Computer Freezing using adobe flash player

Hello, I have been using adobe flash player for a very long time and this issue has only appered recently.
My computer would freeze for 1-3 mins when I watch youtube or watch streams( pretty much anything that uses adobe flash player)
at first I thought it was my laptop but found that no one else had this issue and then I realized it might be the flash player ( smart right? )
I am not sure what I must do to solve this issue please Help. I have the NV53 gateway laptop Windows 7 and I use firefox and google chrome, both had the same issue when watching videos.
Please help, I never had this issue before and it was only with the recent update of adobe flash player. The freezes are random but when it occurs the screen freezes and the audio is still playing but super slow and it is very loud Please Help thank you!

Can you verify that you are using the latest version of Flash Player?  You can get the latest version here:  get.adobe.com/flashplayer

I am running windows 7, firefox 4 v6, and AFP 10.1. I have tried reinstalling AFP and upgrading to the firefox beta. I first experienced this after installing ADP 10.1 and have uninstalled that program until I can resolve this issue.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Click Check Now to make sure the currently installed Flash plugin is up to date.

  • Computer keeps freezing w/adobe flash player 10...help!!!

ok, so i've literally done EVERYTHING that this site, and the microsoft windows site, have recommended.  yesterday "eidnolb" had one final suggestion; un-check the accelerator box on the flash player logo.  i did that and figured that if that didn't do the trick, i'd know about in about a week, or so.  that's how long all of the suggestions lasted before i have to un-install and re-install flash player 10.  well...last night i was listening to christmas music and after a couple of hours (only this time??) my computer again crashed and my only choice was to (again) cold boot it, which isn't really good for it.  i have not yet done the uninstall/reinstall.  i'm hoping someone, somewhere, has more suggestions to try!
i read (somewhere) someone asking if they could uninstall version 10 and then re-install version 9.  however, at this point, i have no idea where i saw that, or if it worked??  if that worked, or will work, what do i do if i then get a message that there is a newer version of flash player?  can i ignore it?
i'm using IE 8 and, as stated, (trying to use) adobe flash player 10.  i also have netflix that i use quite often.  actually i think that's what started this mess to begin with?
please, i've read all the suggestions on here about a lot of people having the same problem and as far as i can tell there seems to be nothing i can do about it, seeing as i really do need the flash player on my computer.
    ANYONE...PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
    thanx-cat

sorry all...don't mean to keep posting, but i'm guessing that the more info i give
all of you, the better the help maybe.
this entire mess (everything i've now listed) really started with the IE 9 Beta, which is what made un-install it after about a week (i think), and then install IE 8.  i had never used IE 8 though.  i went from IE 7, to IE 9 Beta, to IE 8, which is what i have now.  i did all the un-installing and re-installing of the different versions correctly.  i've checked all of that, but is there a chance that the 9 Beta just "glitched out" my laptop and it isn't going to get fixed until they have the usable IE 9??  the IE 9 Beta REALLY messed with my mail page the most.  i attempted to contact yahoo about a fix, to no avail!  LOL  (we all know this!)
also...why am i NOT the only one that the freezing happens to?  there are others on this forum that have that problem.  i don't know if they're having the other problems that i am, but as far as my laptop freezing up on me...  i know i'm not alone?  with xmas coming up so soon, i haven't watched anything on netflix in a couple of weeks.  my news videos seem to play correctly; and now youtube works.  i just have no idea what's going on that is causing this to freeze up at other times, or the other, smaller glitches?
there's not a doubt in my mind that this has something to do with the current version of adobe, and IE 8...i just don't know what it is...and my frustation level is at about 19!!  LOL   there are days that i just shut the whole thing down/off 'cause i'm just tired of dealing with it!!  that has made it terribly hard to get my xmas chopping done.  i do it all on-line.  between my problems and problems with vendors sites, my bank a/c has (3 times!) gotten charged multiple times for a single order.  then "we" start calling people!  the bank, the vendors, the bank again......
see what i'm up against here!!!!!!  i'm cracking me up this a.m.  macy's placed 9 orders and charged my a/c 9 times, the other day!  needless to say, i ran in the red for 2 days while they figured it all out.  in doing all that, i couldn't even get an order # outta them, so i told them to just cancel EVERYTHING!!  good thing i have a great rep at my bank, huh??!!  'course they're also messed up...at the beginning of dec. i (somehow?) transfered the same amount to my chkg. a/c, 4 times??!!  yep...the bank's gotten yelled at, too, during this season of such wonderful happines!!  BAH-HUMBUG!!

  • Why can't u use adobe flash player with iPad II ?

I use adobe flash player a good bit on my pc but I cannot download it from my ipadII why?

it's an Internet Browser add-on and apple doesn't allow any add-ons for the Safari Application due to security issues, certain add-ons could give potential spyware, virus, or other things to get your personal information.
Apple computers allow add-ons because typically people aren't using their computer to make emergency phone calls and things like that like they do from the mobile devices, so the computers can afford to get errors and crash while it would be a huge liability for Apple to allow the phone's potential harm.

Can you see the Flash animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?  If yes, Flash Player is correctly installed and working.
If not, what files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash ?

  • Should I use adobe flash player ?

    Hi,
I am an OSX user version 10.9.4
I have for some time been using Adobe Flash Player and since then I have problems watching anything that moves. I get a message box from Adobe asking me if Adobe can use more space on my disk. What does this mean?
Is there a better program other than Adobe Flash Player?  Or do I even need a Flash Player? Is there a Flash player in Mavericks?
    Lovely Day to You

In my experience, the biggest risk with Flash is that unscrupulous third-party web sites may say you need to update Flash and actually load you up with malware. Please see these older articles:
    http://www.thesafemac.com/tag/fake-flash-player/
Flash is safely managed by ignoring popups telling you to download a new version. If you see one, go to System Preferences > Flash Player and select the "Advanced" tab to see what version you have:
Then go to Adobe's Flash Player download site:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
and compare the Flash version shown there with what your System Preferences show. If you are below what is shown, it is safe to update from that page AND THAT PAGE ONLY!
Note I set my Flash preferences to "Never check for updates. That way, any popup saying you need to update is known to be a scam that could damage your computer. I manually check for new update about twice a month. You can easily set a Reminder if you feel you won't remember to check.

  • How can I use adobe flash player on iPad2

How can I use adobe flash player on iPad 2?

You cannot.  Adobe does not make it for ipad.
This has been discussed over and over and over and over and over and over again on these forums.  Please do a forums search - right side of this page.
There is no need to add yet another thread on this very tired subject.
Adobe has announces d that they are selling a platforms that will allow ipad users to view flash content.  This is nothing that users will have.  The developer of the video will have to do this.

  • How to successfully install and use Adobe Flash Player on an iMac?

I have the latest OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.  It makes actually several years that I have not been able to view videos that use Adobe Flash Player.  This is true of several sports websites I like such as ATPtour.com and ESPN.com.  A few days ago I have upgraded my OS to the most current one.  And, I retried downloading Adobe Flash Player and it made no difference.  I tried to see the videos using numerous different browzers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) with no success.
I know Steve jobs hated Adobe Flash Player because it was so inefficient.  But, I thought one could still use it with Mac computers.  Are you guys having as much difficulty as I am?  If not what are the solutions to running Adobe Flash Player?  Thank you in advance for your information.

You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

    noelenefromashford,
I'm in the same boat. Safari 6.0.5, stalls, and stops playing video (youtube, vimeo, etc). I tried the same videos with Firefox and they play fine!
    Running 10.8.4 on Mac tower.
I just switched from an older Macbook Pro 15" with the same OS version and browsers , and never had that issue. What gives?
