Computer de-authorization/authorization

If I de-authorize ALL computers associated with my Apple ID, can I subsequently re-authorize one of them?
Thanks.

Yes.

If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

  • I tunes will not burn certain songs in a playlist and says the computer needs to authorize them?

I tunes has started to selectively remove songs from a playlist when i try to burn it saying that the computer needs to authorize this song?  How is that done?  i thought you authorized the computer to play the songs?

that's what the message should be referring too
    to authorize follow these steps
-go to store at the top of the page
    -choose authorize this computer
    hope this helps:)
ps: if you are burning purchases to a playlist, you are limited to burn the songs to a CD 7 times so if you exceed that amount for purchases iTunes won't let you

  • HT1911 I have reset my Apple ID & Password but I still cannot access the music I purchased using another computer, ID & PW. It keeps saying that my computer is not authorize to play the songs. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Help!

I have reset my Apple ID & Password but I still cannot access the music I purchased using another computer, ID & PW. It keeps saying that my computer is not authorize to play the songs. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Help!

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

  • Only have 3 devices authorized, but my new computer will not authorize. Itune says there are 5 devices connected already. why?

only have 3 devices authorized, but my new computer will not authorize. Itune says there are 5 devices connected already. why?

Perhaps the five includes computers that you no longer own, or a computer that has had a replacement hard drive put in it.
In your iTunes account, De-authorise All and then authorise the computer(s) that you still use.

  • Authorize, authorize, authorize infinite loop

When I sync my iPod Touch (updated), I get into a loop of Authorize-This computer is authorized-Authorize-This computer is authorized and on and on. If I don't authorize I will lose 3 Apps (only one identified). So I have to cancel to get out of the loop. Meanwhile, I can't open the one App identified that is threatened.
How do I break out of this loop? I have gone through all of the troubleshooting solutions.

Same Problem on Win VISTA Laptop. Inerested in solution.

  • Roles,Authorization,Authorization objects for APD

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone give me the list of roles, authorizations, authorization objects required related to APD.
Its been a problem for us getting stuck at each authorization.
    With Regards,
    Meiyappan.

The Analysis Process Designer allows you to work with a large number of objects. This includes different BW objects such as InfoProviders, InfoObjects or queries, and also other objects such as temporary database tables that are influenced by actions  already carried out and are authorization-relevant.

  • PC computer will not authorize with Digital Editions

While authorizing my PC with the Adobe ID the message comes up saying the server cannot connect to the Internet while the Internet is both fully running on Wifi and is plugged in with a cable to the router. At one point when the server connected and began authorizing it continued to authorize for 2 hours without any progress.
Why does the server not connect and authorize to use Digital Editions on my computer?

Yes, they both have the same account. It is saying there is a "missing folder"
"The required file was not found or has a permission error. Correct this permission problem and try again, or deauthorize this computer if the permission cannot be changed."
Basically when I try to sync my iphone to my cpu it wants to delete all my purchased music and apps.

  • I keep getting a window that says my computer is not authorize to "sync" or copy files to my iPod?

This is the window I keep getting even after I authorize my computor:
I lost count on how many times I authorized my computer. I already deleted the SC file and changed the the setting as suggested in the account file in my computer, but made no difference.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hi,
Try deleting track from your computer and go to iTunes Store>purchased under quicklinks and download again.

  • New computer songs on old computer I CANT AUTHORIZE! I do not have access

to the old computer, it was the one I used at work, and I no longer work there. SO... I go into my account info and there are all the songs I've bought, an it shows I have 2 computers authorized, how do I get those songs to go into my purchased music, so I can authorize them for my new laptop? It's really ******* me off. I bought them, and it's obvious that there is knowledge of that, but when I go into purchase music, it doesn't show it. I supposidly can authorize 5 computers, but I can't authorize this one. What do I need to do?

Did you copy the actual m4p files from your work computer and put them on your laptop?
Because iTMS only allows one download per song.
If you didn't move the actual song files, you'll have to buy them again.
iTMS isn't like Rhapsody or other services where you "rent" the songs and can stream them to any PC. With iTMS songs, you own the files, and you have to keep track of them.

  • Why don't some apps sync with comment not authorize for computer and go authorize computer at store. The computer is an authorized computer. What to do?

I sync my iPad to computer and get the following message: "some of the purchased items on the iPad, including 'Angry Birds', could not be transfeered to your itues library because you are not authorized for them on this computer. to authorize this computer for items purcchase from the iTunes store, choose Store>Authorize This computer.
I don't understand because the computer is one of my authorized computers. What am I missing?

I have had this problem and after some time noticed that the apps that i couldnt put on my new computer were downloaded with a different ITUNES ID.
    e.g.
I downloaded about 50 under [email protected] which was my account.
There were about 10 under [email protected] which is my daughters account (she used a $20.00 itunes card)
And a couple were from my sisters account [email protected]
i logged into those accounts and authorised the computer for each ID and it worked fine... You just have to remember what ID's downloaded each item. (app, song, etc) Log into each ID, authorise, then Sync....
    Hope this helps..

    Hello patfa,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
There are still some troubleshooting steps left for this issue where you're repeatedly requested to put in your Apple ID and password to authorize your computer.  Make sure you are authorizing the purchases from an administrator account on your computer, and also turn off the User Account Controls.  Take a look at the article below for more information.
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases

  • HT201253 iPhone / Computer itunes store authorization

I bought a used iPhone for my daughter, and it will not sync to my computer.  Message says computer is NOT authorized on the iTunes store, but it is.  I think the issue has to do with the phone's serial number or something related to what it contained previously.  May have been a bad purchasing decision.  ANy suggestions?

    Hello there, sarahg12.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting repeated prompts for authorization:
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1389
All the topics are relevant but this one tends to be the most common culprit:
Authorize using the correct account name
The items you are trying to play might have been purchased using a different iTunes Store account. To determine which account was used to purchase an item, follow these steps:
Select a purchased song in your library and choose File > Get Info.
Click the Summary tab. Note the Account Name that appears in the list. This is the account name (Apple ID) you will need to use when authorizing your computer to play this purchase.
Note: The account name that appears is the one you used when purchasing the item and does not change if the account name (Apple ID) changes.
If you've authorized the Apple ID that is shown in the Summary tab, you can check the purchase history for that Apple ID from Store > View My Account. If your purchase history does not reflect the purchase of the items in your iTunes library, consider any other Apple ID you may have created, and authorize the computer for your additional Apple ID.
If you forgot the password to one of your accounts, you can recover it using Apple's password-recovery website.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • New Computer Stuck in Authorization Loop

I recently bought a new PC and I seem to be stuck in an authorization loop.  I successfully authorized the PC but some purchased songs from my library won't import or play on the new PC.  When I try and play from the shared library I get a pop up to authorize the computer even though it is already authorized.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

imported files and settings from my old Macbook using its hard drive
    Therein lies the glitch.
Reformat your Mac using Lion Recovery
There's a file or setting that was imported that's causing the problem. Better to use your new Mac for a few days to make sure it's stable before importing data from another Mac.

  • ITunes - purchases cannot transfer to iPod because computer is not authoriz

iTunes says my purchases cannot transfer to my iPod because my computer is not authorized to play them.
Yet, after putting my password in to "authorize" the computer the purchases play just fine. Still, they cannot be transfered.
I took screenshots to email them to support, but as always they didn't know how to help me. I wish I could show them here, here is the description at least.
Itunes1. Here you can see that my iTunes is up to
date, the songs have been purchased, and they are
playing, thus showing that the computer IS activated.
Itunes2. Here you can see that my iPod software is up
    to date.
Itunes3. Here you can see the error message that I've
been getting, that my computer IS NOT authorized. But
from jpg 1, you can see that it obviously IS
authorized. Now can you see my frustration? Can someone
PLEASE help me fix this problem?
    Ryan

additional info:  I looked into similar complaints.  1 suggested that something is wrong with the files.  Delete them off of computer and divice (but they are not on my divice anymore) and then download them again from iTunes purchase history.  Went in to check iTunes purchases to make sure the songs would be there if I did follow these steps.  Well, NONE of them are in my purchase history.....probably the real problem here.  I had an original iPod Nano and then upgraded to my current iTouch.....same computer for both.  Could there have been a problem at the point of switching over to the iTouch?  That doesn't make sence to me because it is through iTunes and it was the same account for both.  I thought I'd be smart and put all the songs in a playlist and burn to a CD and them load them back in that way.....but I was not authorized to burn to a CD....go figure.  Any idease would be great!!
