Computer crashed, how can I buy music without a computer itunes?

I synced it with another computer but it won't allow purchases to be moved to the ipod -- they are stuck in the iTunes. I did authorize the computer but that is only one way.. I went into the iTunes Store, signed in with my account but it downloaded the songs into the itunes which cannot be moved to my ipod. Help! I am not buying a new computer for a month!

if you still have your crashed computer get one of your techie friends to make your old hard drive into an external hard drive- they can get a sleeve for it from new egg or a supplier like that- you hook it up to your new computer, via USB connections, transfer the itunes folder to the new itunes folder in your new computer then import that folder into the itunes library on the internet site...........go to file then import folder and find your folder- mine was itunes music-

I don't understand why they force users to install their software.
Because most record companies require the iTunes Store to have copy protection and that requires software to process and verify, i.e. iTunes.
iTunes works fine for many, many thousands of users, so perhaps if you would start a thread with details as to any problems you're experiencing (the only thread I see gives very few details and was apparently abandoned), someone may be able to help you sort them out. Otherwise, you'll have to look for some other source of music that's legal in Germany.

I had the same issue awhile back. Someone here on this website recommended me this third party program called Senuti; it takes all the songs on the iPod and puts them back on iTunes.

For running a second iTunes account, you could always go into System Preferences, give her own account so her iTunes library would be separate.

You will need to toggle the switch below these switchs that allows for cellular data to be enabled if this has not already been enabled. You'll want to enable Manually Manage Music and Videos. Once you do that you'll be able to drag and drop the music from the computer to the iPod.

on iTunes, click on the iPod in the devices column.
Find the music button above the picture of the iPod and click it
From there you can select which music you want on the iPod by ticking the boxes by the playlists, genres etc
Then click the sync button in the bottom right hand corner when you have made your selections
