Computer freesing at the starting

recently when I turn on my computer a grey curtain roll down on my monitor and a warning to restart the computer for unespected closure of Mac OS X appears. After restarting, all warks regularly. I've alredy repared the permissions and I've used the Disk Warrior unsuccessfully. Please help me.

I already have since 3 weeks the same problem, screen freezing at starting, I logged out all peripherical (except bluetooth keyboard and mouse).
I also tried to press The apple key+S at starting to be logged as mono user for fsck -y but no way to use my keyboard then...Sometimes I have to reboot my Imac 12 or 15 times before using it correctly...I check in panic.log file and here 's the message :

I have an HP G62 laptop that i bought four n half years ago.I m using it for my schoolwork but now when i start it,it doesnt go past the Windows ico.I have tried safe mode,it didnt work and it failed the start up and run-in tests.Is there a way i can get it back to work or at least just recover my documents and files first and then maybe do anything else that might help.

One of the user accounts on my computer cannot access the start up disk or its user folder.

I have two user accounts on my computer, both with administrator permissions. One account appears to function normally; however, when I log in to the other account, the System Disk does not appear on my desktop, and does not appear in Finder either. When I ran the disk utility as the user with the problem account, I was instructed to repair the Disk by restarting in recovery mode. Running the Disk Utility in recovery mode was unsuccesful. I received a message saying the disk could not be repaired, and that I should back up what I could, then reformat. I exited the utility and restarted my computer logging in under the user that does not appear to have a problem. I ran disk utility as this user; however, this time the utility reports that everything seems to be okay. I log back in with the problem account and the problem stil exists. I cannot see the system disk.

Thanks for your help. I didn't see your tip until after I had decided to delete the user account then recreate it. When I recreated the account, I thought I was still in trouble, because the disk did not appear on my desktop or in finder. Then I saw your tip to check the preferences. I changed the preferences and now I am able to see the disk in finder and on the desktop. Your tip to check Finder preferencese was something I did not know about. I am not sure how they were changed. I don't remember ever changing them. I guess thinking about it more, the default option may be to have the disk hidden from the desktop and finder, In the which case I was simply remembering wrong.
The only thing that puzzles me still is why when I ran Disk Utility on the one account, it indicated that the disk needed to be repaired, but that it was unable to repair the disk, though, when I ran Disk Utility on the other account, it said everything was okay. After deleting and recreating the account, Disk Utility no longer indicates any problems. It looks like there was something wrong, just don't know exactly what. At anyrate, it is all fixed, and I now know about the finder and desktop view options. Glad it wasn't something more serious. Thanks for your help.

I have a macbook pro. It is three years old. It has been working perfectly fine. However, as of yesterday, whenever I push the "on" button, the computer does not turn on. The little light comes on indicating that the computer has started, but there is nothing on the computer screen, and it does not make the usually noise that it makes when it cycles on.
Any suggestions?

Check the battery status to make sure it has a full charge (and that the charger is working). Then make sure the screen backlight is turned up.
If the backlight is up then, try forcing the machine to shutdown (hold the power button for 5 - 10 seconds). Then restart the computer(listen for the start up chime).
If the computer does start up and you still cannot see anything reset the PRAM by forcing the machine to shut down (hold power button as before), then press the power button and start holding the key combo
<Command>+<Option>+p+r
until you hear the start up chime two or three times, then release the keys and allow to boot

Internet Explorer immediately launches when try to open the desktop from the Start screen

When I log onto my computer, instead of the Start screen opening, the Desktop opens, AND when the Desktop opens, Internet Explorer immediately launches there.
Other times, when I log-on, my computer will open on the Start screen, but then immediately launches Internet Explorer on the Start screen. I didn't click any Internet Explorer icons."
Also, when I am doing something on the Start screen and decide I want to go to the Desktop and I click the "Desktop tile" it switches me to the Desktop and launches Internet Explorer. Again, I didn't click the Internet Explorer tile.
(I just wanted to go to the blank Desktop.)

When opening PC the start menu will automatically start Internet Explorer in APP mode, and if we set Internet Explorer to open in desktop mode, then it will automatically open under desktop when start?
As we have no Internet Explorer in startup configured, so it won't start by itself. We may try to replace Internet Explorer item's position on the start menu with a different APP, then check what happens(drag and drop the desktop icon on the place of the
Internet Explorer);
Is the MSN webpage your home page here? If not, then there might be some application on the startup automatically launches this page, we may take a try to disable one at a time to check; and if this is your default home page, try to replace it with another
one, then change it back.

You should sync your ipod to your computer regularly.

Have you tried booting into the Recovery HD and running Disk Utility to see if anything needs fixing on the HD. Restart holding down Command+r and once it hopefully boots select Disk Utility>Repair Disk. If anything gets fixed click on repair disk again until you get a clean pass. Try restarting as normal from the Apple menu once done.
Do you have backup to restore from if it proves to be the Mac has a hardware fault?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Windows could not start the FLEXnet Licensing Service service on Local Computer Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.

Today I installed Adobe Director 11.5. I received a couple of errors in the FLEXnet Licensing Service. It looks It could not start. I tried to download the Licence fix what I found on Google but that doesn't work, so I checked the 'Service' at service (windows).
It's status is empty. When I double click on the FLEXnet Licensing Service, clicked on start at the opened window and an error is coming:

Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.
I don't understand what it says with this message, only that it is impossible to start. However, that is not what I am trying of course, I want to start the FLEXnet Licensing Service, service.
Re-installing of the software, doesn't make any change. How can I start it so Director is also working?

I have screwed up a bunch of settings etc. on macbook pro running preinstalled lion. I think I should is to wipe the computer and reinstall to start over again. I will loose nothing of importance except a few passwords. Is this wise? How do I do it?

To get everything straightened out, I was thinking I should do a delete and reinstall and just start over like it was a brand new computer. I will only loose some usermane and password info and my history and cookies. There is nothing else on the computer that is not on another device somewhere. Does this sound like the right thing to do? I cannot seem to find ways to correct the problems indivdually, though I am sure they are there. If so, how do I do it? My computer did not come with any type of disc, I do not believe. Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Yes, that sounds reasonable.
Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list.
      Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
        and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process
      has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
