't download from the computer to my ipod touch all of a sudden!
All of a sudden my podcasts won't download from the computer to the ipod touch anymore. It still downloads changes in music and apps, but it just seems to be podcasts. Can anybody help me diagnose my problem?
If they are video podcasts, they now appear in the Video app after iOS 5.

How do you transfer specific music from your computer to your ipod touch?
Ive read threads of how to do this and so far none have helped...Im trying to add specific songs that are on my computer to my ipod touch (4th gen). I do not want the songs on my ipod transfered to my computer.
When I go to the ipod device in the menu collum of itunes on my computer, & then pick the "music" tab in the menu bar I get very limited options that I can choose.
it says
1. sync music .... If I try this selection a warning msg pops up " all existing content on ipod will be removed & replaced with songs & playlist from your itunes library" I don't want this! I just want songs added to ipod
2. below this selection are 4 options inside a gray box. These selections are not available for reasons unknown to me. They read
a. Entire music library
b. Selected playlist, artist, albums, and genres
c. include music videos
d. include voice memos
selections a, c, & d have tick marks by them
As far as I have found up to this point this is somwhere close to the vicinity that I want to be in order to get done what I want to get done. I don't know... perhaps I'm coming at this from the wrong angle. Maybe I should use the ipod , and come at itunes from its interface?...I have not sync with another computer. Brand new Ipod touch from christmas. same computer. I have however conected it to this computer before & because I was ingnorant it synced automatically with this same computer. I was ****** because it messed everything up. So I erased my ipod completlely and started over. I also un-installed itunes and started over with its as well. I then put only music that I wanted on my ipod onto my computer in itunes.
Now I cant figure out how to get that specific music on my ipod... this is all very maddening!!.. I feel like throughing both computer and ipod out my 2 story bedroom window -
I store all y music on an external harddrive and update my ipod from that normally. However at the moment I dont have it but would like to put songs that i have added to my itunes and are stored on my computer onto my ipod touch. Is there a way to just add songs to the ipod touch without losing all the rest of the songs on there?
You should be able to to it by using manual syncing method. See that method here:

So I want to senda picture I have on my computer to my ipod touch 4g. I saw a video and I followed it, i used itunes, clicked the device then photos then i picked a folder and click sync but when i click Apply a bx pops up that says if I snyced these photos the photos already existing will be removed, is there a way to keep the photos on the ipod and just add the pictures from the compute?
Place both the old photos and the new photos in the same folder you sync photos with. Youcan have one level of subfolders in the one syncing folder.

I can't sync the songs from my computer to my ipod touch. I have gone through the directions on the iPond help page and have not found them helpful. For example, I can't find the autofill button. Can you help?
I have already tried following those steps. I went back and tried to follow them again but they did not work. Some of my songs have synced, some have not. And I am still not seeing the Autofill icon on the bottom of the menu or anywhere else. I fear something has been corrupted here and I need to start afresh.

Windows XP can't import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the files to your computer's hard drive. -
