My problem is this.  I downloaded Network Magic from the link on the web page, after I made my purchase, on every computer.  Things were working fine with the computer above, then one day I was changing the internet usage times and I received an error message:
 THE COMPUTER NEEDS NETWORK MAGIC, NETWORK MAGIC VERSION 5.0 OR LATER MUST BE RUNNING ON THE SELECTED COMPUTER IN ORDER FOR YOU TO CONNECT TO IT.
Now prior to that day I was about to connect to it from my computer.  I am also still receiving Network Magic reports on the above computer sent to my email everyday.  If the software is not install like the error message says then how is it that  I continue to receive the computer usage reports?

If Network Magic is not now installed on the question computer, you need to unsbscribe from the E-mails themselves to stop them.
As for not seeing the computer from the other computer, you need to adjust Vista's Network and Sharing Center, to allow the computers to see each other.
What build of McAfee Firewall are you running?

    Companies such as powerbookmedic, wegenermedia, and others can take in portable macs of vintage or newer (contact them for details on what they do, and how they accept work orders) for repair and can fix most anything; and have a parts inventory. Modern repair workstations allow the equipped service company to fix complex issues and they do troubleshooting. Sometimes the cost is less than a replacement logic board.

    Usually the issue is caused by hardware, especially if there is an indication of machine failure in the crash log or other screen image text.
    A working last model MacBook (mid-2010) would be a better 'first mac' to have.
    Hopefully you can sort it out.
    If not, there likely are fair parts in it.

    When I try to install Final Cut Studio, I receive the error "your computer does not have the hardware to run this software." I just purchased a brand new 13in macbook pro with 4gb of ram about 2 weeks ago. This computer is more then capable of running this software so what's the problem? How do I fix it?     There is no Final Cut Studio 5 (yet). The current version is Final Cut Studio 3, which includes Final Cut Pro 7. Final Cut Pro 5 is NOT compatible with IntelMacs. Version 5.1 was the first version to be compatible with IntelMacs.

    I would expect to see that if I tried to open a 8.0 project with Premiere 7.0. But that is not the case.
    This happens with I try to open a 8.1.0 ("Caravan") project with 8.0.1 ("Single Barrel").
    That's just from June to October. So if someone creates a project with the October version, no one with the June version can open it. And yes, I do have the latest AAM.
    OK, so I just update and quit whining, right? Well, when I check for new updates, there are none. According to Adobe Application Manager, 8.0.1 is the latest. I also ran the RemoteUpdateManager, just for the hell of it. No updates there, either.
    What good does the subscription do, then?

    Ouch. I'm dealing with a multi-user package in a lab of 30+ computers. A package with the whole CC.
    I can't choose individual apps to install, so I have to pass on the updates, or re-install the whole CC, every time.

    I plug in my iPod to charge from my computer and it syncs with my iTunes, but I've been getting a message that a list of 13 of my apps cannot be loaded onto my iPod because it doesn't have the latest software to support them. I have done all the software updates for my iPod and iTunes says it is completed up-to-date. Do I need to delete the apps and redownload them or what?

    ok well like lllaass said, most apps require 4.3 or later iOS software. chances are since the apps worked before, the apps themselves got updated and will no longer work with your software version.

  • How can i share my library with my new computer when the itunes on the new computer does not have the "look for shared libraries" command in the preferences/shared pane?

    It worked fine before i updated the most recent update, My old computer readds the new one but the new one does not read the old one now.

    Is the iTunes library actually shared on the old computer?
    I have never had a need for forcing iTunes to look for shared libraries, it simply detects them.

    I down load the latest version drag it into applications and then to the dock saying replace the older version and when I open Firefox the next time it says I have the older version.

      I've been all over this site and still can't get the simple answer. The updater in Magic can't be trusted. You would think the  latest version number would be easy to find.

    What page is telling you this? If it is google.com/firefox that page is outdated and reporting wrong information.
    Change your homepage to about:home or something else...
