Computer does not display my phone, it shows my sons iphone
When plugging my iphone into the computer, it displays my sons iphone, but all the contents, serial #, etc are mines...what's wrong?...we tried to change the name to my phone, by going under properties...unable to do so...can someone help??
Oh Tom...ITunes is fine, (thanks for info)...The problem is in "Auto Play"...not iTunes. I think some kind of a way, my son did something???...Tom, what is auto play???...it ask if U want to open this device in several different ways...I'm gonna try and shoot u a picture...here goes..I can't take a picture ..Tom, when I plug the phone into my laptop, using a USB cord...this "Auto Play" box pops up asking me to open this device using Internet explorer, import pics, or import pics & video...does this box pop up when U first attach your phone to the computer??

Does not display a picasa slide show on my website. IE does.

ITunes is not recognizing my iPhone 4 after several years of using iTunes and an iPhone. I receive an error message that now says my Apple device is not set up for iTunes. Why would this stop working and what do I do to rectify the problem?

ok i have an iphone 4s ios6 on windows7 and every time i try to restore in itunes my iphone gets stuck showing apple logo and loading bar i have had it pluged in for over 3 hours i have tried i recovery ,ireb,tinyumbrella none seem to help ,any ideas if thers a solution for this

I have an iMac that I want to transfer stored itunes to my Optimus LG 5 android phone. When I plug my phone into the computer the computer does not recognize the phone. What can I do to so I can then transfer my tunes?
The screen is all black, so it's not the backlight. It's weird because when I get the computer off of sleep mode, it shows the log in screen really quickly. So my LCD isn't broken either. It just switches back to the wrong resolution I guess. Which makes the screen black again.

Try this:
Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
Make sure itunes is updated to the lates version on the computer.

He said he determined that "foreign pictures" -- meaning any pictures not taken using the iPhone's camera -- were the cause. Once he deleted the "foreign pictures" -- such as pictures obtained from receiving texts from others which included pictures that he saved onto the iPhone, then iTunes worked.
In my case, the fix was to upgrade the iPhone's OS from 5.1.1 to the latest version.
Now, both issues are solved:
Windows recognizes the iPhone as a storage device.
iTunes can see pictures that I've saved on the iPhone. -
OS 10.9 Finder sidebar suddenly does not displaying proper contents
OS 10.9 Finder sidebar suddenly does not display most items; only shows couple items I don't even want there. Can change what shows in first finder window but sidebar not responding to "Preference" changes. Screen shot is what it shows now. I downloaded a Yahoo widget and their widget player app today, could that cause this?
I did force quite finder--> no effect.
Finder uaed to list in "sidebar" each of the main folders in HD i.e Documents, Pictues, Downloads, Movies, Applications...(I get same window contents open if click on HD icon as when clikc on Finder). Now none of that.
Just now went back into preferences and unchecked everything in sidebar section. If I check for it to just show HD then everuything does show up but several windows to the right and HD icon is all that shows in sidebar but only if I first then click on (in order across the open windows: Users then geoffreylevens1 (system name).
If recheck items they do NOT show up in sidebar. See attached

I have just done the IOS 5 something update on my phone it went to back up and now my computer does not recognise my phone and the phone screen just has the ITunes symbol with an arrow and usb cable on it. Does anyone have ideas of what I can do?
More info for you, I have not had the phone jail broken or anything like that. Please help as my phone has everything on and was fine before I did the update.

I recently updated to the new iOS through my computer with my iPhone 4 pluged in via USB. It has shut down my phone and just shows the iTunes icon with the USB cord to plug in. When I try to sync my phone with the computer iTunes does not recognize it!! So now my iPhone is useless and I really need it back to working order!! Please help......Hilda

I have 3 comboboxes on a xaml page and most of the time when I select the first item on the full page list displayed when the number of items are > 5, the screen returns to the combobox and the box is blank. The combobox.SelectedItem is valued but it
does not display. This does not happen every time and I have seen this using the emulator and my windows 8.1 phone. If I select any other item in the list they always display but when I go back and select the first item the box is blank.
Does anyone know what I could be doing that is causing this?Thanks for your help. When I run the code below and the page is displayed, I select an item from the page list and it displays fine and then I select the first item from the page list and I do not see that selected item in the box.
If I remove the SelectedIndex=0 it all works fine except I do not have an item selected for the initial display. Below should show problem and should work copy/paste in universal blank app.

My ipod nano 3rd generation, when connected by usb, does not show up in itunes, does not show up on my computer, does not seem to charge by the wall charger. It just has a black screen. Any ideas for me?
I've run diagnostics. Can't find device. I've tried resetting. The toggle has been turned on and off.Cable works fine on my other iPod. Reset by pressing menu and center button together for 6-10 seconds. Left it to charge for many hours. Started acting up while running. Suddenly the music stopped playing but my Nike + was still working for the rest of my run. Took it straight it home and plugged it in to the wall to recharge since the battery was fairly low. Looked like it recharged ok but then screen went blank and now does it not show up on iTunes, does not seem to recharge by the wall charger (apple wall charger plugged into a surge protector in India). I have turned the hold switch off and on many times.
Sounds like a repair issue, which is not easy to do in India :( -
I have a subscribed calendar on my iPhone. The today view in notification center shows that I have an event at xxxx and tomorrow view says I have x events but the calendar day view does not display any of the events. I need this so I can easily see which rooms my events are in. Dows anyone know how to make the subscribed calendar show up in calendar day view?
Interesting. May have uncovered a bug. It seems that limited duration events will display, but all day events wont on mine. (iPhone 5). Does that compare to what you are seeing (unfortunately, I have nothing in a subscribed calendar until the week end, so difficult to check. I do seem to recall seeing an event from one this past week end on the iPad, however).
