Computer Crash is Data lost?
My computer had tobe completely wiped and i re installed iTunes, is there anyway to transfer or update all of the data on my iPod into the newly downloaded iTunes or is it all gone, there are purchased items on the iPod so i dont want to erase it if I don't have to pls help!!
Yes, but this won't work for things you imported from personal cds or wherever. It only works for purchased music from the iTunes Store. I got this from the iTunes support team a few months ago:
1) Make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes.
2) Connect your iPod to your computer
3) Use the File menu and choose the option, “Transfer Purchases from “(iPod name)”.

My old Computer crashed and I lost my old library of recorded CD's and tunes. iTunes says I must delete everything off my iPod in order to add a new CD. When music was purchased on a CD, if the CD was lost and you returned to the store where the CD was purchased with your receipt, were you given a replacement CD?

Could somebody tell me what to do ?If you have a backup to an external hard disk, then install iTunes and place the backup of C:\users\????\Music\iTunes back into that folder. If you need to redownload old purchases, then go into iTunes and go store -> purchased -> download previous purchases and that will at least get you what you bought from Apple. If you could elaborate on what kind of crash, I might be able to recommend a few other things, but that would be less Apple support and more data recovery.

A little while ago my computer crashed and I lost everything, including my iTunes library except for on my iPod Shuffle. I just got a new iPod Nano for Christmas and I need to transfer the music from my old one to my new one but I can't figure out how to do this because my iTunes does not have the music that my old one does.

Prevent automatic syncing one time, without changing settings: Open iTunes. Then, as you connect iPhone to your computer, press and hold Shift-Control (on a PC) until you see iPhone appear in the sidebar. Then, use iTunes File menu > Transfer Purchases from XXX's iPhone. This will transfer your purchased items.
