Computer crashed, is it possible to transfer my dreamweaver software to my new computer?

I bought the dreamweaver software not to long ago and installed it onto my computer, unfortunately my computer crashed so i am not longer able to access it. Is it possible to somehow transfer that software from my old computer onto my new macbook? as a student its a little bit costly to have to repurchase the software ive lost, would adobe issue me a new product key? or is there another solution?

Hi brandonwatson,
Sorry to hear that your computer crashed. We will do our best to get your sorted.
Before we proceed, can you provide us with this information?
Did you use a disc to install your software, or did you download it from the Adobe site previously?
Do you have any purchase related information (receipts, email from Adobe) for your previous purchase?
Did you register your software with Adobe after you installed it?

  • Is it legal to transfer my Dreamweaver software to another computer?

    Hi,
I have Dw software installed on computer 'A'. I used it for a while but now it's dead. Can I install the Dreamweaver software from computer 'A' to another computer?

    In short, yes.
    Which version of Dreamweaver?
You normally need to Deactivate on the old computer first via Help > Deactivate (to free up the activation license in Adobe's eyes) then re-actiavte on the new computer.
If the old computer's dead then there's a small chance that you may need to call Adobe to re-activate on the new computer (if they think you've used up your quota) but see how you go with activating DW by yourself without calling them first.
You're allowed up to two activations on one license at any one time anyway so you're probably OK.

  • Computer with main library crashed. How do I transfer all files from ipod onto new computer without them being erased on ipod?

The hard disk on my laptop which contained my main i-tunes library crashed. I want to make sure I have a backup of my music and apps on a different computer. How can I transfer the music and such from my ipod touch to the new computer without erasing everything on my touch when I try to sync it? Do I just have to start over from scratch? Alot of my music is copied over from my cd collection.

There are a number of third-party apps which will allow you to copy media from an iOS device into a computer's iTunes library. A popular one is Senuti; there are others which are free.
Stop over at macupdate.com or http://download.cnet.com/mac/3151-20_4-0.html?tag=vtredir and do a search.

  • Old Computer crash. How can I transfer my music  from Ipod to new Computer?

Lightning struck my old computer, how can I transfer my music from the Ipod to the new computer (Windows XP) Itunes library?

You don't need to buy anything from the spammers that infect these forums. There are plenty of free options.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
    See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.

  • Old computer died - Is it possible to transfer my old music onto my new one

The title explains it all really. My old computer broke to where it was unable to charge and it died. I got a new computer, added itunes and don't have my music from my old computer. Is there any way you can think of At All where I could bring my music from my old computer to my new one when it has a dead battery and it cannot use an outlet.

  • My PC crashed and I need to set up the software on a new computer doe syncing to Outlook etc.  How?

My computer crashed and I had to install a new hard drive.  How to I install new software to use to manage my iPod Touch and sync to it and to Outlook?

Make sure you installed iTunes and set up your account.
Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iPod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your ipod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your device for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

  • Is it possible to transfer 09 Pages program on to new macbook pro?

Simply cant download it again as its been removed from the app store???
Hoping its as easy as loading it on to usb and transfer if not will have to call applecare.
    Any advice appreciated

If you previously bought Pages '09 from the Mac App Store, it is a self-contained application & you can copy it from one Mac to another.
If you had iWork '09 installed from the retail disk or downloaded trial, moving it rarely works as the apps are not self-contained. Reinstall from the original media. A possible way to get the iWork '09 apps from the Mac App Store would be to update to the new versions on a Mac that has iWork '09.3 installed. Don't worry, the iWork '09 apps won't be deleted. Then go to a Mac running Mountain Lion that does not have iWork '09 installed. It must be Mountain Lion, Snow Leopard won't work. If the iWork '09 apps are installed, compress them & delete the originals. Launch the Mac App Store & click on the 'install' buttons under the iWork apps. You will get a message that you can't install the new version on this Mac but it will offer to download the previous version for you. Voilá, you have the self-contained apps.

  • Possible to transfer Tiger Woods golf game to new PC?

A friend of mine purchased the Tiger Woods 2008 golf game download to a pc a few years ago. He has the product key.
Now he has a new PC,and can not find a way to transfer the game. There is no longer support for the game as a new (2012) version has been released. He tried to copy it to a DVD but was not successful. I feel he may have to repurchase the game.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

The download maybe still available, if it was Amazon. Otherwise, your only option is to purchase a new or used version.

  • Can I transfer my photoshop cs6 to a new computer

Can I transfer my photoshop software to my new computer?

You are allowed up to 2 activations on the same platform. So if you have a Windows laptop and desktop you install and activate on both.
De-activate and uninstall only when you are satisfied the new install works before you give away or recycle the old PC, otherwise you can use the old one if the new one goes in the repair shop.

  • I want to transfer Acrobat Pro 9 to a new computer

Acrobat 9 Pro is installed on a Windows 7 (32-bit) laptop. The laptop is being replaced with a Windows 7 (64-bit) machine. How do I transfer the existing software to the new hardware?

You deactivate on the old machine and then reinstall on the new machine. With Win 7, 64-bit, you will need to be sure you apply the updates.
