Computer Freezes but comes unstuck with volume

My computer keeps freezing while doing tasks such as surfing the web or typing in Pages. Oddly enough, when I adjust the volume it unfreezes the program. I own a March 2011 Macbook Pro. What do you think the problem is?

Next I would try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then try restoring the iPod. Note that this will erase the iPod. For recovery mode see:

Have you updated your iTunes? iOS7 requires at least iTunes 11.

iTunes cannot convert protected WMA tracks. There may also be problems if it can't get full access permissions. What exactly are you trying to do when the error occurs?

Do you have an example? I develop Google maps for Web pages and haven't had problem with Safari and its extensions, only FF which I took out all the addons and plug-ins, but it wouldn't surprise if the Google map code doesn't display the map or information for the map or doesn't work with newer versions of Safari.

Computer freezes when running RESMAN with VME crate powered down

I have lost the whole day today (thankfully it was only one day) trying to fix this annoying problem, I'm posting here in case someone runs into this same thing in the future.
Ok, the problem I was able to reproduce was:
1. Run RESMAN with the crate powered--> OK
2. Power down crate.
3. Run RESMAN: the whole computer freezes in the "Searching for Statically Configured Devices" step, no way to recover (reboot necessary)
Although this is the problem I was able to reproduce, the system also froze sometimes when not running RESMAN and powering down the crate for cards insertion or extraction.
My system:
- VME crate
- VME-MXI-2 in slot 0
- MXI-2 Cable
- PCI-MXI-2
- Windows XP Pro SP3
- NI-VXI 3.1.1 and 3.7, MAX 2.?, 3.1.1, 4.6.2, 4.7.4
It turns out MXI-2 cables are not symmetric, when I switched both ends between PCI and VME, everything worked as it should.

I was not able to find that page (I found it when I had already solved the problem), probably because you would never expect that a cable whose appearance is completely symmetric is in fact orientation dependent. And, no, my cable (NI original) doesn't come with any labels identifying its ends.

This wouldn't happen to be a seagate GoFlex drive would it? I've had similar problems with that line of drives, sometimes to the point where everything stops working, and if I manually unplug it, the system catches up and starts working again.

Problem solved!
First, the underlying cause MAY have been an unusual circumstance: a smartphone (Galaxy Android) was placed next to the iMac, turned on and with Bluetooth enabled, and left for hours to charge. Could this proximity have resulted in the Mac getting some strange Bluetooth input?
Fix: Using the temporarily-installed mouse and keyboard, I removed the existing Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad entries. (I just removed every Bluetooth device.) Then I used the standard procedure to re-pair the wireless keyboard and trackpad.
After removing all Bluetooth devices, I could not get the Mac to detect any Bluetooth devices until I restarted the Mac, at which point device detection and pairing worked flawlessly.
My best --and admittedly ignorant, sketchy-- theory: Some mal-formed event got stuck in the Bluetooth input stream, causing the trackpad up and/or down states to be hyper-sticky. That event couldn't be cleared without removing the originating device and re-pairing.

The contents of the Music and Videos apps aren't included in a device's backup. If you don't have them on your computer's iTunes library then if they are iTunes purchases then you should be able to copy them back from your old iPad via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to your new iPad. If some/all of them are not iTunes purchases and you don't have them on your computer nor on your backup of your library then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

I can't access Bing Maps on this desktop computer. Bing comes up with the search function. A thumbnail map will come up in search results, but when I click to get the large map, I get a blank screen. The left sidebbar is there, just not the map image.

This began happening a few weeks ago. At first, I could click the thumbnail map, and it would bring up the large map. Now, all I get is a blank page.

Your dsplay is getting extended onto the external monitor. Chcnage the setting to duplicate it or only display on the external monitor and you should be fine,
