Computer Crashing...HELP?!?!

I've been having some issues with my iMac that I've owned for about 4 years now. It is crashing almost daily on me. Most of the problems arise when I am playing Tiger Woods Online Golf. My mac meets all the recommended specs for the game though. When not playing the game, sometimes a random line of distorted graphics will appear on my screen, or a wedged shaped graphic distortion of various sizes will occur. I've run the hardware test numerous times and it has found no problems. Below is the most recent crash report. Maybe someone will have some insight for me...?

I think you are getting Kernel Panics. Here are some trouble shooting articles to help you find the cause. Perhaps someone that knows more about how to read KP errors can zero in more on what to look for in your case.

Computer Crashed - Help Needed!!!

Hi, my computer crashed recently and we had to have a new hard drive put in. There are a few things I need help with, I'll list them, any help would be brilliant! I've read a few posts on here to do with getting the songs onto iTunes, but I'm worried that I'll use the wrong information so if anyone can give me some help relating to my questions it would be great, thanks!:
1. I've just put the disk that came with my iPod into the computer. After typing in my information a box comes up saying "Please plug in your new iPod so that it can be configured. Make sure you wait a few seconds for the iPod to be recognised by the system. Click Cancel to skip the configuration step.". Now I'm not sure what to do here. If I plug it in will it wipe my iPod? I've got a load of albums on there that I bought on iTunes (which I havent backed up onto cd) and I dont want to lose them!
2. My next question is basically what to do next? Basically I'm not brilliant with computers and am worried I will wipe everything! I have a 20GB iPod and I have about 1000 songs on there.
How do I load the disk that I got with the iPod? Is this disk iTunes or is it just information (I've had my iPod for a couple of years and can't remember!). Do I need to load iTunes from the Internet or is it on the disk?
How do I get the songs from my iPod onto iTunes?
I'm totally confused! Help!!!!

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
What kind of iPod are you using? 3G or 4G?
In your situation, yes, you should skip that step.
Basically the disk should install iTunes and the iPod software updater onto the computer. Our advice is that you should not use the CD but instead download the latest versions from the link above, and then install iTunes followed by the iPod software updater.

You could try recovering your email from a Time Machine backup. If you're not using Time Machine, or another backup discipline, this would be a good time to begin.
It's also a good idea to keep such records on a remote server in case of a total disaster where you lose the external disk along with your computer's hd. Dropbox is a good free option.
So, if you find that you're out of luck, it's only a $20 misfortune. Purchase from the Mac App Store and be on your way.
There's one glitch in this deal. You must completely delete the Trial Copy before trying to purchase from the Mac App Store. Use Yvan Koenig's script to uninstall iWork.

The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, s and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod.

Roaminggnome's answer is neither strictly accurate nor is it especially helpful. There exist a number of third party applications that are neither supported nor endorsed by Apple, but that once installed on your new MacBook will allow you to download your files from your iPhone. Just Google "back-up music from iPhone" and you should get a range of products to choose from.
And after you've bought and downloaded one of them and restored your iTunes content, go an buy an external drive to back-up your iTunes library

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

For a fresh download on a new hard drive, it's best to start with the CC desktop app. Sign into adobe.com and download it here: creative.adobe.com/products/download/creative-cloud
You can then launch the desktop, sign in and download PS & LR.

Please help! My computer crashed and now I am trying to reistall my CS3 software. I'm receiving Unable to Install errors for all of the programs in the Suite except the Acrobat 8 Professional. Can someone please help me? I cannot afford to upgrade, but need this software to do freelance work. I own the software and serial number but Adobe will not support me as it is an older version.

I downloaded and ran the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool. It showed no files to remove, but still said it was successful. I then tried reinstalling the entire suite. Acrobat 8 Professional was the only program that installed. All other programs gave me a componant failed error. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated?!

At some stage is is likely to have been connected to another computer's iTunes. It is now linked to that computer's library and iPhones can only be associated to one library at a time. Linking to a different one requires wiping the phone.
If you used the phone with another computer you owned you can transfer the iTunes library from that computer to this one and the phone will still be syncing with the same library it was before.
If all there is on the phone are items which can be backed up to iTunes and purchases which can be transferred you could do that, then wipe the phone and sync them back.

ok so heres the problem... i was downloading itunes latest version, and i was also on the itunes store. i redeemed a $15 dollar card and a $25 dollar card, then my computer crashed and my account ran dry to the amount beofre at .92 cents. now when i go to re-enter the code it says the cards already been used when i only bought one song.

try signing out of iTunes and sign back in
you can do this by:
-going to store menu at the very top of your page (usually located up there with file,edit,view,and controls)
-from the store menu, choose the "sign out" option
-sign back in using the same move
-credit balance should update to the correct balance
